The Harvest Prelude: After a patient wait and 48 hours of darkness, the moment arrived. The Tropical Tangie Lego Ninja, standing proudly like a silent guardian, was ready for the grand harvest. The sound of each cut echoed through the grow space, reminiscent of felling a mighty tree. The compact structure of the buds was awe-inspiring, a testament to the ninja's disciplined growth. The Lego Ninja, like a stoic warrior, was then hung upside down, beginning a two-week drying ritual. Maintaining an ambient temperature of around 21°C and a relative humidity of 60%, this slow-drying process allowed the buds to retain their essence, preserving the symphony of terpenes and cannabinoids. The trimming phase unfolded like a fragrant masterpiece. Each bud, adorned with a glistening layer of resin, transformed the trimming process into a sensory delight. The zesty aroma of oranges enveloped the room, a tangible expression of the tropical lineage. The compact buds made every snip a careful dance, revealing an abundance of frosty trichomes. The moment of reckoning arrived with the scale's unveiling. The Tropical Tangie Lego Ninja, from a single plant, bestowed upon me 309 grams of dried medicine. Each gram was a treasure trove of cannabinoids, a promise of euphoria and relief. The sheer compactness of the buds translated into a concentrated potency that left me in awe. In parallel, the clones, nurtured with equal care, showcased a fascinating divergence. A twist in the tale unfolded as the intense oranges of the mother transitioned into vibrant tangerines. This unique expression, I believe, was a testament to the clones weathering a summer heatwave differently, bringing forth a distinct personality. The clones, resilient and generous, gifted me a bountiful 549 grams of pure joy. This now my keeper of the garden, an embodiment of the Lego Ninja's legacy. The harvest dance, though familiar, carried the nuances of tangerine zest, a refreshing twist that left me eager to explore its intricacies. Both harvests shared a common thread—their resinous abundance. The trim bin, akin to a treasure chest, gleamed with golden trichomes and fragrant joy. Sticky fingers became a badge of honor, a tangible connection to the resinous richness that filled the room. Shout Outs: No harvest report is complete without expressions of gratitude. A special nod to @DutchPassion_Official for crafting the genetic marvel that is the Tropical Tangie Lego Ninja. Their expertise paved the way for this epic journey, and I tip my hat in acknowledgment. In conclusion: As the dust settles on this epic harvest saga, my heart brims with happiness and excitement. The Tropical Tangie Lego Ninja has proven itself not just as a plant but as a living masterpiece. Stay tuned for the smoke report, where we delve into the true essence of this botanical ninja's legacy. Until then, fellow cultivators, may your gardens flourish, and your harvests be as bountiful as the joy they bring.

Week 16 From Seed | Lemon Cherry Gelato 🍋🍒 | Cure, Smoke Report & Closing Chapter Well… Here we are. Final chapter. And honestly, this one feels strange to write because somewhere along the way this stopped becoming “just another grow” and became one of those runs you genuinely remember afterward. First of all, as always lately, apologies again for dividing the reports into several parts. But honestly, with the amount of photos, macros, trimming sessions, drying observations, resin collection, curing experiments, root inspections, smoke notes, and documentation collected during this run… there was simply no realistic way to compress everything into one single update without losing important parts of the journey. And this final report deserves the full respect of the process. So for everyone arriving only now and jumping directly into the final week, quick recap: These Lemon Cherry Gelato girls were grown completely under 12/12 from seed. No long vegetative period. No giant training sessions. No extreme manipulation. Just allowing the genetics to express themselves naturally while documenting the entire process from seed to cure. And honestly? These girls delivered beautifully. Compact structure. Heavy flower stacking. Massive density. Ridiculous resin production. Loud terpene expression. Strong roots. Strong stems. And some genuinely beautiful medicine in the end. Across the previous reports we covered: - growth structure, - flowering behavior, - fading, - harvest, - drying, - trimming, - finger hash, - temple balls, - curing setup, - and storage methods. This final report becomes the real conclusion: The cure. The smoke. The chemistry. The experience. And the final transformation from plant into finished medicine. And honestly… This is where cannabis truly becomes complete. Because harvest is not the finish line. Drying and curing are not “extra steps.” They ARE part of cultivation. And I genuinely think many growers underestimate how much chemistry is still actively happening after harvest. Fresh flowers are biologically active material. They are still full of: - moisture, - chlorophyll, - sugars, - starches, - enzymes, - unstable volatile compounds, - and rapidly changing terpene structures. Drying removes free moisture slowly enough to preserve structure and prevent mold. But curing? Curing is where the flower actually matures. Where harshness softens. Where chlorophyll breaks down. Where terpene profiles settle. Where moisture equalizes internally. Where aromas stop smelling “green” and start smelling like the cultivar itself. Fresh flower smells like plant. Cured flower smells like genetics. And honestly… these girls cured BEAUTIFULLY. The smoke became incredibly smooth. Soft on inhale. Soft on exhale. Almost creamy sometimes. No harshness. No aggressive throat hit. No weird grassy notes. Just properly finished medicine. The terpene profile evolved into something honestly difficult to describe perfectly because it keeps shifting depending on the jar, humidity, breakdown, and even time of day. But if I had to describe the core experience: Sweet tropical woods. Fruits. Warm resin. Soft creamy backend. And this very specific pine-nut-like aroma. Not pine tree. Pine seeds. That soft oily nutty aroma you get when opening pine nuts mixed with tropical sweetness and woody resin. And honestly? If someone added pineapple to this profile, I would probably believe I was sitting somewhere in Hawaii or the Bahamas 😄 The aroma genuinely feels warm-weather tropical. Bright. Happy. Comfortable. And the effects follow that same direction perfectly. This is NOT sleepy medicine. Not couch-lock. Not knockout smoke. This is uplifting medicine. Euphoric. Social. Creative. Functional. Happy. The kind of flower that makes conversations easier. Music sound better. Nature feel more alive. Walks become longer. And random laughing suddenly happens for no reason 😄 Beautiful daytime or social medicine. Perfect for: - beach walks, - dinners with friends, - creative sessions, - gaming, - movies, - long conversations, - music, - and honestly just enjoying life a little slower. But definitely not the best choice if your goal is immediate sleep 😄 This one keeps the brain alive. Now let’s talk curing and storage properly because this became a huge part of the experiment too. We cured using both: - traditional glass jars, - and Grove Bags. And honestly, both systems worked beautifully when used correctly. Glass jars remain timeless for a reason: - reliable, - reusable, - visually satisfying, - easy for long-term inspection, - and perfect for manual burping routines. Meanwhile Grove Bags genuinely simplify moisture management dramatically by helping stabilize internal humidity exchange automatically when flowers are dried properly beforehand. And this is important: No storage system fixes bad drying. Curing starts during dry. That’s why environment matters so much: - stable temperature, - gentle airflow, - humidity control, - patience, - and avoiding overdrying early. Because once flowers overdry aggressively, you cannot truly reverse that damage completely. And yes… we went deep into the chemistry too 😄 Because the transformation happening during cure is honestly fascinating: - chlorophyll degrading, - harsh compounds softening, - volatile terpenes stabilizing, - cannabinoids slowly evolving, - oxidation pathways beginning, - moisture redistributing through the flower itself. Even THC slowly evolves over time depending on oxygen, heat, UV exposure, and storage conditions. Everything is chemistry. Everything keeps moving. And good curing is essentially controlled aging. Not old weed. Finished weed. That difference matters. The roots deserve a huge mention too because once the root balls finally came out after harvest, the entire watering behavior suddenly made complete sense. Beautiful root development. Healthy structure. Excellent substrate colonization. And honestly? You can usually understand the story of the plant better after harvest than during growth itself sometimes. The roots explain everything: - feeding behavior, - drinking behavior, - vigor, - recovery, - structure, - and overall plant energy. Massive respect to these girls. We also fully cleaned and reset the room afterward because post-harvest cleaning matters enormously too: - fans disassembled, - dust removed, - oils checked, - equipment cleaned, - surfaces sanitized, - UVC treatment, - airflow reset, - and the environment prepared for the next chapter. A clean room is part of prevention. And prevention is always easier than solving problems later. The finger hash and temple balls turned out beautiful too. Soft. Greasy. Easy to work. Extremely aromatic. The kind of resin that almost melts itself with body heat alone. And honestly, the photos documenting the curing stages of the resin are some of my favorite images from this entire series because you can literally SEE the transformation happening: - oxidation, - terpene movement, - grease development, - crystal structure changes, - texture evolution, - and the beginning of long-term curing. Living chemistry. And that’s probably the best way to describe this entire run honestly: Living chemistry. From seed… to roots… to flowers… to resin… to cure… to smoke. Everything connected. Final dry numbers also made me extremely happy: Plant 1: 304.5 grams dry trimmed flower. Plant 2: 163.5 grams dry trimmed flower. Final total: 468 grams dry manicured cured flower. And for a 12/12-from-seed run? Absolutely fantastic. Especially considering the compact size these plants actually occupied physically. Small footprint. Big output. Beautiful quality. Exactly the kind of run that teaches you not to underestimate genetics. And finally… Thank you. To Zamnesia for the genetics. To Plagron. To the LEDs. The gear. The jars. The environment. The tools. The platform. The community. To the old followers. The new people arriving now. The silent supporters. The lurkers. The growers learning quietly in the background. The skeptics. The lovers. Even the haters 😄 If somebody spent even a few moments following this journey, then they became part of it too. And of course… Thank you Mr. Baggy 💙😄 Still surviving somehow after another full season. This chapter closes here. But honestly… the cure keeps evolving. The hash keeps aging. The jars keep changing. And the medicine will probably keep surprising us for months. May 10, 2024 A new week and more flushing. Both ladies look really good. Tropicana C is way too heavy for her branches. It's good and bad. It's bad because they are flopping all over. And it shows how weak these tops are. It had to be my nutrient regimen. It's good because it shows the buds are dense and heavy. Tropicana Cookies has significantly stronger branches and can hold a lot of weight for the size of the buds. I could just be a tight fit with all the buds up and down each top. Who knows. They are starting to lean a little bit, but not too bad. Her buds are almost all purple top to bottom and the leaves are getting lighter and lighter throughout the plant. She's covered in trichomes. From what I can see, there's not nearly enough amber trichomes on the buds. Very soon though. I reactivated her wick system today. Her container was about half the weight as it was yesterday. Maybe now that it's not saturated anymore, the wick system will provide what it needs. We shall see later today I think. The lighting for some of this week will stay the same. I'm just waiting for the other 2 plants in the tent to start their flush. Then I'll drop the power down some. Most likely to a DLI of 36 mol/m²/d. We shall see. I'm also curious if it will actually do anything. They are autoflowers and light doesn't really mean much. Just as long as it's on and the right DLI, it should be fine, right? Anyway, I'll drop it when the flush starts anyway. I want to see what happens. The environment is looking a little better. The humidity is lower at 54%, but still way too high. At least it's below 60% finally. But 54% isn't much better. The temperature is pretty good at 76° during the day and 67° at night. I still can't get it down to 66° at night, so 67° will have to suffice. However, there is about a 10° difference between lights out and lights on. Grow System Environment: Temp: 74.1° RH: 54.2% VPD: 1.29 kPa May 11, 2024 Watering day! Last watering of the grow. I'll let them dry out from now on. It should be like 4 days before they are dried out. Tropicana Cookies looks so close to being done. Her fade is spreading and I'm guessing another 3 days? Maybe less. There is so much more purple now. Ite absolutely beautiful. She definitely will need a trichome check daily. Tropicana C has started showing purple finally. I'd give her another 5 days, maybe a week. I honestly cannot tell. I'll check trichomes tomorrow and every day afterward. Her buds are definitely getting heavier and some even look fatter. She's definitely not quite ready, but super close. The light power will be dropped in a couple days down to a DLI of 36 mol/m²/d. Not much else for that. The environment is still kind of a mess. The temp is fine at 75°, but the humidity is still high at 55%. I even got the temp down to 66°. So that's good. I'd like to keep it there for the rest of the grow. I'll also try to drop the temp during the day to help bring out more color. It will also help with keeping the temp low during the drying period. Grow System Environment: Temp: 73.0° RH: 53.6% VPD: 1.27 kPa Update: I ended up checking the trichomes anyway, and i think I know when they will be done. Just an estimate, but I think a good one. Anyway, Tropicana Cookies should be done in about 3 days while Tropicana C should take about 5 days. I may wait and harvest both at the same time. Or in between and harvest them in 4 days. Tropicana Cookies just needs more amber trichomes. They are almost all cloudy. Very few clear, but only about 5% amber. Tropicana C on the other hand, has a bit too many clear trichomes and no where near enough amber. 5 days should do it. 4 might be a little early, but that might be the only option. We shall see in 4 days. May 12, 2024 Not much going on today. Tropicana Cookies had a soaked bottom again, so I removed 1 of the wicks. So there should be about half the water going in now. She's definitely not thirsty. So very close. Anyway, she is fading quite nicely and I think she will have a whole bunch of beautiful colors. Lots of purple and some nicely fading fan leaves. Light greens, yellows a tiny bit of red. But not there yet. Tropicana C did not have a soaked bottom today. She never does. It just tells me she is still thirsty. Which also tells me she still has some time left. Maybe 4 to 5 days, but I may harvest her in 3 to 4 days. It all depends on how she looks. I got some trichome pics today. Just one for each plant, but they were the best I could get so there you have it. Anyway, Tropicana Cookies looks very close. More amber trichomes, more cloudy and much less clear. Tropicana C still has a bit too many clear, but definitely has more cloudy. Not too many amber, but more than yesterday. I still plan to drop the DLI down to 36 mol/m²/d in a day or two. It won't really matter, but it's still important to note. It's for the other plants in the tent. The environment is a lost cause. I can still control the temp, but the humidity is still at 57%. I have the temp at 77°, but I think I'm going to drop it down to 74°. I don't think the humidity will go up with the temp change. And if it does, back up to 77°. I'll probably get the 74° mark, so all good. Grow System Environment: Temp: 73.9° RH: 55.6% VPD: 1.25 kPa May 13, 2024 Not much going on today. I checked trichomes and I think I'm going to harvest when Tropicana C is done. She should be done in a couple of days. Maybe 3 to 4? Maybe less? I'm supposed to be harvesting tomorrow, but I'm not sure I will. I'll check the trichomes again tomorrow, but both are there. Just a little bit more. Not too much longer though. I have 4 more plants ready to come in like ASAP. Anyway, the trichomes on Tropicana C are mostly cloudy now, with a few clear and more amber. Maybe 8% to 10%. Just a bit more. Tropicana Cookies is a bit further with next to no clear trichomes and the same amber as her sister. Roughly 8% to 10%. She will definitely be done either tomorrow or the next day. So I think it makes more sense to focus mostly on Tropicana C for harvest time. I really don't want to harvest an indica too early. Not to mention, the purple is coming through really quickly for Tropicana C. Tropicana Cookies has almost all purple buds. The very bottom of the plant still has mostly green with purple coming through just a bit. It's more like pink than purple. But the majority of the bud is green. These are the underdeveloped buds. Not even worth of popcorn I think. That stuff will become concentrate. The light intensity will be dropped tonight down to a DLI of 36 mol/m²/d. Kind of pointless for the last couple days, but it needs to be done. The environment is driving me crazy. I can keep the temp at 74°, but then the humidity goes up to 58%. Much too high. Even opening the tent door only drops the humidity down to 52%. I'm going to need to drop the humidity in my room down to 35% somehow and maybe I'll get below 50%. This is ridiculous. Grow System Environment: Temp: 74.4° RH: 56.2% VPD: 1.24 kPa Update: I ordered a new dehumidifier for grow tents today. It should be here tomorrow. I'm guessing a lot of my problem with the humidity is my current dehumidifier. It barely pushes air. Cheap and well used. The new one is from Vivosun. A much more reputable company. May 14, 2024 Trichome day! Took a couple videos. The videos are kind of crappy. I hurt my back so I'm shaky. I removed the wick system completely from both plants. Tropicana Cookies was yet again soaked. Not as bad with just the one wick, but still soaked. Anyway, I pulled the wicks and emptied the reservoirs. Maybe that will help with the humidity. They should both be dried out in a few days. Just in time for harvest. Tropicana Cookies looks wonderful! Her buds are nearly black, with nearly black leaves. It's the darkest strain I've ever grown. Insane. She still has a day or 2 left to go. There's trichomes, but not enough. Hopefully 2 days will do it. Trichomes are mostly cloudy, a little bit of clear and not enough amber. Tropicana C is right behind her sister plant in the dark purple color. Her flowers and sugar leaves are getting super dark. Fan leaves are lights ing up, but not fading. I have a feeling she is going to need longer than I have been estimating. I also have a major issue with the side branches all around the plant. They are just laying down. Buds completely facing down. The branches are also super weak. I don't understand what happened. Back to trichomes. There's like 20% clear still and nowhere near enough amber. The lower light intensity doesn't seem to being doing anything, but I'm sure it's preserving the trichomes. Maybe even helping along the plants to finish up. The environment is still a nightmare. The temp is still fine, but the humidity is stuck at 60% again. The humidity in my room is higher than outside. I have the door open to help drop it, but it's not helping with the tent humidity. I have no idea how environmental science works. Lol. I wonder if I defoliate both plants a couple days early, what will happen. Wouldn't it put all of its energy into the buds and increase trichome production, like a last push? I'll research this and decided what to do by tonight. Grow System Environment: Temp: 74.3° RH: 59.2% VPD: 1.15 kPa May 15, 2024 Nothing going on today. Both ladies are about halfway there before completely drying out. I'd say another 2 days. I was going to harvest tomorrow, but I checked the trichomes and they still aren't there yet. Plus, I think the other 4 waiting to get in the tent still have time to veg before they overwhelm their containers. One of them is very close, but I don't think she will be a problem in the next 2 days. Plus I can always train her down. Tropicana Cookies is starting to lean more. Her branches aren't quite falling over, but they are definitely getting weighed down. She seems to have basically stopped fading. Still a lot of green leaves, but each top is essentially all dark purple. So this may be it for fading. Now I can only wait for her to ripen up. Hopefully 2 more days. I really can't push it that much further. Tropicana C is still behind her sister by a bit. Not much, but enough for me to be concerned about harvesting them together in 2 days. I guess I'll see how the 4 other plants are doing in 2 days. Maybe I'll wait 3. Who knows at this point. It's been 7 weeks, so it should be any day. I think the light intensity is making the smell stronger. Less intense light is keeping the trichomes nice and plump and filling with cannabinoids. So maybe it was a great idea to drop he intensity. The environment is still kicking my ass. I can't get the humidity to drop below 60% and now I don't have much control over the temp It's stuck at 73°. Not bad for this stage, but it's killing the VPD. It needs to be at like 1.5 kPa, but it's at 1.00 kPa. Super bad. No good. The night temp is still too high. The average last night was 69.1°. Much too warm for night temps. Maybe that's what is taking Tropicana C to turn purple. She's getting there definitely and should be the same color as her sister. They are the same phenotype after all. Grow System Environment: Temp: 72.9° RH: 63.0% VPD: 1.00 kPa May 16, 2024 The final day of the week and I think I need to harvest these 2 tomorrow. The 4 Sour Diesels I have in my 2x2 tent are starting to get bigger and will need more space very soon. Not to mention, they are in my 2x2 tent I use for drying. Tropicana Cookies is basically done. I didn't check her trichomes today, but all the buds top to bottom are purple. Lighter purple in the lowers, but those are popcorn and larf, so I'm not so worried. She also seems to have stopped fading. She's nearly dried out now. Probably tomorrow right when I need to harvest. Tropicana C on the other hand has her trichomes looked at today. Made a video and took a pic from it. Anyway, the trichomes are much more cloudy now and maybe 7% amber. She should go a few more days, but I still have the dilemma of the other plants. I guess it all depends on how they look tomorrow I guess. She hasn't started fading yet, but more purple is showing up everyday. That's another reason I think she could go a few more days. She still hasn't even begun to fade. She's about half dry, but if I have to, I'll add a half gallon of plain water tomorrow to see if she fades at all. I may have to harvest Tropicana Cookies tomorrow and then Tropicana C a few days later. I should be able to fit 4 more 3 gallon containers in the 3x3 with just the one plant gone. It'll be tight and I'll need to Tetris the shit out of it, but I think I can manage. One thing I haven't thought about until now is drying itself. If I have to harvest separately, the 2 to 3 day difference will mess up the dry for the first one harvested. I think? Maybe not. I have a plan. Instead of hanging them next to each other, I'm going to hang them on top of each other. So the first will be Tropicana Cookies on top and later in Tropicana C on the bottom. Theoretically, with this setup, I could control the humidity a bit better. When Tropicana Cookies is nearly done and needs the extra humidity for that even dry, Tropicana C will have brought it back in and I should be able to hold it around 60% for the rest of the drying time for both plants. Lighting doesn't matter anymore. It's served it's purpose and I could technically take one out now for a 2 day dark period before harvest. But if anything, I'll wait for tomorrow. I honestly didn't think about the dark period until now. Haha. Whoops. That may just solve problem entirely. I don't have to wait for harvest time. My other plants won't get too big and I can put them in the 3x3 more comfortably. I can also harvest both plants at the same time. Or, if I have room, I can place Tropicana C in the dry tent on the bottom while Tropicana Cookies gets hung up. I don't think there's enough space though. Anyway, I think the best course of action is to put Tropicana Cookies in the dry tent for a 2 day dark period and harvest both when Tropicana C is ready. Then I can see if there's a difference between lights all the way to harvest or dark for 2 days. Fun! The environment is the bane of my existence. The new dehumidifier is definitely stronger than the old one and more compact. I even left the old one in there as well. Both running at the same time can only drop the humidity to a solid 60%, but my room is 63% and I can't do anything about it. I also have the tent completely sealed off. I think it's helping to keep the humidity from climbing to 65% or 70%. I have the temp up a bit to 76° and 77°. Just to help a smidge with the DLI. The only thing I have an advantage with is my ari flow and spread canopy. There's 2 fans blowing around air and the exhaust. It should help prevent mold or bud rot, but with such high humidity for days, I can only imagine something bad is happening. Maybe not bud rot or mold, but the chemical composition of the buds? I dunno. I haven't learned that much. Grow System Environment: Temp: 74.8° RH: 62.8% VPD: 1.07 kPa

Some of the buds/ leafs were starting to turn brown. It seems like it was a bit past it's prime, I harvested on day 60 of flower. The strain was 56-63 days Jack Herer by pHenos Nursery. The trichoms looked ready, I did have some issues that I've noted in previous weeks but it smells amazing and I can't wait for it to finish drying and curing!

Start of Week 9 🙌 I plan to use fertilizer for bud growth from day 64 to day 70+... depending on when the harvest time occurs 😉😄👍 Started working with fertilizer today, every 2 days a mixture of 10ml per liter as long as the buds have not properly developed trichomes 😵 I hope this works 😵😲😱 Day 68 with fertilizer again

Grow report week 1: The seedlings Hello dear growers and growerettes, it is time for an update on my grow. My plants have successfully passed the germination phase and have become healthy and lively seedlings. They are all between 5 and 10 cm tall and have exactly the same stages of development, as far as their leaves are concerned. The seedlings I have selected seven different strains from Zamnesia and Barneys Farm, which are all supposed to be very tasty and potent. I am curious how they will differ and which ones I will like best. The strains are: Bruce Banner 3 Banana Do-Si-Dos Gorilla Zkittlez Frosty Nightmare Pink Rozay Girl Scout Cookies The seedlings have all shown their first two cotyledons and their first two true leaves. They look healthy and strong and have a nice green color. They all have a similar size and shape, which indicates a good genetics and a uniform lighting. The care I planted the seedlings in the Lightmix from BioBizz, which is ideal for the germination phase. I moistened the seedlings with a spray bottle. I watered the seedlings once with Bio-Heaven, Root-Juice and Acti-Vera from BioBizz, which are supposed to support the soil, the roots and the plants. I used these products in a very low dosage, to not overfeed or burn the seedlings. I mixed them with pH-regulated water, to achieve the optimal pH value for the soil. I grew the seedlings in a closed room without a tent, which I lined with foil. I used two LED lamps from Lumatek, which each have a power of 300 watts. I set the lamps to a height of 50 centimeters above the seedlings, to not irradiate or burn them too much. The outlook I am very satisfied with the result of the first week. My seedlings have grown well and have shown no problems or deficiencies. I am looking forward to the next two weeks, where it will already be time for the first transplanting and the ladies will be able to taste the pre-fertilized soil for the first time. I will fertilize this run only a bit late, even if I will use osmosis water this time. The soil from BioBizz is really great and can carry the first weeks well on its own. I will start fertilizing about two weeks after the transplantation into the final pots. The next weeks I will introduce you to my water filter, which works much better than the current osmosis systems, without waste water, much faster, almost 1 to 1 flow and also much better for the environment. I am looking forward to your visits and the next weeks. I will continue to provide you with information and photos and let you participate in my grow. I wish you a nice day and a good grow! 😊

All good :) Lamp on 100% works perfect :) A drastic drop of temperature by 3 degrees caused a slight deficiency of phosphorus. Terrible action! Some mold was detected in one of the strawberry gum bud - already erased - 1 of 4 casualty! :( Strawberry Gum isn't frosted like Glookies but it's very oily and sticky :) Older ladys bloom 41 day Younger ladys bloom 34 Caramelo bloom 29 day Cheers :)

Took a while to get there but OMG little note quick! So I started her in a 1 litre pot and stuck her on top of a 1.5L Pepsi bottle with the top chopped off! And she yielded heavily for that amount of soil a whopping! 224.63 wet weight so can’t wait to see what she holds dry because them buds were like boulders! So dense! I will be back to document her dry weight and then a couple of weeks later with the update on the smoke report! But I know it’s going to be so loud! She has deep pungent aromas like gassy and sweet! She’s going to be a powerhouse! She was a little over as today a banana developed but that just tells me “well done” timing just right! She’s a little long for my taste of auto but I do suggest anyone grow her she’s amazing! In the end!

Day 44 Flower 🌿🔥 Plants are doing great and are fully in the bulking phase. Buds are getting denser and you can see progress every day. Trichome production is increasing and the smell is getting stronger. After switching from Big Bud to Overdrive and adding Hammerhead, the plants responded very well. Only slight tip burn is visible. No major changes, just maintaining stable conditions and letting the plants do their thing. Each plant is showing a slightly different phenotype, which is interesting to observe: * The plant on the left has more elongated, slimmer buds and was the only one that dropped a few lower leaves after pulling nutrients from them. * The middle plant is currently my favorite – it has a nice compact structure and was the first to show some purple tones. It also showed slight “taco” leaves for a short time, likely caused by higher VPD (combination of strong light, higher temperature, and lower humidity?). After slightly raising the light and improving humidity, the issue stabilized. * The plant on the right seems more leafy, but still developing well and should produce nice buds too. Environment: * 25–27 °C day / ~20 °C night * 45–55 % RH Feeding: * Connoisseur Bloom A+B * Overdrive * Hammerhead (1 ml/L) * Bud Candy * CalMag So far very satisfied, now it’s just about keeping conditions stable until the finish. Let it grow 🌱 _ 44. den květu 🌿🔥 Rostliny se mají skvěle a jsou plně ve fázi nabírání objemu. Květy se pěkně zahušťují a každý den je vidět progres. Trichomy přibývají a vůně sílí. Prostředí: * 25–27 °C den / ~20 °C noc * 45–55 % RH Hnojení: * Connoisseur Bloom A+B * Overdrive * Hammerhead (1 ml/L) * Bud Candy * CalMag Zatím spokojenost, teď už jen udržet podmínky až do finiše. Ať to roste🍀

It has been another amazing week of the plants growing. I have been watching as the Fruity Freak leaves become progressively more fern-like, and ornamental as a result! Based on my Banizzle grows, I knew I needed to understand plant nutrients in a more meaningful way if I wanted these plants to thrive. So, I decided to get a soil test (see Ref. 1 below on how to perform a test) to understand what nutrients my plants needed. The report I received advised that I needed to add 200 lbs/acre of nitrogen, 150 lbs/acre of phosphorus, and 190 lbs/acre of potassium (see picture labeled Pic.1 (FYI you can't see these images unless you login to growdiaries)). I then researched what to do with my results (Ref. 2 helped), and I figured out that my nutrient needs of 200-150-190 fall close to a 2-1-2 ratio. I then looked at different types of organic fertilizers (see Ref. 3 and Ref. 4) and considered that I already had a 3-10-5 fertilizer (Vermibloom) on hand. I discovered Dr Earth’s Alfalfa Meal is 2-1-2 and includes beneficial bacteria and mycorrhizae (to promote healthy plant growth and disease resistance). However, I knew I would be low on nitrogen if I only used those two fertilizers. Therefore, I decided to buy some blood meal (12-0-0). I also liked that blood meal is more fast acting while the other two are more moderate. I hunted around for a solid fertilizer calculator and found an amazing tool from the University of Georgia Extension (Ref. 5). I entered all three fertilizers into the calculator, and it kicked out the exact amount of each fertilizer I needed to apply to 1 square foot (see Pic. 2). As I am using 10-gallon fabric pots (that can hold 1.5 cubic feet, but I put stone on the bottom and there’s space left at the top) I decided to use the one square foot application rate as I can always add more later, but I can’t take it away. Not only did I want to understand the nutrients I needed, but I also wanted to understand the structure of the soil (as it was not included in my test results). North Dakota State University has a nice page that discusses this (Ref. 6), and I performed a soil ribbon test (see Video 1) based on this information. I determined my soil to be medium textured (which is great), but I have seen occasional water pooling on the surface, suggesting that it may be more of a medium-fine. This means adding peat moss, coco coir, or other amendments might improve drainage (and plant hydration) and allow for roots to grow more easily. In the long run, I plan to use compost to enhance the soil structure and nutrients. I filled the bottom of my 10-gallon fabric pots with a ½” of pea stone to allow for drainage (Pic. 3). I then partially filled two 5-gallon buckets with topsoil from near where I will plant (but not in an area the roots will reach). I used a digital scale to measure the amount of fertilizers recommended by the calculator (Pic. 4, 5, and 6) and added it to one of the 5-gallon buckets (see Pic. 7). I mixed the fertilizers into the soil as evenly as possible (Pic. 8 and 9). I then poured a two-inch layer of non-fertilized soil, then peat moss, and then fertilized soil (in a roughly 2:1:1 ratio) and blended them together. I repeated this until the pot was full (getting additional soil as needed), and then I repeated the process for the other three pots. I set the filled fabric pots in my garage (Pic. 10) for two days to allow any upset bugs to flee into my garage instead of my house. I then moved the pots (wrapping them in a contractor garbage bag to prevent making a mess) into the room with the grow light. I placed a board on top of the fabric pots to insulate the plants (in their smaller pots) from the cold soil (Pic. 11). Once the soil in the fabric pots reaches room temperature, I will transplant. (Ref. 1) This video shows the method I used to take a soil sample. I didn’t have a field to test, so I took four samples from the area where I will eventually plant outdoors and blended them together. I then mailed my soil sample off to the lab, and about a week later, I received an email with a PDF of my results (included with my pictures this week). https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N9AwxmFxBwg&t=8s (Ref. 2) This video from the University of Minnesota Extension (many universities have agriculture extensions that can assist you with soil testing and growing information for your area) discusses what to do with your soil testing results: https://youtu.be/HYrkcfE62Pg (Ref. 3) This is a nice article that discusses organic fertilizer solutions: https://www.grow-it-organically.com/npk-fertilizer.html (Ref. 4) This article lists the NPK values of many organic fertilizer solutions: https://www.epicgardening.com/organic-fertilizers/ (Ref. 5) Many websites tout a fertilizer calculator…but this one is hands down the best I have found. If you scroll down to the bottom, you can enter any fertilizer type you want (and the cost, if you want). It will give you the exact blend of multiple fertilizers to solve your nutrient deficiencies (I included a snapshot of the solution I used in my pictures). https://aesl.ces.uga.edu/soil/fertcalc/ (Ref. 6) This is an excellent article that discusses how to evaluate your soil: https://www.ndsu.edu/agriculture/extension/publications/evaluating-preparing-and-amending-lawn-and-garden-soil
