We have been in bloom since around Feb. 29th/ Mar. 1st. Everything looks wonderful. I've read a lot that automatics don't like repotting and defoliating at all, but I listened to my "green thumb" and took away some big leaves and relined my ladies about 5-7cm. So they are a little higher. I carefully removed the soil to the clay balls and put some new soil between. I really hope they don't explode because of this. Either I set my filter about 30-40cm deeper. So I have a better control of the humidity. That's all that comes to my mind right now. I'm really excited to see what comes out of this.

She is still filling out her bud sites and the buds have grown considerably so in my case she seems more of a late-bloomer, she is covered in trichomes and smells like exotic fruit. Removed some more leaves, she had some more humid areas that could go moldy. Started only giving plain water since a couple of days. The previous time with the final shot of perma tea. She is clearly ending her run and my guess is that the soil still has high nute level, coming days will start flushing with more water I don't know if I can give her days of darkness since shell probably go first. Room setup rundown, examples of bud, et al in pictures... Seedlings/Clones lights - Viparspectra XS1500. Vege lights - Mars Hydro FC-4800 Flower Lights - 650w 3400K 1900umol/s PAR, (3) 226w DIY 2900K 630umol/s PAR (678w and 1890umol/s), Substrate - 50/50 sphagnum peat moss and vermiculite in 5-gallon pots Climate Control - Luckily, the lights, winter and normal furnace use all equate to a decent temperature, though a bit on colder side in in vege phase, sadly. Humidifier is needed early and later a dehumidifier is needed when canopy develops. I only grow in the winter months. Irrigation - do not use the emitters in this diary. They suck a big fat dick to skip a line to suck a bigger dick. The 1-gallon pots fit well under the FC4800 in a 4x4 tent until day 21 after sprout. I plant 150% or more of what i need, so i can kill the weak without concern. The goal is for every plant that makes it to the 5-gallon up-pot being capable of producing a minimum of 160 grams with a maximum of a 35-40 day vegetative phase. Third up-pot is into 5-gallon nursery pots and now under the 3 DIY lights and the 650W light in the big tent for a couple more weeks of vege. An irrigation system in the big tent saves a lot of time. One scrog for training and another for support, just in case. Reverting back to a more systematic approach to canopy composition moving forward. About 2.3 colas per sq ft and 8 primary colas per plant. Yields were similar when over-crowding and being less systematic, but the proportion of less dense nugs is greater and trim time is needlessly elevated because of that fact. I was very controlling about this the first couple years but got away from it for far too long at this point. Drying / Curing - Into mesh racks for 9 days. I wet trim and cut down to similarly sized buds for even drying. Temps are controlled around 68F and RH is set to 60%. Then into some 5-gallon buckets with gamma seal lids and (3) 2-way 67g boveda humidipaks (58% or 62%) in each bucket - 1 at bottom, 2 at top. Temp/RH probe confirms that they hold the RH steady at 60-63%. Cost - 0.33 cents (USD) per gram produced. This includes an accelerated depreciation expense for all equipment used, fertilizer, water, electricity for all equipment used, new filters and other yearly purchases - bti, ph strips, sticky traps, etc. I'm a finance guy, so these numbers are comprehensively accurate and purposely err slightly on high side of cost. The only facet not included is the cost of my labor.

Week 1 went off perfectly, purples babies reaching WEEK 2! 😍 PRESENTATION OF THE LADIES 😍 ------------------------------------------ The four plants are the same genetic. But they already have a different look, and I would introduce them to you :) 1) The Ugly - She have terrible first leaves. But she isn't late compared to the other. So I still believe in my Ugly! 2) The fatties - 2 of them grew wide leaves. It's just about leaves shape for now. 3) The solar panel - This one grew less wide but longer leaves. Regarding the Ugly, I must say that for the 4 seeds, I had to manually remove the shell when they sprouted. They all had their shell on after sprouting, and I don't like that. Probably a bit old seeds? For now, they share the same needs, and seems all happy. But this might change. I may even not be abble to recognize them, except if I cheat on them by putting labels on their pots ^^ 💧 WATERING 💧 ------------------ Luckily, the weather is offering some rains, and I been abble to put the ladies out under the rain during day 7 and 8. Not that long, they still got watered on Day 8, some hours after the rain. With feeding for the first time! 🍗 FEEDING 🍗 ------------------ First feeding. Used Fish-mix at 0.8ml/L. I plan to have a second watering in the week, but without nutrients. That's why I written 0.4ml/L in diary settings. If you know me, you also know that I like Fish-mix, but that I'm also effraid of it ^^ As foliar later during veg, it's an awesome products, easy to see that plants love it. But it seems verry powerfull, and need to be used carefully when given to plant. My rule is to limit to 50% of recommended dose. For now. Anyway, Fishmix right after a rain must turn on every form of life in soil I believe 😀 Even life coming from rain. 🏡 GROWING CONDITIONS 🏡 ----------------------------------- Starting an indoor session on the end of summer seems a good choice for me: - Some rains that provide me better water - I can put the ladies out if verry sunny, to save electricity/money - Perfect temps in the grow room. My house is always windows open. ​The growroom lightup in the end of the afternoon, when the day get cooler - Plants will flowering indoor during winter. I need heat during winter, so thanks grow room :D And cold air mean verry dry air! So reaching low humidity on the end of flowering will be verry easy! Pests : Nothing to report for now. I preferred to remove my net this week, to more easily access my plants and water them. I hope the branches will hold I cut a lot of leaf this week. I hear different opinions that say it's beneficial others not... Well down to 1. Had to harvest miss mullberry, on day 79 she was mostly cloudy and right amt of amber for me ill get back with dry weight...the compton qoolaid yeilded 3.39 oz, but this blutane girl i am impressed with the most still feeding every other water at a 1/3 dose and she eating every cola is huge and super dense and smells amazing. The video is blutane and trimmed is CQ.

End of day 41 flower and will be flushing both girls on day 42 flower. Overall the buds don’t seem as fat as it should be but hopefully during the flush they should gain some weight. I took a bunch of clones so those will be going to flower soon and now I have a better understanding of how to treat these girls during the flowering stage. Also popped two Blueberry seeds so I will have a journal on that soon.

Was a nice grow from seed to harvest in 96 days. You could harvest earlier but I waited for the 30% amber.

Switched to flowering this week (Nov. 1) and of course drained, cleaned and refilled the reservoir buckets with the flowering nutrient solution. Cleaning this week indicated more growth on the interior surfaces than normal so I also did a full H2O2 (3%) clean, with a good rinse afterwards. Also ran the air stone in a cleaning cycle for a few minutes. You can see that the discoloration from last week is gone, thankfully. Keeping the pH in check though I did let it slip with a few days in between readings there. Thankfully no substantial effect. I'm not sure I love the overall geometry of the plant... but it's healthy and has a decent number of colas forming so that's all that counts. Compared to the chilled and recirculated water system I used last time around, this is MUCH easier. My reservoir temps are a bit higher than I'd like but the Hydroguard is doing it's job and no issues so far. Fingers crossed it stays this way. Thanks for reading growmieverse.
