Both Barbarian (=AK-47 x Barbara Bud) plants have developed well and carry hefty top buds on each side branch and also the main cola. The lower regions also carry buds, but those are a little more fluffy and not so big and dense as the top buds. In total the two plants harvested 91,3 grams. Every bud is COVERED IN TRICHOMES and the plants glisten in the light, they are FROSTY AS HELL! The plants have a STRONG AROMA now, which is sweet and peachy with hints of sandalwood. They smell ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS and the dried weed carries the flavor of this aroma also in the smoke! VERY PEACHY! All in all I can only recommend this strain, its not the biggest yielder, but definitely delivers connoisseur grade weed. Hats off to Mat from House of the Great Gardener in Canada, he has made another GREAT cross and I hope he will release this variety soon! 👍😍😎.

Esta fue la novena semana de flora. Para ser mas específicos, hoy 25/07/2020, es el día 126 desde la germinación y el día 60 desde que la planta mostró los pistilos blancos y comenzó a florar. Creo que no falta nada para cosecharla, probablemente en los próximos días, ya que todos los tricomas están blancos, y muy muy poquitos están color ámbar. Si bien la semana anterior dije que esperaría a tener el 20% de los tricomas ámbar, esta planta en particular mostró una maduración muy pareja, que no había visto nunca, asi que es muy probable que corte en lo próximos días, con un 5-10% de tricomas ámbar. Esta semana solo regué con agua sin cloro y con un poco de melaza. Si bien para los fermentados que utilizo para alimentarlas no es necesario hacer lavado de raíces, creo que siempre viene bien sobre el final regar solo con agua y dejar que el suelo haga lo suyo. I didn t expected nothing from this plant, because of the slow and stunt start, but after the 3rd week it start to get "bigger" i m gonna try it again while i have another seed!💪 Anyway the result wasn t much, but amazing! Thanks for who followed the process, happy grow to everyone!👽

2nd time doing Brix levels...some ladies went from a Brix of 4 to a Brix of 10 while 2 only went from a Brix of 4 to 6. I am pleased with their progress upwards. Dam just learned you should take leaves for testing 2 hours after lights on....I took leaves from dark period 😣. Will update with new Brix numbers taken with lights on. Chopping is coming very soon. I will tag the Brix of each plant when I hang to dry so I'm able to keep track of how the higher Brix relates to taste, smell and potency😎 😁The ladies noticeably got fatter over night!(Nov 11th). Man they really enjoyed that last watering, hope this continues into next week. Just read to take your Brix leaves in a "Z" or "W" pattern as older leaves will contain higher carbs. The refracted light tells us the amount of carbs in the "juice or sap" and minerals too like calcium, proteins and fats (lipids). High Brix enables weed to produce secondary metabolites = greater medicinal value. Sucrose/sugar (Carbs) & mineral levels in the fruit or flower translates or relates to taste. A tasteless 3 Brix tomato from the grocery store or a 14 Brix tomato from OMG you grow delicious tomatoes. Death to covalent bonding! (My goal a 20 Brix😀 Won't be happening with this grow but will be the next😁). Read that most people can detect a half point difference in Brix in the flavour. Lots of smell coming from these Gorilla Girls😵 I can only go so far with plant chemistry and then I get a headache and get lost😔

Another week has flown by! The girls are doing great, cruise control this week as I have just been monitoring RH and temps. Trying to keep them as low as possible, I’ve been getting as low as 74 during the day and 68 at night. I finally took a look a look at the trichomes with my jewellers loop, lots of cloudy, and a few amber around the leaves and top colas, but still lot’s of clear trichomes. I’ve ordered myself a wireless/usb digital microscope to assist with the process, and looks like it will be here just in time to determine harvest day. 😎🎄 I started by eliminating the nutrients at the beginning of the week. I typically allow for 3-4 pure water feeds before I harvest, and at the rate they have been drinking, this should be enough to get through the 7-12 days they have before harvest. I don’t flush, but rather “rinse” with normal water amounts, allowing the plant to use up the remaining nutrients in the soil. This also allows me to recover most of the soil from my grows and reuse ♻️ with other soil mix. There has been great debate and a great deal of bro science out there for many years, but the recent studies suggest there is no difference in end result when it comes to flushing or using nutrients right until the end, if a proper dry and cure is performed. Well, I harvested one of the gxz, which considering the space it had to grow in, gave me around 230g wet, so hopefully looking at 2 z when dry. Really happy with it. Big up Barneys Farm. Leaving the other gxz and the auto for another week. You can see from the photos, the autos aren’t quite ready yet. Looking forward to wrapping a skin around this and lighting it...

Hallo Liebe Community! Leider gab es einen Nacktschneckenbefall den ich feststellte als ich am Samstag von meinen unvermeidbaren Terminen wieder kam. Zum Glück wurde Sie bisher verschont. Seitdem bin ich jeden Tag auf der Hut und habe den Untergrund der Untersetzer ein wenig Schneckenuntauglich gemacht. Ehrlich gesagt wollte ich los und was gegen Schnecken besorgen aber bisher scheint es gut zu funktionieren. Aber nu so ist es halt mit der Natur :-) Zum Wachstum Stamm und Blattwuchs machen sich gerade echt super, Seitentriebe entwickeln sich ebenfalls. Sie hat einen ordentlichen Sprung in die Höhe gemacht. Dünger Da Sie etwas empfindlicher ist auf der Düngeebene, hab ich sie vorsichtiger gedüngt. Sie befindet sich auch gerade in der Vorblüte. Ab dieser Woche geht es dann langsam mit Kalium und Phosphor los. Ich freue mich auf die Kommende Woche! Das Wetter ist aktuell eher grau und es regnet wirklich nicht wenig. Die Zugabe von Additiven im Outdoor Bereich sind durch das Wetter aktuell nur schwer umsetzbar. Ich hoffe sehr, dass jetzt bald mal wieder mehr Sonne kommt! The THC BOMB is really starting to flower and form its budz....they are all getting their own set of nutrients because they are all at different stages...I WILL GET PICS OF ALL THREE STRAINS UP NEXT WEEK....meanwhile I just wanted to add a quick update and some close up of the buds starting to form...nutes were given this morning and the next few days of perfectly ph'd water should make next week a good one...providing nothing goes wrong in the meantime...some of the fox farms nutes aren't in the drop down menus...im using the basic soil trio pack at half dosages...

Not many fan leaves to chop. She grew nice and uniform. Buds look great, Lots of crystal and the purple makes them stand out!!!

📆 Week 15, 30 April - 6 May 2024 30 April - Turned light power to 75%. 1 May - Did a significant defoliation. 2-6 May - Observed and let the plant grow. 📑 I was debating on keeping the lights at 100%, or defoliating the plant. Defoliating won this time. There just wasnt enough light penetration getting to the lower buds (half the plant) to mature them for maximum growth and quality yield. So leaving the lights that bright did not achieve my expectations. It is a tricky situation when you start taking leaves away from a plant in flower, but when shadows are blocking bud developement you have to balance your grow and open it up. My method is to start with the lowest leaves and work your way up, use common sense, discard yellowing and damaged ones first, leaving the healthy green leaf on the plant. Then strategically remove the few that shadow the buds you want more focus on.
