Hey everyone! Quick update on the grow. We're officially in week 3, day 2 of veg, and so far, everything’s looking pretty solid. I’ve noticed a bit of slight nutrient burn starting to show on the edges of the leaves, so I’ll need to monitor that. Nothing too serious yet, but I’ll be keeping an eye on it and adjusting if needed. Today I did a little more defoliation to help open up the canopy, and I also topped both plants to encourage some more lateral growth. After topping, I finished off the training with some LST (low stress training) to spread the canopy out and give the lower shoots a chance to catch up. I’m aiming for an even canopy spread, so this should help with that. I gave them a full watering with 3L of pH’d water at 5.8 and 400ppms going in. However, the runoff came out higher than I wanted again, Looks like next feed will be just plain pH’d water to try and bring those numbers down a bit, similar to my last run Everything’s moving in the right direction, though, so I’m feeling good. Week 2 of the flowering phase flew by 🌱💨. Unfortunately, I may have overdone it with potassium or kept the water level too high – the classic signs of clawing leaves were evident. Thankfully, they seem to be recovering now and are back under control 💪🍃. My IR night experiment is showing clear results 🌌: The plants exposed to infrared radiation at night stretched significantly more. This might be especially beneficial for this indica-dominant strain as it leads to better canopy distribution, improved airflow, and reduced risks of mold and disease. Plus, the light distribution is much more efficient now, which I’m excited to see pay off. On the downside, my Orange Sherbert turned hermaphroditic 😔. It’s hard to pinpoint the cause – overfertilization seems unlikely since I’m using only organic nutrients. I suspect it might be linked to an E-field experiment I’ve been running. To confirm this theory, I’ll conduct a new grow with a similar strain next year to see if the electric field negatively impacts cannabis development. Stay tuned for updates! Leider habe ich wohl etwas zu viel Kalium gegeben oder den Wasserstand zu hoch gehalten – die typischen Anzeichen von Adlerkrallen waren sichtbar. Zum Glück scheinen sich diese jetzt zurückzubilden und sind wieder unter Kontrolle 💪🍃. Mein IR-Nachtexperiment zeigt bereits deutliche Ergebnisse 🌌: Die Pflanzen, die nachts mit Infrarotstrahlung bestrahlt wurden, haben deutlich stärker gestretcht. Das ist besonders bei dieser indica-dominanten Sorte wahrscheinlich von Vorteil, da es zu einer besseren Verteilung des Blätterdachs führt. Dadurch verbessert sich die Luftzirkulation, das Risiko von Schimmel und Krankheiten wird minimiert, und die Lichtverteilung wird effizienter. Ich bin gespannt, wie sich das weiter auswirkt! Leider hat meine Orange Sherbert gezwittert 😔. Woran das genau liegt, kann ich schwer sagen. Eine Überdüngung halte ich für unwahrscheinlich, da ich nur biologischen Dünger verwendet habe. Ich vermute, dass mein E-Feld-Experiment eine Rolle spielt. Um das zu bestätigen, werde ich nächstes Jahr einen neuen Durchlauf mit einer ähnlichen Sorte machen und prüfen, ob das elektrische Feld tatsächlich eine ungünstige Rückentwicklung der Pflanze verursacht. 26APR - They grew a little bit this past week. Thinking of topping by the end of this week. Still unsure being my first grow and all. Anyone have suggestions I am open to them. 29APR - all 4 widows were slightly dehydrated and im guessing ots due to being switched from led to a 1000watt MH bulb. Going to keep an eye on them n possibly trim their roots tomorrow. 01MAY - ended up not doing anything to them other than move them around a bit.

A breez to grow 450 grams off 5 plants first ever grow red buds throughout the whole grow

and on it goes. i don't have much to report. due to some very hot days she got alg-a-mic and acti-vera from BIOBIZZ for a better nutrient uptake. she has grown another few centimetres, looks healthy and strong. i had applied LST to her again to get the side shoots more into the sun.

Found 14 zkittles seeds in the big tasty one. 12 chocolate skunk seeds also. Buds looking terrible flushing at the minute to see if I can pluck some for hash or smoke possibly. Tops are going crazy on most plants growing fast! Will be making my own STS solution to use on most females. Really happy with the strains I've got gonna try and bank them all!

Adding SLF 100 and Calmag to feeding. Although everything seems good, I'm going from tap to RO to have maximum control over my PPMs or TDS. Buds are really developing nice and she is still stretching. I appreciate any suggestions. ( Running CalMag, Photosynthesis Plus, and SLF 100)

2018-11-19 Flowering in full swing. Pulling slows down. In the morning, on the day of the compote replacement, my PPM-meter broke down. Therefore, the new solution was kneaded by eye. Tomorrow a new device will arrive and I will clarify what I have mixed there. 2018-11-24 Buds swell, there is time to figure out how to do time lapse video.

Day 69 (March 6th) Just gave everyone their last watering. I’m going to harvest and wash everything tomorrow night on day 70. I‘m not going to do that whole 48 hours of darkness thing because I didn’t see a difference last time I did it. In fact, it made my plant under watered before drying which caused it to dry too fast. Slurricane and cheese will be washed with h2o2 and the rest will just be rinsed off in warm RO water and hung up. Before and after washing I’m going to go over each branch with a flashlight and make sure there is no dog hair or debris in or on the buds. I will be drying in my spare bathroom (that no one uses!) from hangers. Aiming to keep it around 60-62F and 50-60 RH. Hoping for that 10-12 day dry. I wanted to do a full plant hang but the tent got pretty dirty and I would feel more comfortable just cutting and rinsing everything off branch by branch. I’m going to try my best to keep the full plant intact. Got my humidifier hooked up and running RO water because with tap water it deposits calcium and lime all over the buds and walls. For air flow I’m just indirectly running a small usb fan. I’m not worried about air flow in the bathroom honestly. It stays nice and breezy down there anyway. Got the food grade peroxide and RO water to wash up the slurricane and cheese. Everything except for the cheese and garlic#1 is looking more than done. Trichomes all look pretty well done. Some of them have even burst open. Smells are all super ripe and mature too. Can’t wait to smell each individually in jars. Next week I will recap what went wrong and what I will do differently next time to keep it from happening again. (Day 70F) Just got everything chopped, washed and hanging. The vast majority of the PM was washed out but I can still see very small amounts. When they dry out I can shake the branches a bit to get the rest off. At very least it’s sterile now. There is no question I lost some potency while washing but the amount is negligible for a much cleaner product. I could see lots of dirt and other debris float to the surface of the water after being washed. And no those are not trichomes, those sink to the bottom. I could put that nasty water through a bubble bag and wouldn’t get all that much. Although it probably does remove a lot of the actual trichomes heads. I’ll have to check with the microscope. Everything is rigged up for a nice slow dry. Temp is sitting at 64 and RH is at a nice 60%.

D-70 : At this stage, I'm a bit.... surprised that the Desfrans are not taller thant they are. The smallest one is 35cm wich is really small for a 100% sativa strain. The tallest one is about 56cm, wich is also quiet small I think. If I compare with some other diaries, the tallest one could be in the target if we take into account that I trained them a lot during their first weeks. But the small one is almost the half she should be... There's no sign of deficency, none ! I have 420w @ 50 cm from the top, so it's not because of the light. The container is a 20L smartpot. I simply do not understand. Is it juste because of that phenotype ? Will she grow during the next 7-9 weeks untill she'll recover her late ? I Modified a bit the position of the light so the Lumatek 100w FullSpectrum on the side of the box is really pointed to the "slow" girls. We'll see if it change anything but I really doubt about it... The only lead I have is : Desfran loves HEAT and Light. The 2 smallest are on the coldest side of the box, even if it's not cold at all. But it is the side near the window...

Даже высоту лампы я не корректировал, пока меня всё устраивает. Заметно замедлился рост, и мне уже очевидны мои незначительные ошибки по установке решетки, которые я обязательно перечислю в итоговых выводах. В начале следующей недели я собираюсь убрать лишние веерные листься, и подчистить низы, тогда мы и увидим финальную структуру кустов.
