She’s had a big growth spurt. She’s now twice as big as she was a week ago. However, I get the feeling she’s not quite living up to expectations. The first pistils are starting to show.

A plant with both standard cellular respiration (occurring throughout the plant, including leaves and stems) and adequate root respiration will have a significantly higher ATP throughput than one restricted to only general cellular respiration in a limited way. Cellular respiration is the fundamental metabolic process that occurs in all living plant cells (roots, stems, leaves, flowers, seeds) to convert glucose into usable energy (ATP). It requires oxygen and produces carbon dioxide and water as byproducts. Root respiration is not a separate type of respiration, but rather a specific instance of cellular respiration occurring in the roots. Roots absorb oxygen from the air spaces in the soil to fuel their energy needs. Biochar generally offers a much higher CEC than coco coir, though specific values vary greatly; while coco coir might sit around 40-60 cmol/kg, biochar can range from tens to over 200 cmol/kg, with sources like Acacia wood biochar or even coconut shell biochar often surpassing coco's capacity due to its porous structure, creating significantly more cation-binding sites for nutrients, making it superior for nutrient retention. Needs to be charged similar to coco but at a much higger rate. But shhhh.. It's a secret. Ancient biochar-rich soils in the Amazon basin (known as Terra Preta) provide evidence of carbon stability lasting over 500 to 2,000+ years. Recommend a balanced ratio of key cations, particularly calcium (Ca), magnesium (Mg), and potassium (K). A widely accepted general "ideal soil" cation saturation ratio is approximately 65-85% Ca, 6-12% Mg, and 2-5% K. That's roughly what I give mine. Can even add N in its NH4+ form

🏆 Eternity Grow Cup 2025: Plagron and Zamnesia 🏆 Strain: Runtz - Zamnesia Seeds Our girl is doing great! It's day 43 since sprouting, and 13 days since we switched the light to 12/12. She's grown significantly, with many branches stretching upwards. Given how many there were, I decided to trim her and removed about 10 thick and thin branches. I’m not sure how this will affect her, but I'm hoping to get fewer colas, though thicker and denser ones. We don’t waste anything from the pruning. The leaves that we cut off are frozen, then crushed in a blender. We mix the resulting mass with water, let it sit, and then water the plant with this solution. Additionally, we finely chop the leaves and mix them into the top layer of the soil, a practice called mulching. This way, we recycle everything and make full use of the plant material.

So far these girls are beginning their push towards early stages of flowering! Each node is slowly developing pistils, new growth & reaching for the light! They've widened quite a bit seeing as both plants are slowly making their way outside the edge of their 6.6 gallon autopots. I'm noticing the increase in water consumption with no signs of new deficiencies at the 1.7EC 5.8ph. I will be increasing the the EC to 2.0 after flowering begins to progress.

11/12 start of week 3 of flower hoping she is done stretching cus I'm out of room when it comes to height. Gave all the goodies plus added Fulpower and molasses 11/15 stretching seems to have stopped. Dropped humidity and raised vpd to stay around 1.5 and raised light intensity so it's 1000 ppfd at top of plant super cropped the main top to match the height of the side branches. 11/16 watered her with some wdg3000 and saps.
