Bush like an 80s porn star had to give a trimming

Tropical Storm Ian in the vicinity. Thankfully not much rain or wind so far. One midweek feed. Pots will need a while to dry out from all this rain. Hopefully no insect or mould/mildew damage.

This week I noticed the buds got more bigger but also the calcium deficiency has gotten worse and so to battle that I added gypsum to the medium and gave them two waterings with banana peels 🍌in the water ( I read banana peels give off Potassium, Phosphorus, Calcium, and magnesium) hopefully they bounce back and my yield isn’t affected too bad.

23.08.24: I've done considerable defoliation. Also, FBP1 and FBP3 have grown all over the place. The stems are also relatively weaker as they've grown so much. (Photos above). Being as the plants were looking a bit delicate, I added some string and tied the side branches lightly to keep them a bit more compact. Additionally, FBP2 has a considerable amount of buds on the main cola. So I've added a plant stake, and I just tied string around the stake and the main stalk. The humidity has been able to stay under 53%. That's with 3 dehumidifiers. So I'm pretty sure that's about as good as it will probably be. I've had to lower the watering frequency on FBP3, as I overwatered only this plant. and also added too much Nitrogen in. As a result all the leaves are looking droopy. I'm really not sure how this will pan out, as they all still look like they're weeks away from harvest. Anyway, I'll update throughout the week. 25.8.24: I was tending to the garden a majority of the day, and realised that a branch had broken on FBP2. I acted quickly to insert plant stakes, to provide the heavily laden branches additional support. See photos above. The branch was bent or snapped, but still in one piece. I used duct tape to carefully put it back together. Before making a stake for it. Silica, apparently wasn't quite enough to get the FBP2 through the whole way. The flowers are very heavy and dense. I have also given the plants water yesterday with concentrations of the following nutrients, per plant. ● 9ltr of dechlorinated tap water with 6ml of cal-mag, 3ml of Ecothrive Flourish, 6ml of Xpert Nutrients Bloom Booster. I have also added cinnamon top dress after watering, as I have noticed some fungus gnats. I checked the trichomes through one of my loupes yesterday too, and nearly all are still glass like in appearance, with some cloudy here and there. I'm definitely going to have some time left on these girls. I did check the PH if my soil on all plants as I was concerned about nutrient lock out on FBP3. All pots tested out at 7.0 Ph exactly, before and after watering. Thanks for reading my diary 😊

These were all pretty Uniform in height and weight even with #3 being replanted 2 weeks in, lots of Haze smell diesel and pungent on the front end and some sweet at the tail, I should of let these go a few more weeks I think it would be better. I have read and have heard that the flowering time the breeders recommend is based on a 1000w set up. and light plays an important roll in yield as far as flowering goes Its all about time. and maybe next time I will grow these to a more perfect pant. but this round as a grower I give myself a 6 out of 10 got some buds to some and turned the trim and larf to hash, not a huge return and the Trichomes were mainly in the 25 micron range with a minimal amount in the 76 micron bag. so My thinking is that these were all small and under developed trichomes, this leans into my theory that they could have gone another 3 or for weeks, Failure has been my greatest teacher and I really enjoy this hobby. Next grow will be an Organic Dry Amendment Auto Flower with new lights no more Blurple import lights. I got my 1st vaccine shot. hope you all are staying safe and lifted. Watching her get frosty as hell. Besides her great structure, the trichome production this girl has is insane. She would be a great plant to press.

***** Week 4 Veg - December 26/20 to Jan 1/21 ***** The girls were transplanted on Christmas day, after three weeks in the solo cups from seed. They had been growing well in cups but I must admit that I feel the root mass should have been larger after that time period. I am working with a new nutrient line that I have not used before and have not been adding microbes to the feed schedule thus far.........or hardly any. I feel this is why the root system, while looking healthy, is looking too small. Over the next couple weeks will ensure they get lots of microbes in the 1 gal pots to fill those up with roots before moving to 5 gal pots.......the last upsize for this girls. Counting my weeks for finish I am wishing that I had started these girls a couple of weeks sooner so they may not get to veg in the 5 gal pots for a couple of weeks before flipping to flower. For these girls it is still pretty early on in their lives and not many exciting things to happen the first month of seedlings. We have done one upsize and another to go. Keep the feeding in line and follow the week 1 veg feeding for these girls, bringing up the ppm closer to 700ppm range. Overall, happy with first couple of weeks of veg. Need to get more roots going, we will, but otherwise just give them the time to mature and take it easy......they will come along😀 Little more detail....... Dec 26/20, Day 22 Veg - Dry out day after being transplanted yesterday. - Pots were still heavy. - Let the microbes in the media do their thing and start pushing root growth harder than what has been happening. Dec 27/20, Day 23 Veg - Gave the girls a little splash of the left over nutes from two days ago to add a little oxygen and they can take the extra microbes and bacteria right now😀 - 200ml with Microbial Mass and Piranha @ 2ml/L = 650ppm and 5.7pH - They are really happy today!!!! Loving the bigger pot to let those valuable roots expand into nice fluffy new coco and soak up the nutrients👍 Dec 28/20, Day 24 Veg - feeding day today with more water to get some runoff from the 1 gal pots. They have not been watered to runoff yet. - 0.5L each girl with the full line for this week. No other additives, just the IPP line = 700ppm and 5.7pH - seems a little high to jump from around 300ppm to 700 but will follow the companies recommendations👍 Dec 29/20, Day 25 Veg - Dry out day. - they are happy today......not much to add otherwise today Dec 30/20, Day 26 Veg - going to give them another day without watering. - I feel like I should be watering today but I am not as I am not sure how much moisture they will have consumed and the roots need some air to breath so holding off. - think it is a CalMag only feeding tomorrow. Dec 31/20, Day 27 Veg - feed day today since it has been a couple of days. - 500ml with CalMag @ 2ml, Gold Storm @ 7ml, Sea Storm @ 5ml, Blackstorm @ 2ml, Vitamin B @ 0.5ml = 525ppm and 5.7pH - keeping the humic and fluvic acids going in, plus Kelp and CalMag👍 - the girls are happy and seeing forward movement everyday, looking for more aggressive though from the girls. Jan 1/21, Day 28 Veg - doing very well......like really well💪 - didn’t push them today and left them alone for watering, pots of course still had some weight and I didn’t expect them to need today. - Optic Folier Overgrow given today. Folier spray to give them just an extra boost since everything is otherwise dialed in👍 Finishing off the week very strong!!!!!! They have been looking very healthy and perky everyday. The roots are a concern and will be taking it easy on the nutrients for another week yet and keep up the microbes and beneficials. Will get them in line......my hope is too keep their time in the 1 gals down to two weeks max......maybe 10 days?? Looking pretty good ETS as we move through the first upsize. Her stems are stiffening and they are taking varying temps and humidity in the first weeks well. Feeding has been moderate to light and no signs of any issues......again, still pretty early on but its all good so far😎

Buds are packing on weight pretty good for only being at the end of week 3. I think these buds have potential to get some good size to them by the end of flowering period. I noticed a few days ago my timer stopped working, lights were stuck on. Looks like there's no ill effects yet though despite worrying about them revegging if they were left on for too long. Noticed leaf tips are all nute burned so they are at their maximum for ppm as far as nutrient uptake is concerned. Going to back the ppm off by 250 in the next feeds and continue to observe the leaf tips. Plants are still recovering from a nute lockout that caused a mg deficiency and took away a lot of bottom growth from all 4 plants. Ph is back on track and plants are growing rapidly again. Weird growth on the leaves of one of my plants. Looks healthy otherwise. White widow is beginning to pop out for life.

The buds are fattening up this week and some hairs are turning orange on the bigger buds. I’m guessing I’ll have to harvest this one in stages looking at the bud development now. The buds are beginning to smell very strongly. Some large ones are having difficulty standing up so I imagine I’ll have to secure them in the next few days. Trichromes are clear and the sugar leaves are getting frostier and frostier each day. I’m estimating harvest first week of April so I’ll begin flushing next week.

Things went as normal this week. I didn't water or feed the girls since i have been sick lately, all I did was push them back under their net. Sometimes their stems pop/snap but i don't worry anymore, the next day they recover nicely. (its more like an internal pop i hear) The weather isn't as sunny as I would like yet, but i can't do much about that. With all the foliage bug hunting has been reel tough, although I found a baby cutworm witch i quickly eliminated. slow and steady the girls keep climbing I just manage the light space 4 them. I only go in on the weekends 4 their training and that seems to be good enough. The girls in the back are just exploding, compared to the others. I dont know if maybe some good soil back there or just some magic beans. Maybe because they are closest to their nightlight?
