again ... i never realized that this much effort went into starting baby girls ... much respect for the ladies. considering she almost died from a broken taproot she is doing really well. the roots are not showing at the bottom of the pot yet, but she seems to have adopted without showing signs of stress. i helped her move from the nursery into her new home. as everything is all-new - new baby, new home, new technology, (relatively) new grower - it seems i am behind trying to get to the front. hpa is fun, i think once everything settles in, it will be very easy to maintain and grow. i have the basic parts work - the high-pressure dosing, the nutrient distribution, the drainage, lighting figured out. i need to vent the tent more to reduce the little heat generated by the lights. i seem to have a few water leaks on at least one push connector on the high-pressure tank. then i think i need to clean up the wiring and nutrient lines. then for me - the real fun can begin. i already started building a computer for this garden - i really look forward to observing the hpa system from a data point of view to understand better how to maintain the best environment for the girl as well as increase operational efficiency.

A lot of growth this week, the back right is rather spindly and tall compared to the rest so will need to train her down quite a bit I think. I have some soft ties coming in the post tomorrow so will be doing some extensive LST over the next few days, aiming to spread out taller plants and giving the shorter ones a chance to catch up. I did do some HST this week, but I botched a few up and had to add a splint to one of them. The tall one also has a couple yo-yo supports as she was leaning over a little bit. PH swings are less frequent but do happen from time to time, went as low as 4.7 PH during lights out but doesn’t seem to have affected them. I am determined to have an even canopy by the end of the transition period this time 💪

Day 53 of flower and she’s definitely approaching the end, as this strain runs for anywhere from 56-70 days. Odor is very strong with some serious gassy orange soda terps. Most all of the trichomes are still looking hazy to milky white. No amber showing yet except for on some of the sugar leaves, which should make for some nice heavy edibles once I process trim. Have been flushing for the last few weeks and will continue until harvest. Can’t wait to give this pretty lady the chop.

This was the girls last week of growth. 2/3 showed some serious leaf issues, lockout or PH issues, but didn’t seem to affect them enough as they continued to grow and fatten up. Easy week this week, tried to keep the temps low as to not volatize all the terps with high heat. RH was kept to around 50% . Straight Ph’d water for the last two weeks and some good trichome Development, mostly milky now. Harvest to come, Happy Gardening 🇨🇦👊❤️

so excited. They just keep stacking! Smell and stickiness is coming on now. Definitely get the pepper smell people have noted on the power plant. Some pistals going orange but as we're week 5-6 I'm ok with this. Best grow for me yet. Genetics and lights FTW!

Week is going good aside from me accidently cutting off a stem on pheno 2. If I can properly save the cutting though I might have a chance at another female. Pheno 3 I'm hoping can make some comeback as I really want to flower the plant, its not dead by any means but the way its growing I just cant see it allowing itself to flower the top leaves were barely growing so I topped. Hopefully positive changes within the next week.

Day 2 flip: Due to the other plants in the room , I needed to flip the lights to flower. I was worried she wouldnt really be big enough to benefit from the flowering yet but ad it is a tester seed for my own cross , I wanted to see the buds it creates rather than a big yield yet. I have about 15 of these crosses that I separated as they popped out and among the many that I mixed together during the panic to remove the offending male, "Billy big bollocks", to stop him ruining anymore of my vestal virgins. The result of the Gorilla Zkittelz/Blue Gelato41 is impressing the hell out of me so far. She is a lot younger than her neighbours by 2 weeks in some cases but she is the biggest in her NFT tray now. I have been training her with bends and squashes into a quadline of sorts and I am not dissapointed either response. The below decks nodes are stacking right behind each other's heads and look like they will remain close together. This is a bonus as I have a friend growing another cross of my gelato (RQS Hulkberry/Gelato)that is 1.2M tall and colas from the base to the many tips. I dont have space for any more monsters with the fastbuds testers going wild. lol The Zkittel pheno can go two ways too as I had two different ones in a previous grow that both produced rock solid buds but were very different in growth rate and structures. The Gelato gene is also a lanky lady from her sativa background so seeing a squat ,thick plant at this stage indicates a fat colas short girl is coming. I will be popping a cross in each new run i do as I want to see what I have created here with these and also as I a have always fancied a go at breeding seeds. Cookies and Cream is growing great under the Medic Grow Mini Sun-2. I changed her solution today, I also defoliated her, and pruned the tips off the long roots. I then proceeded to lollipop the canopy. She has been growing strong, and fast. I hope it continues 🤞🏻.
