🌸 Week 5 Flower – Gelonade Journey What a week! The Gelonade girls are now stepping fully into their flower form, and it’s breathtaking to witness. The evolution is clear: their structure is leaning beautifully toward the sativa side, with long, elegant branches reaching outward and bud formations stretching gracefully. Even though Gelonade carries a 60% sativa / 40% indica balance, the girls are clearly showcasing their sativa influence, airy yet strong, expressive, and absolutely stunning. ✨ Sativa Stretch & Structure The branching is art in motion, every node working like a painter’s brushstroke on a living canvas. The main colas are elongating, and even the funky pheno is showing its own charm in how the leaves and flowers express themselves. It’s one of those weeks where you just stand back and admire. ⚙️ Smart Growing with Sensors The WCS2 substrate sensor from TrolMaster has been invaluable this week. It constantly reads moisture, EC, and temperature directly from the soil, helping to decide exactly when to feed and when to hold back. Instead of guessing, we’re guided by real data, a powerful ally for keeping the roots in balance. 💧 Nutrient Recipe Update This week we reintroduced Aptus All-In-One Liquid at 1 ml per liter, complementing the standing mix of Aptus Regulator, CalMag Boost, and Plagron Power Buds, Sugar Royal, and Green Sensation. The reasoning is simple: as the flowers demand more, a little extra balanced nutrition ensures the canopy stays lush while the energy shifts toward bud production. 💡 Inner Canopy Lighting One of the biggest joys this run is the extra canopy lighting. The Future of Grow and ThinkGrow LEDs shine from above, but the added under-canopy strips are filling gaps and ensuring photons penetrate deeply. Instead of shadowy corners, the girls are glowing top to bottom, every leaf touched by light. 🌿 Recap & What’s Next From seed to now — germination, veg, stretch, and into this fifth week of flower — the Gelonades have shown resilience and individuality. Pheno #2, with her unicorn leaves, continues to amaze, while both are stacking into tall, elegant forms. For next week, we expect more density building, pistils shifting color, and the first whispers of resin glands sparkling under the LEDs. The journey forward promises more fragrance, more structure, and more beauty still to come. 💚 Closing Thought This week, the Gelonades remind us of the elegance of balance, between sativa and indica, between stretch and strength, between data and instinct. Every leaf, every branch, every bud is a note in a song that is only just beginning to play. May the branches stretch without fear, may the buds swell with light, and may each day bring us closer to the harvest of dreams. 📲 Don’t forget to Subscribe and follow me on Instagram and YouTube @DogDoctorOfficial for exclusive content, real-time updates, and behind-the-scenes magic. Have been practically fizzing this week knowing the end is nigh for lady No1. Ended up giving her an extra day, mainly to prove to myself I could but was up early the next morning resolved to chop. Dismantled her branch by branch but only took the big fan leaves off hoping it will help her dry slowly and ended up with a nice collection of flowers. I’m pretty chuffed to how she has turned out although I know it’s not a massive yeald. Have learned loads though and already planning on what I’m going to change for next time. Thanks to all who’ve shared the benefit of wisdom, the forum has helped immeasurably. Will be back after she’s lost some moisture with a weight check and maybe a cheeky premature smoke report. Thanks gang xx Update: I managed to leave it drying for 13 days in total before taking the scissors to it for the jar. All told weighed in at 33g and as I’m not going to start lying to you now have to admit to being a little disappointed with that. Not sure if my expectations were too high or if it’s because of my novice status ( or more likely both) but still grateful for what I did mange to produce which I have to admit seems decent quality which I believe will only get better with a decent cure. Now just need to stop carrying the jar around like a cradled infant and find somewhere dark and cool for it to rest. X

Had great results, especially when i upgraded to RO water.. if theres one thing i could of changed it would of been using the reverse Osmosis water sooner. The rest of the grow was pretty easy, didn't even plant train as this was suppose to be a hassle free run. It was just that. Some good genetics from seedstockers too. Good stuff!

#Crop King Seeds Planting 3 Seeds Using 2 Different Techniques to germinate the Seeds - The First 2 Seeds were germinated (Jul 2nd) using the water / paper towel technique * The seeds were dropped in a half glass of bottled water (It stayed afloat) and kept in a closed dark area. * After 12 Hours the 2 seeds were pushed down to reach the bottom of the glass using my finger. * After 24 hours the 2 seeds were transferred / Now using the paper towel method to complete the germination - The last seed was germinated (Jul 3) using just the paper towel method * This method took longer to break the seed surface. On Jul 6 Decided to transfer all 3 seedlings into the Aerogarden. * Seed G1 had about 5cm roots. Some flowers already sprouting * Seed G2 had about 3 cm roots. Still had seed top. * Seed G3 had only just cracked . No length

Week 5 Report: Big Cheese Auto Blossoms into Flower Power! Hi Guys! Buckle up for another thrilling chapter in the saga of our green queen, the Big Cheese Auto. Week 5 marks her grand entrance into the world of flowering, and oh, the excitement is palpable! Big shoutout to Seeds Mafia for the genetics that keep surprising and delighting us. As we transition into this flowering phase, it's like witnessing a well-choreographed dance, and our Big Cheese Auto is stealing the spotlight. 🌸✨ The Autopot system is proving to be a game-changer. She's sipping on her own schedule, and the results are nothing short of spectacular. It's like having a master chef in the kitchen, deciding when and how much to feast on those nutrients. Now, let's dive into the nutrient symphony: Regulator (0.15ml/L): Our humidity maestro is still grooving. The dance with Mono-silicic acid (Si) continues, ensuring a stress-free environment as our star transitions into flowering. P-Boost: A round of applause for the latest addition to our nutrient crew. P-Boost Provides a large amount of organic phosphorus (P)and brings a powerhouse of organic nitrogen (N) and highly concentrated L-amino acids. It's like giving our plant a secret weapon for flowering. Calmag (0.25ml/L): Calmag, our guardian of structural integrity, remains vigilant. Strong stems, sturdy leaves – the foundation for the floral fireworks that lie ahead. All-in-One Liquid (1ml/L): The NPK trio continues to be the backbonebut (just for this week), but here's a twist - the soil pellets are now in play. It's like the stage is set, and our Big Cheese Auto is the leading lady in this nutrient-filled drama. Start Boost (0.25ml/L): The roots are thriving, thanks to Start Boost. It's like a construction crew working tirelessly to ensure a solid foundation for the upcoming bloom spectacle.(i will stop this ) Topbooster: Introducing the bloom and maturation stimulator that's about to revolutionize our green symphony. Topbooster is the 100% organic maestro with a concoction of active ingredients that scream "flower power." L-amino acids, polysaccharides, trace elements (B, Fe, Mo), bloom-promoting natural plant stimulants, and vitamin complexes from natural fermentation — it's a holistic approach to enhancing the flowering response. How Topbooster Works: It's a botanical ballet! L-amino acids: Leading the floral development and maturation charge. Trace elements (B, Fe, Mo): Assisting in the intricate dance of floral development. Polysaccharides (sugars): Stimulating nutrient uptake and microlife populations, like a sweet rhythm for our plant. Vitamins: The conductors of hormone production. Gibberellins for shooting, cytokinins for cellular division — it's like the choreography that transforms a bud into a floral masterpiece. Together, P-Boost and Topbooster form the dynamic duo, ensuring our Big Cheese Auto doesn't just flower but does so with a grandeur that elevates the end product's quality. Larger fruit, more fibers, resins, and sugars — it's like a recipe for cannabis opulence. Aptus Mycor Mix: The underground alliance with mycorrhizal fungi is strengthening. Picture it like a secret society beneath the soil, enhancing nutrient uptake, and fortifying our plant's foundation. NutriSpray by Aptus Holland: The foliar spa treatment continues. The microelement cocktail is like a VIP party for our leaves, creating a protective shield against nutrient deficiencies. 🚿🍃 Training Update: The leaf-bending symphony continues. It's like sculpting a masterpiece, preparing the canvas for the grand artwork that lies ahead. And the best is yet to come - defoliation is on the horizon. Clearing out the clutter, allowing her to shine from the inside out. TDS and pH: Our numbers are looking sweet with a TDS of 390 and a pH of 6.0. It's like hitting the perfect notes in a musical composition, creating an environment where our Big Cheese Auto can thrive. As we transition into the next chapter, the anticipation is building, armed with the botanical brilliance of P-Boost and Topbooster. It's not just cultivation; it's an artistic expression of nature's bounty. Flowering is like the crescendo in a symphony, and our green maestro is ready to lead the orchestra. Once again, a massive thanks to Seeds Mafia, Aptus Holland, Grow Diaries, and our incredible community. Your support is the backbone of this green tale. Hello everyone! Things are growing great! The scent is becoming more like weed and less like trash. Every time I check in on her she seems to have grown. Since I harvested my other girl last night, my six shooter has the whole tent to herself. Thats 3 fans, 2 × galaxy hydro 300 w leds, and an increase in airflow and drop in humidity. One week from today she will be much bigger. I have been feeding her every other watering. Got some nute burn but she seems to like the heavy feeds. I may go water, water, and then feed until harvest . I'm guessing between 2-4 weeks left. I can't wait to grow this strain again!

This week i defoliated a bit, as i wanted to have more light reach lower parts of the plant to increase bud sights and increase air flow through out the plants. Also I put in the net again in a nother attempt to even out the cannopy which didn't really work

Hey today last day... Baby is through.. it was scrubbed a bit by the hail on wednesday... I'll cut them off whole and hang them up in a cool place. Next time harvest day... I've already eaten strawberries.. it smells very good. smoke sample was made, was able to dream/sleep wonderfully chilled for an hour. Very relaxed and calm turn++ not so good: extremely dry mouth after getting up + throat... Taste light and pleasant smell strong.. All in all, I would recommend but rather indoor

Room setup rundown, examples of bud, et al in pictures... Seedlings/Clones lights - Viparspectra XS1500. Vege lights - Mars Hydro FC-4800 Flower Lights - 650w 3400K 1900umol/s PAR, (3) 226w DIY 2900K 630umol/s PAR (678w and 1890umol/s), Substrate - 50/50 sphagnum peat moss and vermiculite in 5-gallon pots Climate Control - Luckily, the lights, winter and normal furnace use all equate to a decent temperature, though a bit on colder side in in vege phase, sadly. Humidifier is needed early and later a dehumidifier is needed when canopy develops. I only grow in the winter months. Irrigation - do not use the emitters in this diary. They suck a big fat dick to skip a line to suck a bigger dick. Use the pressure compensating type. https://growdiaries.com/diaries/232811-strawberry-cookies-og-r1-cherry-diesel-bbgs-ego-epg-ebg-grow-journal-by-001100010010011110/week/1366923 -- use something similar to those. They come in different shapes, too. Basic process The little light takes care of seedlings in 2.5" wide seedling pots until first up-pot. The 1-gallon pots fit well under the FC4800 in a 4x4 tent until day 21 after sprout. I plant 150% or more of what i need, so i can kill the weak without concern. The goal is for every plant that makes it to the 5-gallon up-pot being capable of producing a minimum of 160 grams with a maximum of a 35-40 day vegetative phase. Third up-pot is into 5-gallon nursery pots and now under the 3 DIY lights and the 650W light in the big tent for a couple more weeks of vege. An irrigation system in the big tent saves a lot of time. One scrog for training and another for support, just in case. Reverting back to a more systematic approach to canopy composition moving forward. About 2.3 colas per sq ft and 8 primary colas per plant. Yields were similar when over-crowding and being less systematic, but the proportion of less dense nugs is greater and trim time is needlessly elevated because of that fact. I was very controlling about this the first couple years but got away from it for far too long at this point. Drying / Curing - Into mesh racks for 9 days. I wet trim and cut down to similarly sized buds for even drying. Temps are controlled around 68F and RH is set to 60%. Then into some 5-gallon buckets with gamma seal lids and (3) 2-way 67g boveda humidipaks (58% or 62%) in each bucket - 1 at bottom, 2 at top. Temp/RH probe confirms that they hold the RH steady at 60-63%. Cost - 0.33 cents (USD) per gram produced. This includes an accelerated depreciation expense for all equipment used, fertilizer, water, electricity for all equipment used, new filters and other yearly purchases - bti, ph strips, sticky traps, etc. I'm a finance guy, so these numbers are comprehensively accurate and purposely err slightly on high side of cost. The only facet not included is the cost of my labor.
