Hello everyone! Welcome to my Tent-X Ultimate Grow Challenge diary. 💪 I'm germinating 2 seeds from every of the selected cultivars on paper towels: 👉 Strawberry Cough (Dutch Passion) 👉 Mimozz (Perfect Tree) 👉 Slurricane (Advanced Seeds) 👉 Cherry Atomic Sledgehammer (Welcome To The GrowTent) Did not have much success this time - germination rate was just over 60% - my worst in years. But still - I'll get enough plants for my tent - I always try to sprout 200% of what I really need, for ocasions like this one. 😎 After they germinated I moved sprouts to easy plugs - which is wher they normally start they life (I usually ommit paper towel step and go straight into plugs). First time in years I'm really having problems with germination. The one Slurricane that did germinate seems to have broken growth cone or something - it is no growing at all. Mimozz seems like it wants to die so it probably will... I did drop one more seed just to be sure I have at least 4 plants: 👉 Grandpa's Cookies #6 S1 (ETHOS Genetics) More updates coming soon 👋 Thank you, come again! 😅

Nach 68 Tagen Blüte ist der Tag der Ernte gekommen. Glücklicherweise habe ich kein Problem mit Schimmel, Krankheiten oder Ungeziefer gehabt. Beide Pflanzen riechen gut und sind sehr harzig, wobei die Pflanze 2 stellenweise sogar extrem harzig ist. Mit dem Ergebnis bin ich für meinen ersten Grow mehr als zufrieden. Wenn das Trocknen genauso gut verläuft ist alles in bester Ordnung.

Hello all and thank you for stopping by. Not much drama this week as things have settled down and we're finally seeing big growth. Day 16 - Really nothing happened here. I did water with my remaining BS Molassis/Epsom salt solution. PH corrected up to 6.5 Day 17 - Here is my only real drama. If you see in the corresponding picture I have shriveled and yellowed tines on my 3 bladed leaves. This is because I left my light to close for too long. Because I wasn't paying attention to the distance between the light and canopy (Only monitoring the height of the plant) for about 3 days the canopy was getting closer till this day when I realized. I raised the light to 20" about canopy and remaining at 60%. Good news is my exhaust fan controller switch and ducting came in. I set it up and love how much more stable my Temps and RH have become. Day 18 - Today I started bottom watering and what a difference I'm noticing. She just sucked up the water and the growth moving forward was satisfying. Day 19 - Just monitored the environment on this day. However the damage to the leaves is done but the colour came back so Ying yang ☯️ Day 20 - again nothing but monitor the environment. I started rotating the pots 1/4 turn per day Day 21 - Bottom watered today and she took almost 500ml. Sprayed top down As well to moisten top. Added sticky traps for pest control. Also adjusted light up an inch to please the canopy. Day 22 - Today I rotated the pot 1/4 turn, misted the top of coco and monitored environment. She has about 3 nodes now although tightly packed. Breeder did say she was a short bushy girl. Overall the plant is coming along nicely and I'm happy with her growth. The stunting could have been my over watering in seedling or maybe it wasn't that bad, looking back that is. Logging has helped me so much as I often feel I'm not doing enough, then look in my logs and see, no you did that shit yesterday. Thank you to everyone who said to keep notes. Some significant yellowing a day apart from feeding. Did I give it a nutrition burn by changing the ratios of nutes? I probably should’ve done a flush before feeding.

Fun little week for these ones, was making some more LAB serum and one of my containers was contaminated with a fruit fly and it laid a fuck ton of eggs that turned into maggots. the one container that was still safe is getting made into a cheese and the left overs in that where mixed with the water for this week. Giving it a lovely boost of lactic acid and bacteria. Plants look to be hungry, hard to focus on them outdoors vs indoors and hit the correct PH range plus monitor the runoff for accurate feeding. o well.

Quite good result considering that she only got around 6h of sunlight, the buds didn't grew too big but they have a lot of THC, this is perfect for people who live in the city and just want to grow some small plants on the balcony without getting too much attention, the smell was really sweet and she offers a good resistance against bugs, and i didn't even applied any insecticide. We are going to use this plant to do a fresh frozen extraction 😁

Plants seem to be stunted and placed baggies over them to give them better humidity.

23.2.25: I watered with approximately 1.5 ltrs per plant. I mix 6.5ltrs of dechlorinated water PH'd to 6.4. This time, I only added Ecothrive Biosys to the water because I have just top dressed the soil. Adding anything extra right now would probably be overkill and result in toxicity from too many available nutrients. I defoliated minimally mostly Do-sì-dos, Watermelon, and Pink Mist. Due to the scrog net, it's about all I can reach 😅 I've moved the plants to increase space for Gorilla Cookies 🍪 and Bubble

Cellular respiration is the fundamental metabolic process that occurs in all living plant cells (roots, stems, leaves, flowers, seeds) to convert glucose into usable energy (ATP). It requires oxygen and produces carbon dioxide and water as byproducts. Root respiration is not a separate type of respiration, but rather a specific instance of cellular respiration occurring in the roots. A soil without organic matter will generally have a low Cation Exchange Capacity (CEC). Biochar is often prized for its potential to increase soil cation exchange capacity (CEC), but this effect is highly dependent on the specific properties of the biochar (feedstock and pyrolysis temperature) and the soil type to which it is applied. High-ash biochars, especially those produced at lower temperatures and applied to acidic or sandy soils, can significantly boost CEC by providing abundant binding sites for cations like calcium (Ca²⁺), magnesium (Mg²⁺), and potassium (K⁺). Biochar is more sustainable than typical organic matter for long-term soil improvement primarily due to its high stability and resistance to microbial decomposition, allowing it to persist in the soil for hundreds to thousands of years. This longevity provides a lasting positive effect on soil properties, particularly by increasing the cation exchange capacity (CEC) over time, while regular organic matter breaks down much faster. Biochar generally offers a much higher CEC than coco coir, though specific values vary greatly; while coco coir might sit around 40-60 cmol/kg, biochar can range from tens to over 200 cmol/kg, with sources like Acacia wood biochar or even coconut shell biochar often surpassing coco's capacity due to its porous structure, creating significantly more cation-binding sites for nutrients, making it superior for nutrient retention. Needs to be charged similar to coco but at a much higger rate. But shhhh.. it's a secret. Recommend a balanced ratio of key cations, particularly calcium (Ca), magnesium (Mg), and potassium (K). A widely accepted general "ideal soil" cation saturation ratio is approximately 65-85% Ca, 6-12% Mg, and 2-5% K. That's roughly what mine gets.

When I first heard about this variety, I immediately wanted to grow it! and now that moment has come!!!!!!!!!!!! It will be great grow!

Smells Strongly like Mintz with a dark hint of peppers

- Only watered one time this week, 4L of just plain pH'd water. I rotate water with nutrients, and plain water - Broke a branch, shirt fell on it. Just taped back up, branch still alive 👍 - Worried my buds aren't fattening up. Hoping she plumps up the next couple weeks. - Almost seems like not much growth from last week - Plant seems healthy and happy - Pistils starting to turn dark orangey
