Hi all the happy people here in GrowDiaries. This is my second cultivation ever and it will be fun to try a bigger space than my closet grow. First, I'm just going to say I'm done with the construction of my new growroom. I put some pictures on the construction here in week one. The room is 2.14 meters by 1.7 meters and has a ceiling height of 2 meters. It provides a floor area of ​​3.6 square meters. I use a 54 Watt Lightwawe T5 for germination and 2 Pcs 400 Watt HPS lamps. I have a channel fan that replaces the room air about 40 times an hour to get a comfortable theme in the room, the air enters a fresh air intake from the outside. The air is purified through a carbon filter to then leave the room to the rest of the basement. Then I use that heat to heat the rest of the basement. I will use 8 pcs 15 liter Autopots to grow with and a 100 liter water tank that supplies the pots of water and nutrition. I will grow completely organically in soil and will watercure my buds to get the best possible medicine for me. But there are no cultivation rooms to be displayed here, so I continue with what is most important. Today I have put my seeds in my moisture dome and hope the seeds have germinated within a few days. Update 2017-08.20. Nr1 and 2 grow and thrive. Number 3 just got rid of the seedpod and is folding out the sheets. The temp controlled fan is awesome, its easy to set what temp you like to have in the room. Right now its 28 celcius. Week 8, and my custom fit SCROG has been installed! ❤️ At Day 50 I separated my 7 gallon girls and my 5 gallon girl. Once done, I began the very easy process of adding my “floating” SCROG. I use ratchet straps, just like the ones that come with lights to secure the four corners of the screen to the top of my tent. This allows me to adjust the screen height as necessary when 1) first installing and 2) once the full stretch of flower has occurred, I can tweak it a bit to balance the canopy as best as possible. It’s not 100%, I still get some over achievers, but I find it useful as another option. I like to do a major defoliation before I set the ladies in. Typically till this time, I have done almost no defoliation, just LST and some HST techniques. I adjusted the ladies placement to allow growth out all sides of the screen, set the screen height and began tucking and bending. The defoliation and bending allows light to penetrate all those side shoots that would have amounted to nothing, and they become top shoots as they grow up and form an even canopy. I don’t like to weave, it can damage the new shoots and cause growth problems, but the goal is to get as even a coverage as you can while allowing for plant growth in all directions. Once complete, I will give the girls about a week to recover and grow those new shoots. I like to have about 80% coverage of the screen, before I change my light cycles to flower 12/12… and if they are healthy and strong. I’ll decide this weekend if it is time ❤️👊🇨🇦😎 Happy Gardening!

What to say about this week? For starters LST was started this week. Initially I used garden ties but soon after replaced them with 6” garden staples . 2 of the 6 girls began throwing pistals resulting from the LST starting around day 15 YIKES 😬. The Zkittlez & the Runtz both from (Expert Seeds ) began giving the 5x5 its first smells . The LST so far has been a pleasure no ooosy daisies so far & the girls are showing what they are made of . The secondary shoots have great potential to form a nice round bush that I can train out into an even-as-possible canopy . Today is day 21 & day 20 for this bunch . They are only using Gaia Green dry amendments for feedings but I decided to take some advice given to another grower & supplement my girls with some compost tea . NO I DONT THINK THEY NEED ANYTHING ADDITIONALLY IM REALLY HAPPY SO FAR WITH MY NUTES bbbbuuuuuttttttt in the short chance that my ladies may take a liking to an occasional tea & reward my pampering with large , long , frosty, stacked cola’s . . Thennnn I’m supplementing , I consider this all “4-play” for my ladies Ik a giver 🤷‍♀️😭 My only concerns are racing against this clock to get as much size & solid structure before flowering sets in I’ve really got my heart set on a certain outcome & I’m one for a good challenge. Finally , atleast as much as I can remember, I increased the dimmer knob on the light from 65% to about 78%. I won’t increase the watts any higher until bloom sets in fully & at that point I’ll be turning it to 100% raising it a maybe 6 inches & watching patiently for my girls to start praying 🙏 to it . Week 3 in the books !

Start of week 7 of flowering. Plant looks good, she recovered well and has shown some nice bud development. Temps have dropped to about 32°c.

Day 17 and she is growing nicely, but hope the side branching will pick up a bit for training. Keep freaking out thinking I have mites again but I don’t see them on my leaves. Plus I think I have grasshoppers nibbling on all my gals leaves. As of Saturday Fozzy Bear (we wanted it Fozzie but official paper work says otherwise) joined the family and his new big brother Buddy. He has already grown a few inches since we got him but god is he ever cute, and god bless Buddy for taking his playful shit since

This plant was grown with Nature's Living Soil Autoflower used as a hot mix. Once in flower week 5 I top dressed with a little more NLS and then week 7 I added earthworm casting and phosphorus bat guano. So looking back this plant was small and with tight nodes in the grow phase but once the flowering phase started she stretched out nicely and made a turn around for better. After drying the buds are sticky and littered with trichomes. She came out pretty decent but I think I could do better.

Just got a new 600w mh/hps light for now it’s in my current setup with my 250 n it’s dimmed to 50%, only reason I mention is b/c the plants seem to be loving it!! They’re 12 days old from seed, still just ph’d water for them! So far so good :P
