Day 44 - The smell is divine, and the buds are looking very pretty. Beautiful fade going on in the leaves, almost like a purple/red/black. Planning to tapper down the nutrients as we are coming closer to Harvest. Crucial to keep the pH in range during flowering and being away a few days, I wasn't able to correct it until I was back. So they were drinking more water than uptaking nutrients.. leaving a high EC in the system. Corrected the issue by adding plain RO water, treated with cleanse, no nutrients. They are now on track and could do with a last defoliation, but I've been holding it off. Will get around to it over the next few days. The buds are sticky, smell great and rock hard. Dehumidifier was added to the tent to try lower the humidity to a better range. Can't wait to see the end results and product. Another 2 weeks an I think we will be good.

Slowly going into flower. I mean real slow lol. It's showed some pistills about a week ago and still you really have to look for them a week later. My veg lights are 5700k and are on 24/7. Guna let them stretch a bit more and flip to my flower light's 3500k and change time to 20/4 sometime this week

Day 55! Just shy of the 8 week mark, I reckon next week the Lemon cherries will be getting the 🔪 buds swollen out nice, still lots of white pistils and very clear trichomes, but with the way there developing I’ll have to keep a close eye.. gorillas starting to bulk up now, as always I’m looking forward to what this week brings, untill next time! 👊🏻

The statistics on Frostbanger indicate 50-day flower. Pics show mostly clear and milky. There are a few with amber trichs and many orange pistils indicating maturation. At least 3 more weeks for maturity on these gals. I continue manual control of the environment and using 3 circulating fans and the 4” exhaust vent from my 3x3. I have the AC pushing air in and the exhaust pulling air out. This creates a neutral pressure tent environment-neither positive nor negative. It looks like growth has stopped and plant height has been reached. Now is the time for buds to fatten and frost up. All 6 of them are short remaining less than 3 ft. They range from 15 to 31 inches. #4, 5 &6 are showing some fade, particularly #4. Upon opening the tent, a melon smell comes off the buds if I get close, and more stickiness was observed during the process of defoliation. They are living up to the new strain’s name. #5 is the frostiest followed by #2. Wow week 3 of flower and that much frost already. Before FastBuds announced the strain name and characteristics, I was disappointed that FBA2502 could be an indica sleepy strain but the universe provides what you need at the time. This grow is over. Both plants have been processed & after drying for 14 days (trying to stay 60/60 as much as possible) Each plant has been bagged and locked into it's cure phase via Grove bags. Both phenos were absolutely phenomenal specimens & growing them out was an honor. Pheno one dominated her sister in every aspect except for Terps. She grew faster , was more resilient , developed denser trichome coated flowers and ultimately yielded more @ 220g. Her smell is bright Citrus with Skunky undertones. Now the shorty pheno may not have yielded as much as her taller more vigorous sister, but her terps were off the charts! Pungent sweet Citrus that almost burns the sinuses. She came in @ 147g with 60g of floof that I've arranged for pressing in the nearby future. Her buds were not as dense as her sister's but notably stickier.All in all I'm very pleased with a total yield of 428g. I got both plants divided into four 1/4 LB Grove Bags with RH locked at 60-62%RH . Smoke report coming after a minimum 2 week cure. Thank you to everybody who stopped by to check this grow out. [Week 5 - Rapid Growth] In just one week, the Fat Banana plant experiences its biggest growth spurt so far within the minigrow box. The leaves become lusher, and the stems grow stronger as the plant reaches for the light.

Commencing Week 7: day 43 on January 12th Today I left the dirty girls (I call them that because they are in soil 😋) out of the tent for their first time in their lives to hang out with some new girlfriends (my photoperiod s). They seem very happy to be hanging out with them 👍👍 The other day I took one of my personal photoperiod Crosses and pollinated one of the bottom flowers of the bloody skunk, hopefully seeds will be coming soon :-) Today I started thinking about how much longer they have left and it seems the bloody skunk is nearing the finish Line already. In the beginning of this diary I wanted to achieve the goal of getting some autoflower seeds by taking one of the syrup strains and cross breeding it but none of my syrups strains made it from seed for some reason. So now I'm thinking about taking the top bud off of bloody skunk in the next week or two and letting the rest of the plant go through rodelization so I may still achieve that goal. We shall see. It is flowering so patience is the name of the game

Aug 10: looking good after yesterday’s defoliation. Added malted barley and Power Bloom as top dressing. Aug 11: note that it is a bad idea to take flash pics of photoperiod plants but I do this just before I use the 730 nm far red light. Seemed to be okay doing this last year so I’ll do it a few times this year. Aug 14: watered in morning but Bruce was wilting by late afternoon. Cannabis plants perk up quickly after watering but one should avoid reaching that point. It was hotter than expected today.
