Grow Journal Week 5: Bloom Phase Progress 🌼 Hello dear growers and growerettes, I’m thrilled to share the fifth week of the bloom phase in our grow journal! Here are all the details for Week 5: Weekly Progress It's been a typical week of development for the plants. Not much has happened aside from the usual growth. However, I had to reset my watering system due to an error, which involved removing the mulch layer. Since then, I've been closely monitoring to ensure the watering remains consistent. Watering and Control Systems After resetting the watering system due to an error, everything seems to be back on track. I'm observing the system closely to ensure its consistent performance. Challenges This week, the defoliation process has been particularly challenging, even though it usually goes smoothly. There are just too many fan leaves with trichomes this time. Goals and Expectations I am curious to see how the plants will continue to develop over the next two weeks, as this period will give me a good indication of what to expect at harvest. Everything is healthy as it could be right now. The heater made such a big difference I couldn't be happier with how these are growing at this point hopefully it keeps up. Been removing fan leaves here and there but I'm trying to hold off until day 21 and I might give them all a pretty heavy leaf strip. I read something saying defoliate heavy on day 21 and 42 to increase yields so I might give that a shot. These lights are the real deal I got a meter and even tho I barely know how to read it I'm getting much better canopy penetration and the flexibility of having 4 separate units instead of 2 is going to come in handy. Soon I will put all the shorter plants on one side and tall on the other and adjust the lights accordingly. Other than spreading folage out to new found space (had two male seedlings), I haven't maintenanced much. I want to get the pH down slow. I'm doing a top up and going to be careful for no big jumps. I'm gonna take the bins my tank sits on out to give me more grow room for next crop, and to keep reservoir temp down. Flipped the lights to 12/12, plants have initiated their stretch. I switched the compost tea brew to Terp Tea Bloom.

Today I have diced it is time to switch to 12/12 scheme. Net is almost covered and I am expecting some stretch during pre-flower phase. Watering volume is increasing day by day, thanks to my dehumidifier I can keep the VPD around 1.2. Temperature is a thing... probably need to cool down some in a few weeks. Thankfully I am already adding CO2 so that should do it. As you can see I have raised EC a bit. That was easier than bringing the PH down with PH-minus. Some little burned tips on the leaves but I do like the overall colour. So let's see how it goes. 15/06: Sorry... something more important came up than updating my report.... On Monday, I start working for a boss... it's been over 20 years, so it will take some getting used to... I also suddenly had to buy a car because I hate cycling. I usually dislike driving too, but as long as the car has enough power, I can live with it and stay dry. Regarding the ladies... the problem with the persistent lighting does indeed seem to be an internet issue, as it hasn't occurred again. Furthermore, the amens is just brutally large compared to the others and will soon overgrow the whole net. I don't mind... I always prefer the strongest. In the photo from 3 days ago, this is still fairly visible, but in the photos below, it's getting harder to see... Harvesting will also be fun... Keeping the stuff separate by type will be a challenge. Water values are currently nice and stable, though I did increase the CO2 slightly to an average of 1350ppm. I've also already hung my blooming lamps (not visible in the photo). These are again Chinese quantum boards, but 400W each. They will run 4 hours a day for the last 3 weeks. This way, the dehumidifier doesn't have to work as hard, and I keep the stuff around 30˚C. Actually quite satisfied.... the first signs of flowering seem visible, but not convincing enough to take pictures yet...

9/6 Didn't do a video this morning. Went over again around noon and defoliated what needed it. I noticed what looked like stem mold on the special kush that those locusts have STRIPPED and saw what looked like mold but I left it and assumed it was just a bite out because it wad right at a node. I removed a major branch the other day. When I got back around noon the spot had tripled in size and was 100% mold. I cut that branch off too. The plant IS frosty but it's not ready. You cant see it but the calyx is pink. There are some branches that are completely stripped. They like the special kush for some reason and seem to target that. I should go over at night and see what I can see. Pink kush is flowering fairly aggressive. Not as much as the natural mk ultra though. I cant believe how fast those are exploding. As long as weather permits the pink kush will finish. I tried the special kush #1 which I'm almost done trimming and it wad amazing. Really eases anxiety and hits me square in the eyes. Very sedative happy strain. Tastes like pine, skunk and something I can't quite identify. Maybe the forest? I'm incredibly happy with the outcome.

Dropped temperatures to 55-60F, added 2 hrs of darkness, and adding only water from 250 ppm - through finish. I guess I have to make them purple? Most trichomes are cloudy, so there isn’t time to freeze them to color. Going to chop in two days and call it a grow! Dumped half the res and dropped ppm to 0 and added FloraKleen. Will chop in a day or two. The bells toll…

Foxtailing - temp. 26-27°C Due to some watering issues last week we got some salt buildup. Drain Ph has risen to 6.6 and Ec peaked at 2.9 mS/cm This week I gave the plants more water and checked drain frequently. It went back down to 1.8 and Ph came down to 6.3.

Kept the same nutrient mix almost the same, have had to use some others just to get by until more rock up 🙃 Floramax Veg 1: 1000ml Floramax Rezin: 400ml Floramax Organabud: 400ml Floramax Flowering Enhancer: 400ml Cyclo Platinum Silica: 200ml ISN Cal-Mag: 400ml (still waiting on my main one to be delivered, so using what’s left of this) Green Planet Massive Bloom: 200ml Green Planet Bud Booster: 4 scoops (30ml each) Sleeps with the Fishez: 100ml — used some hydrogen peroxide today while waiting for the next batch to arrive next week I’ve been looking into a flushing additive called New Millennium Winter Frost for a nice clean finish. Pistils finally popped up yesterday on a few of the top sites! Should start seeing some solid stretch from LA punch soon, guessing around 30 to 40cm at least, who really knows right now 🤷‍♂️ I’m letting her do her thing and reach up into the net for now. If she starts getting crowded before the end of week 3, I’ll kick off some early defoliation. Also got two AC Infinity IonBeam S11 lights set up sitting about level with the top colas. I’m aiming the light to hit the middle and lower sections instead of blasting the tops directly, trying to get that nice even coverage. Still debating whether I even need to scrog this run, but a few people keep telling me to give it a go to see the difference, I guess only one way to tell 🙌

These plants are getting huge!!! I supercropped em down tonight and gave em a full blast of feed! I'm trying to keep leaves on but i did give them a small trim. they seem to be catching up to each other, I hope they will level out! They are gonna be big plants tho fo sho! Going to transfer tents this week probably. ____________________________________________________________________________ Moved them into the big tent! its snug, but they should be happy! Getting HUGE! ______________________________________________ I felt like they were in all their glory tonight! I got in there and gave em a big ol haircut and pulled out all the lower garbage. With the use of several spacers I really feel like I opened em up nicely and primed em up for some big buds to form. Two plants are def gonna be purple. We'll see about the other 2.

Week 5 from sprout. Welp the girls are in there stretching phase and there's a few alternating nodes. And ive switched some things so I'll try to be thorough for any future people reading. First i took out the two house speakers the pants were sitting on and put them on the floor. Which put my lights back at about 25 inches from the canopy.... again... I have a cut up air mattress lining the bottom and side as a make shift tub to catch the runoff. Honestly dunno how ima drain or empty it yet but i have 2 inches of a closet to figure that out. I reluctantly switched to tap water today, my ppm of straight cold water was 255 so hopefully the chlorine evaporates and the water temp raises before i water them. On that subject, I've switched up their feeding. A combination of cal mag, grow, and bloom. About 1.5 ml per gal of all three. Will be feeding this until the flowering stretch stops in a week or so at which time I'll omit the grow and cal mag and feed bloom. Each plant gets 1.5 liters 2 times a day. (Unless im busy/ lazy). Will update ppm when i get things dialed in. Took a good amount of leaves outta necessity of space and light.... and kinda to purposely stress them out jus a little to slow their growth just a tad.. I'm keeping the same 20/4 light schedule. As of right now still have the one led light. Which is why i keep having to move the lights/ plants. So i get as close to the sweet spot of par as possible. They're definitely sativa dominant and 4 plants are 30 inches or more. The small one is about 20 inches. . Ps.... I had to write all this shit twice cause my phone died.
