W13 - ESTHER 🌱is growing tall. Ahm... Started again thinking about toping ✂️ her 🤔 Still can't spot any signs of flowering 🌻 in her 😥🤦‍♂️ I carried on with defoliation of unnecessary leaves.

Working towards germinating 4 autos. Hopefully all seeds will successfully take. Seeds will soak for a day or so and then into directly amended soil in fabric pots.

The buds are becoming every day bigger and hairy and some trichomes starting to develop quite nice. the Smell is not so strong at the moment perfectly manageable by the carbon filter. I'm still struggling with some nutes and ph stress but the plant seems to keep growing. I'm gonna flush with 20 l at 1.2 EC and ph 6.6 and letting her dry for 5 days and then ill give her a boost of 1.8ec so that lots of oxygen goes to the roots.

Stretched like crazy! Showing sativa dominance. 1 plant had 2 roots stuck in cup and broke off. Hopefully recovery is fine and I can get to the fun of training soon!

Room setup rundown, examples of bud, et al in pictures... Seedlings/Clones lights - Viparspectra XS1500. Vege lights - Mars Hydro FC-4800 Flower Lights - 650w 3400K 1900umol/s PAR, (3) 226w DIY 2900K 630umol/s PAR (678w and 1890umol/s), Substrate - 50/50 sphagnum peat moss and vermiculite in 5-gallon pots Climate Control - Luckily, the lights, winter and normal furnace use all equate to a decent temperature, though a bit on colder side in in vege phase, sadly. Humidifier is needed early and later a dehumidifier is needed when canopy develops. I only grow in the winter months. Irrigation - do not use the emitters in this diary. They suck a big fat dick to skip a line to suck a bigger dick. Use the pressure compensating type. https://growdiaries.com/diaries/232811-strawberry-cookies-og-r1-cherry-diesel-bbgs-ego-epg-ebg-grow-journal-by-001100010010011110/week/1366923 -- use something similar to those. They come in different shapes, too. Basic process The little light takes care of seedlings in 2.5" wide seedling pots until first up-pot. The 1-gallon pots fit well under the FC4800 in a 4x4 tent until day 21 after sprout. I plant 150% or more of what i need, so i can kill the weak without concern. The goal is for every plant that makes it to the 5-gallon up-pot being capable of producing a minimum of 160 grams with a maximum of a 35-40 day vegetative phase. Third up-pot is into 5-gallon nursery pots and now under the 3 DIY lights and the 650W light in the big tent for a couple more weeks of vege. An irrigation system in the big tent saves a lot of time. One scrog for training and another for support, just in case. Reverting back to a more systematic approach to canopy composition moving forward. About 2.3 colas per sq ft and 8 primary colas per plant. Yields were similar when over-crowding and being less systematic, but the proportion of less dense nugs is greater and trim time is needlessly elevated because of that fact. I was very controlling about this the first couple years but got away from it for far too long at this point. Drying / Curing - Into mesh racks for 9 days. I wet trim and cut down to similarly sized buds for even drying. Temps are controlled around 68F and RH is set to 60%. Then into some 5-gallon buckets with gamma seal lids and (3) 2-way 67g boveda humidipaks (58% or 62%) in each bucket - 1 at bottom, 2 at top. Temp/RH probe confirms that they hold the RH steady at 60-63%. Cost - 0.33 cents (USD) per gram produced. This includes an accelerated depreciation expense for all equipment used, fertilizer, water, electricity for all equipment used, new filters and other yearly purchases - bti, ph strips, sticky traps, etc. I'm a finance guy, so these numbers are comprehensively accurate and purposely err slightly on high side of cost. The only facet not included is the cost of my labor.

Welcome to the Smoking Tiki's hut! For this grow, I'm using some of the seeds I won at the Summer Buds contest from last year. I kept the seeds in my fridge door during one year. It worked very well because all the seeds successfully germinated after 48h! 😎 I used 3x3 seeds. I selected 2x3 seeds with the bigger root to put them in some pots. I will let them grow a bit and then select the 3 best plants to make it until the harvest. It's the first time I grow some Fast Buds under a light and in a controlled environement, I'm really curious to see how it turns out! My set-up: -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- - Mars Hydro TSW2000 (300W). - Tristar fan (30W) - Greenmigo dehumidifier (155W). - Compo Sana universal soil (2x40l) - Timer - Weather station + pH meter Have a nice journey through my grow diary!

Purple Berry Kush by Spliff Seeds 🏜️23.5 As is good practice, I start by sincerely thanking Spliff Seeds for sponsoring this journal. The graphics of the seeds are very nice, I hope to hear "Timon" singing when I smoke this plant 😆 Today I put it in water for 24 hours, starting a new cycle, yeah! 🏜️24.5 I move the seed to a damp napkin. 🏜️25.5 The seed has broken and the root begins to come out. 🏜️26.5 we are about 4 millimeters. 🏜️27.5 About one centimeter 🏜️28.5 We are at 3 centimeters, tomorrow I'll put it on the ground, yeah! 🏜️29.5 I put in 0.4 liters of soil, wait for it to pop out of the ground and cover it with a plastic bag, yeah! 🤘 __________________________________________ ❓ Are you new to the world of the cultivation and don't know where to safely buy your seeds? 🦄Fast and anonymous shipping. Big week of defoliation. Added another level of scrog as well to prevent the plants growing into the light. The medipak are sativas and are stretching like crazy. Medipak #2 in the middle back is looking like an indica with much larger fan leaves and thicker stems. Less stretch compared to medi pak #1 and #3 which are growing like crazy. #3 is gonna be a real heavy yielder...stacked! Smelling of spices and hash The indigo child are stretching much less and are a little slower in flower development. Very similar to the putang I grew previously. Usually slow to start but will pick up steam and fatten up in the last few weeks. Smells like orange soda mixed with grape candy. Has a little sour pine sol finish. Almost identical to the putang. Still one of my favs. Edit day 17. Not great but my setup lost power most of the day. It probably got into the low 50's in my tent, maybe less. I'm sure I'm gonna see some temp shock from that. Sure enough when I looked at the leaves they were a little curled. We shall see what happens. They're big plants so I'm sure they'll bounce back. Maybe lose a few days of stretch... Update day 19: Plants are recovering nicely. Starting to see some frost. Temps are back in check now as well. Update day 20: temps are good.

Another week in the books. About two more weeks to go and these ladies are looking fantastic. They have really expressed themselves in this pass week. Buds are rock solid dense I hope for a bit more bud development as far as size but if not the density definitely makes up for it. The Trichomes on each plant are becoming more and more pronounced each day. I am starting to see a fade happen olin all plant so harvest window is approaching. Aiming for day 70 ish harvest or slightly later.
