I started the GSC seeds from HSC by soaking in a glass of water overnight then planted in coco coir under a humidity dome in my veg tent. I will plant them in flower box in a couple weeks when they can handle the feed that my BB clone is on right now. On day 5 my 2 other Gsc seeds rotted perhaps too wet but I have one good remaining for this run. I started White widow seeds and will run 2 phenos. Gsc is looking good so far.

July 11: Finally this week getting some heat with 25-30 deg C daytime highs. Plants are thriving with a lot of vertical growth and flowers starting to build. Resin is developing nicely. CBD Crack is a smaller plant comparatively, but the resin smells spectacular.

Started a little training, cut down the older fan leaves and topped up. I’m adding a tiny bit of root stimulator cause changed the pot size last week so it will to promote a faster growth. Gotta keep this lady low cause the box is quite small. So excited 😆

Week 10 - Fifth Week of Flower The Donutz tent is stepping into its fifth week of flower with some exciting developments and a few surprises. The plants are thriving, and the vibes remain immaculate as the grow progresses. Key Updates: Purple Phenos: 3-4 of the plants are starting to show stunning purple hues in their buds and sugar leaves. The color shift adds a beautiful contrast to the tent and hints at the unique expressions within the Donutz genetics. Different Phenotypes: While most of the plants are stacking up nicely, 1-2 phenos are a bit on the thinner side with less bud density. It’s a reminder of the natural variability in genetics, but there’s still time for them to fill out in the coming weeks. Environment & Care: Stable Conditions: Temperature, watering (reverse osmosis), and overall care are dialed in perfectly. The plants are enjoying a consistent, stress-free environment with plenty of love. Healthy Growth: The rest of the tent is looking strong, with vibrant buds and trichome development continuing to ramp up. Observations: The purple phenos are a standout feature this week, bringing extra visual appeal to the tent. Even the thinner phenos are showing healthy structure and potential to develop further before harvest. Trichome production is increasing, and the tent is starting to radiate that sweet, sticky aroma. Next Steps: Continue monitoring the thinner phenos to ensure they’re getting enough light and nutrients. Maintain stable environmental conditions and nutrient levels to support bud development. Keep a close eye on trichomes as they mature, watching for any signs of ripening as the grow approaches the final stretch. 👉this is week start of week 8 and the switch to the 12/12 schedule. the plant is on the 6th week on the GH nutrient chart for its flora series drain to waste schedule.This is considered early bloom and the only difference from the transition nutrients is the reduction of FloraGrow and addition of Liquid KoolBloom. The water I use is RO water from a medical grade industrial machine (not on site). Its conductivity is .04ms. Its 98.5% pure water. I believe this is helping me mix my nutrients at full strength and achieve the middle to upper end of the recommended ec range. The volume of plant uptake has increased quite alot. I am averaging 2 liters two times a day, but as the week progressed a couple of high flow fertigations were needed to keep the run off below +30ms. I feed my Marigold plant the run-off after Ive measured it. The fertigation station is in a closet in another room and doorways wipe my memory so I fed 99 the runoff a couple days ago (9-16). So I fertigated 1.5 liter immediately. That runoff was close to 30+. The lights were going out so the next morning i fertigated with 4liters. That runoff was +10. That night was 2liters w/.9 liter runoff +10. I plant on keeping the flow a little high to help prevent any nutrient deficiencies while its doing the early flowering stretch. 👉The plant is lush and green and growing as a nice round bush. Stout main stalk and is 21". I began plucking lower leaves that were reducing airflow around the base. These could pose a mildew risk if left on because they are in contact with the pot and reducing airflow across the top of the media. They were shaded now by the expanding branches above so it was time to remove them. I like to take leaves gradually, one or two per fertigation event. I also have taken off the bottom 3 branches. They were healthy and had plenty of potential bud sites...but they would be in the shade and never meet the potential of the upper buds. I may take two more low branches, but I will keep them if they keep stretching outward and upwards and stay in the direct light. When they start flowering full time I will have removed as many of the potential larf bud nodes on the interior of each branch. Nothing extreme, just the basic lollipop on the bottom and reducing larf production up top. 👉I am using a cordless work light to make the pictures better. My phone camera flash isnt bright enough to over come the LED blurple and the addition of the very bright work light makes the picture way better. As you can see I will still be taking some of the pix with the LEDs on, but also use the camera flash and the work light and that helps bring out the green better. But lights out show a more detailed realistic image and I will include more pix this way. 👉Switching to 12/12 has been a challenge. I work varied hours and making it home before lights out is hit and miss. Also being a stoner I forget stuff if I get distracted by a movie, a sporting event or a shiny object, so visits to the tent during dark times will happen. I have green lights installed in the room and in the hallway. I have a good headlamp with green LEDs. I missed the first day and had to fertigate after hours...sigh. I took pictures with the green light on but no flash.

Why use cotton pads? You should use cotton pads because it is one of the fastest way to germinate seeds, it is also one of the more reliable way. This is a NOOB-FRIENDLY tenchnique, you have to respect some little and easy steps: -take one cotton pad, spray it 5 times with water; -dispose seeds in the sprayed cotton pad, remember to leave minimum 1cm of space between seeds, -take a new cotton pad, spray it 3 times with water, face it down and put it on the seeds of the first cotton pad; -now, spray the dry side 3 times. -put this/these "sandwich/es" in a sealed container of a sufficient size to store them, I use like a plastic tupperware (glass or plastic are equal) with about this size: 15x30.It contains about 8 "sandwitches". -store the container in a dark place with a temperature from 17°C and more. We’re in the second week of flowering, and the plants are really starting to stretch! 🌿 They’ve gained good height, especially the one without LST, which has grown tall very quickly. It’s been exciting to watch them reach upward as they prepare for the bud development phase. Everything is looking good overall, and I’m happy with the progress so far. I’m really looking forward to seeing how the buds will start forming in the next few weeks! 😁✨

Mix packs and Gorilla Z were fed Dr. Earth w/worm castings and top dressed with compost. All plants received full strength Silica Boost foliar spray. Mix pack#2 showed 2 unopen pollen sacks (?) which were removed.

The harvest went well, I left it in the dark for 2 days before cutting it. drying 12 days at 60% humidity the smell is crazy, I can't wait to taste it

I changed the light cycle to 12 hours. The ladies look very happy at the moment. Gelato #2 is about 5 cm smaller than her sister. I hope she still catches up a bit.

Herercane is doing well and putting on some stretch. I can see the sativa traits coming out in the leaves pretty dominate. I have them on half bloom and half grow now. Will probably cut out the maxigro in about a week and start them in a pinch if flower boosters. Other than that everything is running smooth.
