Day 70. Looking gorgeous. Day 74. Starting flush

Another week has flown by! The girls are doing great, cruise control this week as I have just been monitoring RH and temps. Trying to keep them as low as possible, I’ve been getting as low as 74 during the day and 68 at night. I finally took a look a look at the trichomes with my jewellers loop, lots of cloudy, and a few amber around the leaves and top colas, but still lot’s of clear trichomes. I’ve ordered myself a wireless/usb digital microscope to assist with the process, and looks like it will be here just in time to determine harvest day. 😎🎄 I started by eliminating the nutrients at the beginning of the week. I typically allow for 3-4 pure water feeds before I harvest, and at the rate they have been drinking, this should be enough to get through the 7-12 days they have before harvest. I don’t flush, but rather “rinse” with normal water amounts, allowing the plant to use up the remaining nutrients in the soil. This also allows me to recover most of the soil from my grows and reuse ♻️ with other soil mix. There has been great debate and a great deal of bro science out there for many years, but the recent studies suggest there is no difference in end result when it comes to flushing or using nutrients right until the end, if a proper dry and cure is performed. Royal Queen seeds easy start, first time used excellent results, 100% germination rate, All seeds have popped and have been transplanted in three to four days. Very happy on to start of veg

reduced lights to 50% (250w) buds getting incredibly big and resinous scent is very strong when i open up the tent i'll give them another 2 weeks till harvest

Day 106 The close-up view shows very healthy flowering development. Buds are stacking up nicely with dense clusters forming and plenty of white pistils still visible, showing that the plant is still actively flowering. The trichome production is already significant, giving the buds a frosty appearance. The sugar leaves around the buds are coated with resin, a good indicator of potency.

Bertha is the weakest of my six plants. Final LST done day 36. Day 37: More of the same. Bertha's days are numbered. Day 39: I've just about had enough. This plant has been utterly disappointing. Day 40: Almost pulled her yesterday. However until or unless I desperately need the space I've decided to let her trundle along. I think <10g is the potential yield at this point. However I've been surprised before. In my first grow I had bare sticks that yielded 60 and 70g dry so who knows? Day 41: Slight smell. Smells good... Bertha has a reprieve. Day 42: End of the week for tiny Bertha she's fully flowering for sure but not much is happening. I might drop down to weekly updates for this lady, I am less and less interested in her. Looking back on this grow, I predicted in week 1 (day 7) that she would be stunted, so I do not know why I have allowed myself any anxiety around this grow. The only reason that I had some encouragement was because Karen recovered so well, but I did not damage Karen's roots on day 7... really of all the various mistakes in this grow, that was the one that was most impactful. With that said, I do think I was sent a runty little seed. Anyway, I am calm about Bertha now... she will do what she will do. My only slight irritation is that she is in a 40l pot and she would probably be fine in a 10l pot. I have space for 3 more big pots... I have two Auto Purple OG Punch germinating (fingers crossed), and they will get a pot each and the final pot will contain some new F1 seeds from Royal Queen Seeds. So Bertha is safe, I am already growing more plants than I planned to and I have to stop somewhere or I will end up with plants coming out of my ears.

Did some minor defoliation, and added final nutes before flush. Although stunted in veg, the outer two smaller plants are flowering well, thickening up, and smelling dank af... the center largest plant is still dealing with some type of deficiency that's been very difficult for me to diagnose. It's still chugging along with lots of bud spots, but the kolas aren't nearly as thick and seem like they might turn out larfy. It's also drinking the same amount of water much more slowly than the other two smaller plants... kinda strange right? Ps. I kinda f-ed up the compost tea and fed it to the plants before knowing it... I let the tea brew for 72 hours and should have stopped at 48 hours... plants didn't seem to mind too much though (I don't think the center plant's deficiencies have anything to do with the overripe tea.) and don't pay any mind to my nute percentages, I can't deal with that rn 😂

Meanwhile, Bad Guy is thriving! Eating well and growing rapidly. Only one main-lining step left before transitioning the entire tent to flowering.
