The plants have taken to their Earthboxes, especially #1 with the BuildASoil Light. The Earthbox with my Coots mix was the runt, plus I damaged the roots during transplant so it has an uphill battle, but I wouldn't count it out yet. It was looking droopy and with slight discoloration, but after a drench of Kashi Blend Tea (1/3 cup Kashi Blend, 1 teaspoon blackstrap molasses in 1 gallon of water for 24 hours) it perked right up. As for preventative pest management, I've kept doing foliar applications every 4 days of EM-FPE -> EM-1, next week I will incorporate the just-finished EM-5. I made a JADAM wetting agent (JWA) but I have realized even local bottled water is too mineral-heavy for it, so I will need to find a source of distilled water if I want to use it in my foliar regime. Next week I will begin doing LST to get some more tops going. At some point I plan to add a trellis, I have been busy with work but I will find the time to set up something, preferably a trellis that can move with the Earthbox to facilitate maintenance and not have them fixed in place for the entire training and flowering cycles.

As you can see in the pictures the girls have stretched quite a bit more and are starting to produce nice buds. I think the stretch should begin to slow down soon considering they're entering the third week tomorrow. That delicious sweet earlier flowering smell is getting a little stronger. Mmm! Nom nom! It is proving difficult to squeeze them both into a single picture in the room I photograph them in. I may have to start only photographing them separately next week 😅 We will see how it goes! I hope to acquire some photography florescent lights and a seamless background for future grows. Or, make a DIY background. This would allow me to take pictures elsewhere in the house where backgrounds and lighting aren't great. There was a little heat stress visible on some of the upper leaves but nothing major. I slept in yesterday morning and the lights were a little lower than they should have been. It did make the pictures a little less attractive, unfortunately. June 21st update. 7 days since flip Clone#1 Had balls got chopped two weeks ago Clone#2 Last week was 22 inches. This week is 33 inches. Very similar to clone number four but not as vigorous or large. I will say based on how it’s mother has handled toppings that this one is very resilient. Clone#3 Last week was 18 inches. This week is 30 inches. I am most excited for this one. Seems like it has a tighter structure, less spacing and more indica like leaves. It looks different while 4 and 2 look very similar. Can’t wait to smoke to this thing. Clone#4 Last week was 28 inches. This week is 41 inches. This one is an absolute animal. Huge node spacing. Heavy bud sites. Needs lots of supports. I love how aggressive this grows and I know this thing can handle some high humidity. Might keep this one just for outdoor growing. All 4 Clones: Will continue to only give water. Each plant is drinking about 4 gallons a week at the moment. The soil I put them in I highly amended with build of soil products and the starting soil was already hot. Really excited to see how they grow. Going to likely super crop this week just based on how they are currently stretching Parents: The one father and 3 mothers were looking bad in their small pots after the last aggressive topping so I was going to transplant. They have since recovered and are looking much better so I will be leaving them along for now God bless!

Keeping things simple again this week. Roots are already starting to come thru the starter pots drainage holes so I'd say the action below the surface has been what I was hoping for with this starter mix. I'll continue to provide a MegaCrop and Kelp Extract feedings to push her a little bit, I heard the term Synthganic the other day and it seems appropriate her, as I'm using organic and salt nutrients... I've got a little road trip planned so she may be coming down the shore with me over Thanksgiving.

Shes really doing her thing. I have had so much fun growing this and learning, It's exactly what I hoped for in a first grow, and better yet one of my favorite classic strains. So excited for real buds to fatten up.

Week 16 Everybody is on Flower! End of August: daylight 13h20: 7h20/20h40. Day temperature max: 26°C - Night temperature : 17°C Sunny weather - 2/3 rainy days in 2 weeks Enriched the soil with seaweed powder and bat guano. Continue to add flowering nutrients: Grower Master I added some Calmag one time. Watering 2L/plant every 3 days (2 days would be better) With humidity growing and the relatives hot temperatures: the predators are attacking plants. Everything appears so fast: Aphids, caterpillars, leaf miner flies. Did a general defoliation before spray my mixture Garlic + laurel (12cl Garlic juice + 5cl laurel infusion + 1L distilled water: beware PH!!). I sprinkled diatomaceous earth on top of soil to protect and minimize the infestation. Brake Pad Breath: still deep green and bushy. Flowering since 4 weeks. The most advanced, pretty good flowers with long pistils are growing. Spared until now: the plant is victim of Aphids, miner leaf flies and caterpillars in a « reasonable way »….try to eradicate the problem without shocking the plant at this stage. Flash Back#2: around 2 weeks flowering, stretched a few centimeters more, well developed plants with lot of blooming sites. Relatively spared by pests, just some aphids. GMO X Zombie Kush: some difficulties to recover….just engaged the flowering process, not to bad if she resist to the second pest’s wave. Royal Moby: uncertain destiny….recovering good, sativa style: 155cm, just starting the flowering stage…super late! Harvested a pretty auto flower: White Russian by Serious Seeds. Well developed plant, a little bit long to be ready but resinous and meaty buds.

7/19: Started new nutrients today. Filled gallon jug with new nutes. Poured half of new nute mix in half gallon jug. Poured the entire half gallon jug into reservoir. 7/20: Bumped light intensity to 50% 7/21: Filled reservoir to the 2nd line today. Added a total of 1 gallon to res to get it to that line. Poured the rest of the mixed nutes for this week (half gallon) and then another half gallon of just plain water. 7/24: Bumped light intensity to 55% 7/25: Sadness today 😞.. While in the process of doing more LST today I accidentally snapped the main stem. I Panicked! Moved plant back in opposite direction to counteract the split.
