Poor Skunk Apple really is the runt of the litter. I think we can blame my rookie mistake of giving it a gallon of water that was way too strong. It's been struggling to recover ever since. Hopefully this little guy will catch up eventually, but I'm not gonna hold my breath. Well, another year has come and gone. Yesterday was New Year's Eve, and I want to wish all of you a happy and healthy 2025. May this year bring you all the things you've been wishing for. Let's make this the best year yet! I can't believe how much my plants have grown during this stretch! It's like they've been on some serious plant steroids. They've all at least doubled in size, some of them even more. I have a hard time with overwatering, especially now that it's harder to let them dry out. I just don't know if I'm damaging the roots with all this growth.

Week Harvest My journey of Runtz Automatic and her entrance in the Eternity Grow Cup 2025 began on January 7 when she popped her head above the soil. Runtz was an easy carefree plant to grow with no incidents of pests or disease. A few defoliations were all that was necessary to keep her in check. I kept her under a light schedule of 18/6 to maximize her light exposure. After topping her she grew only 24 inches tall. This small plant structure is suitable for growers with limited space. She was harvested on March 20, day 74 from germination. As part of the flushing process, I topped the pot with ice, then watered with ph 6.5-6.7 water for 3 days. Then I put Runtz Auto in the dark for 2 days still in her pot. March 20, she got the chop, Wet weight 314g and is hanging dry in a darkened room. As she dries, candy, sweet, fruity smells escape the room. Temps are 71-72and 43-48% humidity. I am sure she is as tasty as she smells and will not disappoint in effects. My sincere thanks to Patricia @Zamnesia for her support and encouragement throughout this grow. Big thanks and sincere appreciation to Plagron and Zamnesia for hosting this fun and exciting contest. Everyone entering the contest started with the same strain in either a feminized auto or photoperiod seed. Zamnesia generously provided 5 seeds to everyone and Plagron provided the Green Sensation flowering additive. During this contest I enjoyed visiting many contestants’ diaries and seeing beautiful gardens. Many, like me, are limited in space or number of plants they can grow but all are displaying fine specimens. Some Runtz phenotypes are very sativa dominant, with long thin leaf fingers, while others lean more indica. What will be most interesting will be the smoke reports on effects. My theory is that the more sativa leaning in structure, the more active, energetic and euphoric that plant will be and the indica leaning specimens will be more relaxing and uplifting. Going good so far. I am shocked how little water I have had to feed them honestly. My preperation has paid off very well. 6/13/2024 Day 22 Temp: 82 F RH: 70% VPD: 1.17kPa I went ahead and chopped the middle plant. Mycelium is appearing below and that’s rad! I lowered the plant off the crate I had it on and went ahead and raised the light power to 10/10 because my PAR was good. All plants are showing pistils now. Bloom/Flower has begun. Light distance 18 inches now light power 10/10 50kLux 6/14/2024 Day 23 Temp: 87 RH: 65% VPD: 1.48kPa Plant #1 11 inches Plant #3 8 inches Light to plant 12 and 14 inches KLux at 10/10 65 & 45 Water good, mycelium growing all over. By the time I get back on Sunday the water should be gone, the plants will be huge and I’ll have to hurry to move the light lol. Her height has not really increased but she is extremely bushy with tight node spacing which will necessitate plucking some leaves to keep the light penetrating into her canopy. 9/24- We're getting close to wrapping up Week Five of flower in a couple of days and she'll be past the half-way point with the most exciting weeks yet to come! I didn't water yesterday and today I went ahead and Top Dressed her with 2 tbsp/g Dr. Earth Flower Girl 3-9-4, 1 tbsp/g Dr. Earth Gold Premium 4-4-4, 1/2 cup Down To Earth Bio-Fish, 1/3 cup Down To Earth High Phosphorus Bat Guano and 2 cups of Worm Castings. Skunk apple runtz I'm probably only going to keep 1 of these guys seeing the 2nd just has really bad growth so far. I'm sad about this I made this cross out my last grow and was hoping for the better end of things. The other plants is decent but we will see I hope it has the growth pattern of the lit farms Rick bobby and the bud structure of the obama runtz I grew It's looking like a good start to a week the plants are strong they are getting to the point I can let the dried dry out completely. I'm thinking by the end of this week the plants will be starting to be sold. Last week I put all the plants into my bigger 2x4 tent with my medicgrow mini sun 2 the 500w version. Only a few of the plants were ready for that light. Seems like the only plants that really have good resistance and have a strong start are the weedseedsexpress.com seeds. Shout out to weedseedsexpress.com for the strong plants. I ended up putting all the plants back into my 2x2 tent with the 55w amazon light it has alot more blue light in its spectrum. It's kinda weird b4 I switched the plants to the 2x4 tent they were getting 220umol under my amazon 55w led then when I put them under the 500w light 25% strength about 50in from plants and they were getting only about 195umol in that tent but it was stressing most the plants. I assume a larger light has more side lighting hitting the plants. I think when useing larger lights it's good to measure umols from the top but also coming from the sides. I think durring seedling stage they only need about 50% the umols coming from the side the plants as the top is receiving. When I put the plants back in the small tent about the same umols as they were getting b4 the switch and they were still a little stressed. So for a few days I put the small light at the top the tent giving them 100umols for a few hrs then 130umols the rest the day.

Day 43 The flush started on Day 40, and I’ll likely carry it through until Day 50–52, aligning with the expected harvest window for Kong’s Krush. The 7 Kong’s Krush girls are right on track – trichomes are clouding up nicely, and they’re clearly approaching harvest maturity. On the other hand, my 24K Runtz is still lagging behind. Trichomes show it’s not fully ready yet, but since I need everything to dry together and reset the bloom space, I’ll harvest both strains on the same day. Lesson learned: mixing strains with different flowering timelines in the same run can complicate the schedule. Smells are intense now – the Kong’s Krush carries a sweet banana-cinnamon vibe, while the 24K Runtz is pushing a strong, sharp orange scent. The room is really fragrant these days!

8/9 shes flowering💚 pistils everywhere. Been feeding with open sesame from fox farms and everythings looking awesome. I am concerned about how lanky she is. Her node spacing is tight but shes long and the branches are already drooping from the weight from pistils and new leaves lol fml im gonna have to get stakes/supports soon 8/10 shes loving the weather or the nutes, shes praying so fucking hard its beautiful

My apologies have been away for a bit but the pics are from the last 2 1/2 weeks! Other plant that was the same age turned out to be a male which its unfortunate because it was an accidental cross lol anyway she’s been growing vigourously ever since I made the switch..3 weeks almost complete and she’s a beast! July 4th - safely into week 7. Solid growth and development to this point. Lets see how she stands up now that the pattern is laid-out - last fed on the 30th; 1gal - next meal is from the Water part of the food cycle; nute - nute - water - amended the soil with 2” Worm Castings, scratched it in to the soils surface - pulled a set of leaves off of each branch, exposing the middle nodes. New growth on each branch. Here we go! July 5th - rain has fallen, and the plant was partially protected. Wait and see if it has affected tonights Dinner. We are in the water portion of the Meal cycle; Nute-Nute-Water. Posted above - compost is ready after months. Leaf / Soil mix added to the pot at dark. July 7 - fed 1 gal of a Grow Microbe, Enzyme and Molasses-based dinner. Chunky dinner had to be diluted… lol grow buddy grow - someone asked about the LST techniques I use: wire, branch bending etc. Inposted 2 quik videos on how the Cali Crasher had acquired and held those curves 9th - I saw an opportunity to make one more similar move on the plant, with the same style of LST training. Day 63 - 28 of Flower Changes this week include adding a 4th Maxibright 315w lamp and Agro bulb. I wanted to run 4 but originally could only afford to buy 3. These retail at £250 each per kit so theres now £1000 just in lighting. A huge improvement to overall light spread around the plants and more light penetrating the canopy to the lower bud sights. I've also spent the weekend insulating my space for 2 reasons. Obviously temperature fluctuations being one. I found the temps were anywhere between 17 and 31 degrees throughout a 24 hour cycle and wanted to get a more consistent day and night temperature. With the extra light it needs to be cooler too. 2nd reason was humidity. With the great British weather being as damp as it is the night time humidity has been over 75% some days which now we are deep into flower could quickly lead to bud rot. Insulating the space and running my exterior AC unit has now got that figure to below 56% at all times. I'm very happy with that. Feeding ratio remains unchanged this week. I'm going to continue running the PK13/14 for at least another 7 days or untill the buds finish fattening out. Still feeding 6 litres every other day. No further training at this point just pulling a few colas out of the way of the fan and one main cola from directly under a lamp as it was burning. Also stretch has now finished which is a massive relief as I've no headspace left in the tent at all. I didn't have time to take many photos of the buds in the dark but the ones I have put on show just how frosty these stardawgs get! Really living up to their name considering they are only half way through predicted flower time. The only further upgrade I would like at this point is a proper co2 with digital regulator. I have however read that they dont benefit much from extra co2 from this point onwards?? What is everyone's thoughts on that? Obviously I have my natural co2 generator and will leave it in untill the end of the grow. I realise I really underestimated the size of these plants and 6 sativa dominant species is a stupid idea.
