She's nicely into flowering now!

*If anyone read through my GDP diary, this is going to be mostly the same stuff. So, sad day friends. I got spider mites and had to throw all my plants out. This is what I think happened: About 2-3 weeks ago I noticed some freckling on the lower leaves. I looked at it and thought it might be a cal/mag issue so I added cal/mag that week and went about my business. I saw it about a week later and it wasn't getting any better so I added more cal/mag. This continued for about 2-3 weeks until I finally took off a leaf and examined it under my microscope. I saw little bugs crawling everywhere and my stomach just dropped. My fiance did some quick research while I was panic ripping leaves off (see pictures) and she correctly diagnosed it as spider mites. I debated with myself and my close friend and ultimately I decided to throw all the plants in my tent away. I know that there are a lot of people who will say that there are things I could have done to make it to harvest but what it came down to is the people I take care of and personal pride. I consider myself a caregiver and I give away product for free that I am not going to use to my family and close friends. I thought to myself "Would you smoke this?" and when my answer was "ehhh, I don't know", I thought about how it would feel giving it away and immediately made the decision to destroy them. I take an immense amount of pride in my product and this hobby and if I am not going to stand behind it I would rather just start over. I grow from my heart (shout out to the Grow From Your Heart Podcast!) to help people and make sure my family is not getting unsafe product from sketchy people. To spray pesticides in flower that may hurt people and have little bug carcasses in there just goes against that in every way and is just wrong in my opinion if you are giving it away to others. If you are the only one smoking it then it is one thing to take that risk but not with your patients. I want my medicine to help people, not create or exacerbate health issues. It is also important to note that the mites had moved from my flower tent into my veg space and took over my auto berry as well. Damn things are crafty and fast. So that is why I made the decision to destroy them all after 3+ months of res changes, pruning, and manifolding on a slow vegging strain. Feel free to chime in with your opinion but I do not regret my decision. I threw out my new clones, mother plant, and auto berry I had on my veg side as well. Shout out to all the other growers out there that do the right thing by their patients. Caregivers > Cash croppers. For anyone curious, I removed everything from my tent and scrubbed it all with a 20% bleach/water solution. All equipment has been wiped down and stored in the garage away from any organic materials. I will give them until tomorrow (2 days) to air out and dry and then I will wipe it down again with bleach and wait another 2 days. Hopefully that will make sure everything is dead and will not come back next grow. That next grow should start in about a week. It sucks but sometimes it happens and you gotta be ready for it. Lesson learned. Never bring outdoor plants into your indoor garden even if it is after just a day or two. A bunch of people on here and Reddit warned me and I did not listen. Now I have learned the hard way and it feels like when your parents "told you so" haha. Thanks to everyone who stopped by along the way. Stay tuned for a new grow coming soon. Defoliated them a little. Nothing special. I try to keep at least 3 or so big leaves below the net jfust in case there is an issue with the plant where it shows the symptoms at the lower branches first. I believe this way I'm faster to diagnose in case something does go wrong with feeding. Oh yeah, trellis is about 30cm (give and take) above the pots

Week 10 Day 7 of flowering. 09/28: Well we are fully into flowering. Bethany is currently on her stretch. It seems to be slowing down. The gray spots ended up being some kind of deficiency. The spots ended up rusting, but as of late no new leaves have any damage caused by a deficiency. A few of the lower leaves where little light reaches have turned yellow. I gave her first feeding with Kool Bloom. Looking at mid-November for harvest. I can’t wait! 09/30: A little yellowing on the new leaves. EC levels in runoff were way too high. I waited a little too long before the last watering, so I’m sure we had some salt build up. Now that she’s bigger I’m going to water her more frequently. I also noticed some lower growth that was definitely not going to make it due to lack of light, so I decided to try out some cloning. I took two cuttings and placed them in plain bottled water to try and form some roots. Since she’s an autoflower and is currently in bloom, I’m not expecting much. But we’ll see.

Week 1 (23-29/01) During this week I will feed the plants with tap water and only 2 ml of Bio-Grow. I will also dimmer the light down to 30% because, being it at 20cm from the plants, I want to avoid burning them. The fan will be on 4 hours/day. By means of the inkbird thermostat I will control the heating/cooling system. Inkbird parameters will be: 23.5°C with -3°C for heating and +2°C for cooling. 23/01 D1: preparing the pots. A layer of gravel surronded by light-mix by BioBizz. Planted the three sprouts. 24/01 D2: added a support to each plant to avoid the fall due to the weight. Provided a glass of fresh water (25cl) to each of them. 25/01 D3: - 26/01 D4: watering day. Added 2ml of Bio-grow to 1.2l of tap water (approximately 40cl of water each plant). 27/01D5: - 28/01D6: watering day. Approximately 50cl of tap water to each plant. Powered on the fan. 29/01D7: -

I am dropping a Casey's Rollex OG by DutchFem Seeds. I lightly scuffed the ends, and dropped it in water. I covered her, and i will plant her in 24 to 48 hours, or as soon as I see a tap root start. This girl has been one of my favorites. Pineapple express is true to it name looking like a pineapple once it fades the yellow, and the green are very beautiful together smells gassy with pineapple busting out of every tone

All in all it was a great grow, alot of challenges alot the way but Im glad i stuck it out because It was 100% worth it in the long run. Buds are a very dark purple, full of trichomes, really special to look at with your own eyes, unfortunately my phone camera doesnt quite catch the beauty. Straight from drying and the buds taste amazing with their own unique taste and smell. I cant wait to see what its like after a 2 week cure! I reccomend growing this strain.

Another strong week. Away for a few days and he heat was back upto 28-30 so was a bit concerned but they came through fine with a heavy dowsing. Still stretching and lots of preflowers. Very happy that my first grow is still going and this decent!
