Flipped these ladies 06 Oct 23 (Friday). After watering 09 Oct 23 (Monday) I walked in and the before SOG photos are what it looked like, I put up the new net and tied a few tops down to spread the canopy out. With the new trellis in place I'm going to let theses ladies rip and add another trellis once they outgrow their current one.

How is it growing, my fun(k) loving friends? ***INFO*** For more on my setup, why it was monster cropped, and how I made the canopy, see Germination page and subsequent weeks. They had 48 hrs of darkness, and the time has come to say goodbye to my friends. I thanked them again, spend some time with them, and under the sound of Amazonian shaman's harvest and healing songs (will post link), asked for their gifts, and apologized for taking their lives. I do this while in contact with the plants, touching, smelling them, observing every detail, no thoughts, just in the present moment. I feel emotional as I do this and remember how they were a companion, a source of distraction in a time of worry, sadness, and loss. How they already comforted me and kept me company in a time of painful insights about honesty, commitment, and staying true to myself. I thank them again for their wisdom and gifts, viva Santa Maria, viva Planta Maestra, may the mother of all beings give us healing and protection. And I proceed with the harvest as I visualize my intentions with every cut. Branch by bud laden branch is tenderly untangled from the scrog net, taken with a clean-cut and immediately hung upside down in the grow tent, which will now double as a curing and drying room. A couple more weeks and we will have the final cured and dried weight. More photos and movies will follow, this is where we are so far!! Big hug, lots of love and take care! ***UPDATE*** The final weigh-in is ready. I hadn't seen them in a week, because of my vacation. The humidifier I set up, had failed. So the grow had dried in 7 days, what I wanted to be 14 at least. Thankfully, its Sativa ancestry shines through, the smoke isn't harsh, the buds a sticky and smelly, no hay smell at all. We ended up at 246 grams, excluding a shitload of larf and popcorn bud, totaling at 310 grams all in, a first at a gram per watt for me, but for the Zambeza seed competition, I stated we would only weigh the quality bud. Overall I'm very happy!! Week 15. 50 days of growth, 49 days flowering, stalled in between (growth phase), which was a good thing, it allowed time to go by and 2 plants were gone by the time she was coming into heavy flower and RH was in a much more desired range of 50-55 still high I know but the last 2 weeks I've been able to bring her right down. I know it's a little to late. But it has frosted up. I'm going to try 2 get more trichs for her final week. I've taken most her fan leafs and some sugar leafs, will hopefully send the plant into an overdrive of sorts and will force the plant to defend itself releasing more sugars and movemebt of fluids to stressed parts. Also I took half of lots of sugar leafs and the remaining fan leafs I cut halfs off. Dunno if this will help but I'm trying new things here, well new for my understanding, not new new (Targeted defol to get extra trichs/resin). Put her on a flush, just 3l she was still eating ppm was 150 from 1l of run-off I caught tap water is 78ppm. Topped her up with flawless finish today her 1st 1l 1 9f 2 for this week she'll get water then another flawless finish on day 6 and ill keep her on that and 1 more watering tben imto dsrk windoe 36-48hrs. Will hang dry, hopefully the whole plant. And will give her a l of water before harvest to prolong drying time for a 10-14 day dry at 55-60%rh 19-21c. Thanks for reading. This will possible be the last update if things get frontier as a result of what I did I'll post updates but what I'm gonna do is already planned. So update will only be on if quality has improved by eye. 16/4/22 Targeted defoliation and trimming the sugar leafs, (be sure just to take some leaf, not frosted). It'll send your plant into overdrive and it'll think she's been eaten alive and it'll force her to defend and prop herself up increasing in resin/long trichs. This is all theory btw. As there is no real way to tell if this works, you'd only know by growing this stain many many times and doing 50/50 And you might, might be able to tell if it's had an impact. But it wont hurt, that's if u don't take too much. So, I checked over and over and over her. Ponderd and then paused, smoked a few blunts, many bongs later and an hour goof. After taking a look after her 12hr rest her stigma is so little and she's flushed. Stopped eating more or less. Maybe she could do with another week. But sadly, 102 days is all I can Will be in the 55-57 day window of flowering after rest. So Barneys are solid in flowering time, id say she'd of only been an 12-13 wker like the zkittlez organic, as when there is little trouble or stalls barneys grow windows are usually spot on. They both gotta come out tbh . Zkittlez I'm going to push to the last day I possibly can. I plan to heavily feed this girl with water tonight (TDA), tomorrow and then 1hr again before harvest. This hopefully will prolong the drying time. When chopped all her sugar, fan leafs will be left on. After she dries for 4-5 days I'll trim off all sugar/fan leafs without frost and then after she's fully dry I'll trim to get to the end product and of course I'll be smoking all frosty trim, if there's enough I'll try my hand at bubble hash. We shall see, either way it'll be smoked as it's frosty as crap. This plant has been a true gem to work with Barneys has truly out did themselves. This was my tester, it was a freebie test seed that was dropped and I was just going to plant q zkittlez but ended up putting my hand in my pocket and guess what, there was a TDA seed it. I was sitting down and dropped it, thought fell through the sofa after it popped out of the seal and thankfully she got planted, as she would of been just another zkittlez, I love it and all, but I'm a little tired of smoking the same stuff tbh. It's lovely and all, but a bit of variety and all that good stuff! Happily I'm going to get some nice and frosty TANGERINE DREAM AUTO. Who knows what she'll give. The plant that is in the autopot system is 20 inches tall (grew about 7 inches in a week) and i call it #1, and #2 indoors; #3 is outside. #1 and #3 are identical in physical traits. Beautiful plant overall. This is Day 21 is the last day ill do a;ot of training

Week 12 Day 78 (10/2) I'm really hoping that I will start to see some amber trichomes soon. Most diaries I have seen harvest after week 12, but some have gone even longer. I mean, I'm not in a rush but damn, I would love to get her finished and chopped soon. She'll probably need watered tonight, so I'll check trichomes again while I'm at it. Day 79 (10/3) I get the feeling that we are in the home stretch. I scoped the trichomes last night and I'm starting to see some sporadic amber. I watered her last night with some Mammoth P, but depending on how the ambers progress, she may not get fed again. Idk, we'll see. I'm really tempted to do some defoliating as there are MANY lower buds that are still sporting white pistils. I'm thinking that maybe they just aren't getting the light they need and are trailing behind in maturing? I've been moving branches around and tucking leaves like crazy, but I feel like I'm just going in circles with it because she is so bushy. A few days ago I moved the light down quite a bit, and when I got home last night a lot of the upper leaves had gotten pretty yellow. I figured it was light bleaching so I moved the light up some to about 13" above the tallest cola point. Day 80 (10/4) I finally bit the bullet and defoliated a little bit last night. I focused on just what was blocking the lower buds, especially deep in the middle. I was able to pull some of the outer branches out and maneuver some of the smaller ones that were buried out as well. There is a shocking amount of bud sites hidden all over. I have some trimmers, mini hygrometers, and Boveda packs on the way! Day 81 (10/5) Ugh, I'm really on the fence about how to continue, whether or not to give another feeding or stick with just water. I'm seeing very few amber trichomes, but her leaves are fading fast. She'll be needing water in the next day or two, and would be getting fed. Idk.... Day 82 (10/6) Just waiting.... Day 83 (10/7) Watered her last night. I put 2 Tablespoons of molasses in, some Mammoth P, and some Drip Clean to help get any residual salt out. She is quickly fading and her leaves are yellowing/browning. I scoped her trichomes last night and I think she'll be ready to partially harvest by this weekend! Day 84 (10/8) I'm thinking tomorrow....maybe

Green Crack is wack!! Both ladies got the chop and are drying now. Both packed on considerable size during their last week, hopefully it translates to higher dry weight. Will update in 7-10 days with dry weight and smoke report.
