In general, I liked growing this variety, the only thing is a lot of small leaves, it is not very convenient to cut, but the colas are very dense and weigh well, there are also many small stepsons, although I cleaned up during unnecessary time, powdery mildew appeared after the rain, which is difficult get rid of the large number of leaves on the plant, and it's very good)

~ FASTBUDS TESTER #2204 ~ Well friends, here we go on another 'canna-venture' together! The grow room has had a complete remodel and some upgrades done to it including brand spanking new 4x8 and 4x4 tents and a Trolmaster Hydro X controller along with a new Control Panel. This tester strain is one of six tester strains that FastBuds has graciously provided me with and I'm looking forward to seeing what this girl has to offer when she's grown to her full potential! One drawback of 'testers' is I have little to no information on it other than its number and that it's an autoflower... 🤪 But, it's ALWAYS a blast growing them for me because not knowing a lot allows me to just concentrate on the essentials: Light, Environment, Water, Nutrients and possibly a bit of LST... not complicated, just basics like keeping a constant temperature and RH in the tent at a level that gives a good VPD, watering when almost dry and maintaining proper light levels according to their stage of growth. ____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ ~THE SETUP~ ~Initially seeds were lightly scuffed, then soaked for 3 hours in 78℉ distilled water after which they were transferred to moist paper towels laid out in a Jiffy Pellet plastic starter tray with lid. Underneath the tray was placed a Vivosun Heat Mat with Controller that was set to 78℉ where they stayed until their tap roots emerged. ~Planted into Jiffy Peat Pellets that were hydrated with distilled water warmed to 78℉ with a 7.0 ph. ~Once roots emerge from the Jiffy Pellet they're transferred to their fabric pots. ~Grown 100% organic in a 4g Gronest fabric pot and a 3g fabric pot by Wraxly filled with Mother Earth 70/30 Coco/Perlite medium and initially amended with Dr. Earth 4-4-4 / Earthworm Castings / Dr. Earth Flower Girl 3-9-4 and Coast of Maine Stonington Blend Organic Plant Food 5-2-4. ~19/5 light cycle for the entire run with supplemental UVA added during flower. Lights are controlled by a Trolmaster Hydro X controller set for a 15min Sunrise/Sunset simulation. ~Top dressing every 3-4 weeks with slow release dry amendments and Earthworm castings. ~Straight water ph'd @ 6.2-6.8 when needed and bi-weekly Compost Tea's. ____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Weekly Updates: 12/15- Here we go into the second week of veg for the FastBuds Tester #2204 girls and they're on a roll!When I checked on them today they both were still moist so I let them go until I check them tomorrow. Basically at this point in the run all I have to do is make sure they don't dry out, fill the humidifier and watch them grow! 12/17- Yesterday I watered them both and increased the amount to roughly 0.25g each of de-chlorinated water with 3ml/g of Botanicare Silica Blast (added to begin to help strengthen their branches) and then ph'd to 6.4 @ 74℉. I've also increased the output of the HLG 650R's to 35% which equates to about 230w at the wall which, of course has raised the temp's in the tent so I've also begun to run the A/C unit in the grow room which is keeping the temp's now at 75℉ in the tent. The RH is running around 75-78% RH giving a VPD of .67-.74 which I'll take! 😁👍 Other than what I've mentioned above, all I did was fill the humidifier with distilled water and watched my girls grow! 🤩 12/19- Today I watered them each with 0.25g of de-chlorinated water to which I added 3ml/g Fish Head Farms Fish Sh!t and 1 tsp/g Unsulfured Molasses which I then ph'd to 6.3 @ 74℉. I'm now watering through the bottom, filling the drip pan and letting the plant draw up the water into itself. I am also watering from the top, but only just enough to moisten the medium. They're really starting to take off now, a sure sign their roots are beginning to get well developed. Their 4th set of leaves have emerged and as they get bit bigger I may give topping, one or both, some consideration... we'll see! 12/21- Today I watered them both with 0.25g of straight de-chlorinated water each which was ph'd to 6.3 @ 74℉. I gave about 3/4 of it into their drip pans so they can draw it up into their medium, the rest I applied to the top of their medium just to moisten it. They're both doing fantastic with good color and vigor! They're not very tall and judging by their leaf shape and overall structure I'd say they are definitely leaning towards the Indica side of the gene pool! I'm holding off on deciding whether or not to top them, but will make a decision in the next couple of days! Well there's two weeks of veg behind us now, Week Three of vegetation is beginning and they should really start to take off! 😍👍 😎💚 Thank you for checking out my passion in life! Some of you may have wondered: Why do I use CO2 at average 950 ppfd μmol/m2/s (moral flow)? The answer is quite simple. Because of lack of space in some regions of my cultivation area, I simply cannot keep the ideal distance to my Sanlight high-performance lamp, due to some height growth of various strains. And so some of the main colas have ppfd values of 1250 μmol/m2/s and even more... So this is how I manage to achieve and compensate for such high radiation levels even with a CO 2 balance. And I have to say, my strategy to avoid various light stress symptoms works just fabulously. In combination with CO 2 implementation, my babies are simply unbeatably insensitive to light. Thats it! Beginning of 3rd week flowering: Again feeding my babies by 36 hours fermented potions of Bio Tabs Kompost Tea PK-Booster (15 g pro Liter) and added: 5ml Orgatrex/Liter 1 Spoon of Bactrex 1 Spoon of Mycotrex 1 Spoon of Mycco-Vital 1 Spoon of Dynomyco A little tip for those who are interested in small modifications that have a big difference or influence - on the result - effect - beauty - health - taste! Before adding microorganisms or beneficial bacteria or Mycorrizae and Trichodermas, please use oxygen-saturated water. On the one hand, unwanted chlorine gases evaporate and the small world of the microbiome becomes even faster and more rewarding in compost tea to sprout. Last but not least for this week, I would like to introduce my reasons, why I prefer growing biologically and sustainably. First of all, it’s something which suits very well in these times/days we are living now. Sustainability is a big need and task for our planet. 🌎 Nature means life. Our home, the air we breathe and everything that surrounds us. Not just today. Hopefully tomorrow as well. Maybe I'm starting to protect our environment on a small scale, but maybe I can also make a big difference at all. If you change the way you look at things, the things you look at change... I thought about what’s the difference, between Mineral Feeding and Super Soil Feeding. It’s very easy. Biologically Growing is a similar process than the natural soil activities out there in the lap of nature’s. So plants has to work and interact with the microorganisms and microbiomic communities in the soil. So the plants will never get lazy like the lazy ones of mineral feeding growers. If you grow biologically, you will feed the soil first and the microorganisms will support every parameter next to your plant conditions. And that will generate an unbelievable spectrum of Terpenes and Trichomes you will never forget. It’s the same comparison, when you daily visit McDonalds and you eat only fast food. Addendum for Day 53: At the moment we unfortunately have another winter onset here in Germany. This means that I am forced to take additional heating measures due to structural facts in order to be able to keep the temperatures constant. After all, just tonight the thermometer climbs again to -1 degree Celsius. In addition, my exhaust air system runs out of my bedroom terrace and I therefore grow winter and summer with the patio door open. Well, sometimes I experience real weather-related challenges. But all in all, no problem... "Where there's a will, there's a way." Addendum to pouring out the fermented PK tea: I always administer half a liter of lukewarm aerated water with 3.5 ml of cannazyme per liter to each plant. This means that the "root machine" is not supplied with supplies unprepared and the nutrient solution can thus also be better distributed in the soil. Since I also work with cloth shoes, I spray them evenly moistened everywhere with water that is also warm before pouring them out from the outside. This has the advantage that the moisture stays where it should: in the pot! ... I did the math today ;-) We are still in week 7 until this Friday. And week 8 starts on Friday! OMG... still so much time yeahh! Today my Fast Buds Sour Jealousy and Sweet Seeds Big Devil and Dark Devil Automatics arrived. I'm looking forward to it. This time Fast Buds next Time Sweet Seeds. Love them too. Very beautiful genetics. Today a review video of the beginning of week 3. At the time of the pictures, I had minor signs of nitrogen excess. (Light peaks first at the crown of the roof and then slightly continuing to the middle section.) I then painstakingly racked my brains as to why this could be. I found that very slight dry spots had formed and therefore the root found small accumulations of nitrogen that caused its problems. But then, when I carefully homogeneously checked the moisture content in the substrate, the problem evaporated again. However, they had not shown any loss of growth rate during this time. Nevertheless, they developed as expected. They Strawnanas had no problem with that. In the end, I always have a hard time killing them. But I guess that's the way things go. We live and die. Hey guys . A wonderful week goes by with a super growth :-). After I topped it for the first time last week, it recovered very quickly and showed great growth. I don't think I will use topping again on the lady because I should slowly blossom with a few other women :-) think it will be ready in the next 7-14 days for Flowering 👍. This week it was poured 3 times with 1 l each time (for nutrients, see table above). The tent was cleaned and the health of all women was checked :-). After the photos she was sprayed again with neem oil so that the last little tripse disappeared. Even if you can't see any more trips I will spray it one last time next week to make sure :-). 12/17/23 - Day 41 - It flipped to flower today. I didn't document it via video because it's just like all the other videos. Except this change uses different level of the nutes for Flowering. Alot of the bud sites have tons of pistles on them. The plant itself is so round and bushy. The plants branches are very close together. There is a video up there of me using the software to change from veg. to flower. I'll update you tomorrow once the lights come on. Now I only get 12 hrs of light instead of 18. 12/18/23 - Day 42 - FLOWER POWER! Look at those flowers starting to form! It looks amazing!!!!! I think starting from a good seed is better than a clone. If this ends up better than the last grow..... it's already off to a better start. The leaves looks super healthy. 12/23/23 - Day 47 - What a WEEK! The whole family got sick and I was the lone ranger on the battlefield taking care of all the units! So posting had to take a back seat! I did manage to grab some pictures during those days. I posted them up top. This week is the first week of Flower, and its going great! As you can see in the pictures that the buds are starting to take off from the bushy part of the plant. I installed a second Scrogg net, the buds are already starting to launch upwards and I can tell they are going to need some support as they get bigger. The Leaf box has been taking great care of the nutes, humidity, temp, and lighting. There is only one thing that I have had to do manually. Toward the last day of the week, the day before the water change the PH seems to dip down to 5.5. It's not a bad thing to be there for a couple of hours, but it is the lowest range I would ever let PH go in a hydroponic (DWC) setup. I have been adding 2 cap fulls of PH+ to get the PH in check. To be honest, adding 2 caps full of PH+ once a week is NOTHING. I feel like it's the least I could do. The box is creating the perfect environment. It's the perfect Cannabis Oasis, I treat my girls to the finest of living before the end. :) Happy growing and I'll post again after the water change tomorrow! 2024.09.12 D64 Its been two busy week, as i trim the 1 pond mother, get aknowledge that my wife use my grow sniper two pruned is badly infested rose bush, since 2 week and never proper clean it whith alcool.😱😱😱😷 in result a massive PM & mithe contamination in my grow tent... 😱😭😷😭 all plant have been shoot with H2O2 at 0.5% and set ouside for 2 day, wich turn to be rainy as f***, until i clean and serilized everything, twice and run the hepa filter .😷😰 the plant look ok, lightly over wartered, but no more pest or PM sign as they return in the tent.. 3 days later PM hardly bonce back, no choice to use more agressive treatment so they all have been shoot with saffer's defender 3 in 1. after 3 shoot in 24h and another tent desinfection we should have get rid of it 🙏 8 day laters everything look fine👍, all damage leaf have been removed, i also prune some unrelevant lower and inner grow

Fed/watered with 1 gallon of the above listed nutrients, every 3 days. (when the growing medium becomes 95% dry) Gave her a light selective de-leafing, to open up the inner bud-sites to more light. The timelapse shows me why I won't be transplanting like this again. (Slow growth/lost time from constricted root mass)

- I didn't weight wet buds. - The trichomes photos have been taken just before the harvest on buds all over the plants. - The hash balls were : a little less than 1cm diameter for the Mandarin Punch#1 and around 3mm diameter for the Mandarin Punch#2 - Drying was made at 20°C and around 50% of humidity. - Humidity in jar around 50% on the first day, temperature around 20°C. MANDARIN PUNCH #1 Veg time : 44 days. Flowering time : 70 days. Total time from seed to harvest : 114 days. Height : 142cm Pot size : 26l Harvest : 61g MANDARIN PUNCH #2 Veg time : 45 days. Flowering time : 67 days. Total time from seed to harvest : 112 days. Height : 123cm Pot size : 10l Harvest : 41g

The CBD Red Pure also showed a severe lack of magnesium and potassium. I therefore increased the Bloom fertilizer to 8mg/l once. I use organic fertilizer here and this strain seems to show a high demand for nutrients. However, we are in the last few weeks and I am sure that I will get them through until then. Again, learned a lot from this grow but I think I will try a new fertilizer after this grow as I am reaching my limits with the organic fertilizer scheme here.

Harvest only 13g dried weight. Little plant but trimmed all leaves possible, no dead weight. From seed to harvest in around 70 days. Will update smoke report later.

*If anyone read through my GDP diary, this is going to be mostly the same stuff. So, sad day friends. I got spider mites and had to throw all my plants out. This is what I think happened: About 2-3 weeks ago I noticed some freckling on the lower leaves. I looked at it and thought it might be a cal/mag issue so I added cal/mag that week and went about my business. I saw it about a week later and it wasn't getting any better so I added more cal/mag. This continued for about 2-3 weeks until I finally took off a leaf and examined it under my microscope. I saw little bugs crawling everywhere and my stomach just dropped. My fiance did some quick research while I was panic ripping leaves off (see pictures) and she correctly diagnosed it as spider mites. I debated with myself and my close friend and ultimately I decided to throw all the plants in my tent away. I know that there are a lot of people who will say that there are things I could have done to make it to harvest but what it came down to is the people I take care of and personal pride. I consider myself a caregiver and I give away product for free that I am not going to use to my family and close friends. I thought to myself "Would you smoke this?" and when my answer was "ehhh, I don't know", I thought about how it would feel giving it away and immediately made the decision to destroy them. I take an immense amount of pride in my product and this hobby and if I am not going to stand behind it I would rather just start over. I grow from my heart (shout out to the Grow From Your Heart Podcast!) to help people and make sure my family is not getting unsafe product from sketchy people. To spray pesticides in flower that may hurt people and have little bug carcasses in there just goes against that in every way and is just wrong in my opinion if you are giving it away to others. If you are the only one smoking it then it is one thing to take that risk but not with your patients. I want my medicine to help people, not create or exacerbate health issues. It is also important to note that the mites had moved from my flower tent into my veg space and took over my auto berry as well. Damn things are crafty and fast. So that is why I made the decision to destroy them all after 3+ months of res changes, pruning, and manifolding on a slow vegging strain. Feel free to chime in with your opinion but I do not regret my decision. I threw out my new clones, mother plant, and auto berry I had on my veg side as well. Shout out to all the other growers out there that do the right thing by their patients. Caregivers > Cash croppers. For anyone curious, I removed everything from my tent and scrubbed it all with a 20% bleach/water solution. All equipment has been wiped down and stored in the garage away from any organic materials. I will give them until tomorrow (2 days) to air out and dry and then I will wipe it down again with bleach and wait another 2 days. Hopefully that will make sure everything is dead and will not come back next grow. That next grow should start in about a week. It sucks but sometimes it happens and you gotta be ready for it. Lesson learned. Never bring outdoor plants into your indoor garden even if it is after just a day or two. A bunch of people on here and Reddit warned me and I did not listen. Now I have learned the hard way and it feels like when your parents "told you so" haha. Thanks to everyone who stopped by along the way. Stay tuned for a new grow coming soon. This plant is amazing!!! Growing so big, starting to see some real flowers on her now. Sorry didn't get any close up pics. Will next week. Has a lot of heat stress last week, had to give a really good trim at the bottom, to give good air flow!!! Happy with growth so far 😀😀😀😀 Got some more photos, went to see her today. What a monster!!!

Adding this cal mag ish stuff seems to an instant difference. Plants filling out, less yellowing. The 3rd plant went from smallest to biggest and is now flowering. Still looks different than the others, this group helped me determine this plant may be more like the mother plant. She is so strong, can’t wait for her to mature.

Still struggling to get the medium pH up been adding Potassium bicarbonate last 2 waterings (in going pH 8.9) still getting out of range low 5 runoff numbers, left off Cal/Mag last time to make sure there is no acid in the mix. Just anxious to get this grow done, think I went to heavy on the AgroThrive early on thinking it was weaker than salts, it certainty is not, lesson learned the only other thing I thought might help is a help is adding microbes to widen the pH range but it might be too late for that at this point. 😕

👉 This year, RQS launched 5 new regular strains. The seeds are packed with10 pieces. 38 seeds out of 50 turned out beautiful (see my previous diaries). 👉 Before I put the plants into bloom, I took 2 cuttings from each plant. As soon as I knew which were the female plants, I deleted the male plants and the corresponding clones. 👉 Now I am going to raise the cuttings and flower the female plants in 5 new diaries. This diary is about the Exotic Witches # 1, # 2, # 4.
