Week 7 of flowering 10/30/24 Changed nutrients to fit week 7 Buds are getting even bigger and thicker. Last week PH drop happened again a couple of days after the major flush. PH in rootzone is getting lower every day. Runoff still at 10-20%, so no salt buldup, EC same as intake or litttle higher. Flushed again with FloraKleen and watered with TriPart Micro, Grow, Bloom with CalMag. Bought Potassium Bicarbonate and Calcium Carbonate as suggested by "Aqua Man", to buffer coco in the future. hey all, let's do an experiment with budswelling and without ! i know it will not be exact science but i will give some insight if it works or not. i have got 2 C.banana and 2Royal Gorilla on 1 plant of each sort i have done my budswelling so we can compare both strains and the effect at the end of harvest to see if it makes a difference or not. in my believe it makes a difference but i can not prove it maybe this will give an idea if it makes a difference or not. also i have put an video on how i do the budswelling with scissors or with fingers. i prefer to do it with fingers it's a lot quicker then with scissors. You need to do this on al the buds not only on top. Some say you need to do this every week but i only do it after 3or 4 weeks into flowering.

Striding into week 8, the buds are just stacking on top of each other and I think she is going to yeild pretty big! Just trimming leaves to expose lower budsites as growth continues. She is almost too big for me to get out of my tent without snapping a branch or 2 off so the coming pictures might be not as well lit or under Burple lights :( . Sorry! I have started to reduce the amount of Grow I feed the plant and increasing my bloom nute up to 2.5m/L this week. Flowers are starting to frost up just a little bit and should see some great progression over the next week I hope! Will update with more Pictures later in the week! End of week edit: She has come out of the tent for the last time until harvest now, buds are really starting to pack on some serious weight and the branches are resting on the side of the tent, next grow I will be using a net to support the branches. Other than things going very well this week there isn;t much else to say other than, another 4 weeks seems optimistic at the moment for harvest. I think it may be 5-6 weeks, what do you guys think? From week 2 of flowering I have only a few days of pictures. Due to vacations I don't have more

The Afghani has filled out really well. The smell coming from this plant is sweet and skunky. The cold night temperatures are causing the leaves to turn purple and some of the hairs are starting to turn orange. I'm having a hard time with identifying the difference between milky and clear trichomes. They look cloudy to me with a few areas that are still clear. I'm hoping to harvest next week but I may have to go another week.

The plant is suffering some calcium and phosphorus deficiency. I add more of this in my feeding chart. The plant is blooming now and It seems she will be nice. The smell has started and it seems to be quite delicious. The buds are getting fatter. Here are some pictures

So far so good. They are starting to fatten up really nicely. The plant which was a hermie develops seeds inside the buds as I can see, the other two look fine. Also the plants start to show a bit of color which I am really looking forward to.

Had to harvest a little early, the high is very clarifying, and long lasting. The trichomes were mostly clear, with some slightly milky, not much amber at all. Flavours will be updated after a bit more testing. 20inx20inx36in grow space, 100w quantum board. Taste/effects/more info will be added after some curing time. A little bit sad that I had to harvest around a week early due to a small amount of bud rot, but it looks and smells great, I cant wait to actually try it out. Harvested 125 grams(dried) total from the 3 plants, I honestly didn't expect to get such an amount on the first try. Bud was so sticky during the final dry trim, my scissors kept getting stuck on themselves and I had to keep cleaning them often. Out of the 3 plants it was probably around 50g/50g/25g as the one in the back corner was smaller than the rest, but just as frosty. Great seeds, I would like to try the photo period version in the future.

28-9-2019 Out of the 3 different strains I am growing right now.This purple Kush is doing absolutely marvelous. No sign of deficiencies at all. The main stock is so thick and fat I am totally surprised( larger than a thumb) leaves are lush green and no tip burns anywhere. As soon as my new 940 watt Conversion bulb gets here (this week) It's flower time baby.😎

This week I sprayed my plants with tweetmint. I watered them 3 times since they’ve been in the pot. They’re growing , not that fast but they’re growing.
