📋 Nach 16 Wochen Gesamtlaufzeit ist heute der Tag der Ernte für die Mimosa x Orange Punch von Barneys Farm gekommen. Die Pflanzen stehen voll im Harz und haben ihr biologisches Ziel erreicht. Ich beende den Run punktgenau und bereite alles für die Trocknung vor. Die Genetik hat über die gesamte Zeit eine beeindruckende Stabilität gezeigt und liefert jetzt zum Abschluss genau das optische Bild, das man von einer Top-Sorte erwartet. 🌡️ Die klimatischen Bedingungen in der Zielgeraden waren stabil und auf den Punkt. Der CO2-Wert lag im Schnitt bei 736 ppm, was den Pflanzen geholfen hat, die Blütenmasse bis zum letzten Tag kompakt zu halten. Maßnahmen gab es diese Woche außer der Kontrolle der Werte keine mehr, die Pflanzen haben nur noch ihr restliches Wasser verbraucht. 📸 Ein Blick auf die Fotos zeigt den hervorragenden Zustand der Buds. Die Blütenstruktur ist extrem dicht und zeigt die typische kompakte Form mit leichten Ausstülpungen an den Spitzen. Die Harzproduktion ist massiv, die Trichome überziehen nicht nur die Blüten, sondern auch die Zuckerblätter wie eine dichte Schicht aus Puderzucker. Farblich hat die Pflanze ein wunderschönes Spektrum von tiefem Violett bis fast Schwarz in den Blättern entwickelt, was einen starken Kontrast zu den hellen, harzigen Blüten bildet. Die Stempel sind fast vollständig braun und zurückgezogen, was das Ende des Reifeprozesses markiert. In der Nahaufnahme sieht man, dass die Trichomköpfe perfekt milchig mit ersten bernsteinfarbenen Einschlägen sind. ✂️ Jetzt geht es in den Trockenraum. Die Buds sind beim Zerlegen extrem klebrig und verströmen ein schweres Aroma von Zitrusfrüchten und süßem Treibstoff. Die Dichte der Blüten ist beeindruckend, da gibt nichts nach, wenn man sie leicht zusammendrückt. Die nächsten Tage verbringen sie bei kühlen Temperaturen und kontrollierter Luftfeuchtigkeit, bevor es ans Curen geht. Ich bin sehr zufrieden mit dem Harzbesatz und der allgemeinen Vitalität bis zum letzten Tag. Das Ergebnis im Glas wird sicher ein Genuss.

Blüten werden inzwischen sehr Harzig und der Duft nimmt zu. Dem Giesswasser wird täglich 1:10 Jauche zugegen. Zu dem jedes zweite Gießen Pro Sugar von Grow Pro ein Kohlenhydrat Blütedünger(von der Mary Jane ein Tester). Zu dem gibt es ein bis zweimal in der Woche Seafeed Xtra von envii. Die ersten Blätter haben sich unten entfernt daher gebe ich gerade wieder Stickstoff zu den Pflanzen. Auch wenn es nur noch diese Woche war danach nur noch Blütedünger. Zu dem habe ich Basilikum gepflanzt, Dill, Ringelblume und Koriander gesäat am Anfang der Woche und zum Ende noch Lupine und Rot Klee.

Back with a new week, the beginning of week 6 and wow, the girls are really starting to show off their fall colours and frosty colourful buds. EC has been slightly lowered and I have dropped cal-mag to ensure a good flush later on in the grow. PK has been increased and the girls are fattening up. pH has been drifting so trying to keep a close eye on this to enable the correct uptake of essential nutrients at this critical stage. ☀️ // Day 43 🍁 Hello my friends, we are approaching the final weeks. If the 9 weeks are a reliable prediction from Compound, then this will take 3 more. But I take all the time ithe plant needs since I am doing a growing break over the summer. It just get's too hot in this region to grow peacefully indoors. So there is no stress for me to finish her quickly to go on. If she needs 10 weeks, that's fine for me. The buds are starting to mature. But I mean just slightly, as you can clearly see that she needs at least 3 more weeks. The frost production is superb, she has no deficiencies and the size of the buds is very satisfactory. The leafs are starting to get a real deep green color just like they're supposed to, if you look at the pictures from Compound. The only thing I can complain about is the smell of the plant. It seems very unspecific. If I rub on the trichomes, I get some freshness and some spicyness, which you could describe as dank & "gassy", but that's basicially how most weed smells at the beginning. I don't know if I just had a really good phenotype of the Jelly Donutz in my last grow but that plant reeked right from the beginning how it was supposed to. The whole box smelled like baked goods, milkshakes and dessert sweetness. I mean, there are still some weeks to go and there still is the cure to go through but I hoped to get at least a hint on what this strain will have to offer. Some real gas, some gelato cream or some biscotti dankness would be appreciated but for now, there just is nothing like that. We'll see how she evolves in the upcoming weeks. The plant got 4.5 L of water today with epsom salt. She is still getting water every 4 days, which is totally fine. I mean in the end, the more she drinks, the more she evolves and the fatter she gets, right? ☀️ // Day 47 🍁 Got the usual 4.5 L of water with epsom salt. Nothing to report, smooth sailing. She drinks a total of 9 L like every week. 💦 Watering: 9 L with pH = 6.3 💊 Fertilizer: Epsom Salt 💡 Light: 700 PPFD at 70%

Hadn’t really planned on starting veg in the middle of the night but I’m an insomniac and I think they were ready. Transplanted into clay pellets pre washed and pre soaked in ph 5.8 RO water. Going to flood for 15 minutes every 6 hours. Wanted to start off very light and technaflora recipe for success didn’t exactly say what to do for early veg, so decided to go 1/4 strength to start and work up from there. Starting at roughly 50% on the dimmer and will gradually ramp up. Added a humidifier since I’m in a very dry climate. First grow, hoping I’m not overthinking this. Wish me luck. Update 3/27 Realized I didn’t have enough water in my reservoir and plants were looking pretty stretchy. Added 5 gallons of ph5.8 1/4 strength solution. Shooting for 400 ppm for week 1 of actual veg. Plants are officially a week old from dropping in soil plugs. I think I’m going to count this as start of veg since I kinda screwed up with water level. Thankfully clay was soaked when I transplanted. Update 3/30 Plants stretched a little bit yesterday and started to topple over. Spent the better part of yesterday trying to keep them upright. In retrospect I originally transplanted these way too tall. Carefully dug away pellets and replanted deeper so leaves are just above ground level. All plant root systems look healthy. Bottom left plant is looking sadder than the rest with some droopy leaves. It was the stretchiest of the bunch. Update 3/31 PH had crept up to 6.4. Added 5 gal of ro water to top off. Brought ppm up to 400 and ph down to 5.8. Plants bounced back very nicely from deeper transplant. Running humidifier on lowest setting while lights are on to keep it around 70% rh Update 4/1 Upped nutes from 400 to 650ppm. Trying to ramp up to full strength by second week of veg. PH had crept up to like 6.5, brought it down to 5.8. Humidifier is only on during the day. At night it causes humidity to skyrocket and droplets to form on leaves even on lowest setting. May need to get it on a timer or just get a better humidifier. This 2.2L sucks

Week 13 has been going very well. Looks like this girl is at the end of her time. She has been yellowing and some of her leaf are starting to get purple. She smells like sweet pineapples. I have been giving her a water only flush this entire week and will cut her down at the end of next week. This has been such a pleasure to grow. I can’t wait till she’s cured and I can finally try her. Girl #2 is officially out of the autoflower category. I will not be showing her on this diary anymore. She’s going to be put on a photo schedule in the next few weeks. Can’t lie, I’m very disappointed. I was looking forward to her coming along and being a very late bloomer. Sadly she never came through and I’m ok with that. Everything is a learning experience to help me be better for future grows. Well global hysteria had me lose my job and computer but kept the growing up and made some trades while demand is high and am back here about to go into week seven. The Orange Blossom Fizz is really plumping up and is triched out. Seems like its still got at least a week and a half to go till flushing. It is really full of stacks but haven't seen much color coming in yet but it'll show more at the flush. I stripped a bunch of leaves at the actual week six about a week ago to make sure all the lowers are getting some. The video shows some full shots of the whole plant trained wide and low. Really liking this strain, last round was great and had solid nugs and great purps. The Krishna Kush is much closer to finish and I'll probably start flushing soon, like halfway through week 7. Its usually about 56-60 day for the chop. This is my pheno 1 and has a real crown shaped small nug structure from its landrace lavender background, but they're nice and frosty. Def a heavy feeder and did get quite a deficiency in the last few weeks here in the spots closer to the light. Couldn't up the nutes too much cause its sharing a res with the OBF, which is already getting nute burn a bit. Nute wise I cut out the Bud Candy and Grow at week six and switched from Liquid Kool Bloom to Beastie Bloom dry powder for this week's res. The next one I'll switch to some Dry Kool Bloom for 4 days to start the finishing before the flush. Try and keep this updated till the finish now.

7cm of vertical growth this week. Things slowing down a little. This kush is very bushy. It's a huge plant, and if I'm honest the 10 litre pot is way too small 😲 On she goes through flowering! 😍

Update week 4 Bloom

Swapped the plants this week as I realized I could use the 200w light to cover both the smaller plant and the lower canopy of the larger one more effectively. Hopefully this will allow sufficient light to cover more of the plants, as the lower canopy of the larger plant was 30 inches from the light! Now since I can lower the bigger light to accommodate the shorter plant, I can cover the left side of the bigger one, lowering the light to 23 inches, which is definitely better. The buds don't seem to be filling in quite as quickly this time but they are definitely making progress! I am guessing about another month, but who knows? I'm going to let them take their time and let me know when they're ready. Other than that was a pretty uneventful week, as I'm kind of coming into the final stretch I have stopped the lst and only trim the leaves that are blocking bud sites. They definitely appear more stressed than they have been, with a lot of bright purple stems connected to the leaves, but to me they look healthy enough to make it to the finish line!
