Not much do do this week. Training is mostly done. Don't really have anything to trim as was doing it as I went along. Just need to keep an eye on her. She's starting to flower but it looks like dimming the light affected the stretch. Day 37 - some mild defoliation Day 39 - looks like she's done with her stretch but hopefully she'll grow a bit more.

29 days since my seed sprouted a little girl๐ŸŒฑ The fourth week of growing my Break-up Cake Auto ๐Ÿฅง๐Ÿ’š Nutrients: Nutrients - transition to flower: Plagron Alga Bloom is an organic flower fertilizer for growing in soil. The fertilizer is algae-based and contains amino acids, proteins and a balanced ratio of phosphorus and potassium ๐ŸŒบ ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Plagron Green Sensation is a flower booster. Green Sensation is a 4-in-1 product, so you don't need to add additional fertilizers. Suitable for all types of substrates and systems ๐Ÿ’š๐Ÿ’œ๐Ÿ’š ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Bud Candy is a carbohydrate supplement from Advanced Nutrients that maximizes the growth and aroma of flowers. It supports strong root activity by providing food for beneficial microorganisms. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ BioBizz Calmag is a 100% organic, but also vegan fertilizer with BIO certification. Biobizz Calmag was designed for professional growers and home growers who need an extra dose of calcium and magnesium. It contains added humic acid ๐Ÿ’ฉโ˜˜๏ธ- I only apply it once a week.--------------------------------------------- Biobizz Bio pH-/ Biobizz Bio pH+ is a 100% natural and vegan pH regulator. Suitable for all types of substrates and crops. For use in growth and flowering. ๐Ÿ’ฉ๐Ÿ‹๐ŸŒฑ ---------------------------------------------------- PRO-MIX CONNECT MYCORRHIZAL POWDER - for substrate General: Break-up Cake Auto ๐Ÿฅง๐Ÿ’š The girl is already fully blooming ๐ŸŒบ๐Ÿต๏ธ, because she grew strangely from a young age, she created two main stems, on which buds are already forming. It is clear that this will be a particularly strong plant and I am glad that I did not lose her, just because she was a poor little girl, different from the others. Now she has repaid me and is growing into a beautiful strong girl โ˜˜๏ธ๐ŸŒฑ I use the new pH and EC meter Aqua Master Tools P110 PRO, the measurement is fast and accurate ๐Ÿ‘Œ So far I have managed to keep the pH and EC as they should be. Although my EC has jumped a little more now, I diluted the watering so that the EC drops. I use Biobizz Bio +/- to correct it. The excellent mycorrhizal powder PRO-MIX Connect to support the roots certainly works very well. All the girls have been very strong and stable from an early age ๐Ÿ’š๐ŸŒฟ๐ŸŒฒ Training: This week I had to do LST and defoliation 2x. This is usually the case during this period. And like her sister, I made the first defoliation bigger, the second one milder ๐Ÿƒ

So Iโ€™m updating a day early only because itโ€™s looking like a lot of rain tomorrow so here it is: Pp 1- 36 inches Pp2- 34 inches Pp3- 36 inches Os1- 35 inches Os2- 32 inches Os3- 36 inches Been dealing with a lot of wind so there is some damages on them but it is what it is Iโ€™m not sure how you prep them for 50kmh winds ๐Ÿคทโ€โ™‚๏ธ Iโ€™m thinkin the tent would be in a pile in the grow room ๐Ÿ˜‚ but anyways other then that there looking good. Iโ€™ve seen roughly 5-6 lady bugs laying eggs on the girls so thatโ€™s a good start!! No sign of pest yet but nature is prepin em. Iโ€™ve gotta get some more straw to lay down as the wind blew a lot of it away, itโ€™s coming everything is just a waiting game.. leaving on Wednesday for work so itโ€™s going to be exciting to see em two weeks later! Was a little nervous they were going to flip to flower but everything seems good so far havenโ€™t noticed any major stretch or anything like that so I think weโ€™re in the clear. The weather is taking a swing back to normal here itโ€™s been outa wack the last little bit, anywhere from 25-30c highest with humidity was 39c Iโ€™ve never seen this in May in my lifetime up in Canada but wow if thatโ€™s a taste of what summer is going to be like I want out now lol well time to go for now see ya again on June 17th!

Been tying these girls down over the week. Trying to spread them out more. They are looking healthy at least. No issues. No fungus gnats or any critters at all. Happy with it right now

Both plants are doing very well... One of the two plants is a week ahead and the buds are very firm and compact... The smell is sweet and intense. The stem of the plant is quite thin, I hope the buds won't be so heavy...The reason is I only started fertilizing in the flowering phase I will now fertilize my plant for another week before I start rinsing

Day 84. Sheโ€™s so heavy and stinky like chai tea bubblegum. Sheโ€™s starting her dark period ice flush for the last 5-7 days. I canโ€™t wait to see her ripen up. Sheโ€™s soooo freaking heavy when I take her off the yo-yo hangers she just flops Down like a a wilted sunflower ๐ŸŒป๐Ÿ˜‚ I canโ€™t wait to watch her finish

Following the plan, we've reached the end of week 12. Apparently, everything is fine with this girl and all the others, nothing to worry about. This girl in particular already has a very pleasant smell, excellent bud structure, and beautiful color. Looking forward to the next few weeks! โœŒ๏ธ๐ŸŒฑ๐ŸŒฟ๐Ÿ Happy growing, everyone!

7/29 - Week 9 of veg is starting. At this point, it is just let them grow up a few inches, and also fill out the pots some more with roots before transplanting to 5 gallon fabric pots (their final homes). I also plan on mixing a 'flower blend' soil to fill up the 5g pot around the rootball that is transplanted. This recipe for the soil is taken from MaximumYield: Enhanced fruit/flower potting soil recipe This soil recipe is designed for plants that are ready to fruit or flower. In particular, this recipe works great for ornamentals that are already in bloom and for fast-growing annuals that are entering their fruiting or flowering stage. Parenthesis indicate small changes or products I'm using. 1/2 cu. ft. (60 cups) sphagnum peat moss (Promix BX) 1/4 cu. ft. (30 cups) coco coir (Mother Earth Coco Peat) 1/4 cu. ft. (30 cups) compost (either compost or manure) 1/4 cu. ft. (30 cups) perlite 10 cups pumice (likely to just use perlite here) 5 cups worm castings 3 cups bat guano (high phosphorus) 1 cup fish bone meal (using regular bone meal, got Jobe's Bone Meal) 1 cup oyster shell 1/2 cup seabird guano (likely to just add as the high phosporous guano) 1/4 cup alfalfa meal 1/4 cup fish meal (Down to Earth Fish Meal) 2 tbsp. langbeinite (Down to Earth Langeinite) 1 tbsp. glacier rock dust (Azomite ordered from Amazon) 7/30 - While technically the morning of 7/31, lights haven't gone out yet, so it is still the 30th ;) It almost hurts posting pictures today, because they were really thirsty, but I honestly hadn't looked at them for a couple days. Anywho, the plants were watered with ~1.25 liters of water each, about 90 minutes before lights out. Will be interesting to post the 7/31 photos after a couple hours of lights on, and see the difference in appearance. I also mixed the soil for flowering, and it will now have a couple weeks to 'cook' and become ready for the plants. I did make a mistake and accidentally added 1 cup of fish meal instead of 1/4 cup (oops), and the alfalfa meal just smelled too good, so I added 1/2 cup instead of 1/4. Hopefully those 2 'changes' don't add too much nitrogen for flower, but I imagine it won't. I also instead of adding perlite (didn't want to buy a 4 cu ft bag when I needed at most 2.5 gallons (1/3 cu ft), so I opted to add 1 gallon of pumice. Since the coco peat and promix both have perlite in them, I didn't want too much added. There were also some worms from the compost that made it into the tote that is now storing the mix, so life has already started in the soil. 7/31 - It wasn't just after lights on, as I didn't have time to photo earlier, but this is just about 24 hours after watering, and praying/looking good. I had noticed that it looked like the fan had slipped down the pole a bit, and was causing some wind burn/clawing of the leaves yesterday, which probably attributed to poor looks, but looking better today! I am not that versed in checking preflowers, though I know the difference for sure once flowering starts, but it appears both of these may be ladies! 8/4 - After getting home from work, and realizing I hadn't checked on the plants in a couple days and I knew they were due for water either yesterday or today, I saw some THIRSTY plants. They each got ~1.2L of water, and also a quick trim back. Also, as shown in the pictures, and while still under 18/6 light, DC#2 has developed balls, and is definitely a male. I have been contemplating growing any males out for pollen, but that just might be further down the road for me. He will likely get the plug soon. On the plus side, DC#1 definitely has hairs!

Hey! Welcome to week 8! Karen is mid way through her flowering stretch. Please check back to last week as I update daily so the week is now complete. I count about 20 colas now. Day 51: Have reconfigured the tent, see video. Karen is now 36cm and still stretching. Karen has more light now. Smell is still there hits you when you open the tent. Fertigated 2l. Day 52: Height: 39cm. Karen's scent is heavenly. I have reconfigured again and installed some upgrades. Better reflector. Much bigger carbon filter. Increased airflow. Better config. More efficient pot layout. Karen is lovely. I am grateful to her and for her, so I wrote her a little poem, I hope she liked it. "Karen! Oh Karen! The phoenix of flowers, Three lowly weeks she struggled in vain, Shadowed and starved for five hundred hours, He slowly wept to witness her pain. Karen! Oh Karen! I P-H'd your showers, and in the fourth week you started to gain, Hallowed and hard you survived as you cowered, I thought you meek, I was wrong once again. Karen! Oh Karen! Forgave me my howlers. She set a pace, a pace she maintained, Now shes a girl at the peak of her powers, And so I'm a geek, with buds on the brain." Day 53: Approx 48h into a simulated dry spell. Alright I think it is time for Karen to get her first MAJOR defoliation. I will update shortly with photos and info. I will also be doing some gentle LST to separate the colas a bit. Day 53.5: Defoliation and LST. Finally got chance to photograph that bunda. Enjoy! Day 53.75: Bit of a fail. Messed up the timer and the lights ended up being off for about 3 or 4 hours. Because I was cooling the room (open window) to keep temperature in the tent down, without any light the temperatures absolutely plummeted as it is sub-zero outside. By the time I realised and turned the lights on, the temp in the main tent had dropped to 14 degrees celsius. Whoops! How is that for mistreating your girl? Defoliated about 80% of her leaves, 4 nodes, significant LST, then stuck her in the cold and dark for 1/6 of a day. Not to mention she is now almost 3 days into a "dry spell". There do not seem to be ill effects, and Karen has already begun to respond to the LST; all the colas that had been changed in angle are now upright again. The dry spell I keep mentioning, there is a method behind my madness, I have spotted one or two small flies and I think they may be fungus gnats. I am starting to suspect that the 2nd seedling in the Purple OG Punch Auto grow was actually beheaded by fungus gnat larvae. So I am drying out the mediums as much as I dare. I am closely monitoring the plants, so far the only one I have had to break the drought for is Enigma; all the girls in big pots haven't even noticed it's dry yet. How far am I going to push it? Well I will judge it on a plant by plant basis, but quite honestly I am hoping to see physical signs of thirst before I breakdrought. Of all the plants the two I think will respond most strongly to this will be Karen and Bertha, because of where they are. Karen here is actually probably 4 weeks into flowering rather than two, so about now is a good time to give her a little hydration stress. I do not think I will push it past 5 days, as RH is 34%. By now all the plants will be compensating for the lack of moisture and the high temperatures and low humidity. They will be taking more and more moisture out of the coco, and as the coco dries further and further down, those plants that have space will start desperately growing roots to find moisture. Mark my words, 24 hours after I end this drought, every plant in the tent will throw out crazy growth. Day 54: Ended drought and fertigated 6l, no run off, I will re-fertigate tomorrow. Karen is still stretching her height post LST is now 37cm. The two tallest colas seem to have stopped but the other colas are still stretching. Day 55: Alright so it has been 5 hours since lights on, and Karen is looking in good shape, all her drooping leaves have perked back up and she has added quite a bit of foliar growth. The colas are all still rising, except perhaps the two tallest. This girl is absolutely loaded with pistils, I'm starting to see trichomes on the sugar leaves, but trich production hasn't started in earnest yet. She has a least 20 colas, and 6 of them are thicker/taller than the primary cola at her tip. Every one of her nodes has reinforced itself with a bulbous growth and these cola branches are swelling rapidly. I am increasingly of the opinion that, all being well, this girl is going to surprise us all with her yield. My first grow, which was just mucking about really, I got 60-70g of the two main plants, and they were just bare sticks with 2 colas. Although her height is less than theirs was, 2/3 of their height was bare stick... whereas every mm of her is befoliaged and living. So in terms of the height of the actual cola I think they were about comparable in usable space on a per cola basis. The main difference being that Karen has 20+ colas whereas they had 2 primary and 2 lower. I know that it is probably unrealistic to expect more than 70g from a single auto grown indoors. Nevertheless my gut tells me this baby could achieve at least 100g, perhaps as much as 150g. The next few weeks will determine that, but given where we were in week 3 I will be grateful for any yield of quality bud. I have dropped the lights down to 18/6 from 'tonight' onwards. I really have no idea how long we have left for Karen. According the the "brochure" she flowers for 7-8 weeks, with a total crop time of 9 weeks. The problem is I don't know what a total crop time is? Does that mean from seed to finish? If so Karen is clearly not going to be anywhere near that timescale.I am going to go ahead an assume that, for my plant anyway, the first 4 weeks were veg weeks. I think it is fair to count week 5 and 6 as flowering because pistils were popping out very early in week 5 if not before. So that makes this week four of flowering. I am going to assume 8 weeks rather than 7, so I think we have another 4 full weeks give or take a week. On that basis I am expect harvest week to be around week 12 or so. I am not fixed on this though, I am determined not to harvest this girl early. Day 55: Photos taken 00:00 9/3/23 Strong 24h of veg growth as predicted. Day 56: Existing leaves continue to swell. Stretch appears to be slowing. I've taken so many media this week that I cannot scroll down far enough to select a recent thumbnail. Probably Karen's biggest week in terms of changes. She is looking like she is going to impress. Height 39cm.

The plants are growing very nicely, but this week there is very little sun, rather very cloudy and rainy However, the scent is wonderful and the plants are extremely sticky and smell sweet and tangy.

Such a stunning little beauty! She's almost ready for harvest, just waiting for a few more trichome heads to turn amber; aiming for a ~20%'ish rate. Buds are looking massive and dense and are accompanied by some pretty frosty leaves. The smell has developed into a rather tart and herbal aroma with most of the citrussy scents gone by now. So excited! Can't wait to chop her up and taste these fascinating terps :D Hopefully she's gonna be all ready in a week! Decreased the amount of nutrients we're giving her a bit further by fertilizing only once this week with overall fewer nutrients.

It was a beautiful week for the plant. She drank a lot, the flowers are maturing wonderfully. Lots of sun for the end of flowering, I'm going to start giving only water from now on I only use water so as not to destroy the microbial life in the soil and to be able to cultivate again in the same place.

Marching through flowering!!!!!!! Starting to get a bit frosty. I flushed her during the week (thank you @BigDaddyK ) The runoff was a little too acidic at first before coming up.
