Yo nailed it down this week should really be end of week 7 flower so 10 weeks total life. Sticking to the plant of1 more week nutes then see if they are ready for flush. Dropped the Bud Burst. It really wasn't working with my tanks and causing a film to build up on the pipework. Flushed mid week with Pure Clean and fresh tank of nutes. Dropped to around 1.4ec and 5.8ph to finish up. They dont look hungry for anything at this point just changing to autumn colours and hardening up. I dont expect the size to change all that much but rather becoming more dense and changing of colours.

Another good week come and gone. A couple of the girls needed nutrients so I add some general hydroponics blend into those that needed them. Didn't seem to make much difference yet. But they are getting into late flower. She's still holding on. Losing all her fan leaves, starting to lose sugar leaves. Not looking good. She needed more nutrients and gave them but didn't seem to help much. * 3rd December - Day 14 from seed * Well, what a week! And I wasn't even here to enjoy it. My partner lovingly tended Nora (we decided to name her) while I was away. Looking at 'germination week', you'll see I was constantly aerating the nutrient solution. For the first 4 days, my partner was pH adjusting the solution (Rhizotonic seems to leave pH constantly climbing - around half a point per day), pouring out any old solution from Nora's 'semi-kratky' pot, then syringing 24ml of solution through the rockwool. As soon as the tap root was around half way down the pot (4th day), we filled the pot so the tap root was just touching a well of nutrient solution within the pot. Each day, the solution was emptied and refreshed - not taking any Pythium chances here. Within the next 3 days the rest of the explosive root growth came bursting through the rockwool. So, time to transport her. Made some changes to the bucket: lots of holes in the rim for LST, full foil-bubble insulation (including around the rim of the net pot , and aluminium tape around the entire silicone air line - zero light leaks), a very large new air stone, and a 25w pump to power it. The pump is ridiculously quiet - not 'quiet for 25w', simply ridiculously quiet. And as you can see, it creates a bucket which looks like a pot on full boil. There's absolutely no way pythium is getting any sort of foothold on this grow. The root explosion made it very easy to position the rockwool cube within the hydroton - the roots are submerged while the rockwool sits just above. Decided to stick with the Formulex as it's doing a grand job, albeit the dose has been kicked up. Swapping the Rhizotonic for Regenaroot as I hear very good things, including that pH remains stable! Will now use Rhizo for foliar applications only.

This week i only added reversed osmose water to the reservoir she drinks more than 4 liters a day. I also added a dehumidifier in the tent to combat high humidity. Day 36 and I just top dressed with Gaia Green lastnight. I went with 50/50 purpose and bloom at 1bspn in a 3 gallon so that’s 1.5tbspns of each. All watered in with Recharge. They have doubled in size over the past few weeks. Looking good.

Welcome to week six! 🌱 Week five was a complete success – all parameters are perfectly aligned. I’ve increased the water conductivity to a solid 3000 and bumped the CO2 level up to 1200 🌿. Light intensity is now set at 1400 µmol in the center and 1000 at the edges, which will keep the plants strong in their generative state 🌞. I’ll maintain these levels until the end of the third week and then start slowly removing the large fan leaves to ensure the buds get plenty of light 💡✨. I’m also trying something new to activate the “Emerson effect” 🌄: I’m running the deep red lights for 5 minutes before sunset and for another 5 minutes after the day ends. This should give the plants a final boost in photosynthesis, helping to maximize their growth potential! Everything’s looking fantastic so far! The Black Cherry has rooted well across different experimental setups, and at the end of the grow, I’ll provide a full report on the best care techniques for both strains 🌺👌.
