17/07 Die Buds werden größer und so langsam kommt Farbe ins spiel. Die Trichome sind noch nicht so weit und die Blüten bilden sich weiter aus. Gegossen wird weiterhin mit Wasser. Dünger hat sie bisher einmal am Anfang in der Blüte bekommen.

I had a horrible germination rate then the seedling I finally got was very weak. So I made the best of it, and finished the grow. Frosty buds nice color. Great smell. The Gen 1:11 nutrition works good. Was just the first time using it in DWC. Good looking nugs. Just not one of my best grows. The summer really affected my outcome, three weeks of near 40 degrees made most of my buds fluffy and deformed, then the dry room was left open so the humidity was at 30 percent.. 3 days and all my buds were completely dried out. After 4 weeks of curing the taste came back a little but still not the best Up to the next one ❤️

so my first clones are in veg for now 2 weeks. soon i will put them in 12/12. Im still checking out what genetics works best for me, for my SOG grow.. will see how they develop and make a selection after flowering. lets see whats happening...

Blue Shark is looking fab! Still a darker green than everyone else. There are 2 videos this week, one where I explain how my plan for a tomato roof using materials I already had didn't work out, and the 2nd being about the rogue who grew in my pea bed (whom I affectionately call "Rogue One") who has been raised almost exclusively on my homemade compost. I had people who were concerned last year when I made my own compost tea from the compost in my pile. People were concerned about bacteria, nutrient profile, etc. I feel like a lot of people get really regimented in their feeding, and they sort of forget that these are plants and they can adapt. They take what they need if it's available. I moved away from using mineral salts this year because you have to be careful with so many of these fertilizers so that you don't burn the plant, you have to flush it so you don't get a harsh smoke, mineral salts causing lockout, etc. If you stick with products that are natural you don't really have to worry about nute burn. You don't have to flush for an extended period of time before harvest. You don't have salts building up in the soil that are detrimental that you have to periodically flush and then add beneficial microbes back in. There is another way.

As expected with regular seeds, we had both males and females, and this was the week we identified them all. From the original 12 beans, 5 revealed themselves as proud ladies while the rest — equally stunning in structure and expression — turned out to be males. 🌿 💚 Let’s talk about regular seeds and plant sex: Regular seeds are unsexed, meaning they can become either male or female. It’s a 50/50 genetic roll of the dice — and with unique mutant genetics like these, identifying sex isn’t always easy early on. Males typically show small pollen sacs, often referred to as “bananas” in their early stage. Females develop pistils, the first hairs of the flowers we’re after. Male plants, while beautiful and structurally fascinating (especially in this mutant project), can compromise a flowering room if left unchecked. Their pollen can fertilize female plants, leading to seeded buds — great if breeding, not great for clean flower. So, we say goodbye, thank them for their beauty, and move forward with the ladies to full bloom. The males? Coming into the home stretch here. I've been flushing for a week, going to give her one more good watering then plan on harvesting this weekend. I still don't see any amber trichomes, but I don't want the dying leaves to cause any bud rot, so amber or not she's coming down this weekend. The smell is super STRONG!!!👍

This week, I had to cut three leaves—two smaller ones that looked like some kind of insect had laid eggs on them, and one of the big sun leaves. Finally, I can see some brown trichomes on the B-grade buds. I thought about harvesting soon, but it will probably take another two weeks or so... Or I may have to harvest her week by week. I haven't decided yet. What I can say is that increasing the amount of fertilizer has helped improve the health of the leaves. I should have increased it sooner; it seems that autos need more nutrients earlier than photoperiod plants.

started with 15 liters of nutrient-mix this week. I need exactly one third of the recommended amount of fertilizer to get an EC of 1.4 mS/cm. pH was 6.3. Drain of the StrawberryAK had an EC of 2.2 and she smelled super strong when i took her out of the tent. An intense sour strawberry bubblegum scent. The Humboldt Gelato smelled als very good, the typical mouthwatering Gelato smell. Drain had an EC of 1.7mS/cm. The CBD Chronic also had an EC of 1.7mS/cm. Compared to the two other plants, she wasnt smelling very strong. Good old lemon and wood.
