Mars Hydro light performs well, girls sorted all step backs and now my friend has a week to do DIY scrog. Day 32. Strawberry Ice is huge ! All branches reach to top and proper bush is forming. Candy Kush is behind, but catching up, she was toped today. All stems got light supercroping, new shoots exposed to light, leaves tucked. Next weekend scrog should be installed i think and flower should begin too. Day 33. Having quite a bit of trouble with fading leaves, burning and just can't figure out what is going on. I've top dressed on Saturday to try give her a boost, it looks like potassium deficiency but it also looks a touch like toxicity too... very confusing.... so what I'm going to do is just give water until the end now. 4 weeks ish should be ok and I reckon I can limp her home if shit hits the fan. Hoping its just deficiency and the top dress will fix it. I've not overfed with amendments so I don't understand it really. The buds are still growing no problem and calyx are starting to swell in places... all a bit weird.

I almost stripped them naked kinda but I need to get more light to the lower bud sites otherwise they are pretty much popcorn. The Green Gelato is happily starting to produce flowers while the Lemon Cherrys are taking their time to stretch one of them is almost 130cm tall and that was the 1 that was the most behind in the early weeks ahhahaha. Week 9 (Week 1 of flowering) has been a jaw-dropping experience in my Tropical Tangie Ninja Run. Our girl is absolutely killing it! Her luscious green foliage is a sight to behold, and my Lego Ninja buddies are always on point, making sure everything is in order. The excitement escalated as I spotted those little preflowers showing up towards the end of the week. I have a strong hunch that she's going to turn into a flowering monster during the first two weeks! <3 <3 <3 To support this explosive flowering growth, I made some savvy moves in my nutrient game. I decided to switch from my root booster to the fruit booster. Why, you ask? Well, my Tangie is transitioning her focus from root development to bud production. So, it's like shifting gears to give her exactly what she needs to create those magnificent flowers! But that's not all. I also added some P-booster to my nutrient mix. You might wonder why? It's because this little ninja booster is packed with phosphorus, the secret ingredient that stimulates robust flower formation. We want those buds to be big, dense, and super potent! <3 <3 With a canopy as lush as this, I'm already contemplating a potential defoliation around day 21 of flowering. It's like planning my ninja strategy in advance! But let's keep that for the next update hehe. As for her TDS numbers, they might not seem massive at 230, but remember, I'm using those amazing Aptus All-in-One Pellets mixed with the soil. Her main NPK is already packed in there, and these boosters are just giving her that extra ninja kick! With room temperatures at 28.9°C and a humidity level of 62%, the conditions are perfect for our Tangie to thrive. I can't contain my excitement for this epic ninja run! Day 36- LST adjustments. Each lady received almost a full gallon of water each. I also dosed each gallon with 4ml cal mag plus. I guess I would consider this week 1 of flowering. Next watering I'll introduce bloom nutrients. They getting hairy! I feel like I'm also seeing some improvement in each plant after Foliar Spray, so I'm hoping after this watering they'll perk up and not have more sick leaves to look at. Day 37- I did a few LST adjustments on the smaller plants. "Blue Marker" is getting pretty stiff so I'm afraid to tie her down and have only been tucking leaves. Probably just going to try to keep her spread out as much as I can do. No more LST for her. Day 38- They've been drinking alot of water and are thirsty! Now normally I water once a week, but they may need it before their next water time. Lowered the lights to 18" above canopy. Will see if I get any canoes or not when I get back home tomorrow evening. It smells good when I open the tent as well 👌. Only uphill from here on! Day 39- Ladies didn't show any light stress to me lowering them down to 18". Blue Marker looks like she needs to be watered. The other two are still heavy. Probably be watering blue marker tomorrow evening and starting bloom nutrients. Day 40- Watered Blue Marker today with 4ml/gal CalMag+ and 2tsp/gallon of Old Age Bloom. Will be watering Yellow Marker tomorrow with the same ratio. The runt still probably has a few more days until she's ready for a drink. Day 41- Watered Yellow Marker with 4ml/gal CalMag+ and 2tsp/gal of Old Age Bloom. Will be watering the runt tomorrow. Went ahead and snapped a lower bud site on the runt. Didn't look promising enough to warrant keeping it. As you can see in the picture, most of the leaves were shriveled up on it anyways. I also tucked fan leaves on all plants and measured Blue Marker (17.5in) tall and Yellow Marker is about 1ft tall. Day 42- Watered "Runt" with 4ml/gal CalMag+ and 2 tsp/gal of Old Age Bloom. All plants new growth looks better and doesn't look like it's traveling up plant. More and more bud sites are popping up. Yellow Marker looks farther along than Blue Marker. End of week 6!

Fed once this week with a weak feed including top max. I use kombucha vinegar as pH down. Water from my tap is ph6.8-7.0 and 38-42ppm so I might start using calmag supliment as the ppm at my old house used to come out of the tap at ph7. 2 and 200-220ppm. I had 2 plants that didn't like the light at 30000 lux and started bleaching so I took them out. I've defoliated today day 35 as humidity was getting over 80% and also to let light to the lower bud sights. Pre flower pistils showed on some plants around day 33 (some still have none) so I'll consider this the end of veg start of flower. The kalimist indica pheno is still not showing pre flower pistils but is always hard to force flowering when it's not mature for some reason. It's always 7-14 days behind everything else 🤔

Okay so greedy finally decided to show me she’s a girl - I’m beyond chuffed ngl. She’s ready for the flip soon but I still have two others playing catch up so she’s gonna be stuck vegging for another couple weeks. I feel pretty lucky I don’t know wether these are just super bag seeds but I’ve had no issues with them considering they’re in my closet and I’ve been pretty much just doing everything by eye without the proper equipment. Happy days✌️

Week 5 flower going well. Nothing much to report. Increased the drip as she is taking in more water. Turned up the fans to 100% for maximum flow, and due to that, the tent got a bit warmer and a bit dryer so the exhaust fan and humidifier are working a bit harder. 75-77 deg F, 50-60% RH. Not sure if the lights are to intense or if it’s purple coming through, but at the highest tops there seems to be a bit of discolouration on the newest growth, just at the tips of the new buds. But I’m looking really close and it may be purple, not brown. I’ll keep an eye on it and turn the lights down if symptoms worsen. This plant is growing strong and getting chunky. Hopefully she keeps growing well until the end. Thanks for the views…keep calm and grow on!

Growing strong on beginning of week 5. Buds are turning more purple each day. Smell is weak but I’m sure it will pick up soon. Growing taller each day.started some LST this week. It was growing to straight up is why I started LST training. Starting to put off a pleasant smell.

There's soooooo much and it smells great. I had a 3x3 for drying but resorted to just drying in the grow tent since I'm not sure if it would have all fit. I will not be using a SCROG especially with Autopots and this light as it leaves no room for me to get in and train. Will post final results in ~10 days or so. See you on the next one

She's very close, great smell. Fade is coming in hard, getting lots of purple in the top 3 colas.

Week Harvest My journey of Runtz Automatic and her entrance in the Eternity Grow Cup 2025 began on January 7 when she popped her head above the soil. Runtz was an easy carefree plant to grow with no incidents of pests or disease. A few defoliations were all that was necessary to keep her in check. I kept her under a light schedule of 18/6 to maximize her light exposure. After topping her she grew only 24 inches tall. This small plant structure is suitable for growers with limited space. She was harvested on March 20, day 74 from germination. As part of the flushing process, I topped the pot with ice, then watered with ph 6.5-6.7 water for 3 days. Then I put Runtz Auto in the dark for 2 days still in her pot. March 20, she got the chop, Wet weight 314g and is hanging dry in a darkened room. As she dries, candy, sweet, fruity smells escape the room. Temps are 71-72and 43-48% humidity. I am sure she is as tasty as she smells and will not disappoint in effects. My sincere thanks to Patricia @Zamnesia for her support and encouragement throughout this grow. Big thanks and sincere appreciation to Plagron and Zamnesia for hosting this fun and exciting contest. Everyone entering the contest started with the same strain in either a feminized auto or photoperiod seed. Zamnesia generously provided 5 seeds to everyone and Plagron provided the Green Sensation flowering additive. During this contest I enjoyed visiting many contestants’ diaries and seeing beautiful gardens. Many, like me, are limited in space or number of plants they can grow but all are displaying fine specimens. Some Runtz phenotypes are very sativa dominant, with long thin leaf fingers, while others lean more indica. What will be most interesting will be the smoke reports on effects. My theory is that the more sativa leaning in structure, the more active, energetic and euphoric that plant will be and the indica leaning specimens will be more relaxing and uplifting.
