Bruce Banner strain, my friend gave me a seed. Not sure what I'm going to do with this one. I'm going to be focusing on autoflowers this season. I might just put her in a 1 gallon pot and see what happens. I can say this strain has bee good for anxiety. Even though this strain is strong, her high did not give me anxiety. Not sure what I'm going to do with her. I do like the smoke, maybe I will let her get big. IDK

For Bruce. RIP Sure looks like it's giving the middle finger. This plant started out as a plant I did not plan on keeping or growing in a 1 gallon and see what happens. A friend and I where talking and an old friend Bruce came up. So here it is.

She is growing very well. Everyday I need to adjust the tie downs. Last week she went into ten gallon pot and really seems to like it. I originally grew her almost as a joke. She is no joke. I think the only way she could have a bigger canopy is under a trellis, maybe.. Couple more weeks and she will be flowering. Fed 12 MLS, PH Perfect and recharge. Gave her a very slow watering. Watering slow it took almost 2 gallons until overflow. I have not been watering properly. Trickle. She gets fed every 5 days. 1 feeding foxfarm next time PH Perfect. Plus recharge. Looks like she is in stretch. She is getting a little bigger than what I was aiming for. Next year I will start 2 photos a little later. Also a few autos. Better auto strain. The Bruce Banner came from a good breeder in Spain. A friend gave it to me. If I look it up, I will remember who.

Used the clips here. They are very nice for shaping branches. Once the stems got thicker I had to take the clips off. They were digging into the plant. However the branches kept their shape. This plant was my practice plant. Also had a friend named Bruce that died. So I dedicated this plant to him.

This plant is 8 weeks old.7/24 She was transferred to a 10 gallon pot with new Foxfarm oven forest soil. She is in Happy frog, peat, pearl, vermiculite. I almost killed her a few weeks ago. Sprayed soap on it as preventative. She looked bad for a few weeks. Moved her to a 10 gallon pot. I was able to see what was going on with the roots. There was a good size dry pocket. Fabric pot, so all I see are a lot of root ends I put dirt at the bottom of the new pot. Placed the old pot inside the new and cut the old 1 out. There was minimal stress to the plant. The dry spot is fixed, roots growing into new FF ocean forest and topped dressed with castings and shit. The plant is going to go insane the next few weeks before flower. 1 mistake, she is not straight in the new pot. Fed on 7/26 foxfarm. I have to adjust her ties everyday. She just keeps getting wider.

She is fed every 5 days. 8/5 I'm bubbling up a batch of pit bull Stew tea. This is my first time making a tea. Worm castings, bat shit, recharge, kelp, foxfarm grow big and rice water for carbs and starch. Been hearing good things about rice and potatoe water. 8/6 two gallons of tea. 8/11 giving the same tea minus the recharge adding 1/2 teaspoon foxfarm open sesame. Today she is getting a Foxfarm feeding. 8/7. She takes almost 2 gallons until I see run off. She was fed 24 ml per 2 gallons of Tiger Grow. I could have went to 30mls, but like to stay on the safe side. She is about the size I wanted her to be. I prefer no one can see her. Also how much bud do I need. She has been fun to grow. Next year I'm growing 2 outdoor photos different strains. This is my first grow in many years. I beat the crap out of this plant. Tying, pulling and bending. She has branches that look like a W. She should be in flower very soon. I been pulling off the obvious branches that will not make it. Then once she is in obvious flower, I will see if anymore need to be removed. I'm sure there will be a few, have to see what the stretch does. She got well fed this weekend. So I expect a lot more growth.

Very beginning of week 10. She is gearing up for flower. She is stretching, but I keep pulling everything down. She has been 36 inches for a month. She is about 41 wide. 8/13 Her pot was on the dry side. Gave her 2 gallons of water. I'd say 10 percent run off. I use the ph strips. I bring water home from my job. Their water is the perfect PH according to the strips. I test her run off today. Looks like a low 6. 8/14 2 gallons of water with 8 tablespoons of fox farm Big Bloom and 1 teaspoon of recharge. I do like the foxfarm products. Some Big Bloom can make a sick plant healthy. Have to check, think she is ready to be fed. 8/16 per 2 gallons 4 ml Grow Big, 4 ml Tiger Bloom 1/2 teaspoon Open Sesame 8/18 4 Tablespoons Foxfarm Bigbloom and 1/2 teaspoon recharge. Per Gallon 1 day I will get a ph meter. First year spent enough. The plants look very healthy. Unless the strips are completely worthless, she looks to be in her happy place. She was fed very well the past week. I might do 1 more water then feed. She is forming her sites. 8/13. Makes it easy to space the sites out. Also to know what to remove. Have to force myself to cut off what's not making it. Think flower.

8/19. I notice some fading on the older leaves. Looking back at what I been feeding. Looks like I been getting ready for bud, but she hasn't. So tomorrow I'm giving her a solid nitrogen feed. She is growing like crazy. Only makes sense 8/20 Gave her a solid feeding of N. Foxfarm Grow Big. 30 mls in 2 gallons of water. She is getting to be voluptuous, so hopefully I made the right move. 8/22 gallon and a half of tea. This time cow poop and worm castings. She is showing definite signs of flowers. Next watering I'm going to feed her nuits for flowering. Few days ago she was fed a good amount of Foxfarm Grow Big. She is a good size plant, so I'm sure I can get away with another feeding. Just going to make sure there is not a lot of nitrogen. She is forming her colas. Think I'm just starting to see how big she really is. 8/24 and have not had to water for 2 days. Rain and not that hot, however the heat is back. So she is going to be thirsty.

She has started her bloom. She is growing so well. This week I took off all her tie downs. Then 2 days later decided to tie her back down. She has had steady tension on her branches. So when I released her, she tightened back up. With the ties on, there is little reason for defoliation, as of now. She gained height, but nothing crazy. All her main top branches have always been pulled down to be side branches. Everything else was let to grow that came up the center. Really the side branches are the top of the canopy. Surprised I have not broke a branch. 8/26 2 gallons Fed 8 tablespoons Foxfarm Big Bloom, 15 MLS Tiger bloom and Foxfarm Open sesame 1/2 teaspoon. 8/30 Gallon and a half of tea. Cow and worm poop. Every year I'm going to grow a photo in a different shape. This year I just wanted to see how many tops I could make. Looking forward to next year's design. However not as much as I want to see what this voluptuous beauty produces. Voluptuous seems to be very fitting for her. Love this plant, she has been very fun to grow. She also thought me a lot.

9/2 8 tablespoons of Foxfarm Big Bloom 15 MLS Foxfarm Tiger Bloom 1/2 teaspoon Foxfarm Open sesame per 2 gallons. 9/4 32 MLS of each PH Perfect micro, grow and bloom. Per 2 gallons. She needs to be fed more often. 9/7 Two tablespoons of liquid kelp. 1 teaspoon Foxfarm Open sesame. Fed 1 gallon. I have to give her water daily. If I don't the water will not soak into the entire fabric pot. 9/2 is the end of her first full week in flower. She seems to be doing well. Some lower leaves are turning yellow. Not sure if the yellowing is from the leaves not getting sun or not enough food. I pulled some off and fed Keep pulling off little growth spots here and there. Been leaving 3 bud sites per branch. Every once in a while I hit her up with some PH Perfect. Just to make sure everything is in check. I need to get a ph meter. The PH strips have been getting me by. I think I have been able to stay in the ballpark with them. The feedings need to pick up. So what I am going to do is feed every other day. That will be 3xs a week. Then 1 day off to dry out. 9/6 two days of solid rain. 9/7 Another cloudy day. She was covered for the rain, but her fabric pot soaked up a bit of rain. So on 9/7 I'm feeding Foxfarm Open Sesame 1 teaspoon in one gallon of water. The pot is soaked, but that will not last in the sun. She needs more food than I been giving. After the gallon, I will let her dry a bit. Then give another solid feeding with a good amount of run off. For a moment I was wondering, if I was going to need to support for her in flower. Most of her branches are being pulled down. There is steady tension on them. If I were to cut the ropes, the branches would wip up, like a catapult. Her branches are way to strong to need support. I thought this plant was big last month. Her canopy is so large, I could use her as a big umbrella.

8/26 she started showing flower. She has been looking very happy. Her leaves pointing high. Since I have been feeding her more her color has been looking much better. Her green is darker then it has ever been. 9/9 Fed 8 tablespoons Foxfarm Big Bloom 28 MLs Foxfarm Tiger Bloom. 9/11 Gave her a little rice water and regular water. Cloudy and some rain today. Also she is starting to smell from a distance. 9/12 4 tablespoons Foxfarm Big Bloom 12 MLs Foxfarm Tiger Bloom. Couple of cloudy days, so only 1 gallon. 9/15 Fed 1.25 teaspoons of Foxfarm Beasti Bloom. She is not growing anymore and working on her bud. So this is her first week of Beasti Bloom. She seems to be budding ok, don't have anything to compare her to. The way I trained her, she is almost all tops. She is greener than she has ever been before. Also a couple of the lower leaves that where fading a bit. The tips look are browning. The leaves where already fading, so I'm not sure if it's a little nuit burn. None of the top and newer growth leaves have any issues. Still I am going to cut back on the nuits a little. This strain is supposed to be a heavy feeder. So I'm going to cut back, but just a little. Probably drop it down to 2 feedings a week. Very nervous about this part of the grow. My autoflower grows were poor genetics. So I am counting on this plant to hold me over for the winter and even spring. Her leaves are a solid green. So I think she is good on N, so I'm thinking maybe this week I should switch over to the Foxfarm Beasti Bloom. Make sure she is solid with P and K.

She seems to be budding nicely. However in the past few days all her lower leaves are turning yellow. I know this plant is a heavy feeder and I thought I was feeding enough. She is not growing anymore, but she looks like she has a nitrogen deficiency. I do use the same water which has a low 6 ph. Today I gave her water with a 7.0 ph. Just to get her out the constant ph zone she has been in. 9/17 fed 15 MLS of foxfarm Tiger Bloom 9/19 fed 15 MLS of Tiger Bloom. 9/21 fed 4 tablespoons Foxfarm Big Bloom, 1/2 Teaspoon Foxfarm Beasti Bloom and 12 MLS of Foxfarm Grow Big. Per 2 gallons. Day 98 She has a lot of yellow lower leaves. So I hit her up with a little grow big. From what I read, she still needs some nitrogen. Lower leaves turning yellow. Think it's a little too early for that. She is a big eater and it looks like she has not been getting enough base nutrients. Her pot is very heavy, so now I'm going to hold back water until she drys a little. Getting cold out at night. Every morning I go out and she was drenched in dew. This plant I'm counting on giving me bud until at least spring. So now I have been sneaking her in the garage at night with 47 percent humidity. She seems to be very happy about this. Right now 9 pm 60 degrees, humidity 71. Humidity is way too high for her to be sitting outside. Her buds are fattening up. Some time last week I gave her a feeding of just Foxfarm Beasti Bloom. Beasti has no nitrogen and she was not happy about that. A lot of lower leaves turned yellow. So I gave her Foxfarm Tiger Bloom and that seemed to make her happy again. Will not make that mistake again.

She seems to be doing well. Her buds get fatter and more smelly each day. Weather turned a bit cooler. Temps in the day are mid 70s to mid 60s. Nights are in the high 40s mid to upper 50s. So nights would be cold for her. Plus she was getting severe mornings dew. So I bring her in the the garage at night. The temperature in the garage is 70. So she is going to have a warmer night than day. This goes against nature. For some reason I think she will like it. Today I took off all of her LST ropes. My thinking is, she may see the tension as weight. Probably should have taken them off sooner. Bruce Banner strain is a 9 or 10 week flower strain. So I figure she is about half way through flower. Day 100. She has a lot of lower leaves yellowing and falling off. The yellow is starting to move up the branches. This plant is almost all tops. Most coloas are top and 2 nodes under it. There are a few that have 4 or 5 nodes under the top, but they get the light for it. This strain requires a lot of food. This I read from a lot of reviews on the strain. I should have read up the Bruce Banner strain much earlier. Although I think I did a great job with her, considering this was my first serious grow. I did some gorilla growing in my younger days. However I had no idea what I was doing. I use to plant them, give them some water. Then in a few weeks top them and check on them every few days to few weeks. If they were lucky they got some Miracle-Gro. There was not a lot of information on how to grow. I was harvesting way too early. 9/23 1 gallon of water PH 6.2. It's not as hot, so I don't think she needs 2 gallons everyday anymore. Day 100 9/24 Fed 4 tablespoons Foxfarm Big Bloom, 12 ml Foxfarm Tiger Bloom, half a teaspoon Foxfarm Beasti Bloom, 2 tablespoons of Foxfarm Kelp me Kelp you, per 2 gallons of 6.4 PH water. Day 101 9/25 Cloudy day, no need for food or water. Day 102 9/27 Sunny. Made a tea worm castings, poop, some powder baby food and black strap molasses. Also 24 MLs Foxfarm Tiger Bloom, per two gallons. Day 103. Day 103 I see her first orange hairs, just a few. She smells great. She is making some beautiful buds. Very exciting time, she is getting close. She is a short plant, if she were in the ground, she would be about 3 feet tall. She is about 3 and 1/2 feet wide. I had her tied down most of her life. My goal was to keep her as short as I could. I prefer the neighbors not see her. This grow was by design, I wanted her to have as many tops as possible. I bent her branches and did not let them grow straight up. Not sure if I would get more or less if i let the plant grow up. She sure is going to give me many top buds. Either way Im going to have very nice buds. So if there is a weight difference in growing styles I have no way of knowing, until this plant finishes and I grow another style. The weight does not really matter. This will be more bud than I need, for a while.

She is moving right along. She comes inside at night. She makes the entire garage stink and the hallway leading to it. She is a few days into the week. The weather has been cloudy from the hurricane. She is drinking a lot less, have not had to water her in a few days. Supposed to be cloudy for a few more days. She is close to being done, 1 or 2 weeks tops and she will be harvested. 10/2 Day 108. She is drinking very little, it has been very cloudy outside. Don't like her pot sitting around wet. Although at this point there is very little that could cause a serious problem She either comes in the garage or stays on the porch and maybe gets a fan blowing on her. Depending on the humidity. Last couple of days humidity has been in the 50s and windy. I am guessing 1 possibly 2 weeks and she will be harvest ready. First site of an amber tricomb and she is coming down. 9/4 Day 109. Cloudy out and her pot is still heavy. The last time I watered her could be considered a flush. She is on plain water until harvest. She smells so good, very hard to describe, a fruity diesel. 9/5 day 110 Another cloudy and rain day. Will harvest soon. Don't want anything going wrong, I am too close. 9/6 day 111 finally a sunny day after a week of rain or clouds. She is close to being done. The first amber tricomb I see and she is coming down.

10/7 Day 112 I have not watered her in a few days. Looking at her tricombs she looks ready for harvest. She has not been drinking at all. 10/8 day 113 I have noticed the whole plant is darker. Like she turned her lights out. She does not seem to sparkle anymore. All I see are cloudy tricombs. 10/8 day 113 I harvested my Bruce Banner. I took her with all cloudy tricombs. She is a sativa leaner, so I harvested her like a sativa. I will finish this diary after she has dried and a couple of weeks curing. She was wet trimmed with my hands and siccors. The siccors gave me a nice piece of hash. I think I could have made a Chara with her sugar leaves. 3 of my fingers were completely black. She took about 6 hours to trim. Got done around 4 am and all I was thinking about was bed. If want want to read more about this grow, you will have to wait for the harvest page.

This is the first time I have grown this strain. She was done 7 weeks after I saw her first flowers. Outdoor grow. This is also my first time with Grow Diary. Have to say this site sure helps you figure out how to grow. Any problem I had people helped. Also made it easy to keep track of watering and feeding. Great to see what other people used and how their grow turned out. I end with, would I grow this strain again? Maybe there are so many others I want to grow. I have 6.5 ounces of Bruce Banner. I might just be all Bannered out after that. This plant was grown with an old friend in mind. RIP Bruce
