Root Roids 0.5 mll
Started germination on the 24/06, planted in coco pellets on the 25/06, both successfully sprouted so far. Transfered coco pellets into perlite for now due to limited time to organise anything more suitable. 1 may have helmet head, unsure yet will give it another day until removing the seed casing Germination method: quarter glass of de-chlorinated water, ph'd to 5.5 with a pinch of root roids added to water. Once in coco pellets, root roids was added at 0.5ml/L, have also added B.A.C sugar syrup at the same rate, have never used it before but was told it's like "baby food" for seedlings so will give it a go. 100% germination from these so far, tried this strain years ago and really enjoyed it Back from a long hiatus, have really missed growing so I splurged and put together another setup

Seem to be travelling along okay, hoping to have some time next week to transfer them to the final pots and setup the watering system. Doing things a little differently due to time constraints Gone with cyco nutrients this time, usually get canna but after I seen how much it costs now I decided on cyco instead 01/07 - replaced temp reservior water due to B.A.C sugar candy syrup causing growth in water, should of seen this coming, believe it would be great for organic grows but not hydroponics. Also removed root roids as I've started adding Pythoff to sterilize the water. Upped the amount of grow nutrients due to how pale they still look, added PSI also

Going along well, difference in growth between the two is unusual. #2 looks a little sad, possibly overwatering it a little, #1 looking a lot like a hybrid while #2 looking more like an indica, hard to tell yet. Sticking with 860ppm/1.6ec for now, will up nutrients once in bigger pots and on an automatic watering system. Ordered an uva led lamp for flowering and an another led for both veg and flowering to increase the wattage to what I'm used to playing with, may have to lower the plants a little bit for the mean time, not much stretch happening, seem densely spaced so far, time will tell. No cats or plants were harmed during photography. 06/07 - popped a temp humidity dome over #2, definitely not over or under watering it, could also just be a slow grower. Definitely surprising with the difference between the two, #1 really wants to prove something, growth on it is unbelievable. Hoping to setup the auto watering system and transfer to final pots tomorrow, unfortunately #2 is gonna have to deal with it. If they were similar in growth I'd leave them a bit longer but #1 is outgrowing it's space at an alarming rate. Going to up the nutrients once settled into the bigger pots, #1 looks like it's going to need it, 3rd set of leaves is showing already. 07/07 - setup the reservior and auto watering system today, was going to transplant over to the larger pots but found a leak in one of the pots, waiting for it to dry to seal it. Setup grow a&b @2ml per litre, found it strange I'm only reaching 780ppm with a 100L res, possible the res is holding more then 100L, put 5x 20L buckets in, will adjust ppm once ready to transplant 09/07 - Transplanted into final pots, both plants root systems looking healthy and well developed

Upped nutrients to 950ppm. Turned lamp down to 60% due to lack of stretching, still to short to start training, branch development going well on #1, #2 still extremely behind, looks more indica then #1

21/07 - Unfortunately had to go away due to family health issues hence the gap in the diary, had someone look after them while I was gone, they were fine until yesterday, believe P.H was adjusted too low and has caused a nutrient imbalance and some P.H burn. Water was replaced before I left and is fine, ppm hasn't suddenly skyrocketed either. Timer had also been accidentally adjusted forwards causing the plants to be watered during darkness, watering was also set for 2 hours+ at certain times. Not the helpers fault as they're used to digital/programmable timers, must have accidentally hit the mechanical timer nubs while unplugging the pump for P.H adjustment. Cut affected growth off and topped both due to top growth being affected. Should bounce back within the week. 22/07 - Started moving fan leaves to expose branches to light yesterday, growth doesn't seem to have been stunted too much, branches have started rising above the fan leaves and general wideness of plants has increased. #2 stinks for a plant in veg, has a very pungent smell that's immediately noticeable when entering the tent, very compact and bushy growth compared to #1, #1 has the typical plant smell. Have also decided to let the P.H ride between 5.8-6.4, they seem to be more responsive and generally healthier to the higher end of the P.H scale. #2 is definitely more indica dominant while #1 is more hybrid dominant, definitely see #2 yielding some premium flower, just need a little more stretch and recovery from both before the switch to flower. Was planning on 4 weeks veg, but may have to let them go for another week or two in veg. Not sure if I'm liking the DE globe, growth so far is extremely compact and short, I'm used to having taller plants by this point. Some input would be appreciated. feel like a DE setup is more suited for an open space grow where the light can be mounted higher. Previous grows I have used two 400w globes, one MH and one HPS in a tent. Where as open grows/whole room I'm used to 600w HPS/MH combo, first time playing with led's during the whole process as well, only used to use a led for the seedling stage and then transfer to HPS/MH. 24/07 - Defoliated #1 a little and began LST, both have bounced back somewhat since the 21/07. Turned the DE ballast back down to 60% (lowest it'll go). Read into daily light integral, found even with the DE ballast turned down to 60% I'm still giving them too much light. Will adjust lights to 18 hours tomorrow when I change the water. May lower grow nutrients slightly and add a small amount of Bass Potash, lower leaves are indicating a potash/phosphorus deficiency, could be related to the P.H being adjusted too low but seems to be continuing with the P.H at 5.8-6.4, also unsure on Cyco nutrients. As I've said previously I'm used to Canna nutrients which seem to be a well rounded range of nutrients, only used cyco a few times in the past and can't recall on how good is was. Planning on defoliating #2 and low stress training it tomorrow after I've ran some plain water through the media. Thank you to everyone who replied to my question 👍

Just wondering if such compact growth is normal with a DE globe, used to having growth a lot higher by this point, have had the ballast turned down to 60%, until this week (read week 4 comment for details). All previous grows I have used a mixture of single ended HPS and MH

with that bulb you need roughly 50w/sq foot in flower 12/12 schedule if i recall... so you need 2/3rds of that if running 18hours in vege... if you haven't been 'near' that estimate, even easier to eliminate or blame the light forthe cause. if it was picked out to fit the area of coverage for a 12 hours of operation, then you need 66% of that for 18hours of operation. Read up on daily light integral. it's teh proper way to measure this stuff... not watts.

Both responded well to a medium amount of defoliation, will continue with it over the next week, hopefully by either the start or end of week 6, they'll be ready to flip over to flower. 28/07 - Further LST and defoliation to #1. Started LST on #2 and further defoliation. 30/07 - Further defoliation to both, only a light defoliation this time, along with tying branches down more. #2 is even more smelly again, smacks you in the face as soon as the tent is opened, quite surprised by how much it stinks already. May have to pick up another carbon filter and fan before mid flowering. 31/07 - Removed rope ratchets from HPS fixture and secured directly to top tent support, gained an extra 10cm of space between the globe and plants. 01/08 - Going to push them until the end of week 6 to begin flowering, with raising the HPS fixture and the defoliation on both, I'm hoping for a little more branch development and stretch before then. Will continue with LST and defoliation through week 6. Aiming for at least 300g off both of these.

Week 2 Bloom, changing reservoir water tomorrow, going to add a little grow nutrients due to slight nitrogen deficiency since switching over to the bloom nutrients 16/08 - Ended up saying fuck it and did some defoliation, too many bud sites were being covered 17/08 - Installed an extra fan venting into the roof, humidity was getting too high. Humidity now riding between 41%-53% instead of 56%-68% 22/08 - Got a fair bit of wind burn happening on the outer side of the plants where the fan is positioned, even with the fan on the lowest setting. Would be ideal to have it further away from the plants but currently it's as far as way as possible. Upped the DE light to 75% with the extra ventilation, temps now riding between 22-25 degrees celsius, temps were getting a bit low with the light on 50%.

Week 4 Bloom 31/08 - Mass defoliation day, #1 was suffering from the amount of leafs it had, #2 was not as bad, has filled its own structure out nicely and outgrown #1. Flushed and changed water. Upped the liquid potash. Added a tiny bit of CMX due to #2 showing a slight magnesium deficiency. Switched from PSI to cyco silica due to running out of PSI. Humidity and temperatures have been near perfect, 28-38% RH and 20-25 degrees celsius, extra exhaust ventilation helped a lot.

Week 5 bloom, starting to smell a lot more, each are bringing out there own smells, #2 smelling a lot more skunky compared to #1, #1 has a more sweet/tame smell. Changed water, removed CMX from rotation, will add later in bloom for the few final weeks 09/09/24 - Finally figured out my camera settings, whoops. Photos will look much better from now on. Plants are building frost and stink very quickly, very happy so far.

This is definitely one of if not the best looking grows I've done, trichome density is insane. After reading reviews on this strain after purchasing and seeing people say it's a beginners strain my expectations were low, but it's definitely one of those strains where if you get it dialed in, it's up there with any other strain. Smell has gotten incredibly intense, punches you in the face as you open the tent, #2 has that O.G skunk smell while #1 has taken on more of a floral, cheese smell. Definitely impressed, can't wait until I'm able to test this stuff.

Neither look ready still, #2 looking close, amber trichomes starting to show up on some flowers. #1 definitely still has a week or 2 left, pistils haven't stopped fattening, plus minimal retention and browning of stigmas, trichomes are still majority clear. Smell has increased from both, distinctive difference between the two in both smell and looks, find it weird as #1 looks like a fat indica while #2 looks more of a hybrid, from observation of structure and formation I thought #1 would be done first.

Estimate #1 will yield more then #2 #1 final dry weight: 351.8g, 12.5 ounces 625.7g total off both plants #2 has better bag appeal, smell is very floral and piney. #1 is not as nice looking in appearance but takes the win for smell, has a strong skunk smell, get a whiff of cat piss whenever the jars are opened as well. Was very prevalent in the final week of flower, kept thinking the cats had got into the room and peed somewhere. Overall happy with the results.

*Edit - this is actually week 17, didn't realise I put the prior week as week 17. This plant just doesn't seem to want to finish, trichomes are still majority clear, let's say 60/40 clear to cloudy, bud structure on this one will be much better compared to the last, might have to run it another week or two to get a 60/40 cloudy to amber trichome ratio. This one smells much more stank, the one I harvested already smells more fruity compared to this. On a complete flush now, last week I let the residual nutrients flush into the reservoir so the plant could feed off that (1.4 EC). Now sitting at 0.6 EC, water quality has gone to shit since it's gone into spring/summer, need to invest into an R.O system

Roughly 50/50 cloudy to amber trichome ratio, thought now would be the best time to harvest, wouldn't of been able to during the next week. Lots of purple in this one, I underestimated it very large buds, forearm sized, extremely impressed with this one, smell is vastly different to the other one
