๐ 8ร8 Adventure โ Week 15 ๐ฟ
Blueberry Muffin โ Pheno A
โค๏ธ The Survivor's Final Chapter Begins โ From the 8ร8 Jungle to the Macro Photography Studio!
Hello everyone, my friends! ๐๐ฑ
First of all, a little apology!
As you probably know by now, we have quite a lot of content to share from this final stage of the 8ร8 Adventure. And unfortunately, GrowDiaries gives us a maximum of 30 photos per report.
Thirty photos.
๐
For a project with this many plants, this many details, and this much photography, that's not exactly generous!
So we're going to divide the final reports into several parts, just as we've been doing with the other girls. This allows us to give each plant the attention she deserves without leaving out all the little details that make these diaries special.
And today, we're starting with one of our little survivors.
๐ Blueberry Muffin Pheno A!
This girl has had quite a journey.
She was never the fastest plant in the room. In fact, both Blueberry Muffin sisters have been taking their sweet time throughout this 12/12-from-seed experiment.
While some of their neighbours seemed to be racing through their flowering development, these two decided that they had their own calendar.
๐๐
But beautiful plants don't need to be fast plants.
And this little lady has given us plenty to appreciate along the way.
Let's take a look at how her story reached its final chapter!
โโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโ
๐ A LITTLE RECAP โ THE SURVIVOR
For anyone joining us now, this project started with a simple but interesting experiment:
Growing different genetics from seed under a 12/12 light schedule from the very beginning.
No traditional vegetative period.
Just the plants, their genetics, and the same shared environment.
And what a journey it has been!
Blueberry Muffin Pheno A was one of the slower girls in the room. She remained relatively compact, developed at her own pace, and consistently reminded us that not every phenotype follows the same timeline.
Her flowers, however, were always worth watching.
Beautiful structures, lovely colours, and an increasingly interesting appearance as the weeks passed.
We documented her development week after week, including the little changes that might easily go unnoticed when looking at the room as a whole.
And now, as we approached the end of her journey, we had one more little change to make.
โโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโ
๐ก A NEW LITTLE HOME FOR THE FINAL DAYS
During this final stage, we moved Blueberry Muffin Pheno A and her sister into a smaller tent.
They needed a little extra time there, resting for a few more days than the rest of the room before reaching their own finishing point.
So, while the other girls were already moving through their respective final stages, our Blueberry Muffin sisters had a slightly different schedule.
And that's perfectly fine.
This was still part of the same experiment, and we wanted to give them the time they needed rather than rushing their individual timelines.
By the end of the week, it was harvest time for our little survivor.
๐๐ธ
And what a beautiful way to close her journey!
โโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโ
๐ธ THE FINAL LOOK โ BEAUTIFUL FLOWERS AND AN AMAZING SMELL
Before we get too deep into the photography, let's talk about the plant herself.
Because that's what brought us here in the first place!
Blueberry Muffin Pheno A finished her journey with some beautiful-looking flowers.
The photographs included in this report show her final appearance in the tent, allowing everyone to see how she looked during those last days.
And the smell?
Absolutely beautiful!
This is one of those moments when I wish photographs could carry aromas with them.
๐๐
Unfortunately, we're still waiting for that technology!
For now, you'll have to take my word for it. The aroma was something I really enjoyed, and I'm genuinely looking forward to sharing more about this girl once we get to her smoking bud report.
And believe me, my friends, you don't want to miss that one.
We'll leave the detailed impressions, flavours, and final thoughts for the next chapter.
For now, let's appreciate the plant and the work that went into documenting her.
โโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโ
๐ธ BEHIND THE SCENES โ THERE'S A LOT MORE TO A PHOTO THAN YOU THINK!
Now, this is one of the things I really wanted to include in this report.
Because people see the finished photographs, scroll through them, maybe leave a comment, and move on.
And that's completely understandable!
But there's quite a bit happening behind the scenes before one of those final images reaches the diary.
For this Blueberry Muffin, we went a little deeper into our macro photography.
And I mean DEEP. ๐๐ฌ
We're including photographs from the studio, some behind-the-scenes moments, and even a little video showing the camera taking the photographs.
I want people to have a better idea of the process.
The equipment.
The setup.
The positioning.
The patience.
The little adjustments.
And, most importantly, the passion behind it.
Because macro photography isn't simply pointing a camera at a flower and pressing a button.
There's a whole process behind every image, and sometimes a single photograph represents quite a bit of work.
I know it's difficult to understand unless you've tried it yourself.
But that's precisely why I enjoy sharing these moments.
I want you to see a little more of what happens outside the final picture.
๐๐ธ
โโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโ
๐ฌ MACRO PHOTOGRAPHY โ 35 TO 666 PHOTOS IN A SINGLE STACK!
And here comes the fun part!
For this session, we went quite deep into focus stacking.
Some of the stacks were relatively small, starting at around 35 individual photographs.
Others required considerably more.
And our maximum for this session?
โค๏ธ 666 PHOTOS IN ONE STACK!
Yes, six hundred and sixty-six!
๐๐ฌ
For anyone unfamiliar with focus stacking, here's a quick explanation.
When photographing very small subjects at high magnification, the depth of field becomes extremely limited.
That means only a very small portion of the subject may appear in focus in a single photograph.
Focus stacking is a technique where multiple photographs are taken at slightly different focus distances.
Those images are then combined to produce one final photograph with a much greater area in focus.
Instead of relying on a single image, we're combining information from many individual frames.
And depending on the subject, the magnification, and the amount of detail we want to capture, that can mean dozens, hundreds, or even more photographs.
In this session, we went from approximately 35 frames all the way to 666.
That's a lot of photographs for one final image!
๐๐
But when you look at the finished results, you can start appreciating why we do it.
Tiny details become visible.
Structures that are difficult to appreciate with the naked eye become much easier to explore.
And the photographs allow us to look at these flowers from a completely different perspective.
It's a little world inside a little world.
๐ฌ๐ธ
โโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโ
? WAIT... IS THAT A GNAT?!
Now, because apparently even our macro photography sessions need a little comedy...
We also managed to capture a gnat!
๐?
And not just a random blurry little insect somewhere in the background.
We went in close enough to show the details!
We've included a zoomed-in view so everyone can find our little visitor more easily.
Consider it a small photographic treasure hunt.
Can you spot the gnat?
๐๐
It's actually a nice example of what macro photography can reveal.
Things that might be almost invisible when looking at the plant normally can become surprisingly detailed when you start exploring the image at high magnification.
And sometimes, you discover something you weren't even looking for!
So, enjoy the little gnat hunt.
I certainly wasn't expecting it to become part of the report!
โโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโ
๐ฅ THE STUDIO โ SHOWING THE WORK BEHIND THE IMAGES
We're also including several photographs from the studio.
You'll see Blueberry Muffin in the photography setup, the equipment, the camera, and some of the behind-the-scenes moments from the session.
There's also a little video showing the camera taking photographs.
I think this is important because I want the community to understand that these diaries aren't just about growing a plant and taking a quick picture every week.
There's a lot of time and passion invested in documenting the journey.
The growing is one part.
The photography is another.
And then there's the editing, the focus stacking, selecting the images, writing the reports, organising everything, and putting it all together.
Sometimes a single diary update represents hours of work.
And that's before we even start talking about all the other plants in the room!
๐๐
I genuinely enjoy doing it, though.
Because I don't just want to show people what the plants look like.
I want to share the details, the process, the observations, and a little bit of the world behind the camera.
Hopefully, these behind-the-scenes moments give you a better appreciation of the work that goes into every report.
โโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโ
๐ฑ THE 12/12-FROM-SEED EXPERIMENT โ EVERY PLANT HAS HER OWN STORY
Looking back at this Blueberry Muffin, one thing remains particularly interesting to me.
She was slower than many of the other plants sharing the room.
And yet, she developed beautifully in her own way.
That's one of the main reasons I wanted to document each phenotype individually throughout this adventure.
We had different genetics sharing the same general environment, and the differences between them became part of the story.
Some moved quickly.
Some took their time.
Some developed very different structures.
And some surprised us along the way.
Blueberry Muffin Pheno A certainly belongs to the slower group.
But she also reminded us that there's more to a plant's journey than how quickly she reaches the finish line.
Same adventure.
Different genetics.
Different expressions.
And plenty of interesting things to learn.
๐๐ฟ
โโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโ
โค๏ธ WHAT'S NEXT? THE SMOKING BUD REPORT!
Now, my friends, we're not finished with this girl just yet.
Not even close!
This report is the beginning of her harvest story.
We've shown you the final days in the tent, the move into her temporary little home, and a good part of the photography process.
We've also gone deep into macro photography, with stacks ranging from 35 to 666 photographs, and even found ourselves a little gnat along the way.
๐๐ฌ
But there's another part of the story waiting for us.
The actual final bud report!
We'll come back with more details about the flowers, the final impressions, the aromas, flavours, and the smoking experience.
And I'm genuinely looking forward to sharing that with everyone.
The smell was already amazing, and I'm curious to see how the final experience develops.
So stay tuned!

๐ FINAL THOUGHTS โ ONE LITTLE SURVIVOR, ONE BEAUTIFUL JOURNEY
And here we are.
Blueberry Muffin Pheno A.
Our little survivor.
She wasn't the fastest girl in the 8ร8.
She certainly didn't rush through her flowering journey.
But she gave us beautiful flowers, an amazing smell, and plenty of interesting moments to document.
We moved her with her sister into a smaller tent for those final days, gave her a little more time, and reached harvest by the end of the week.
And before closing this chapter, we decided to give her the full photography treatment.
From the final tent pictures to the studio, from the behind-the-scenes videos to the macro photographs, and from 35-frame stacks all the way to 666...
We wanted to capture as much of her story as possible.
Because every plant deserves to be documented properly.
And every little detail has a story of its own.
๐๐ธ๐ฌ
So, my friends, thank you for joining us for this first part.
The next chapter will bring us closer to the final impressions of this little Blueberry Muffin.
And believe me...
You don't want to miss the smoking bud report!
Growers Love, my friends, and happy growing! ๐ฑ๐๐
See you in the next chapter of the 8ร8 Adventure...
where our little survivor gets her final review,
the macro lens keeps discovering tiny worlds,
the gnat gets its fifteen minutes of fame...
๐?
and we keep celebrating every little detail of this beautiful journey.
Let's grow, document, share, and keep learning together! ๐
