The ladies had another great week, I got the Durban Nights, Red Hot Cookies, and Sundae Driverr's second toppings completed on day 26, and I got the second toppings done on the Green Crack and Bubble Runtz on day 27. Right now I have 4 mains on each plant, and I will top each one this week, probably in the next 3-4 days which will leave with me 8 mains. So the mainlines will be completed during week 5, and I plan to flip to flower around week 7. I am still seeing a couple holes on the leaves of the Sundae Driver, but I have treated her twice with neem oil and I don't see any new holes since the last application and I can't see any bugs even with magnification. I am still not sure if it was a bug issue or just a genetic thing. Either way I am not too concerned at this point because they all seem to be very healthy. I am still feeding GH nutrients, silica, cal mag, and maxi grow. I will transition to flower nutrients approximately one week after flipping to flower. I have found that it is important to continue feeding plenty of Nitrogen through the stretch. The only way I would transition sooner is if I was running out of vertical space. Still very pleased with the Spectrum X from Medic Grow. I am running her at 69% and the plants seem very happy and healthy. The heat and humidity are finally letting up in my region so it is nice to be able to open some windows and drop the temp outside the grow tent. I ended up separating the grow diaries because they were growing at two different breeds and I germinated at two different times so I gave the papaya cookies it’s on especially since it’s going through flowering at the time I adjusted my LST training and I’m probably gonna defoliate within the next week.

31 Aug. I start the third week of my autoflower. The plant is growing well, but I noticed small yellow spots on the leaf tips, which seem like a mild calcium deficiency. This is probably due to the fact that so far I have been giving water with a slightly low pH, around 6, while the ideal range would be 6.5–7. At the beginning, to lower the ppm of the tap water (which was around 211 ppm), I mixed it with demineralized water. This brought the ppm down to about 109–140, making it harder for the plant to absorb the available calcium. Additionally, the soil I am using, Biobizz Light Mix, is lightly fertilized but does not contain enough calcium to correct this small initial deficiency. For this week, I will not add any fertilizers. I simply want to raise the pH to 6.5 and use water with higher ppm, so the plant can better absorb the nutrients already present in the soil. The lamp is positioned about 35–36 cm from the plant and so far there are no burn issues. Temperatures range between 25 and 30 °C depending on the day, while humidity in the room stays between 40–60%. The humidifier is always on because I keep the window open, but the dehumidifier is not being used, as it is not necessary at the moment. I also have a new oscillating fan arriving to replace the current fixed one, and I’m waiting for a regulable extractor (90–145 m³/h), which will allow me to control the air perfectly during winter if needed. This week my main goals are: Increase the water ppm without overdoing it Adjust the pH to 6.5 Keep observing the plant without adding any fertilizers Everything else seems fine and growth is regular. With these corrections, I expect the new leaves to grow healthy and free of spots. ==UPDATE 31/08== To control the calcium deficiency, I will administer an eggshell solution until I reach 300 ppm (I will boil some eggshells and administer the solution in tap water).

My Sticky Rice plant is still on the smaller side, but it's got a really strong smell, and I love the look of its leaves. It's been a challenging week with the constant rain and ridiculously high humidity. Keeping things dry indoors has been a real struggle. Despite the weather, I managed to flip all my feminized photoperiod plants to flower this week. I'm hoping the switch will go smoothly, but with this humidity, it's going to be tough.

Haze sisters are looking lush. Masses of vibrant fresh clean growth, though no sign of buds yet, as we enter second week of 12/12 light cycle and first week of PK boost feeding. This week, chopped away a lot (dozens) of shoots lower down the plants, leaving around 6-8 main stems. Daily feeding increased markedly: well over a litre of water, 5-10 ml of Liquid Oxygen, 5-10 ml of Hydro Bloom feed, few drops of PH Down. Plus, once per week: 13ml of PK Boost, 13ml of Liquid Silicon. EC levels a bit higher now: 1400-1550 uS/cm. I've let the PH rise a little, usually 5.8ish rising to 6.2ish through each day.

Watching her get frosty as hell. Besides her great structure, the trichome production this girl has is insane. She would be a great plant to press.

If she keeps growing at this rate, she won’t stay a little dwarf for long. She’s growing really well and apparently tastes good too – at least if the snail is anything to go by. :) I’ve set up a drip irrigation system in the greenhouse and she gets watered twice a day. At the moment, she’s on a mix of Biobizz fertilisers.

Temps and humidity are getting up there and harder to control. Equipment is working harder to keep cool. Heatwave forecasted for next week:( Got old lights switched out for new Mars TS series:) Ladies might need to be watered everyday soon as they are taking a lot more every other day. Don’t want them to dry out to much. Added some mulch to help with the top layer from drying right out between waterings. Want to keep the top alive and not die off as the sides of the pot also dry up and really only the centre stays healthy between waterings. That’s why I have now decided in future grows that I’ll being going with large pots, like 30-45 gallon and fewer plants, maybe 1-2 and grow longer for bigger roots!

Day 29 29/07/24 Monday Nice feeding today with De-chlorinated tap water pH 6. Gave her 300 ml and she had a small run off. Getting chunky in the stem now 💪💚 Day 31 31/07/24 Wednesday De-chlorinated water pH 6 today with Plagron pk13-14 5ml to 5L Plagron power buds 5ml to 5L Used 300ml of the 5L solution. I will be using these on water days from now on as they are advised to be used every irrigation. We'll see how they perform 💪💚 Day 32 01/08/24 Thursday Another feed today using de-chlorinated tap water pH 6, there now taking 300ml every evening. Day 35 04/08/24 Sunday END OF WEEK 😁 De-chlorinated tap water pH 6 today with Plagron products. 300ml each. Had a issue with leaf invaders this week, I have treated and am checking every 48 hrs so far seems ok and not progressive. All plants look great, very healthy, one of the Overdose is way behind and due to space maybe culled at flower I'll see how she gets on.
