3/23 12AM Monday. BKO I made from crossing Gelato 44 and Bubbles Blueberry F4 is way better than I thought LOTS of color. All are doing good, even with soft water..as long as I flush out way more than im used to. That’s an awesome success story, congratulations on pulling off that pollen chuck and getting viable seeds from your targeted branch! As a non-professional breeder working in a home setup (with the challenges of being homebound and managing everything solo), nailing a deliberate cross like this is seriously impressive. You basically created your own hybrid: **Blueberry Bubbles F4** (from Brothers Grimm Seeds, a refined take on DJ Short’s classic Blueberry lineage—sweet, creamy blueberry terps with vanilla, subtle lavender/chamomile, and those nostalgic fruity/skunky notes) pollen hitting a **Gelato 44** (the Tyson 2.0 collab with Royal Queen Seeds, which is Sunset Sherbet x Thin Mint GSC—potent, indica-dominant with citrus-cookie-earth-mint flavors, high THC around 22%, and dense, resinous buds). The result you got—those **bright red calyxes** (the small, teardrop-shaped protective structures that hold the pistils and get super frosty with trichomes)—is a beautiful, eye-catching phenotype expression. It’s not something you see every day, and it turned out “really nice” as you said. ### Why the Bright Red Calyxes? If you snap more pics of the full buds or plant, I’d love to see how it fills out.👨‍🔬 3/24 4:07 AM Montel dream widow is doing great so are the two Mike Tyson‘s and the bubbles I have a Cork Screw auto in there I kind of made a mistake. I couldn’t tell it wasn’t flowering and I moved it from one tent to the other, so that one has been flowered and bagged and back to flower. I don’t know what’s gonna happen but they’re all looking great. Wish I could figure out what I’m doing right now but having these two lights instead of one at lower wattage and getting a lot of runoff, I take them into the bathtub to water them now just to make sure that the EC is where I want it to be when I’m done. It’s a heck of a lot more work this way and I didn’t mean to have this many going so it’s still working out really good though. So I have all the trailer Park boys, Montel, iced tea, two Mike Tyson’s and the one that I made the blueberry knockout that one’s really nice. I can put this on that tumor on my neck since I can never seem to die. 3/25 1:30PM MONTEL!!!! DREAM WIDOW IS THE STAND-OUT FOR LOOKS AT THE MOMENT..... Montel's Dream Widow is looking absolutely killer in these photos. The undulating, "tarantula-like" leaf pattern emerging from the buds is one of the coolest and most distinctive traits I've seen on a cannabis plant in a while. Those long, serrated fan leaves are curling and radiating outward from the cola in a wavy, almost spidery or "hairy" fashion, giving the whole bud a wild, textured, almost alien look. The heavy frost (those dense white trichomes coating everything) combined with the way the leaves are twisting and overlapping makes it look like the flower is exploding with movement. It's hypnotic and unique—definitely not your standard dense, compact cola. Why this happens This phenotype is likely a combination of: Genetics from the Montel's Dream Widow strain (a cross involving Widow family genetics—often White Widow or Widow relatives—with strong sativa-leaning or hybrid vigor that can produce more "leafy" or "foxtail" bud structures). Going to keep Ricky going re-vegging and she's a pet for life now. 3/29 2:45PM "Montel Iced Tea under the two TS 1000 lights (running at ~50-60W each) is hitting that sweet spot you’re looking for. The main cola being tall and just a couple inches from the light without burning is excellent. That low wattage combined with the drivers mounted outside the tent is the key “magic” here. Why This Setup Is Working So Well for You • Low heat + safe distance: At only 50-60W per light, the TS 1000 isn’t dumping excessive heat directly onto the canopy. The tall main cola can get close to the light for good light penetration without tip burn. • Drivers outside the tent: This is the big win. The driver is the main heat source on many lights. By keeping both drivers on top of the grow tent (outside), you’re keeping the tent much cooler and safer. Most other lights (including the FE 1500) keep the heavy driver inside, which turns small tents into ovens. • Fan + carbon filter mounted on top: You’re keeping all the motors and moving parts outside the enclosed space. This is smart for safety (easier to shut off or access if something goes wrong) and reduces heat buildup inside the tent. • Overall design: Less mass inside the tent = less risk, easier temperature control, and better airflow. The fact that it’s working so well with the Montel is encouraging you to redesign other tents this way. This matches your practical, safety-first style: low wattage for gentle, even coverage, everything heavy/hot mounted externally, and the ability to quickly access or shut off components. It’s not the “maximum wattage” approach many growers chase, but it’s clearly giving you better real-world results in your small tents.

All growing well leaves are starting to fatten. Mazar and Lime are each 6cm and Ultimate is 9.5 cm. Watering ph water at 200ml as needed.

Right so now I flushed the hell out of this lady and the runoff now is the exact same as what's going pretty much. Also I'm super happy to see the purples coming through and also the smell has changed drastically and started smelling more like Mimosa than it did pre-flush. Going to do one last flush now and leave it 2 or 3 days then leave her in the dark for 48 hours then cut her down!

7/30 I defoliated another 3 gallon bucket of dead leaves. I really hope this is senescence. It appears to be. However some little leaves on the bottom interior seem to be turning yellow and falling off. Plants look healthy. I always worry when this happens. I labeled this week as flower as I can see the "asparagus stalks" stretching that will eventually become colas. Pistols are evident. I'm wondering if my ph is off. I can't find my meter. That's how it always goes. Only thing I can't find is the thing I need. I'll update once I put some work in. I think the girls are hungry. I will feed tomorrow. Tonight looks cool enough to spray. Now to decide WHAT to spray. 7/31 FED 3 GALLONS TO THE GARDEN. I didn't water before or after I fed. I was on a time constraints and plants looked hungry. I hope I'm not putting to many salt based nutes to the soil to cause lock out. Leaves on my GDPs seem to be dropping. They've grown WAY taller though. I'll have to look at a deficiency chart but it just looks like they are bleached out. I hope the WPM didn't stop them from performing photosynthesis. It can't stay this hot forever though and I'll be applying either organocide or potassium bicarbonate to treat the WPM. It's not a bad case anyway. I'm not losing AS many leaves but lots have dropped or turned yellow. Leaves at the very top of the GDP have tacoed. Hopefully the kelp me kelp you helps. I put down more slug bait pellets to hopfully kill these bastards. Can't find my ph meter. I'm probably going to have to do a slurry test if i cant find it. One cool thing is that NYC Skunk Ape plant is ridiculously resilient. Even with plants around that have pm and other stuff this bush stands strong unaffected by disease or pest. 8/1 Didn't water. Leaves on my GDP's are turning yellow and the very top leaves are tacoed. I'm defoliating what I can. Ph must be off or something. Not sure. I'll update later 8/2 I took a few one minute videos to shoe friends the yellowing leaves. He thinks lockout as well. It's strange. Only the GDPs are showing these signs of extremely yellowing bleaching leaves. I did feed 3 gallons without watering due to a medical emergency. Maybe that fucked up the ph at the root zone. The tops of some of the GDPs have burnt 🌮 leaves. Friend said that's a sign of lockout. This morning the damage was the most evident as I didn't defoliate the prior day. I see all plants transitioning to flower though. The blueberry that was sideways and needed to be supported is doing awesome. The GDPs rte the only plants that seem to be struggling. I was worried about that when getting my clones. Oh well we will see how things work out. I either need another ph meter or a way to test soil ph. UPDATE: I bought another soil ph meter. The GDP in the middle had readings anywhere from 7.3 to 8.5. The other GDPs were low 7's. Same with other plants I got a read on. My well water is a tad alkaline. Not much. Usually adding nutes brings it down to perfect. I say this every year but I need to stop using salt based nutrients. I filled a 5 gallon bucket and phed the water before using the majority to 'kinda' flush the medium of the large GDP. I did the same to the other GDPs. Only time will tell if this was the correct move. Still have problems with earwigs. I added more sluggo plus pellets. I may go over after dark and see what I can find. 8/3 Massive thunder storm last night. Measured the ph and the three best plants (2 9lb kush, 1 NYC Skunk ape) had ph of 6.6 and 6.7. I couldn't read the skunk ape but it's the healthiest looking. The GDPs are ALL high 7's with the back of one bag registering at 8.5 at the highest!! This is after all that rain too. I'm not sure what I'm going to do. I'll update later. I see prior earwig damage on the small interior thin Larry stuff. I may need to lollipop. This is a challenging year. 8/4 The GDPs look pretty rough and are transitioning to flower. I'm wondering if I should just strip the damage from earwigs (almost like lillipoping) and cut the small interior larfy stuff that's been damaged. I did some slight defokiating but the gdps have dropped a lot of leaves. Transplanted that nycsa clone that was in a 1 gal FOREVER into a 10 gal smart pot. I don't expect much but better than just letting it die like I had been. The 9lb kush clone will get thrown in either another 10gal bag or right I. My pile of old soil. I have a lot of work to do. I have some plants that are doing amazing. I have a couple in rough shape. No more clones for me. No more foxfire nutes either. I always run into lockout at least once and I don't feed heavy. I'll update as I progress. Today is another day in the upper 90's with rh about the same. 8/5 I guess we got some rain last night. I brought the ph on all the plants down. Highest readingcwas 7.4 which is better than 8.5. That one big GDP is in some rough shape. Earwigs have stripped some internal shoots to absolutely nothing but a stick. I thought I was controlling the population pretty well but I guess not. I will go back over add more sluggo plus, de and petroleum jelly and possibly do a spinosid spray. Plants are really transitioning to flower. If imvgoungvto away now is the time. PM is there but it's really not that bad.

-I’m going to check tomorrow, March 2, to see if the seeds have popped. I’ll take pictures then. -It’s March 6th and the seedlings are looking happy. I’m hand watering them with filtered water. I’ll make a tea and start adding some benies the next time I water them, hopefully. I want to add my go pro and stream live.

The plant continues to develop beautifully and is clearly hitting its stride now. Buds are visibly stacking and gaining density with every passing day. The fruit aroma is absolutely incredible, smelling intensely like fresh apricot jam and filling the room instantly. A real highlight is the stunning pink coloration, which is now spreading steadily from the top buds downward. Overall, this run is shaping up to be something very special.

9/11 - Harvest day for Kiss 1. Her sister will take a little bit more time.

This week things are swelling quick great ! The purple is showing up more but still only trace amounts. The black has no signs of changing colour however I already know my pheno ain’t the one ☝️ . But the purple shows promise!! Slow at cloning and a higher mortality rate then the black amnesia haze. This one almost every single clone I made all root amazingly ! Highly recommend for its yields and ease in the grow room. You can really feed it high . Still unknown why the purp has curling leaves but from others grows I see it’s fairly common . I’m guessing it prefers a slightly more alkaline PH . I’ve been using citric acid to ph correct and every time I sway a little low like 6.4-6.2-5.9 the plants leaves curl slightly more. Most mixes are in the 6.8-6.5 range however.

Not much changed this week. The plants are getting bushy and didnt have much of a stretch yet. Still trying to do a little light stress training to fill in empty spots in the canopy. Bud sites are definitely starting to develop and they're starting to stink just a little more.

All transplanted to new homes coco as the soil. It’s about day 5 give or take and they are loving there new homes!🤟🏽🌱🔥 All plants look healthy 🌱🤟🏽💨

Last two weeks ive been lowering down the PPM close to 0 but right now is at 842PpM And I am going to continue lowering down thru this week til closer to zero. Top row is all Trainwreck except the guy in the front right. Bottom is all Amnesia. 5/27 Long, slow dry at high 50s humidity. Trimming seemed okay, though tedious. Got 83 grams after subtracting the weight of the Grove bag! Not bad! Will update after curing.

Why we changed nothing (and why that’s not doing nothing) Your room conditions: • 🌡️ Day temp: ~28 °C • 💧 RH: ~65% • ⚡ EC: 2.4 • pH: 6.5 • 📏 Height: ~40–80 cm • 💡 LED lighting On paper, some growers would panic at 28 °C in flower. But here’s the key difference between growing by numbers and growing by understanding: Under LED, leaf temperature ≠ room temperature. LEDs don’t radiate infrared heat like HPS. So while the wall sensor says 28 °C, the leaf surface is usually 2–4 °C cooler. And the plant does not “feel” the room — it feels its own leaf temperature. That’s where leaf VPD comes in. ⸻ Leaf VPD — the part most people skip VPD (Vapor Pressure Deficit) is simply the difference between how much moisture the air can hold and how much it actually holds. But here’s the nuance most charts miss: • Room VPD is calculated with room temp • Leaf VPD is calculated with leaf temp So if: • Room = 28 °C • Leaf = ~24–26 °C • RH = 65% 👉 our leaf VPD lands right in the comfort zone for early–mid flower. And the plants are confirming that with their behavior: • Deep, relaxed green • No tacoing, no praying too hard • Internodes strong and structured • Uniform nutrient uptake across phenotypes That’s the real data. We’re not ignoring numbers We’re letting the plant be the final authority. Stability here beats “fixing” something that isn’t broken. ⸻ Defoliation — why this time was heavier Let’s be very clear: This was not aesthetic defoliation. This was functional defoliation. Context matters: • 🏠 8×8 room • 🌱 ~27 plants • 🌬️ Airflow, light penetration, humidity pockets all scale differently Sometimes a single plant wouldn’t “ask” for leaves to be removed — but the room does. Why you defoliated: • Improve airflow through a dense canopy • Reduce micro-humidity pockets • Allow photons to travel deeper, not just hit the roof • Reset apical dominance and refocus energy on flowering sites Yes — i went harder than originally planned. But: • Genetics are strong • Plants are healthy • Root zone is dialed • Feed is stable Healthy plants recover fast. Stressed plants don’t. These girls are the first category. And importantly: we didn’t stack stress. No feed change. No environment change. No light shock. That’s how we “go hard” safely. This week was a good one . Stellar initial growth this round after upgrading lights & using homemade super soil. My 3 day old plants looked like 9 day old plants of my last run to give an idea . I watered for the first time since planting on 5/17 . I had to itch to test the runoff since it’d only take a sec right? All the ph’s came out almost 2 points lower than when they went in so I decided on a flush even though I’m using Dry amendments. Honestly I didn’t have the problem of fluctuating ph’s before I added that Peat Moss to my supersoil in hindsight I wish I would have just ordered 1 more 11lb brick of CoCo Coir . I had the idea that I may need to flush a day or two prior to watering when I noticed all my stems purple. I get it could be genetics but ALL of them where purple . Here today it is 1 full day since I flushed & all of the stems are now Green with the exception of my Runtz seedling. 3/17 will make day 7 for Runtz & #1 of the GDP 3/18 will make day 7 for Zkittlez & the 3 remaining GDP. I intended to transplant these ladies day 13 preferably into their forever homes of 3g fabric pots . Fingers crossed day 14 they’ll be ready to start some LST.

GDP 2 IS 18.5 INCHESS TALL. #2 IS IN A 3 GALLON POT, I THINK THATS WHY SHE IS SO MUCH SMALLER. COULD ALSO JUST BE GENETICS. DAY 43. DAY 44: EACH PLANT HAS STRETCHED ANOTHER INCH. GDP 1 IS 28.5 AND GDP 2 IS JUST UNDER 20 INCHES TALL. NOT TOO BAD. LETS SEE IF THEY STRETCH ANYMORE. ITS SLOWED OVER THE PAST COUPLE DAYS FOR SURE.
