Day 37 marks the official start of flowering, with strong stretch, healthy pistil formation, and a fully stabilized canopy after completing all LST work. Feeding is set at 2-2-2.5 (Micro/Grow/Bloom), no additives yet, and root pressure looks excellent with visible post-watering guttation and vigorous growth. Environment is stable at 23.5°C and 50% RH, main light runs at 100% from 80 cm to allow stretch before lowering both lamps for full flowering intensity next week.

Day 65, 17th of November 2020: Here we go with this beauty Tropicanna Poison.... All good streching has stopped making buds. I am waiting for the red colour tho ;) Some lollipopping (defoliation) has been done and also removed all the old LST's as the plant remains in shape from now. Fertilization is still the same like before happens every 2nd day with the ratio and mix above. The lamp is on 11.30 min and off 12.30 min. Last week was 15 min longer light cycle.... So every week 15 min shorter light cycle until the 5th week. So far -30 min. It switches on at 6 am and off at 17.30 pm.

Aug 23: Sunday Punch EV is very fast and is getting close to ready. The buds are getting quite big and are weighing down the branches. Without the Scrog net she would be too floppy for all these buds. Plants are a bit too green lately so maybe there’s too much N still, but she’ll grow out of it. For pH adjustments I use apple cider vinegar normally but I ran out last week and was using malt vinegar. That must be one of the sources of excess N so I switched to regular white vinegar. Anyway, she is a very impressive plant. Aug 27: getting noticeably frostier. Hot again today. Increased water volume to about 9 L per day done as three 3 L waterings in morning, afternoon and finally in evening. Adding potassium silicate still to water and adjusting pH with vinegar and then adding a squirt of Dr Bronners Peppermint Soap as a wetting agent (surfactant) and the smell supposedly keeps bugs away. Unfortunately there are hardly any insects around any more, so, yay. Aug 28: flash pics before using red light. Don’t do flash pics of your plants if you don’t follow it up with a red light. Still seems a bit risky but this is the fourth year doing it and it seems fine.

Heute wird die blüte eingeleitet und ein paar Fotos folgen noch. Zu sagen gibt's nicht viel nur das sie sehr gut aussehen, alle Tops auf einer Höhe sind und die seitentriebe auch bereits neue seitentriebe bilden. An 2 Stelle ist mir vor n paar Tagen ein trieb abgebrochen aber innerhalb der paar Tage sind schon 2 dafür nachgewachsen aus dem Stück was noch hing. Wie immer würde ich mich über Tipps freuen ✌️🍀

I still have problems with high levels of humidity, but I discovered that if I open the window of the room to let fresh air in I can reduce the humidity in the air. This week I introduced molasses in the water, I used 1 tablespoon for every 4L of water. From now on I will only use nutes and molasses. The buds are not huge, but they are full of trichomes. I saw a bit of nutrient burn on a few leaves, nothing to worry about, I guess PPM around 2000 is a bit too much for this strain. Added yellow sticky fly traps to all cubes as a preventative measure to avoid infestation of fungus gnats. So far none have been spotted. Defoliated and did a little more LST to all the plants to open up the center and give more light to lower shoots. Blue Dream 3 and Chemdawg 3 started showing some discoloration on the leaves (yellowing around the veins) and also the leaf tips curling down. Did some research and came up with this... Possible diagnosis: - Yellowing around leaf veins could be a sign of Magnesium or Iron deficiency - Leaf tip curling down could be a sign of Nitrogen Toxicity. - Both could be caused by improper ph balance in water Possible solutions: - Applied Botanicare CalMag+ as a foliar feed and added some to the reservoir. CalMag+ contains Calcium, Magnesium and Iron. - Diluted nutrients in reservoir to lower amount of nitrogen being fed to plants. Was feeding them at 1300ppm, lowered it to 1050ppm - Tested runoff and saw it was coming out at 5.4pH so I increased the pH in the reservoir to 6.0. Now the runnoff is testing at 5.7pH, meaning that my rootzone is in the optimal range of 5.5-5.8 Well wait and see how the plants react to these slight tweaks. Hopefully we start to see a nice healthy even green again.

👋🏻 All growing well! I have let them grow naturally this week without much interference. I have been rotating the pots every few days and have also added another lower fan to help with airflow. Today I added some sticks to help open the canopy and I plan over the next week to start securing some branches down with wire along with some light defoliation. ✌️🌱☘️
