In my experience, this technique helps the plants transition more smoothly and accelerates their hormonal shift into flowering. It’s a method that has consistently worked well for me, and I encourage growers to explore different approaches to find what best suits their setup. The Power of Reds - Far Red & Deep Red As part of this transition, we have introduced far red and deep red lighting. These are turned on 15 minutes before the main whites and stay on for 15 minutes after. The reason? This simulates the natural sunrise and sunset effect, which helps optimize the flowering response and enhances overall plant development. The red spectrum plays a crucial role in promoting stretch and enhancing bud formation early on. Light Schedule - 11/13 Cycle From the start of flower, we are running an 11 hours light / 13 hours dark schedule. Over the years, I’ve found this lighting strategy beneficial in inducing faster flower onset, increasing terpene production, and ultimately producing better-quality fruits. This is something I personally swear by, but as always, I encourage others to experiment and see what works best for their unique environments. Still waiting on the replacement phone for my ph meter but I'm tired of waiting so I order one just to have as back up. Everything still looking good. I just wish I could have had my ph meter for the whole grow. Let me know what y'all think.

My Purple Kush plant is the smallest in the tent and hasn't been growing much. It's a classic strain, so I'm not sure why it's struggling. Maybe I just got a bad seed. I'm still hoping it'll turn purple and delicious, though! Okay, This past week has been absolutely fantastic! The weather has been incredible, and I've been able to keep the windows open almost the entire time. My plants are thriving in the humidity, and the VPD has been perfect. Everything just feels so balanced and in check.

And here we are facing a beauty that is maturing, you probably miss a week or a little more, I think I gather next weekend. The girls are almost ready for hearvesting. Because of that and to "purge" them from nutrients, this week I fed with molasses only and I'm going ahead with water only for the remaining days. I think next week will be hearvest time 😀

Hello Diary, Cherry Pie has completed its fifth week of flowering, as you can see in the photos, we are very close to harvest. I would say one more week and she will be ready. Given the appearance of Cherry Pie, it would be a shame not to take a picture of her on a black background. The flowers are now quite large, hard to the touch and sticky. Especially the main cola which looks impressive. The flowers are full of trichomes that are still transparent when viewed through a microscope. Some leaves have started to turn yellow which I attribute to her ripening. The smell is very intense at this stage, the whole room smells like plants when I open the grow box. Watering is still every two or three days. This week I stopped adding nutrients, I just lower the p.H. to 6.0 and water the plants with clean water. Here's what the previous week looked like. 13/09/2024 - Day 51. Watering. I prepared 9 liters of water, lowered the pH to 6.0 and used that amount to water all three plants on the farm. 16/09/2024 - Day 54. Watering. I repeated the same procedure as three days earlier. 18/09/2024 - Day 56. It's the end of the 8th week, taking pictures of the plants. That's all from me for this week, see you soon.

Day 49 from seed and we officially transplanted the girls were showing signs of nute defiency and have clearly outgrown their 1gallon veg pots. I used dynomyco for the transplant shock and will wait 48 hours before flipping into flower and placing a trellis net over the plants tucking all leaves below it. My soil mix for the first 4 weeks of flower is Dr. Earths 4-4-4 all purpose and dr earths 3-9-4 bloom 50/50 mix at 3tbsp/gallon.
