Update latter

I (pre-moistened) worked in 2.5 gallons of de-chlorinated tap water, with my fingers into this high-porosity soilless growing medium. This variant is very dry, and seems to reject water, until moistened(3cu ft compressed, Agro a5-hp from local nursery). Even after the 2.5 gallons of water was worked in (with no runoff), there was still a dry patch at the bottom of the pot.. I figured it would start to absorb from the wet medium on top, over time. It is now Day 10, and the moistened medium never needed to be watered since day 1. The medium is almost dry enough to be watered (see final picture). Maybe one or two more days. I will poke/scratch the soil daily, to ensure that I wait long enough, to not over-water.

Some of you may have wondered: Why do I use CO2 at average 950 ppfd μmol/m2/s (moral flow)? The answer is quite simple. Because of lack of space in some regions of my cultivation area, I simply cannot keep the ideal distance to my Sanlight high-performance lamp, due to some height growth of various strains. And so some of the main colas have ppfd values of 1250 μmol/m2/s and even more... So this is how I manage to achieve and compensate for such high radiation levels even with a CO 2 balance. And I have to say, my strategy to avoid various light stress symptoms works just fabulously. In combination with CO 2 implementation, my babies are simply unbeatably insensitive to light. Thats it! Beginning of 3rd week flowering: Again feeding my babies by 36 hours fermented potions of Bio Tabs Kompost Tea PK-Booster (15 g pro Liter) and added: 5ml Orgatrex/Liter 1 Spoon of Bactrex 1 Spoon of Mycotrex 1 Spoon of Mycco-Vital 1 Spoon of Dynomyco A little tip for those who are interested in small modifications that have a big difference or influence - on the result - effect - beauty - health - taste! Before adding microorganisms or beneficial bacteria or Mycorrizae and Trichodermas, please use oxygen-saturated water. On the one hand, unwanted chlorine gases evaporate and the small world of the microbiome becomes even faster and more rewarding in compost tea to sprout. Last but not least for this week, I would like to introduce my reasons, why I prefer growing biologically and sustainably. First of all, it’s something which suits very well in these times/days we are living now. Sustainability is a big need and task for our planet. 🌎 Nature means life. Our home, the air we breathe and everything that surrounds us. Not just today. Hopefully tomorrow as well. Maybe I'm starting to protect our environment on a small scale, but maybe I can also make a big difference at all. If you change the way you look at things, the things you look at change... I thought about what’s the difference, between Mineral Feeding and Super Soil Feeding. It’s very easy. Biologically Growing is a similar process than the natural soil activities out there in the lap of nature’s. So plants has to work and interact with the microorganisms and microbiomic communities in the soil. So the plants will never get lazy like the lazy ones of mineral feeding growers. If you grow biologically, you will feed the soil first and the microorganisms will support every parameter next to your plant conditions. And that will generate an unbelievable spectrum of Terpenes and Trichomes you will never forget. It’s the same comparison, when you daily visit McDonalds and you eat only fast food. Addendum for Day 53: At the moment we unfortunately have another winter onset here in Germany. This means that I am forced to take additional heating measures due to structural facts in order to be able to keep the temperatures constant. After all, just tonight the thermometer climbs again to -1 degree Celsius. In addition, my exhaust air system runs out of my bedroom terrace and I therefore grow winter and summer with the patio door open. Well, sometimes I experience real weather-related challenges. But all in all, no problem... "Where there's a will, there's a way." Addendum to pouring out the fermented PK tea: I always administer half a liter of lukewarm aerated water with 3.5 ml of cannazyme per liter to each plant. This means that the "root machine" is not supplied with supplies unprepared and the nutrient solution can thus also be better distributed in the soil. Since I also work with cloth shoes, I spray them evenly moistened everywhere with water that is also warm before pouring them out from the outside. This has the advantage that the moisture stays where it should: in the pot! ... I did the math today ;-) We are still in week 7 until this Friday. And week 8 starts on Friday! OMG... still so much time yeahh! Today my Fast Buds Sour Jealousy and Sweet Seeds Big Devil and Dark Devil Automatics arrived. I'm looking forward to it. This time Fast Buds next Time Sweet Seeds. Love them too. Very beautiful genetics. Today a review video of the beginning of week 3. At the time of the pictures, I had minor signs of nitrogen excess. (Light peaks first at the crown of the roof and then slightly continuing to the middle section.) I then painstakingly racked my brains as to why this could be. I found that very slight dry spots had formed and therefore the root found small accumulations of nitrogen that caused its problems. But then, when I carefully homogeneously checked the moisture content in the substrate, the problem evaporated again. However, they had not shown any loss of growth rate during this time. Nevertheless, they developed as expected. They Strawnanas had no problem with that. In the end, I always have a hard time killing them. But I guess that's the way things go. We live and die. Good week, buds are swelling up and girls getting taller. Fastberry day 52: still getting talled standing at 71 cms (grew by 5cms since last week), sowing some signs of over feeding so today I gave her a weeker feed with 2ml/l of biogrow and 1ml/l calmag only. She is growing to become a very beautiful girl. Sugar Mama day 56: I was started to worry that this girl is a photoperiod and making plans for her and cloning. This week standing at 22cms she is finally starting to flower. She had a bad childhood resulting in slow development hopefully it doesn't come with small buds and just delayed the process. I defoliated her again the beginning of the week (I lost count at this point, I think this was the 3rd defoliation in 3 weeks) Candy Kush #1 day 56: Buds are swelling up, grew to 29cms from 24cms last week, she also showed signs of overfeeding so got same weeker feed as the fastberry. Candy Kush #2 day 56: Standing at 66cms, didn't get any taller by buds are swelling up nicely trichomes are mostly smokey white but I'll leave these girls longer to swell them up more and have some more stoney effect plants. Won't be long now, maybe 3 weeks. There is some sort of feeding issue with this plant, she never looked 100% healthy to me. Bubble Kush day 52: standing at 82cms, hasn't gotten taller but the buds are getting fatter and she looks amazing. Taking all the nutrients well and looking really nice. Did I mention she is my favorite of the lot? I've already bought me some RQS Huckleberry auto and RQS Northern Lights auto. They will go into my next grow :D I've been defoliating here and there as I go along and watering by top watering a little and then mostly bottom feeding by watering the saucers and making sure all of it is sucked up and pot isn't sitting in water. Week 8 and still now flowering on the Amnesia Zkittlez, changed it up to 12/12. EC is up to ~4.5 Plants seem to like it! Tried to get some pictures of the Trichomes with a jewelers Loupe. Smell is amazing!

The Gorilla Melon has officially moved outside in the beggining of the week. She adapted instantly to the natural sunlight and breeze, looking extremely vibrant. Her Sativa genetics are definitely showing with some solid node spacing, but she is also thickening up her main stem and pushing plenty of new growth in the lower nodes. Applied a fresh batch of nematodes last night to keep the organic substrate 100% clean from any outdoor pests right from the start. The plant is full of energy. Waiting just until tomorrow morning to top her above the 4th or 5th node.

Bud wet weight : 168,1g of trimmed medium to big sized buds 25,4g of tiny tiny buds/larfs = 193.5 grams of trimmed wet buds. Details on genetics and smoke report above. This, as my first grow, is way more than I ever expected it to be. I haven´t had that much fun and enthusiasm in a very very long time. I can´t even explain the feeling it is to harvest your own cannabis, but I know most of you know what I´m talking about haha. It was really nice to practice LST, even tho it was SO HARD, ´cause I didn´t had barely any space to work since I used a hard pot and did not fill nearly half the size of it and the walls of the pot were really high. It was even difficult to water without dropping water on the lower buds. I haven´t learnt much about defoliation tho, I feel I need to study a little more about the phases you should or should not do it. Also, I discovered thrips are a pain in the ass. I had 2 tough weeks dealing with thrips, but in the end it was alright. I don´t have any humidity control device, which I intend to buy for the next grows. Growdiaries was really helpful for me, it kept me motivated everyday (not that I wouldn´t have had it anyways), the Grow Questions are REALLY useful and all the community is awesome. Thanks to all people that helped me here on GD during this first grow! To conclude it: I am really happy and satisfied with how the grow turned out. They look incredible, it almost feels like I can´t believe it still. Peace. UPDATES: 07/10 : The buds are now dry and already in curing jars, one of them with a Boveda 58% humidity pack. The total grams of the dry buds are: 41.4g (medium to big sized buds) 4.1g (tiny buds) = 45.5 grams! I´m really happy with the results, I thought it would be around 30g so yeah, that´s a really good surprise! In 2 weeks I´ll be back to update the smoke report. Thanks so much for reading! Peace. 09/10 : I managed to fit everything in the same container with some space between them, so now every bud is with the Boveda pack. 14/10: It´s been a week and the smell improved, it still smells a little like hay/plant ( even tho it´s not too dry neither too wet ). 21/10: Now it´s been two weeks and even tho the smell isn´t anymore hay, it´s a lot herbal. I really think the aroma can get better, but the taste is already good enough for me. The smoke report has been done and in case I have something to add, I´ll report here. Just had to cut some fan leafs off and try to get her in some kind of shape before she start to get some hight. Cut some bigger yellow leafs off too.

Had a tough time mitigating heat in the summer when this grow took place. Was also not able to care for the two plants I had as best i could due to a lack of time. Harvest really suffered because of it but still got some great results. Didn't weigh it but i filled 12 32 oz mason jars. 6 Of which were from my cloned plant. 4 were God's Vagina and 2 were a mix of both buds.

So I left for a week and had a trusted friend take over watering duties. A few things of note: I was concerned over overheating the grow so I turned the power down to 75% and ran the light up another 6 inches. This had the unfortunate effect of less airflow and cooler temps so I got powdery mildew that I would be fighting for the remainder of the grow. That aside, the plants looked way more mature when I returned home, with nice trichome development and density.

In my opinion, the harvest was quite good for a first grow. The buds are now in jars with humidity control packs and hygrometers, curing in the dark. Several weeks have passed, and I've already had the chance to try them. I have to say that I quite like the taste, and when smoking, I don't experience any harshness or other negative effects; instead, it feels rather mild and pleasant. The effect is good—not what I'm used to, but very pleasant and calming. I'm already looking forward to the next grow.

Day 84 -13/01/22 I’ve harvested 4 out of the 20 so far but they seem to be takeing a lot longer than expected!! I think I really slowed them down by training them and it being to cold at night hopefully I can take some more down tomorrow because I really need space!!!!

This past week the ladies have recovered well , it will be my last week of veg and then I will be flipping the lights . So far so good on the topping of obi#1 shes recovering well just giving her abit more time before we go ahead and change the lights . Hello fellows growers ✌️ First week of flowering, plants started their stretch after 5 days of 12/12 lights cycle. And some plants showing their first white pistils. I gonna start to cut some shoots at the bottom of the plants, I already know these small ones won’t reach the top. And will start to unplug some few big fan leaves, that are covering shoots just below the canopy to give them some light. ✅New Growers Tips ✅ ✅Switch to 12/12 light flowering cycle when your lights are half way to the ceiling. ✅Stick on your Veg. nutrients to give them Nitrogen to support the stretch and avoiding any dieback situation (plants yellowing from the bottom, moving their Nitrogen to save the top) around week 4 of flowering.
