Our beautiful girls have plant louses 😱 So yesterday we made a brew of garlic and sprinkeld all of the plants, also the ground of the growbox - after cleaning up everything. So we hope this works. Have anyone experience with the small green monsters? We would be grateful for some suggestions.

Gave a feed as had let them dry up a wee bit and am good for watering or should I say over watering so need to keep tellin maself less is more less is more also hav enuff feed to last so at least a know the plants won’t go hungry the amount a spent on feed n soil a coulda dun a 2 week shopping at Fukin marks n Spencer’s lol also spent 40 qwid on bio heaven they say it’s the coffee for your plants witever that means anyone who has used this product please comment n let me know how it worked for you even if ye were not impressed let me know

Another strong week here. The blumats are working well at this point so the girls get adequate water intake. They continue to develop and the fade has now started. Will be looking to chop some of them next week.

Week #9 of flowering is done, great week this week, still inching closer and closer to harvest day, all of the ladies except for the largest will start their flush today, I’d like to push that out to atleast 10-14 days if possible, this will insure I get a beautiful fade into harvest as well as mouth watering tastes and aromas coming off this flower, however with using final phase I’ve learned I can execute a proper and tasty flush in just 7 days if needed. Everyday I feel the smells are getting more and more intense becoming a hassle for my 4” carbon filter to keep up. Hopefully we continue to finish strong this last week or two! It will be exciting 😍

La formación de resina no para! Va a ser una amnesia con un color fantástico 🤩 El aroma empieza a pronunciarse más en la pequeña sala.. Nada del otro mundo no es muy apestosa. Con el riego por goteo en algunos puntos se ha formado pequeños espacios de sales minerales y algunas plantas han salido perjudicadas nada del otro mundo por que siguen engordando de buena manera! Teniendo en cuenta esto,la semana que viene empezaremos a aplicar solo purezym y calmag hasta la finalización del cultivo.

Bud sites/ pistils starting to pop through now ...really happy with how she has turned out in the end, learned so much from this plant I've become emotionally attached...and took 2 clones ...really hoping they take to (never cloned on my life🤞)

Looking great. Continuing to defoliate and un-shade some bud sites, but with a light touch. On 2/6 Top dressed: 1/2 cup bokashi, 1/2 cup build a flower, 1/2 cup fresh ground malted barley, 1/4 cup BAS craft blend, 1/4 cup alfalfa meal. Split this between the two containers. The worms are loving it and the soil mites are feasting.

DAY 2: Watering with 2.5L. Nutrients as in description. I have noticed small symptoms of underwatering and also little stress of heat. Therefore I just reduces light intensity from 100% to about 85% and moved the lamp a about 5cm higher. DAY 4: Recovered fully from heat stress and underwatering. Already noticed some small hairs so flowering just began! DAY 5: Watering with 2.5L of water. The pot was already bit light. After flip to 12/12 I have instantly noticed she needs watering 1 day faster then before. I also removed some yellowed leaves and hidden small branches which would not see the light either.

I dried them for 9 days and now they are in jars with bovedas ready to cure for 1 month. Very strong and sticky weed. I love it ! Another great thing : they are not hard to grow. Make sure you wont train them too much and they will be fine. Big and strong plants.

This week you could see the bud sites starting to really show :) Did some heavy defoliation but again you can't tell by the pictures Pheno #1 and #2 were growing so tall and were stretching every day it was hard to get the lights any higher. Soon they won't be able to go any higher. Feeding schedule stayed constant for most of the grow. See previous weeks

🌸 Lava Cake – Week 5 Flower Report 🌸 We’ve reached Week 5 of flower — such an important and defining stage in the Lava Cake journey. Both phenos are shining, evolving beautifully, and filling the room with life and energy. It’s a week full of growth, observations, and some lessons to share. ⸻ 🌿 Current Status • Both plants are looking healthy, vigorous, and branching strong. • White hairs (pistils) continue to thicken and spread — the first signs of real bud-building. • Leaves show some spots, likely a touch of CalMag deficiency. This is not uncommon at this stage, as the plants’ demands for calcium and magnesium rise sharply during heavy metabolic activity. To support them, I’ve kept the full nutrient recipe steady this week and reintroduced Aptus All-in-One Liquid to strengthen the nutritional foundation and bounce them back quickly. ⸻ 💧 Nutrient Recipe (Week 5) • Aptus Regulator – cell wall support & stress resistance • Aptus CalMag Boost – to address spotted leaves and support photosynthesis • Aptus All-in-One Liquid – reintroduced this week to balance the base nutrition and help recovery from early deficiency signs • Plagron Power Buds, Sugar Royal & Green Sensation – pushing bud development, resin, and flavor complexity ⚠️ Note on feeding adjustments: This week we removed Top Booster from the mix. While it’s a great stimulator during certain flower stages, running it alongside Power Buds, Sugar Royal, and Green Sensation risks overlapping too much PK. Too much of a good thing can cause stress, salt build-up, or nutrient lockouts. By keeping the recipe focused and balanced, the Lava Cakes can thrive without overload. ⸻ 🌡️ Environment • Temperatures: Lower this week (relief!) thanks to cooling efforts. • Humidity: Still running a little high, sometimes hovering beyond the ideal. • Airflow: Two 6-inch exhausts + intake, all carbon filtered. This, along with fans inside, should keep the air moving and avoid stagnant moisture pockets. ⚠️ Note: Higher humidity at this stage can invite mold or mildew risks, but with strong airflow and constant air renewal, we’re reducing the chances. This isn’t just about correcting deficiencies — it’s about preparing them for the heavier bloom demands to come. With lower temperatures, steady airflow, and a carefully tuned recipe, the girls are thriving. Every day brings more white hairs, more structure, and more anticipation for what’s ahead. ⸻ 🔬 Science Spotlight: Nutrient Antagonism One of the biggest hidden challenges in mid-flower is nutrient antagonism — when too much of one element blocks the uptake of another. • Excess phosphorus (P) and potassium (K) (often from bloom boosters) can interfere with calcium (Ca) and magnesium (Mg) absorption. This can show up as leaf spotting, rust marks, or weakened stems even if those nutrients are technically present in the soil. • By removing Top Booster this week, we reduced the PK load and allowed CalMag supplementation to actually reach the plant without being locked out. • Balance always beats excess. The goal is steady, accessible nutrition, not maxing out one element. This principle is key to avoiding deficiencies during bloom: feed enough, but not too much of any one thing. ⸻ 🔬 Trichome Spotlight If you look closely at the close-ups this week, you’ll notice the first tiny crystals beginning to coat the flowers and nearby leaves. These are trichomes — microscopic resin glands that play a central role in the plant’s defense, flavor, and potency. ✨ What are trichomes? Trichomes are specialized structures on the plant’s surface that produce and store secondary metabolites: • Cannabinoids (like THC, CBD, CBG) • Terpenes (the aromatic compounds that give unique smells and flavors) • Flavonoids (contributing to color, taste, and subtle effects) Essentially, trichomes are the plant’s biochemical factories. 🌿 Why are they appearing now? In early flower, the plant begins to shift its energy from vegetative growth to reproduction and protection. Trichomes serve several evolutionary purposes: • Protection from UV light – the resin acts like sunscreen. • Pest deterrence – sticky, bitter compounds discourage insects. • Moisture regulation – resin helps buffer against stress. That’s why, right as buds begin to stack, you see an explosion of these glittering glands. 🔮 What to expect as they develop? • Density will increase week by week, eventually frosting the buds and sugar leaves. • Color will change: clear → cloudy/milky → amber. These stages are often used to decide harvest timing. • Aroma will intensify as terpenes concentrate, bringing out Lava Cake’s dessert-like profile. 🍯 The chemistry inside • Terpenes – molecules like limonene (citrus), myrcene (earthy), and caryophyllene (spicy). They don’t just shape aroma; they influence the entourage effect, modulating how cannabinoids feel. • Flavonoids – often overlooked, but they add subtle notes to flavor and can have antioxidant properties. • Cannabinoids – still forming now, but ramping up in mid-to-late flower. 🌸 Why this matters Seeing trichomes appear in such numbers this early is a sign of plant health and genetic quality. Very easy strain to grow. I grew the White Critical Express previous to this grow, I really liked it and wanted to try growing an Autoflower so I went for the Critical 2.0 and it was worth the grow.

First time grower, criticism will be well recieved😀 Two plant ebb and flow setup in a 3x3 as a test run Top feeding until I can afford the rest of my setup🙄 Started seed in water balanced to 6.0 Sat. Feb. 29th Tap roots within 12 hours, directly into pre soaked rockwool cubes. Broke the surface march 3rd. Began 1/4 strength micro, grow, bloom and stress relief Using very hard water for the next couple days, roughly 450 PM out of the tap. Ro system to be installed march 6th Ro system now installed. Start of week 1 will be Saturday the 7th of March. Day 2: Turned the light down to roughly 50%, instead of raising it, due to the fear of light burn. Will look into it soon. Plants seem to have recovered after I decreased the light intensity. Fan and filter purchased. Alternating flush and feed cycles 12 hours apart to keep salt sats down. Day 3: Bumped light intensity back up to roughly 75% of the ts1000's capability or 700 "light units" from a cheapy 3way meter. Adding as much co2 as I can through baking soda and dilute phosphoric acid. Day 4: Exhaust fan with climate control installed March 10th Day 5: Girls exploded now that I have my salt build up figured out . Day 6: Light back up to 100% Day 7:little droopy on the one plant, gonna let them dry out a day Setup should be complete for start of week 2.(actually sick right now and having trouble getting supplies) Still need a flood table setup.

Hey growers! First, I harvested the foxtailing one, its drying now and will be used for making butter or oil. The rest of the plants will get one more week of clean water and, in 4 days, Im turning of the light. They will get 48h of darkness and then I will cut them down. Cant wait, it smells amazing, full of crystals and sticky as f***. Cheers!
