I'm in southern Ontario. Spring is in the air! Humidity levels have risen with rainfall, and temperatures are rising outside and inside my tent. I have been leaving my tent door open during the day and semi-closed at night. Plants in tent do not yet smell and I have my air intake/carbon filter, by VIVOSUN, turned off. During the day my small clip-on fan circulates. At night I let her rest in the cooler air and turn the fan off. May 2: Watered with a PH of 6.5, always using a bit of vinegar to PH down. Water included a pinky finger tip amount of crushed and stirred eggshells. Shells had been sitting in the water for 1.5 days. Shells did not enter the medium. Just the water they sat in.

Hey friends, we have hit day 26! Seemed like close to the right time to throw in some bloom nutes. I decided to add some carbs too. One pheno looks like it's budding already. Let's see how this plays out

Last update for today but by no means least... Karen is now on day 107! She is still not ready but she is now foxtailing, presumably because of all the stress. I've been moving house so the plants and diaries have been badly neglected for 3 weeks. Two 9 day droughts, damage during move. Etc. For the last 3 weeks I have taken one cola off Karen each week to dry and smoke test. She is already stunning in flavor and potency. I am very excited for her eventual harvest.

Solid little plants, I cant tell if they are hungry or the PH issue from earlier is just showing - but they were over watered, so its probably that. Late on this diary but too early for the next week ? not that anyone reads it

These 2 ladies go their separated ways, 1 stays lower but branching good and slightly paler green, the other dark green leaf and more height to it. But the branches go slower. Rather impressed by the 2 hindus, who got like 4 to 5 days less than the sweet chees xl, and they are overtaking in growth now. Thats it for this week Grow tall!🍀🍀🍀

Higher temperatures and humidity promote rapid growth, nutrient uptake, and photosynthesis while maintaining a lower stress level. Temperature influences the rate of enzymatic reactions involved in aerobic respiration. Enzymes, such as those involved in glycolysis, the Krebs cycle, and the electron transport chain, work most efficiently at an optimal temperature range. In low temperatures, enzymatic activity will slow down, thus reducing the rate of aerobic respiration. In high temperatures, enzymes can become denatured, thus impairing their function and stopping the process of aerobic respiration. Glucose is the primary fuel for aerobic respiration. The rate of aerobic respiration increases with the availability of glucose, as it is the starting point for glycolysis. If glucose levels are low, cells may rely on alternative energy sources such as fatty acids or amino acids , but these processes may yield less ATP or be less efficient. Once I understood that water is produced as a by product during cellular respiration, specifically at the very end of the electron transport chain (ETC) where electrons are finally transferred to molecular oxygen, the higher the RH of the air, the more resistance there is for more moisture to be added to that environment, and effects the ease with which it does so. But none of that water comes from the pot; it's pulled from the air. If you run high daytime RH, your medium/pot is 100% reliant on transpirational root pull to move water. ZERO evaporation happens across the atmosphere if the tent air has high RH%, the medium cannot release its water through evaporation. Once a canopy develops, light no longer slowly wicks and evaporates from the topsoil. The Soil-Plant-Atmosphere Continuum (SPAC) describes the continuous pathway and process of water movement, driven by a gradient in water potential, from the soil, through the plant's roots, stem, and leaves, and finally evaporating into the atmosphere through transpiration. There is evaporation, there is transpiration, and then there is evapotranspiration; Evapotranspiration (ET) is the combined total of two processes: evaporation (water lost directly from soil and surface water into the atmosphere) and transpiration (water released from plants to the atmosphere through their leaves). Evapotranspiration represents the total amount of water that moves from the medium into the air. There is no such thing as a medium with too much water, only a medium that retains too much for too long. The water must always flow efficiently from one atmosphere(Medium) to another(Air) in a timely manner. Moisture is a critical factor for bacterial growth and decay. Dictating how long it's allowed to sit in any one location for any given period is a key preferred control. To ensure a net reduction in a bacterial population, the rate of removal (ET) must exceed the rate of bacterial growth (decay rate), which is often modeled as a growth rate for the specific bacterium under the given conditions. By optimizing daytime VPD, we also optimize conditions for bacterial growth to explode exponentially above 77°F.. If water is allowed to sit in a medium without an escape within a timeframe, nothing good will happen. IF High RH is maintained overnight as well as during the day, placing 100% of water movement at the behest of daytime transpiration, roots can only pull where they can reach, and if soil is compressed above a certain point, moisture will become trapped in a medium with no way of moving day or night. This will begin the countdown for decay to take hold. When water stagnates in a medium, it loses oxygen, creating anaerobic conditions that foster the growth of harmful microorganisms like bacteria and fungi, which can produce toxins and disease vectors. Thigmomorphogenesis, the process by which plants respond to mechanical stimuli like touch by altering their growth and development, results in significant morphological changes to improve survival against mechanical perturbations. This complex response involves sensing touch and initiating physiological and genetic responses, leading to changes in form and structure over days or weeks. The process is triggered by physical forces such as wind, rain, or touch. Plants adapt to these stimuli by changing their shape and structure, which may include slower growth, thickened stems, or altered leaf development. Plants possess sophisticated mechanisms to detect even subtle mechanical stimuli and initiate responses. A variety of molecules, including calcium ions, jasmonates, ethylene, and nitric oxide, are involved in signaling these mechanical inputs. Touch can induce the expression of genes that encode proteins for calcium sensing, cell wall modification, and defense mechanisms. A plant exposed to constant wind may become shorter and sturdier. A plant that is touched frequently might grow more slowly to conserve energy and develop thicker cell walls. These changes increase a plant's resilience and ability to survive in harsh environments. Day 49 the blue amnesia are 44 and 41 inches and the Moby Dick are 39 and 33 inch tall the scrog net is at 29 inches tall from the base of the planters( meaning from the soil measuring upwards). the two plants that were shorter are starting to stretch very fast when the other two plants are just puffing there buds fatter every day and not so much stretching anymore. I thought that the other two that were not stretching as fast as their counterparts we're going to be shorter in size but seems to me they were just maturing at A different speed. also the Moby Dick smells very sweet very nice. thank you for reading and I will continue updating have a happy grow. Day 54 it looks like the plans have been struggling a lot with excessive nutrient inside the pot even after Flushing they're showing lots of ( 1000+ to 2300+)PPM per plant so i decided to buy General Hydroponics flushing product for the next watering cycle to clean them out . Unfortunately it takes some time for somebody to learn how to use properly nutrients and to read signs on the plant because of this it seems that one of the movie dick will be getting much less flower than the other plant because nutrient lockout for excessive nutrients that I didn't notice early on for lack of experience D2 blue anessia are pretty much equally growing despite all of them showing signs of nutrient burn they have to suffer in order for me to learn looks like they stop stretching as well and they're focusing only in become fatter what an incredibly resilient plants. Despite all this they are on the road to recovery and seems to be doing well I will continue updating thank you for reading and have a happy grow.

The plants are healthy and growing and stretching great. Dei are literally exploding in my tent. I changed light cycle to 12/12 now. And gave them the feeding they need to go into flower. Sorry for the bad quality of the pictures but as you may noticed since the new Iphone came out pictures are blurry on snapchat. After feeding you could sit down an watch them grow. 😎💪🌴🍪

They are growing amazing. I suspect 15 degrees celcius night and 25 - 30 degrees celcius at day. All are growing well. The orange sherbert is the leader though. Lemon tree is a little stretchy and the rest are doing decent with more side branching. I keep 60% relative humidity. All were topped at day 22.

Sticky Rice is still a little on the small side, but it has this awesome glossy shine to its leaves. I think it has the potential to really take off. Maybe it'll even live up to its name and produce some super sticky buds. We'll see! Last week was awesome! I finally got around to giving all my plants a little upgrade – I repotted them into some bigger homes. They're all looking so happy and healthy now, it's crazy. I can't wait to see how much they grow this year!
