First week of flowering on a 12/12 cycle with explosive growth. Defoliated lower 7-14 inches of plants and nipped future larf buds. Top dressed with 2tsp of kelp meal this week. Next week will be worm castings (top dressed) and the following week with bloom nutrients. Gave it a good soaking with calmagged water and Mammoth microbials. California Light work's Solar Extreme 250 around 10" above the canopy. All is well! 💚

Potted up four gorilla girl xl in to 5 gal pots, using plagron light mix.🇬🇧 moistened the The soil gently in advance with 1l regular tap water and 4ml root juice. Using gloves pushed the seed just under the soil. dusted over With a bit more soil, added A tiny bit more water gently as possible and finally covered with humidity domes *Day 2, all four seeds germinated over night, chuffed! removed Humidity domes *Day 3, Two of the Four seeds are expressing yellowing, one just Having 1 yellow leaf. I’m guessing this was down to the seed case partially being stuck. and or bad ph. Ph up and down on route. *Day 4, mixed up a litre of cal-mag buffed Tap water, left out to dechlorinate/come to room temp and watered accordingly. Plant’s #1 and #2 progress. Smells like Blueberry...so fruity

This week I had to Lollipop again (I know is very late and I hope I didn’t stressed the plant to much). My canopy is so tick and so many overlapping leaves and buds in the center of the plant that don’t receive enough light or any at all , n combination with the RH swings that I got going on (45 and 63 RH), I’m very afraid of mold. I should have did a better job at Lollipoping from day 21. I’m inexperienced grower and I didn’t knew better. I decided is better to risk to shock the plant a little bit risking a reduction in yield then get mold or pests and lose it all. My 30 pin dehumidifier works great with the AC but sometimes when the AC( compressor) stops my RH jump at 62% -63%, witch I don’t like . I’m trying to keep the humidity around 50% but in such a small room between the AC and Dehumidifier I got big swings in temp ( 75-82) and RH ( 45%-63%) witch is not ideal but is nothing that I can do. I played with the AC and Dehumidifier setting a lot trying to keep humidity around 50% and temp around 80 degrees and that’s the best I can. My AC is set at 82 degrees and my Dehumidifier is set at 45% RH. Also during the lights off (day time) is very hard to keep the temperature In control when outside is 110-115 degrees with my portable AC (1400BTU) in the 4x 6 closet. Is crazy but I do my best to keep temp under control. This is another rocky mistake I made is trying growing weed DWC in the middle of summer where temps are 105-115 degrees constant in a closet without centralized AC port and at second level in the building. LOL Also I think I underfed her (630 PPM TDS, PH 5.8-5.9) ) and I got a Ca deficiency witch I think is the reason my flowers developed slower then I anticipated. Hopefully I’m wrong and everything will be good. P.S. I got a little bit of calcium deficiency caused by salt buildup (to much PK boost) despite my earlier belief that is underfed. I increased the PPM from week 4 (630-640TDS) to 680 TDS) on week 5 while I kept the PK booster at 3+ml l per gallon. Slightly my PPM’s was rising in my reservoir for few days until I decided that my plant can’t take that much nutrients (PK). 2-3 days after I increased the TDS I’ve noticed more spots on the lower leaves with tip burns on top ( first signs of PK toxicity). One day later found spots and yellowing of the leaves on top of the plant that indicates Ca deficiency caused by salt buildup ( PK toxicity) and reversed osmosis (hope I’m not wrong). Going into week 6 I lowered the PK boost at 1.5ml / gallon and total TDS to 640 PPM. Seems like leaves damage to stop and my PPM to stay stabile at 630-640. Trying to keep PH at 5.8 max 5.9. I will post pictures of my Ca deficiency/ PK toxicity. If you guys have any suggestions please leave me a comment.

This is the last week!!! She’s coming doing in 2 days

I wanted to try a grow by the breeders earlier recommendation, and with this being an 8 week sativa, I HAD to try it. The effects at week 8 are HEAVY! The only downside is that the high only lasts for about an hour to an hour and a half, and then starts winding down for about an hour before being level again, and I don’t blame the strain, I blame myself for not waiting longer, but I wanted to see how the plant would be affected. The terps on both are consistent, and similar to the 3rd I’m currently growing in a different cycle. The genetics seem super stable and I will definitely keep a stock of clones and seeds for ZDF. Only down side is the hunger this girl has over the other plants, she EATS during flower.

Después de dejar las plantas 1semana más de lo previsto ya estaban perfectas para cortar, una vez cortadas las manicure todas bien, me gusta manicurarlas cuando están acabadas de cortar porque tienen las hojas duras y me resulta más simple y me gusta más el resultado final. Después las tuve secando 2 semanas a 50% humedad. En el curado las pongo en botes de cristal herméticos y con bolsas de curado (Bóveda) que hacen que se mantengan la humedad perfecta sin necesidad de abrir los botes, después de 5 meses de curado ya no pude aguantar más y empecé con esta variedad, el olor cambio totalmente y tiene un sabor complejo a madera con tonos dulces y sabrosos,el humo es bien denso y blanco. Los cogollos están como piedras y con muy poca cantidad se estira muchísimo, en cuanto al efecto de primeras es energizante y dan ganas de hablar pero al poco rato se convierte en un fuerte efecto corporal que te deja en el sofá sin hacer nada aparte de dormir😵.

Alright I've updated this postmortem and cure just to give an idea of what I was up to during the dry and cure weeks. This grow was a ton of work and I'm very please with the results. I learned a ton about soil and environment control and really feel like I'm gaining confidence and coming into my own as a cultivator. I've been playing a lot with ice water hash and rosin and have set some neat goals for the future like hunting ice water hash cultivars, going perpetual and expanding the amount of canopy I can work with by building a network of remote-operated satellite flower tents in friends' and family's abodes . D-37 : Everyone looks good. I've made the last topping for those girls. There still some lST to do during the next week so the mains can grow the right way. Then, on the following week, I'll turn everybody to flowering mode and switch the light 75% then 100%. I noticed that they are drinkning a bit more now. D-43 : Everything still ok ! The LST is almost over, and I think I'll turn to flowering mode winthin 10 days max.

This was a beautiful strain to grow. With her flowers getting big towards the end of harvest as well as the purple colours! I would definitely recommend that you try grow this strain. The buds are super dense and very well formed. An absolute treat to smoke and look at.

So week 9, devils #1 and #2 are scheduled to be harvested on Wednesday 5/9, last flush was 5/4/2019. The purple fade is quite a spectacle, Devil #2 is definitely a green pheno and absolutely refuses to turn purple but smells and looks fantastic. I’m hoping to beat the 44g per average at 400g/m2. Devil #1 looks to be heaviest of all the girls hoping to break 2oz with that one. Still paying close attention to #3 her foxtailing is kinda of a bummer but looking at other diaries it looks to be a trait found in some devils. Devil # 4 is still chugging along throwing tons of new pistils and still a couple of weeks away. She just got her 2nd to last feed (75% nutes) most likely but time will tell. For my trim mostly thinking I’ll do a dry trim to try an protect the buds as much as possible 5-10 days hang dry and into the mason jars for a long slow cure hopefully. I still update with devil #3 and #4 until they get the chop. Photos updated every 2 days or so most likely a video of the girls coming down on 3/9-3/10, stay tuned! Devils #1 and 2 had all their fan leaves removed today may wait a few days to give the lowers time to fatten but both will be harvested by Friday.
