D28 - The first day in the fourth week of veg for Nordle #2 and the start of the third week for #1. I gave both girls around 2.5-liters of the compost tea I started brewing yesterday, and for once, I remembered to check the pH and adjust it to 6.5. Yay, progress! D29 - Today, it was finally time to top the second girl. She was already seven nodes tall, around 30 cm. First, I got everything together as I prefer to have what I need before starting instead of running around looking for something mid-process: Snips, a couple of glasses with water to put cuttings in, bonsai wire and soil staples, clone-gel and a new razor blade, dwc cloner, peppermint oil and Q-tip. After cleaning the snips thoroughly with alcohol, I topped her just above her fourth node. I'm going to mainline her, so I removed everything below the fourth as well. She went from a lush lady to a stick figure! I secured her remaining two branches using staples and wire. The final touch in the tent was to put some peppermint oil on a Q-tip. Bugs and pests are attracted to the scent of injured plants. On the other hand, they hate the smell of peppermint oil, and it should deter the critters even though the girl smells like a buffet. I bought this tiny DWC system for a few bucks off Amazon a while back and want to try it as a cloner. (The primary purpose of this cloning project is to practice taking clones, plus see how well this hydro system works.) I trimmed each cutting before lightly scraping the stalk, making a fresh cut with the razor blade, and finally into a net-pot. I had planned to put some clone-gel into the water, but it turned out that the bottle had gone bad since last time. Oh well, pure water for this test run then. Finally, I cut up all the removed leaves and stalks into small pieces and distributed them on top of the soil in the pot. Have to keep that nutrition cycle going. Plus, like this, I don't have to worry about safely disposing those telltale leaves. Win-win in my book. D34 - The final day in the fourth week of veg for Nordle #2 and the end of the third week for #1. #2 has recovered great after her first topping, and I'm planning on doing her second topping tomorrow, six days after the first. #1 is a week behind so I'm planning on topping her in a couple of days as I want to make sure that her fourth node is at the same height as the fourth node on the second girl. The clones are looking really healthy but no roots yet but maybe that is to be expected considering that I'm using no rooting hormones.

Day 50 - Starting week 8 and she’s as good as she can be right now. After reading some advice I may be giving her too much water so gonna slow down how much I give her from here on out. Even though this girl won’t produce as much as I’d like, I’ll still get something and will be growing another one soon. Day 52 - She still seems to be doing ok right now and the leaves are starting to fade a bit so will probably give her another round of nutes in the next couple of days but it might be too little to late for this girl. Day 53 - She’s starting to put on a bit of weight now. All her bud sites are all starting to lean over so might have to start using the yo-yo’s to keep her propped up. She’s just about dry so she’ll get some water tomorrow. Day 54 - She’s still doing good right now and gave her about half a gallon of water and nutes today. She still seems to be fattening up on a few of the buds but some are still pretty fluffy. She’s still pretty young right now so holding out hope that she’ll beef up, though I’m not seeing much more pistil development but all her trichs are still clear with a couple cloudy mixed in there. Day 55 - All still going well but nothing much to speak of right now. She took well to the watering yesterday and just took her out for some updated pictures and such.

Cindy was a good plant. I dont had luck with the other planned ones, but not everytime gets everything good. I chopped the whole plant and defoliate a little bit. She's in the tent with 20,3°C and 53% Humidity.

Day 70 Well I think I will give them another week and harvest.Showing lots of trichomes that are mostly cloudy so I’ll let them go a bit longer.The tallest girl is at 40 inches and suffered some fox tailing I’m gonna say from when I pounded them with light for a week or so 😆.Even though she fox tailed and will not have the most dense buds she smells super strong and loaded with trichomes.Of the 5 Runtz the shortest has the chunkiest most dense buds.The other 3 were very big producers and took the LST great branching out forming tons of colas.Ill try to let them dry out this week and place in the dark for a day or so before chopping.Unfortunately in my area we have heavy rains all week humidity may become a problem so I will add a dehumidifier soon.

Hello guys, today the plants reach end of week 7 of flower. Nr.2 is ripening pretty fast and Nr.1 had a little bit of a grow boost. I‘m not sure when to harvest them but i‘ll try to keep the temperature cool and the lights slightly higher. The leaves are taking a more yellowish colour. This run it doesn‘t seem that the buds are going to get purple but i won‘t give up hope yet. 🙏

Day 43 - First day of week 7 today and she looks really good just not sure if she’s really starting to flower yet. I’m hoping this is just typical of the GC strain. Day 44 - No major changes, she’s growing and I’m loving the looks of her. Will continue uploading daily pictures. Day 45 - She’s looking really good and budding more and more each day. Gave her straight pH’d water today and tomorrow and will give her another feeding on Saturday. She’s drinking almost a gallon of water a day. Day 46 - Things are looking good with this girl. Bud sites are growing daily and this thing is a beauty. Gave her another feeding of just pH’d water and will “feed” her tomorrow. Day 47 - ALL is looking good and she’s looking purdy. Gave her a feeding with the foxfarm nutes today. Did a true measurement to the biggest branch and she’s at 25.5”. Will continue to measure each day to see how much she’s growing in a 24 hour period. Day 48 - Looking gorgeous and still stretching. Grew another two inches and is sitting at 27.5” right now. She’s really starting to fill in now and looking forward to the next few weeks. Day 49 - The way thing thing is growing, she’s gonna be a beast. Gave her straight pH’d water tonight and will give her a feeding tomorrow. Looks like she finally stopped stretching, sitting at 27.5” still so hopefully she’ll start putting on the weight.

She is ripe, danky, sticky, full of resin, solid, and I am pleasently suprised at the yield. This is not your ordinary Auto Afghan variety. She produces heavy buds and a lot of them. This is also the first auto I have grown using DWC in 12 weeks without manipulation - 18 hours straight from start to finish. I pushed her to the limit. Now she will hang in the closet at 50-55% RH and 70 degrees F, for about 7-10 days curing. Then she will trimmed and put into one quart glass mason jars, with 62% Boveda TurpShield and burped until 62% RH is maintained. The full potency potential and terp profile will be reached in about 30-45 days. 📆 19 July 2024 The Smoq Report: After 7 days of hanging, she was ready to cut. I trim and shape each individual bud, removing unwanted leaf and stem. It’s a process but worth it if you smoke bud. Her potency is evident. It will take the experienced smoker to a satisfying high and keep you there for a good hour or more before you want another hit. The smell and taste is of a typical Afghan. I was expecting a heavier yield, but in the end I guess we all hope for a little more! Gold Sativa is growing good. Still running high on her tds. She actually broke a branch pulling on anchor. I imagine I need to apply extra anchors vs moving it to prevent this. Plus my silica level is probably too strong since everything else lower drastically. Makes the plants tougher, and not as flexible. Always learning as I go. 22/5 just given them 20l fresh water per tray which is done (2 times a week). Feed schedule 📅 changed 2.4ml per ltr (bloom) 1.8ml per ltr (micro) 0.8ml per ltr (grow) 10ml per 20 ltr tray. (Flowerbomb) Had a problem with (smaller plants) tray. Which was too with pump luckly i have a spare so have changed them over. I have kept this tray on a pre Flower schedule now they have a better pump i believe they will pick up speed. So far so good fingers crossed 🤞 😊
