Flowering REALLY taking off this week. This lady is turning into a monster. Loving the growth, but also having a hard time controlling the foliage. Not clear I need to prune all that much more. Seems to me the buds are all getting the nutes and light they need. Giving it another week of growth before any hard pruning I think. Fun fact: apparently this plant can drink through a good 3-4 liters of nutrient solution a day when the grow room fans are on full and lights are on.

For the last day of the year we treat ourselves to the story of a special little girl. Her name is Biscotti, her name already says it all about the potential of this young girl born in Holland with this beautiful Italian Strain Name, she is precious and full of style since conception. She looks like she was designed by Pininfarina who smokes joints. It's a bit as if Gianni Versace had dressed her, extravagant, provocative, truly flamboyant, if you have the patience to look at the thousand photos that I made clear that I literally couldn't stop taking. It's a journey I don't want to leave, especially when I'm in the middle of it. terpenes, please leave me there! She grew up quietly, with her small internodal distance you could see that she was beautiful even without flowers, but it was when she flowered that she truly gave her best. Already from the first weeks of flowering you can understand very very well that the girl has a bright color and she threw resin very early thanks to Power Buds, Sugar Royal and Green Sensation in my opinion. The flowers have an imposing shape, they really are beautiful little purple beasts just in the dry room, for a few days soon we will do an initial test and then we will wait to taste it without too much fresh taste. I’m about sure to have rated 10 stars the strain and all feeding 5 stars but i found the strain rated 9 stars and the feeding 4, not sure but almost sure. I often get sad when I cut it, I'm too sad to cut it, I always think I'll smoke it and everything, but it's so beautiful that it makes my heart ache to cut it. It's her life cycle, otherwise she would rot for goodness sake, it's a joke but I really have a moment of shock in her heart. She'll move on to the first vaporized one I guess. Technique used - She was worked with a. single topping cut but leaving the two branches lower than the cut, thus obtaining 4 main branches with the relative branches. I also did a bit of LST at the beginning but having space problems then I decided not to let it expand too much. Flowers are beautiful beasts for truly yummi. Fertilizers - We have to make a special mention of Plagron I wrote a review in this diary which only partially explains how good this line of fertilizers is. I feel like I saw with my own eyes the changes in the plants when I gave the additives, I really saw the plants push in resin and everything. For more information read the review, I don't like to be repetitive, I don't write the quantities, they are also in the diary and in any case very similar to those recommended by the manufacturer. Never exceed this with any fertilizer and always flush. Light and home - The light was provided by MarsHydro and the home as well, it is the SP 3000, a piece that is not of the latest generation but which I love for its length of around 110 cm which you can understand how it covers me super well, the 120 wide wide grow room cm, 60cm deep and 180cm high, always supplied by them with a better than average covering by a lot and fantastic windows from which to spy on the girls. Not much going on yet. Added some 3d printed supports to make sure they don't start flopping over. Not sure if it's the strain, or my idiocy, but these bastards are soooo leggy. Grr. Watering daily to 15% runoff with MegaCrop 2 part in RO at 0.6EC and 5.6pH. Found Mega Crop gives very stable pH on the right range without any pH up or down needed. Took one day off (3/18) watering to water with Silica Boost at 6ml/gal concentration pHed to 5.4. PPFD 300 at canopy for DLI of 20. PPFD was about 20 for first week while I was prepping and sanitizing the grow room, which might explain the leggyness. If they don't look better after topping, I might pull them and try a different strain. 3/20 - this grow is inspired by the techniques of Bruce Bugbee (PPFD, nutrition, EC monitoring, substrate, environment, etc) and the concept of VPD control, both of which served me very well in the past. The grow room has dual PID controls in my PLC regulating the temperature and humidity to lock in the VPD based on plant age. In later veg and flower, I had CO2 injection on a PID, but that ultimately failed because I couldn't get the humidity down as it got huge. Had too many vent cycles. This year, hope to source or kludge an in-line dehumidifier so I can keep the sealed chamber where it needs to be without wasting CO2. 3/22 no more vertical growth, thank god, leaves and roots are slowly catching up. Ok, so this week I did the initial flush and from now on going to be only giving her plain water. The plant has gotten a bit more swollen with a bunch more trichomes than it had before everything is still looking pretty nice to me no problems that I can see but this ain't the end yet so we will see how this next week goes over pce✌️

5 week Blooming

Ciao a tutti! Sono veramente senza parole per la quantità di terpeni e tricomi, mai avuti risultati simili. Devo dire che la linea advanced nutrients sta facendo tutto il suo dovere, non ho mai sentito un profumo così, si sente anche fuori di casa. Ho defogliato ancora tra una rete e l'altra andando a eliminare tutte le foglie che erano inutili, per evitare rischi muffa (visto anche l'umidificatore acceso) e per far sì che aria e luce non abbiano impedimenti a circolare liberamente. Penso che manchino 3 settimane, dalla prossima inizierò con l'overdrive per far sì che la pianta inizi a scaricare tutto quello che ha. Sono veramente soddisfatto, senza parole. La prossima volta metterò solo più due vasi e due strain, per ridurre il consumo di acqua e fertilizzanti, ho visto che ce la posso fare tranquillamente e più o meno nelle stesse tempistiche, visto l'eccessivo allungamento avuto questa volta. Una nota di merito allo strain, la barney's non delude mai ma la mimosa evo è veramente top, lo scorso anno ho fatto quella normale stavolta per orange punch e devo dire che è lo strain migliore che ho messo finora. Bene, continuerò a rifarmi gli occhi, a settimana prossima! 🤣 🍀😎💪🏼🔝

End of Week 9 of Flowering! I skipped Week 8 because I literally had no time for an update, but not much changed anyway. Temperatures spiked brutally - during Week 8, my growbox hit 32°C (90°F). To compensate, I dimmed the light to 75% power and raised it to about 60 cm above the canopy. This kept temps around 29°C (84°F), with occasional peaks at 31°C (88°F). Gotta say, the ventilation helps a ton, and I avoided any "foxtailing." Since mid-Week 8, I’ve cut all nutrients and only fed pH’d water at 6.2. The plants are still drinking, and under the 60X jeweler’s loupe, they clearly need more time. Most trichomes are still clear/milky, with very few amber ones—especially on the leaves rather than the buds. I’m a bit worried the heat might’ve delayed ripening. A good sign, though: the natural yellowing of leaves suggests we’re nearing the end of the cycle. The Sensi Stars (supposedly 8-week flowering time) still need longer, despite having the fattest, densest buds of the bunch. For now, I’m sticking to plain water and checking trichomes daily, hoping to chop some plants soon. Le piante hanno qualche carenza, ho provato a rimediare con il thè organico e con il concime di copertura anche questo organico, ma sembrano non bastare. Questa settimana ho usato dei concimi organo-minerali per avere un effetto più efficace... Si spera🤞. Comunque, tralasciando qualche foglia ingiallita, i fiori si stanno sviluppando bene e hanno un profumo davvero ottimo!

Well I will be running this girl again very soon as she has produced some of the sweetest smelling buds I have grown so far . The colour purple is found around the buds and the tricohmes have a very good stickiness to them which makes for some great quality medicine . The team at the actual company seed stockers were very easy to deal with and they answered all my questions . I'm honestly going to run her outdoors this spring in southern Ontario she will be big girl outdoors for sure ...
