Day 15: Switched lights to 20/4 I overwatered them last week when I did the feeding, the fabric pots dry fast but this soil holds water well and I’m not used to planting into final sized pots like this either. It’s taking so long to dry out but I’m letting it. I’ve stopped misting obviously. Watching humidity and temps between lights on/off. Looking good. I will do the same light feeding as last week once the pots are dry enough but will make sure to only water the root area this time. I possibly stunted them a little but they are alive and learning is fun 😅 Halfway through the week update. They finally dried out and are now getting 25ml water per day, with feed. I added an oscillating fan. Temp and humidity seems to have stabilized now. Started to grow again but leaves stacked tightly. I’m playing with the lights, they are a bit strong for this stage I think. I turned off the extra 100w light leaving just the 270w on and they seem to have responded well overnight. Will turn it back on once they start taking off. I think I need to reconsider switching lights to 18/6 if I can figure out how to stabilize temps during lights out.

Harvest: Everything dried up to 347 grams + 96 grams of super high quality trim. Overall I am not too pleased with the smoke of the product. Although the bud size, bag appeal, smell and taste are pretty much all there, the shitty burn is a deal breaker for me and the majority of this weed is quite frankly useless. Another downside is while smoking I’ve found 4 seeds in an ounce from almost every strain. Light leaks? At least I learned a ton, including how to get super good burn for my next crop. I’m hoping that curing for a month or so will improve the burn but I wouldn’t really count on it. I have seen weed dried for 4 days with no cure and no flush smoke clean and not go out once. I have been told that the key to white ashes/clean burn is proper mineral content in the soil and there is tons of scientific studies on cigar ash going back 100 years. Plants grown in a medium with high levels of decomposing organic matter, phosphorus, magnesium, chlorine and heavy metal ratio tend to produce black/grey ash. Whereas plants grown in a medium with a higher ratio of trace minerals like calcium carbonate and potassium in the form of wood ash, rock dusts, oyster shell flour and lower levels of decomposing organic matter will produce a dense, uniform white ash that rarely goes out. But this is still all theory until I test it to confirm for myself a few times. My last few outdoor harvests did not improve with curing at all so I’m hoping this will be the missing link. Plain peat moss and coco clearly lack essential minerals that help burn. If said theory is correct I should find a synthetic nutrient line with more trace minerals. Makes me wonder if growing if rockwool/basalt rock could improve burn in a hydro setup. I think I did a fairly decent job for my first grow. I went wrong in a million different places but I still stuck it out and got some decent herb. Things went wrong early when I got black spot mold, nitrogen/magnesium deficiencies and powdery mildew. I corrected most of it but things didn’t get really bad until mid veg when I intentionally skipped a few feedings and defoliated quite heavily stunting the plants. I also didn’t even top or start LST until the 6-9th node which was really stupid and hurt my yield. My temperatures were all over the place from the learning curve. I was severely overwatering without realizing it. 100% peat moss is a shitty medium. I also fed way too late in flower (not what caused shitty burn). I also used synthetic nutrients in soil. Solid growth. Two smallest plants live in an airpot. They have a much faster growth and were flowering before the ones in normal pots. They need more food and their leaves are more crispy, like lettuce. The normally potted plants are taller and greener but significant slower. This is what I learn. Airpots give faster blooming but stay smaller because vegetationtime is shorter.

Week 4 day 2 since i start germination, and i think they are evolving quite ok. CS1 is for now the queen in all aspects, shes the stronger, the most beautiful formation with no problems what so ever , CS2 is following and CS 3 also but with mutant leaves all over her, i will however keep giving her love and dedication, mb in the end she compensate with some beautiful flowers 🤞 As for the Tropicannas, TP2 its an amazing girl, no mutations and growing as it should, TP1 is recovering fast from her accident 😅🤞 and she is on the way to become a strong and beautiful girl. Radical Juice – Week 4 of Flowering The Radical Juice is looking amazing! 🌿 The buds are starting to form beautifully, and the scent is becoming more noticeable with every day! 🌸 The plants are doing great and are getting more and more frosty as time goes on. The first trichomes are appearing, and I’m already excited about the upcoming harvest! ✨ The stretch seems to be slowing down now, and the plant is focusing more on bud development. Everything is progressing as expected. I’m still only using water, and I’m letting the soil and the microorganisms do the work. 🌱 As for the clone trial, the clone that received my homemade fertilizer with every watering is noticeably bigger and healthier than the other clones that didn’t get it. Week 2 underway and she's developing accordingly. Everything is in the soil so we continue to just let her sip from the reservoir thru the wicks. I'm still misting the top of the soil to make sure she's getting enough to drink.

Fed on Day 39 Up’d the nutes a bit. Added some Superthrive. Also added (2)3 gallon strains I have from another grow and additional lighting 250w in the tent. Day 44: Watered with PH’d 6.1 water and a couple pinches of epsom salt. Both of their ppm’s were a bit high on the R/O around 1700. I assume this is from the feeding earlier in the week. (I need to start taking better notes) I brought it down considerably to around 900 ppm with a couple gallons of mild flushes. **Personal note** I read alot and I mean ALOT of forums and questions from here as I grow. I’m using a combination of techniques I feel are beneficial and learning do’s and do nots as I go. That being said Please feel free to comment, advice is ALWAYS welcomed! Grow on.

Some light defoliation this week to hopefully get more airflow and encourage upward growth before flowering sets in. (already well underway), might go heavier next week. Got some nasty visitor chewing my leaves, but not aphid or mites, possibly cricket or beetle... monitoring.

112 grams dried flower, not all purple but I'll take it any day. No ventilation and hardly any nutrients and hardly any experience. I'd definitely recommend trying fast buds purple lemonade.😁

Week 6th started. I will add each plant 100 ml water 2x a day so 400ml altogether. I still always spray the topsoil also. The same fertilization method will be done, Monday, Wednesday, Friday 2x 100ml acacia honey and bat guano water mix for each plant. I changed their places so Purple Punch is the left side now and the Gelato Cookie D'ohpe placed to the right. I always rotate them to get equal light. Last day of the 6th week. Gelato Cookie D'ohpe doubled its height. I decided to make the Purple Punch flower but it is not autoflower I separated it for 36 hours darkness and then I will give 14 hours darkness and 10 hours light the first 7 days. So every night I will put it in the tent with the other one and remove in the morning to be in darkness. I also need to reset the timers. End of this week Gelato Cookie D'ohpe is 65 cm, Purple Punch is 35cm.
