I brought a few bottles of good wine from Italy to celebrate the good harvests with friends. This evening, we'll be opening a nice Valdobbiadene prosecco to celebrate this harvest, which is a feast for the eyes: LA KUSH CAKE by Zamnesia -
We're talking about a California-caliber strain in every way, beyond the name: resin, flower firmness, and a full Kush Mint style are all present and clearly visible, giving the buds a truly Californian feel. Only Snoop is missing because he's in Italy for the Olympics.
We have spectacular dark foliage at the end that literally makes my eyes go crazy with joy; I couldn't stop taking pictures, I can't stop looking at the photo and video.
The plant looks a lot like the Black Diamond in that magnificent dark phenotype I found, and also like an epic Runtz pheno I recently had, all documented in the diaries. If you want, have fun looking for them.
I can't help but think of and mention the legendary King's Tart by Greenhouse, which was hybridized from LA Kush Cake, and when my friend Gabriele sent it to me for the first time, telling me it was special because it was hybridized with a super Californian...
I'm truly embarrassed by its beauty, like when a beautiful girl talks to me and makes me blush. And I have to tell you, it's not even the best; there are two more epic ones on the way.
Maturity - The pistils have looked super ripe for a long time, especially the top ones, which are very red, and we're still over 90%.
The trichomes are roughly 30% amber, 50% cloudy/milky, and 20% transparent, more or less naturally, but I think it's perfectly fine; it looks super ripe.
The flowers are all of the highest quality, and the yield is average. They aren't giant, but they are firm and very firm.
The overall shape of the plant is truly splendid. It was harvested correctly at the right time, naturally.
Techniques chosen: As mentioned, the plant was left to grow freely and beautifully.
We went 100% organic and 1000% Plagron, as always.
The soil we chose is the recently launched Plagron Bio LightMix, which will allow us to start with more gradual and reliable watering, without the sudden changes that liquid fertilizers can cause. A week of soil is sufficient, so don't overdo it.

Poor babies! They've definitely had a rough start. I'm fairly certain now the issue has been too much moisture in the soil. I believe there are a few factors that have had an impact:
1) Obviously, giving them too much water. In the first week I gave 90ml into their 1 litre pots over two waterings. I thought this was okay because the top soil was completely dry between waterings. Someone suggested that seedlings don't need additional water for the first 10 days so I'll try that next time
2) Feedback I've had is that my soil mix is quite heavy @ 63% soil, 25% Coco, 6 % perlite + 6% vermiculite. In future I'll increase the perlite portion to about 40%
3) Also, I just noticed that the plastic pots I'm using have very small drainage holes. I think this has caused moisture to accumulate at the bottom of the pot. Yesterday I pushed my finger all the way to the bottom of the pot and it is much wetter at the bottom than at the top.
So yeah, tough start. But they're still growing, albeit very slowly. I trust they'll survive.

Harvest Report – Blue Sunset Sherbert
The weed turned out absolutely phenomenal!
The colors were stunning – incredibly dark, almost black, with deep purple hues that really popped.
It was harvested at Day 80, with about 20% amber trichomes – just the right timing for a balanced effect.

Das Weed ist einfach phänomenal geworden!
Die Farben waren atemberaubend – richtig dunkel, fast schwarz, mit tiefvioletten Tönen, die richtig hervorgekommen sind.
Geerntet wurde bei Tag 80, mit etwa 20% bernsteinfarbenen Trichomen – genau der richtige Zeitpunkt für einen ausgewogenen Effekt.

It's just officially week 8 day 56 fron flip.
Been on 10/14 schedule this week too.
My select strain i kept clones of are very vigorous and u can still see some hairs on leaves. Also perfect buds. Early cut test makes u go in another universe. Both are sweet but the select one is mossy n sweet hint cheese maybe thats the best one. Other one is sweet af even before cure like skittlez but the shape n yield aint good foxy n small :( the other one has a taste that is rare and denser very long trichomes.
Anywho from here i givem non npk goodies then ro flush few days before chop.
If they are not finished b4 contest to mt taste, ill harvest like half of the branches or something....they'll get their pics and ad.

Hey guys :-)
First of all I have to say that all 5 strains I have in the tent from Amsterdam Genetic are beautiful genetics 👍 .
This week they were repotted into 8L fabric pots.
When repotting, 2 g of Green House Powder Feeding Bio line were added per liter of substrate :-) .
That's enough until the first flowers start 👍.
Watering was done twice this week with 0.8 l each.
Otherwise everything was cleaned and checked and fresh osmosis water was mixed.

Gave her 300 ml and she had a small run off.
Getting chunky in the stem now 💪💚

Used 300ml of the 5L solution.
I will be using these on water days from now on as they are advised to be used every irrigation.

Had a issue with leaf invaders this week, I have treated and am checking every 48 hrs so far seems ok and not progressive.
All plants look great, very healthy, one of the Overdose is way behind and due to space maybe culled at flower I'll see how she gets on.

I got busy and missed my week 2 of flower update. But here’s week three. This strain has been putting in work. The stretch is decent and I feel like they still have a little more stretch in them. I did a little leaf stripping but planning on doing a lot more in the next day or so. There is a decent amount of tops coming through the first layer of trellis. I’ll keep the girls happy and hopefully she’ll make me happy on harvest day. All in all no complaints about this strain as of yet.

Hello growers,
This week marks an important step in the development of the Pineapple Upside Down from Humboldt.
The plant has now been moved into the flowering tent. The main reason for this change is simply to give the plant more space and to benefit from better environmental control. The larger tent allows improved airflow and more stable climate management, which should help the plant maintain a healthier rhythm moving forward.
Even though the light fixture changed, the spectrum remains the same. The plant is still running under a 3500K spectrum, so there should be no real shock from a lighting perspective. Light intensity has been kept around 600 PPFD, which means the plant continues growing under conditions that are very similar to what it was used to previously.
Some environmental adjustments were also made this week. The VPD has been increased slightly to around 0.8–0.9 in order to encourage stronger transpiration and improve nutrient uptake.
Last week the plant showed a small slowdown in growth and overall vigor. The leaves were slightly droopy and the plant looked a bit less energetic than usual. After reviewing the parameters, the most likely explanation was a pH drift upward toward 6.2–6.3.
While this range is not catastrophic, it can reduce the plant’s ability to absorb certain nutrients, especially nitrogen, which could explain the temporary slowdown that was observed.
The pH has now been corrected and brought back down to around 5.8, allowing it to naturally fluctuate between 5.5 and 5.9. Since this adjustment is very recent, the plant will need a few days to fully respond to the correction.
Earlier in the week, the EC had been increased to 2.0 to test the possibility of a nutrient deficiency. Toward the end of the nutrient solution cycle, the mixture was slightly diluted with osmosis water in order to rebalance the EC and avoid pushing the plant too hard.
This week was also used to work heavily on the plant’s structure.
A topping combined with a strong defoliation was performed. The canopy was opened up significantly, removing a large amount of leaf mass to improve airflow, light penetration, and overall structure. It was not a light cleanup — the plant was trimmed quite aggressively in order to reset the canopy properly.
The plant originally had four main apexes, and each of those was topped again. This now creates approximately sixteen main growth points.
With sixteen apexes, the plant structure is now approaching the intended final architecture. From this point forward, the main objective is simply to allow the plant to recover from this fairly heavy pruning session, regain strength, and stabilize before any further training.
Over the coming days and weeks, the focus will be on observing how the plant responds to the pH correction, the environmental adjustments, and the recent structural work.
For now, everything appears to be back under control.
We’ll see how she responds over the next week.

August 4 - these seeds were strong growers, I grew out all of the seeds I got but only two made the cut as you will see. Turned out I only had one female after I switched to flower in week 9-10.
