The ladies have fully recovered from whatever nutrient issues I was having. I think the answers hit the nail on the head when it came to ph imbalance, too high EC (too much nutrients) except for a lack of potash. I cut my nutrients down, lowered the PH, and added in more bloom this time around. So far they look great!

Cal-Mag Deficiency Adjustment – Pheno #5’s Special Needs This week started with a close inspection of our phenos, and we noticed that Pheno #5 was showing early signs of a calcium/magnesium deficiency. Whether it was slightly off VPD levels or this particular plant being more demanding, we decided to correct it by increasing the dose of RO Water Conditioner. Now, while this isn’t a direct substitute for Cal-Mag, it does contain trace amounts that can help stabilize the situation. 🔬 Understanding Cal-Mag Deficiency: Calcium and magnesium are essential secondary nutrients. Calcium strengthens cell walls, preventing issues like tip burn and weak stems, while magnesium plays a critical role in chlorophyll production, allowing plants to efficiently absorb light energy. 💡 Signs of Deficiency: • Yellowing between veins (Magnesium) • Rust spots on leaves (Calcium) • Slow growth and weak stems ⚡ How We Address It: • Slightly increasing RO Water Conditioner to see if trace minerals help • Keeping an eye on overall nutrient uptake to ensure no lockout • Monitoring VPD (Vapor Pressure Deficit) closely to optimize nutrient absorption Let’s see how she reacts next week! Branching Development – Pheno #2 Leading the Race All five phenos are thriving, but Pheno #2 is showing the most aggressive branching, pushing outward faster than her sisters. However, overall, we’re seeing very uniform growth, which speaks volumes about the stability of these genetics. 🌱 What is Branching & Why It Matters? Branching is the plant’s way of expanding its canopy, increasing surface area for photosynthesis, and maximizing potential bud sites. Well-structured branches allow better airflow, light penetration, and more even growth—key for a successful high-yield harvest. ⚖️ Topping vs. Leaf Bending – The Training Choice Instead of topping, I’ve decided to go with leaf bending for now. This method allows for gentle manipulation of the plant’s growth without causing major stress. Once we introduce the SCROG (Screen of Green) net, this training will help maximize the canopy spread. Early harvest because mold

Started with a super low dose of massive bloom now that my flowering has started on these, it was recommended by the hydro guy and I wanted to use something as just the organics has not been thickening up the way all of my bottle grows did and I think it is due to a lack of PK. I also added in some myco spores on vermiculite that I got from the hydro store as well, figured it would be beneficial for the roots during flower and likely should have had it the entire grow. I have tied down my one plant in more places as a test to see if it will produce better than the other 2 which were only tied in one spot.

Just got the new 8x4 setup and got some new seeds in from Seedsman so let’s see how this run goes! 5x5 is week 2 of flower going strong!

I’m loving week 7 of flower for the plants on 11/28

Got my first round of Lst done BE CAREFUL! I accidentally topped one of my plants. These girls grow stiff and resist the training.

I think there’s been some sort of salt build up / nutrient lock. The lower leaves have been turning a lighter green and some even yellow on SL plants. Most stems are red. Seems like it’s a pH problem. I flushed them with 4-5 litres of water to reduce the nutrient concentration in the roots. Going to introduce molasses in next feeding! Organic Unsulphered And also stop the Micro (nitrogen)

Last feed was a week ago, have watered twice in the past week with ph'd water. Ladies are progressing nicely. Will feed tomorrow, and see how things progress. Got the dehumidifier and control put in, have it set at 45 rh, right now. Have seen the humidity come down substantially but still swings between 40 and 54. Thinking about lowering the setting a bit to around 40 to try and get tighter control as I finish out the grow over the next several weeks.
