1/14: This morning, I did a foliar application of big bloom and fulvic acid, then about 5 hours later I watered them with about a half-gallon of rainwater each and added armor si, humic acid, endoboost myco/tricho, liquid molasses, and a bunch of cal-mag. Today, I also I wired up and mounted my new samsung sun board strips (660nm/730nm) and my Solacure FlowerPower UVB fixture. I'm running the deep red/far red bud boosters a few hours per day right now, but will run them for the entire photoperiod once I start flowering them. I'll run the UVB for 4 * 15-minute sessions a day for the full flowering cycle, and if they don't protest too much I'll increase each session by 5 minutes and evaluate again. Some strains are more forgiving than others and I've got 5 different strains in this space...so really not sure much time I'll get away with exposing them to the deadly rays without damaging them too much...😈 1/15: I received one of the rapid led/growmau far red initiator pucks today. With the placement of my UVB light, I'm realizing I'll need another far red puck to have even and intense far red coverage, so I'm ordering another with Prime delivery and waiting to start flowering until I receive it. I sprayed them down really well with ph adjusted rainwater tonight to rinse off nutrient build-up from foliar applications. 1/16: I'm really excited to try flowering under 14/10. I grew photos indoors on an off for 15 years before I semi-retired. If I added up all the additional flowering time I could have done through the years if LED technology existed, I'd have had an extra truckload of bud to smoke. I did another application of Axiom Harpin a|b Proteins this evening, right before dark. I'm expecting a big growth burst this week, leading up to the flower stretch. I really need them to trigger under 14/10 within 4 or 5 days🙏 ...if not, I'll switch to 13/11 and wait a few more days🙏😟..if still no pistils are poppin, I'll go to 12/12 and chalk it up as bad luck or varietal indifference to Pr and Pfr manipulation. 1/17: I fed each of them about 3/4 gallon of full strength veg nutes. This will be the last. I'm seeing calcium and magnesium deficiences here and there, so added some boomerang and heavy cal-mag-Fe along with liquid molasses, humic acid, and endoboost myco. Applied Techniques - Given the numerous requests from growers, we decided to show you what happens when you apply topping + Lst to autoflowering plants. It is very important to anticipate it as much as possible, autoflowering plants start flowering at about the 5th intenod, you need to anticipate that moment to give the plant the chance to vegetate as much as possible. In general, when you see that there are two good side branches, you can do topping, they will go into veg as much as possible and you will have a split plant, I have seen very nice results, especially in warm periods when the plant tends to vegetate a lot, in winter we could have a bit of dwarfism but with a lot of resin for sure. So I cleaned everything and cut at the top leaving only the main growth line, called Main Lining, the florets will be lowered during growth and the plant will eventually be like "split" in the main line with the various branches. On photoperiodic plants, however, we will do topping repeatedly, which is not recommended with autoflowering plants so as not to lengthen the times of plants born to finish in 10 weeks. Run-off got pretty high on the plants in the main tent when I tested it this week (2300ppm) so I flushed the plants down to around 900 over a few water events with half-strength nutes (~450). I think this, plus (mainly) the plants being too close to the LED caused them to throw some foxtails - particularly the middle plant (although I still think that spindly shit is also partly due to the bag seed pheno). Noob mistake on my end and I didn't realize until it was too late. Now the light is turned down and the run-off is back in a good range. It got high because my auto-watering halos were mostly running off the pots and not sinking in - this is because I filled the pots to the brim with coco (another noob mistake). Looks like I'm hand watering until harvest :) Big Mumma in the blurple tent on the other hand is still killing it.. Apologies for having to upload videos of the microscope - too hard to hold it still and press the button for photos lol.

The ladies are starting to stretch and flower. We also did a defoliation and lollipop session at the end of week 2 flower. Canopy and bud sites look good and are a plenty. Looking forward to next couple of weeks.

7/3/22 I was a little rushed today, and didn’t have the chance to take any new pics for todays log entry. 🤷 It’s not like I’m not going to add a bunch more photos later in the week. This week we’re starting with the Mid-Bloom, step 3 nutrients on our feed chart. I mixed two separate gallons to feed my 4 girls as usual. Each plant received half a gallon of water with the following: CALiMAGic - 2 ml FloraMicro - 4.7 ml FloraGro - 3.8 ml FloraBloom - 8.5 ml Floralicious Plus - 2 ml Liquid KoolBloom - 2 ml Each of the 2 gallons had a pH of 6.4, and wasn’t adjusted. My tap water has been exceptional lately! Each of the plants had plenty of runoff with the following pH level: #1 & #3 - 5.9. #2 - 6.1. #4 - 5.8 My girls are super tall, and have bodes all over the place. They are all developing nice pistils everywhere, and should each yield quite a bit. I’m looking forward to watching them mature! Happy 4th of July to all of you in the USA 🇺🇸! Independence Day!! Happy growing everyone! 7/5/22 These 4 Ladies are going to be the death of me, I swear! I know you all HAVE to be sick of reading about their growth, but damn! These bitches could be super models! I last measured them on 6/29/22, and was astounded then by their growth. Now, I’m just blown away. Since 6/29/22: #1 has grown 12 inches, and is now 55 inches tall. #2 has grown 11.5 inches, and is now 54 inches tall. #3 - 12.5 inches, now 49 inches tall. #4 - 14.5 inches, now 51.5 inches tall. I had to do some mild LST today. I tied a bunch of the branches on #1 & #2 today. Loosely, but closer in in order to improve stability, and open up space in my tent. Some of their branches have become so long that they are being pulled apart by gravity. I used some rubber coated, malleable metal poles to tie loose circles around branches, and then wrap the other end around the other branches on the opposite side. I also defoliated #1 & #2. It’s not pretty, but it seemed to work. I need to do the same to the other two, but time, and supplies didn’t cooperate. Enough about the maintenance. Let’s get to the feeding. We’re keeping with the mid-bloom nutrients mixed into a pair of gallons full of water. The pH of both gallons measured at 6.4. #1&2 share 1 gallon, and #3&4 share the other. Each gave back plenty of runoff with the following pH levels. #1 - 5.9 #2 - 6.1 #3 - 6.0 #4 - 5.8 The tent was 83F, with humidity at 65%. I’m hoping the adjusted fan helps with the humidity, and I also hope my girls react well to being tied up. Happy growing everyone! 7/7/22 Today, Stella’s Cuatro ended up getting the same treatment as their mother. Each of them were the recipient of some serious High Stress Training (HST). All of them have super long branches that were making them almost unmanageable, so I got to taping and bending branches today until nearly all of their branches had been bent over 90*. Sorry for the asterisk, but I didn’t have a degree icon to use. Bending their branches made space in the tent to some degree as well. They don’t look so crowded anymore, but later on I’m going to have the same issues that I’m having with their mother now. Branch weight! It seems silly to complain about all the time, but damn they are all huge plants! I know that some of you may be thinking that you’d probably rather stay away from this cultivar, but that would be a mistake. I bitch, and moan a lot about these plants, but regardless of the headaches they give me, they are still absolutely wonderful plants. They grow strong and healthy regardless of what I do to them. They develop ginormous buds, and the effects of this cultivar are still my all time favorite. They are resilient giants that produce a lot of bud! The first cultivar I ever grew was this one, DarkStar, and 1 plant produced almost half a pound of top shelf bud after everything was dried and jarred up. I’m looking forward to another wonderful haul from these 4, their mother, and another 2 younger siblings.” Each plant received 1/2 gallon of solution with a pH of 6.5. Each has sufficient runoff except #3. She didn’t have any runoff. The others were as follows: #1 & 4 - 5.8 #2 - 6.0. The tent was 83.3F, and humidity was 56%. Life is good. Happy growing everyone!
