Ginger Nut Cookies & Aussie Music Videos Week 16 Harvest 17 th April 2020 This Entire feminised seed making and growing project was a very good learning experience for me. Right from the very start, when I successfully got a Cutting ,taken from a Barneys Farm Red diesel female plant to produce feminised pollen after treating it with a silver thiosulfate solution. I then used it to pollinate a Fastbuds Girl scout cookies auto plant and let it grow to maturity. This only produced 3 viable seeds one of which is the subject of this Diary. I made up the name "Ginger nut cookies" after a variety of cookies we have here in Australia that are made with ginger. They are the same colour as the distinct red hairs on the red diesel buds. And would you believe those same vivid red hairs were passed on to this plant so I wasn't too far off the mark with the strain name. Her flavour however is nothing like red diesel or girl scout cookies and infact as taken on a smell and aroma all of it's own. She has a lovely tropical fruit like taste and the smell is a bit like fruit yoghurt. It has an unreal after taste on the exhale and the lingering second hand smoke smells very sweet and enticing. She has a pretty well balanced high too not as potent as the GSC nor as energenic as the red diesel but just a pleasant mix of the two. It was a very easy to grow and undemanding plant that didn't seem to require a lot of extra feeding other than the 100% organic nutrients that were within the soil and a few things like compost teas etc. The other element of this diary was of course the weekly Aussie music videos That I provided the links for and put up a little video clip preview of each Artists song. Buenos días y buenos humos para tod@s… Estamos en la semana 3 de crecimiento y, por el momento, las plantas van como esperábamos. Están creciendo de manera continua y se mantienen en buenas condiciones. Hemos añadido algo más de humedad, ya que estaba bastante baja, y de momento parece que está funcionando bien. El riego lo hacemos cada 5 días: a las plantas grandes les damos 150 ml y a las pequeñas 100 ml. Tanto el pH de la humedad como el del riego está en 6.0 y, por ahora, va perfecto. También hemos empezado a utilizar Plagron Grow, añadiendo tan solo 1 ml por cada 2 litros de agua. La idea es ir introduciendo la alimentación de forma paulatina, para que las plantas se adapten poco a poco y no generarles ningún tipo de estrés. Mucha suerte en sus cultivos y seguiremos informando… 🌱💀💨

Avevo staccato due cime per pianta delle kmintz. Mantengono quello che sentivo mentre le toccavo. La prima pianta sa di caramelle zkittlez con un fumo che nell aria non è il classico odore di erba ma qualcosa di incensato e mi fa impazzire.La seconda è decisamente più complessa. Zkittlez/frutti di bosco/nocciola/gas. Ho scritto oggi a Ripper Seeds facendo vedere un po di foto e mi hanno detto di tagliarle pure anche se manca qualche giorno rispetto ai 63 dichiarati dalla casa.Ho già ricomprato 5 semi perché le rifarò sicuramente se non il prossimo ciclo quello dopo. Le due Watermelon Zkittlez proseguono la fioritura. A settimana prossima coltivatori 💪🤞

Heyyy! We’re now in week 3 of flower, and the plants are developing really well. The stretch is naturally starting to slow down, while the increased Sensistar Bloom intake seems to be doing them a lot of good. There was a slight calcium deficiency, but it was quickly resolved with half a dose of CalMag. The Mango in the middle is also catching up nicely with the others.

hey guys! I decided to baptized my two ladys and add some visual markers to see wich is witch easily! Batman = CBDurban / black bucket Robin = Afghan / white bucket After watching a tones of videos i finally decided to apply some prunning techniques. Batman received a topping to have for cola's, and Robin was FIM and i remove 2 big leaves that was doing lots of shadow! You can see the hole process by picture and videos! Thanks for following! PH is going down down down, corrected it with PH up up up. I don't know why it dropped ~0.1/hr when EC stayed pretty much stable, roots look fine, no smells so... ??? Did defoliation as usual, the NL #1 + 2 need it every couple of days, the Ori is just fine, doesn't need anything. Also did LST and lollipoping. Smells get more intense

Just chopped last night. About 8oz wet weight. Did a good amount of wet trimming, will do a final manicure once it is dried. This grow has been an absolute blast - the girls were good to me and didn't give me much trouble. I am a man of variety, so I always try new things - so not sure if i will grow it again but if I had to, I wouldn't be mad at all :) Smoked some scissor hash it is sure was tasty! and strong - got me feeling reallllllly nice. Will update in a week or so when it is dried to report on the dry weight. And then some time after that I will report on the smoke once it cures :) UPDATE POST HAND DRY: The plants hung for 6 days, and have now moved into the jars. Dry weight of exactly 2oz. 51g buds, 5g trim. I had no idea that cannabis loses its smell a bit as it dries - so i got super worried at first, only to realize this is normal and the beautiful smell returned shortly. Will continue to update after curing for a taste/effect review. UPDATE ~ 1.5 Weeks into cure: Looking back it think I did too much dry trimming. It had been cold at that time, and I was paranoid about mold. It dried quite quickly, and I might have been out a day too long. I was aiming to get them in jars and have it sit at about 60-65% humidity - but when they went into the jars it never went higher than 54% and kind of settled down at 48%. But the buds aren't crispy by any means, so maybe my humidity meter was off. They do seem a little too dry though - and the buds are definitely quite airy. My grow light is pretty small, so I'm not expecting super dense buds. From what I've read, I'm worried they might have over-dried past the point of "curing"? Or maybe I'm reading too much into this, idk. This is all a learning process and I'm enjoying it regardless. It was my first grow so I definitely have room for improvement within my current setup. I couldn't wait to try it so I've been sampling throughout the curing process. The flavor and scent profiles are definitely changing, and for the better - but it doesn't have that same "dank" smell it had when she was a living plant. Not sure if that's normal, but probably just didn't have the best drying process. Obviously this early, I'm not expecting amazing taste and smell, so let's see how some more time does. I will say it gets me stoned, for sure haha. It's got a nice dark green, purple color too it with a decent amount of thichomes visible. Honestly, the smaller plant (#1) that I stunted early on has a better scent/taste already, versus #2 that looked so good. Not saying #2 is a bust at all either. It has this earthy, almost cheesy flavor profile. Interesting. Back to the effect - it worked to the point where I feel laser-focused writing this update haha. It definitely has a hybrid effect, with a nice euphoric uplift, while helping me relax and ease tension. I'll try to keep updating this as it cures!

Week 5 of

Wow, it seems like an eternity has passed - the cycle turned out to be hard, and really risky😕 There were moments when the plant stood for days without lighting, thank Jah without stress, and negative consequences. But we still managed to reach the finish line, with a good result. First of all, I want to thank all the people of good will who did not leave my country in trouble, did not give it to a maniac to be torn to pieces. I am not a young man, but still, it was one of the most powerful revelations of my life, and I will never forget it. Ukraine will stand and win!🇺🇦 I also want to thank Female Seeds for the magical genetics, the GD-team for the opportunity to express and learn (I'm already used to the rebranding of the logo😇). The Cali Deli was a blast to grow and chop down. It's the most vigorous plant I've grown so far. I also never seen these kind of mammoth leafs compared to anything I've grown thus far! Great looking and great smelling pheno! Def recommend it!

This week i‘m forcing her to bloom. More nutrients and more ‚Sanlight‘ haha. Training with the clippers didn‘t really impress her, so she’ll be fine with the new setting. :)

Hey Growmies, she has bounced back phenomenally, so much that she has gotten extremely hungry. The feed shown here is the already the strong feeding suggestion, but I first saw a few leaves with a nitrogen deficiency, when I decided to up the veg nutes to pre flower levels, I now started to see signs of magnesium deficiency. I decided to add 10 ml more if calmag to the mix and will see if that’ll fix the issue. Other than that, she has started to develop a massive rootball and almost stretched by 12 cm. Will probably veg her for another 2 weeks by the looks of it and then flip her once she has filled the scrog. She is already starting to smell quite strong for her not even being in pre flower. I also want to point people in the direction of the photone app, a very helpful little helper that’ll help you getting a good guess of the ppms at your canopy. The plant is literraly touching the ground now and the buds are not only big now they are getting a lot of density to them and the smell is getting very strong a lot like widow but with almost a sour twist. Mouth watering for sure.
