Ginger Nut Cookies & Aussie Music Videos Week 16 Harvest 17 th April 2020 This Entire feminised seed making and growing project was a very good learning experience for me. Right from the very start, when I successfully got a Cutting ,taken from a Barneys Farm Red diesel female plant to produce feminised pollen after treating it with a silver thiosulfate solution. I then used it to pollinate a Fastbuds Girl scout cookies auto plant and let it grow to maturity. This only produced 3 viable seeds one of which is the subject of this Diary. I made up the name "Ginger nut cookies" after a variety of cookies we have here in Australia that are made with ginger. They are the same colour as the distinct red hairs on the red diesel buds. And would you believe those same vivid red hairs were passed on to this plant so I wasn't too far off the mark with the strain name. Her flavour however is nothing like red diesel or girl scout cookies and infact as taken on a smell and aroma all of it's own. She has a lovely tropical fruit like taste and the smell is a bit like fruit yoghurt. It has an unreal after taste on the exhale and the lingering second hand smoke smells very sweet and enticing. She has a pretty well balanced high too not as potent as the GSC nor as energenic as the red diesel but just a pleasant mix of the two. It was a very easy to grow and undemanding plant that didn't seem to require a lot of extra feeding other than the 100% organic nutrients that were within the soil and a few things like compost teas etc. The other element of this diary was of course the weekly Aussie music videos That I provided the links for and put up a little video clip preview of each Artists song. heylà my best grower friends my second cultivation ...... my first technical experiments .... my first stages of approach with the most beautiful plant on the planet ....I'm also trying the fresh trimm because of the heat ..... but honestly I prefer the dry one. I have never been a gardener .... but fuck ... Week ten. I started giving booster one week ago, so her flowers are getting better every day. What do you guys think? How does she look? Shall I do more defoliation? But my tent is pretty small too. Consider that while responding, please.

DAY 56 Flowering: Well here we are growmies. It is that time.... we have bud porn , beautiful leaves naturally fading and adding to the Autumn looking harvest. The 2 Girl scout cookies have kept a really happy pace this week with the #2 still pushing fresh pistils out and swelling. She is getting nice and tacky too. Both of the girls smell like a candy shop raid now too. My filters are useless in regards to these ladies but I am not complaining . Lol After I finished the video , I decided it was time for the #2 Girl , who is now sat in the dark trying to figure out where the sun and her sister has gone. She will get 48 hours , then be trimmed for drying and curing. The other girl will be joining her some time this week too for sure but as her pistils are so fresh in a lot of places , she will get to dance a little longer . The Amnesia girls are slowly building trichs and bud weight now on their last stretch before ripening those trichs. Only the #3 has any real signs of fade so far too which could be down to wrong feeding when I assumed she was a Girl scout cookie. The buds on her look very much like the Amnesia too. Thet remind me of cacti close up !. The rectangular girl #2 has kept all her jewels tucked away inside her frame but i have made sure there is plenty of airflow within her bush to keep the nasties away. All in all they look very potent and I can already see the lost fine and forgotten tasks within those crystal ball trichs. Lol The guest critical cheese is slowly ambling along and looks bare in comparison to the other strains. She still has about 3 weeks , alongside the Amnesia haze , to fill out those long colas. Day 63 Flower Well we’re coming to the end of the grow cycle. These plants are looking great. They’re starting to get a bit of purpling on the leaves and trichomes are clouding up. I flushed with 7 gallons of plain water with typhoon cleanse. It’s stripped about 300 ppm per gallon, got my runoff down to 110, and probably do an RO flush if I need to push it longer. I am very happy with the stank, quality, density and trichome coverage on these buds. The smell is a ripe sweet lemon with and earthy hazy musk. Could use more lemon but I’m not going to complain. My house is rank and can be smelled outside even with the carbon filter going 24/7. I’m super excited to see how the effect is on this strain. It’s one of my all time favorites and I’m pumped that it has turned out to be quality!!! Happy Growing 🌱

Beautiful pair of phenos of Badaz og cheese very excited about what strain is gonna offer me in terms of quality buds, so excited to see what is every of this 2 phenos gonna be like, I really hope that both of them have the exact terpenes profile and the same potency! 143gr for the Larger pheno and 97 for the shorter, very respectable yield in total for 3 Wk Veg. Total 240gr even they each had 1.5’x1.5’ of space. Big yielder, buds are 10/10 & very easy to grow . Could be prone to mold in an uncontrolled environment.

2/12: I put the fat one into the dark. The skinny one is almost dry... 2/13: Harvested the fattie and washed her. She's hanging to dry now. The skinnier one is finally dry. I weighed and jarred her up, then I pressed about 6 grams of her larfy bud into some delicious sweet piney rosin. I actually dabbed her rosin before I even smoked her bud..a first! She weighed in at a meager 94g, but it's very dank and frosty bud. I'm sure the fattie will come close to being double that weight.

Day 1 of week 3 flower loads of small buds everywhere will be finishing flower burst feed end of this week then starting the pk9-18 should start seeing some big buds on there soon. Starting to smell decent and seeing loads of growth on the buds everyday!

19/07/20 (Sunday) 7AM - Set 4 seeds to germinate in cups of water (Trinidad and Tobago, St. Vincent and the Grenadines, Jamaica, Columbia) 7PM - St. Vincent and the Grenadines seed shows taproot 9PM - Trinidad and Tobago seed shows taproot 10PM - Seed from Jamaica shows taproot 11PM - Set the 3 germinated seeds into individual half gallon pots filled with promix. 20/07/20 11AM - SVG seed rises to the soil level 8PM - Jamaican follows suit 11PM - TT also exposes itself 21/07/20 The weather and forecast for the week show scattered showers and the seedlings are showing early signs of stretching so I decide to build a makeshift grow tent to supplement their light cycle while bringing them outside for a minimum of 4 hours every day to acclimate them. I decided on a 75W output LED bulb with a temperature of 6500K and 1055 lumens while using my room fan to simulate wind for healthy stem growth. 22/07/20 The plants show slowed stretch symptoms but still not to the level I want, so I revamp the 'grow tent' with reflective material (crumpled aluminium foil for more reflective surfaces) and upgraded the bulb to a 100W output LED with the same temperature and a higher luminousity of 1350. One cotyledon on the SVG strain was broken but not completely sheared off, but I'll leave it to its own devices. 23/07/20 Columbian seed has yet to germinate so I added another from my backups. 24/07/20 Seedlings have shown normal rates of growth so I think the current grow tent is sufficient. When I took them outside they endured light gusts and rainfall for a half hour during their sun bask. I decided to add foil to the door of the tent to trap more light in. 25/07/20 Tropical Storm Gonzalo may make landfall today and the skies are set up for thunderstorms so I decided to keep the plants in their indoor setup for the full 18hrs of their light cycle. Since both Columbian seeds still show no signs of germination, I decide to go collect another strain. I got my hands on a 21 day old Dominican Republic strain that was grown in a seedling tray and left there; It was fed once with 20-20-20 and calmag. The cotyledons were white, the stem red between the top nodes and yellow the rest of the way down, the leaves a light green, and it was no taller than 2 inches excluding it's 1 inch sq root cube. I immediately transplanted it into my remaining half gallon pot upon returning home, dampened the soil with my spray bottle and left it to sit with the others and finish the light cycle.

So I'm super stoked about this week because it's been a great one! 😃 Got my new lights installed in the tent, they're working great and the ladies are loving it. Amazing growth in all the strains SPECIALLY this one, truly magical stain this one. I was able to train her perfectly, she's got an even canopy and I'm loving that. She's the wides girl in the tent also has the most colas( future bud sites). She's gotten really bushy so next week I'll do a bit of defoliation to even her out a bit more.
