Hello one and all , happy growing. This week I switched to bloom nutes and the girls have reacted well. The Shogun line up has worked a treat , with no issues since the beginning. There have been a few amputees ,as my mainlining adventures have taken me down the broken-stem-rabbit hole. As many of you know these are resilient creatures and have bounced back but not without a major loss of yield , come harvest. I’m at odds with myself as I find it almost impossible NOT to try LST/HST/ tying down etc. Something has to give and eventually I’ll have to be surgical with my treatment of my beauties. Everything must go!!! Day 66 can’t imagine the cheese, the gift, and straw to last much longer. Trellis was removed and you can really tell how heavy some colas are damn near uproots some of plants without the support. I needed to save my trellis ;). Anyways Skittlez in dark period ready to be chopped, tropical fuel is on day 3 of drying and looks to be retaining that “fuel” smell ( no woody buds here!) made some awesome canna butter from the trim of white widow. Day 49 I super cropped all the plants for the first time on the first day of the week. They had all recovered by the next morning. I've been doing some hand bending down too to keep them short as possible. No wires at all. Still havnt watered since day 46. Day 51. I watered and feed this morning with the nutrients listed in the diary. They took 4 gal of water untill they had runoff. Ph was 6.1 @ 71°F. Also defoliated plants B and D a tiny bit for the first time. I came back to the tent around 4pm and noticed plant B was 22 inches from the light again. (I raise the light about every 3 days to maintain 24" above canopy) So instead of raising the light again I supercroped plant B to match the hight of the other 3 plants. Later in the evening I checked on them and plant B had bent back up towards the light, mostly even with the rest of the plants now. Day 52. Plants looks good. Plant B recovered well again from the HST but plant C (the strongest plant so far) is starting to curl up on the edges of the leaves. I'm pretty sure it's over watering. I'll keep an eye on it. Day 53 Plants look really good so I tired the light up 5 more percent to 35% still lat 24", above canopy. Tonight I put the trellis net down on them and spreaded them out more. Day 55 Plants were starting to droop so I watered Plants A and C with just water and molasses pHed to 6.0 @ 71°F, and watered Plants B and D with half strength general hydroponics (late veg). Let the runoff sit in the pans for 3 hrs or so then I vacuumed the runoff out. While I was watering I defoliated plants A and C at the base ( leaves wernt getting any light).

What I thought to be a cal deficiency at first glance appears to be rust fungus or leaf septoria, but nothing rubs off of the spots, which confuses me. I freaked out and tore the hell out of the plant my buddy left on my doorstep, stripped all the freakin spotted leaves. I'm hesitant to toss it, dont know why, I did notice spots on 2 other plants, barely, bastard being one of them. Ill be keeping a great hawk eye on them, ready to pluck anything I notice with a rust spot or toss that one plant out of there if I see too much appear. I need to grab some neem oil as well. Maybe I shouldn't run the tent sealed anymore, as I think it could be a big reason for the fungus. I never let humidity get over 60 and I had pretty decent air movement, but they are squeezed in there. I'm freaking scared. Nothing rubs off these spots. My run off PH has been low which makes me think calcium still. Guess I'll do some big-time flushing. Flushed all with 6.8 water until run off reached 6.5, roughly 10-12 gallons each. I'll l feed them tomorrow. Usually, I flush around day 45. I was trying to see if i could get away without doing so, with that scrog n all. Whew, I was trippin out there there, after reading n shit I got thinking the worst, should've stuck with my original diagnosis. I'm sure they'll be ok.👍 Zipper broke off the tent the other night, so it's now "sealed" with a red blanket🤣

Not too much on the scale but the terps and the intensity of the smoke is great. Two very distinct phenos that makes it so much interesting to understand the differences between.

Daytime temperatures are sitting at 28°C, with nighttime temps between 19°C and 22°C. Humidity levels are kept around 55%. She's doing great and we can't wait to see her full potential!

Trichomes are cloudy, i give only rainwater now the past 5 days the runoff stays around 1000ppm so shes done eating for sure, i think this will be her final week. Buds are rockhard and smell amazing

The big day is here! 😎 Today, March 28th, 104 days (15 weeks) after germination, I have harvested my first indoor photoperiod plant. It has been an incredible challenge, especially managing it in the middle of a winter environment, but the results speak for themselves. 📏 Harvest Data (Wet Weight) -Total Wet Weight: 56.5 grams (15.7g + 40.8g). -Final Height: 40 cm of pure density. -Status: Rock-hard buds and an impressive resin layer. -Dry Estimate: I estimate that after water loss (60-70% less), the final dry weight will be between 14 and 17 grams, given how dense the buds are and the cold conditions we’ve faced. 🌡️ Process Summary -Managing a grow with lows of 12°C for my first indoor photoperiod experience has been difficult. I am aware that a climate control system would have been ideal, but the budget is what it is 😆. Despite the limitations, using lukewarm water for irrigation and controlling the lamp height were vital. This plant has been a great learning experience, and I am sure the next one will be much better, applying everything I’ve discovered during these 15 weeks. Now, on to a slow and controlled dry so the flavor is as spectacular as its look! I want to wrap up this diary by thanking everyone who has joined me during these 15 weeks. Your likes, and comments have been an extra motivation to pull this Critical through despite the cold challenges. It has been an incredible learning journey, and I couldn't be happier with the outcome of my first indoor photoperiod plant. Growing along quite well. Next year, bigger bags and better soil mix. Also, a little longer veg inside wouldn't hurt. Got buds starting on the three ATF's, Chemdog, Night Nurse, and one Viper Cookies. Still no signs on the big mother Lamb's Bread, which makes me wonder how big she's gonna get. Finally stopped being lazy and set up some support for them, since my training left them a little wild. Hit them again last night with neem as the little pests are back and munching away. Supposed to stay relatively dry this week, hoping the single application will last for a while. Continuing with TIger Bloom every other feeding, alternating with straight water ph around 6.

This was a very stressful week as there were too many variables at play all at once; even my camera refused to cooperate for the first few days. The freshly transferred plants were starting to droop and I was unsure if it was transplant shock, nutrient burn, or because of the incomplete grow tent. My first batch of nutrients were mixed into a gallon bottle and was weighed by a friend using his scale; this set was enough to last weeks. For this new batch however, I didn't have my scale and used the table spoon as my measuring tool; needless to say when my TDS meter finally arrived, both runoff and the remainder of the mixed nutrients read 2800. Fortunately my light setup seemed to be inefficient still and the plants weren't drawing much nutrients and only ended up with a very light burn on the older growth. All pots were flushed back to recommend levels and the light lowered until the lux values read appropriate. This week ends my daily comments and I'll stick to this end of the week format going forward.

D29 : Watered with 2L of the mixed nutrients (1ml of Fish-Mix and 2ml of Bio-Heaven), ph´d at 5.8 in order to try to fix some cal-mag possible nutrient deficiency. Lights will be staying at 80% until she is totally into flowering. Did some bottom defoliation as well in order to prevent further thrip problems. D30 : Well, today was a big experiment day. I was watching some people doing some different types of training and decided to go a little further with my experiences and do some new training. I defoliated her A LOT (hopefully I don´t stunt her), took out the nodes that were on the bottom and had no chance to become at least medium-sized buds. Rearrenged all her LST and now she´s looking naked and beautiful lol. Let´s see how she responds, as I said before, this is and experiment for me to learn more about techniques. D34 : I did some defoliation today, took out some leaves and some tiny shooters that had no chance to become anything at least medium-sized. Watered with regular 6.2pH water. She´s looking very very beautiful, I have high hopes for this girl :) ! Also rearranged all the LST.

FINAL WEEK OF VEG FINAL WEEK OF VEG! Ayyyye let’s gooooooo ! Got a second lollipop done on this girl about 2 or 3 days ago . I did a little damage to a branch that has taken longer than one day to recover . At the time of this update I have yet to check on it again after taping it up to see if it is still limp . I may lose that branch RIP. I decided to take the tape off my other branch I broke while stretching her down under the net a while back figuring it’s been enough weeks for that to scar over . She healed beautifully ! The last of the Mohicans are here ! My new untested ORGANIC base bloom nutrients have arrived via mail today . I have been holding off on positing this update until now 1. to get a good difference in growth 2. To avoid needing to repeat having to defoliate an ADDITIONAL time before flipping to flower . I’m going to do a defoliation light-moderate I don’t think a heavy one is needed but I am a little trigger happy when it comes to defoliation 😂. I plan to do one FINAL MAJOR DEFOLIATION AROUND WEEK 3 FLOWER to try and get an awesome HIGH bud to leaf ratio idk how I keep picking these strains with high leaf to bud ratios I’d like less maintenance as we all would right? Still haven’t figured out what I’ll do with these clones as I don’t want to flower them they’d be trash bud underneath this mother clucker. Don’t forget the new Timelapse I started 2 weeks ago to capture our 5x5 Cereal Milk by RQS Flower up! Lastly I decided against making more clones when I did this second lollipopping sinc so already don’t know what I’m gonna do with the few successful clowns I managed to make from the last experiment. I’m really hoping this resilient girl turns out to be a 🔥DANK PHENO THAT HAS SOME TASTY POTENT BUD bc having a few clones lying around already would be golden. I’ll leave it there. The stretch is now over and you can see that the plants are now putting all their energy into the flowers. These swell more and more and gradually the filaments start to turn brown. However, the trichomes are still mostly transparent

****** Week 8 Flower, November 7 to 13, 2020 ****** Hey Growmies......winding this run down........they are ripening this week and next.......this is the second week of flush. Lights are down and temps are down to mimic fall. Just lots of plain RO water this week......keep flushing out the media👍 One is growing spears......the other is growing bats😂👍 So much fox tailing that there will be a good mixture of trichomes at different stages of ripening.......should make for good smoke! Trichomes are continuing to come out more and bud swelling has continued,👍 That’s what I have for a quick update gang........as you can see they are by themselves in the tent now......these girls have more Sativa in them and taking a little longer to finish......better for me with trimming as well🤪😃🙏
