Day 36, 25th of October 2021: Hi there and welcome to the first lovely day of the 6th week that is i beleive the last week of their vegetative stage because I am planning to switch the lamp to 12/12 from next week :) This week is not about LST anymore it is FIMing week that means all of them have FIMmed on all of their "heads" so like each plant approx 6-8 times.... Together, they have strong smell even without flowering lol 😆 Well, CBD Medi Kush is my favourite lady from here she will be another strong and big plant I think. Very cool I like this one even the smell already amazing! Afghani Gold typical bushy midget Indica with fan big leafs 🍃 nice creation she will be nice as well, I don't reckon with big strech :) Spliffs Strawberry 🍓 the typical Sativa with that saw leaves well, here I am afraid a bit of streching as she just FIMmed and Sativa however, I beleive she will be cool with that :) She looks pretty a bit lighter in colour. Blue Berry she is the hybrid lady and still looks a bit pale for me obviously she has got some deficiency but she will make it let's see what comes when she turns to flower.... I am excited 😁 I wanna give them several days before the darkness period which is 3 days and the from next week switching to 12/12. They are FIMmed only so it doesn't really stress them to give them much extra time to recover before flowering. I think it will be the right time to switch on the next week because I can see they really want to flower 🌼 ☺️ 😅 But for now lamp is still 18 hours on, set to be on 150W (approx 60% of the max) ventilation is on for 10 minutes in every 2 hours but the extraction fan is 18 hours on with the lamp... Humidity approximately is the same 50% and the temperature as well +/- 1-2 Celsius. Water intake increased approx 0.12-0.15L per day per plant. Fertilization is the same Epsom salt once a week, and then 2x a week Biobizz Family included BioGrow, BioBloom, TopMax and of course - Vitalink bat gunao also. Ratio is above. Happy Growing 👀

Weiter geht's, die Blüten reifen ☺️ Die Blüten sind schön harzig und prall geworden, jetzt müssen sie nur noch weiter reifen. Diese Woche habe ich auch Untersetzer mit Automatischer Bewässerung ausprobiert und bin bis jetzt sehr zufrieden. Durch Schnüre, die im Wasser hängen können die Stoftöpfe das Wasser von unten aufnehmen und die Pflanzen haben gut was weggezogen. Bis jetzt sind die Trichome noch sehr hell aber sie kleben wie nichts gutes 😁

First time running an auto. This will be last plant of current perpetual grow, hence the lower than ideal soil level - I ran out and am shutting things down and going on vacation in April so will get more around that time. Looking forward to running early lemon berry (ethos) when I start back up. Will include plant and light height and distance details once I begin LST. Her sister, punch berry cookies, will be moving to flower tent tomorrow. The auto will finish alone and in this tent. Video/photos taken 7 days after breaking soil.

This week i defoliated on day 18 because i have way too many top coming out and too many lowbuds that were getting no light from being covered by layers and layers of leaves. All strains but the og Martian have real tight internodal spacing.

D50 - The start of week three of flower and all is well. There isn't much to do at this point since the training is mostly done, and the watering is automated. D54 - The girls were home alone while I was gone on a trip. I'm sure they didn't miss me as everything was running automatically, but the differences between the two girls were more noticeable upon my return. The first is taller and more stretchy, with smaller, less developed buds, while the second is squatter, with much longer, fatter buds. I suspect that the second girl will finish sooner, but we'll see with time. The first girl stretched in my absence, and the canopy is now somewhat slanted, but I will try to even it out tomorrow. D56 - The last day of week three of flower. I was able to even out the canopy a bit, although there is still a bit of slant. There is only so much you can do when you're in a confined space.

September 25, 2021 Tons of growth this week. Its fun looking back at the pictures from a week ago compared to today, what a good week for these girls! They tripped in size in just a few days. The main stem on both plants is thick and strong. And I'm seeing significant signs of pre-flowering, especially with the Dinafem Critical+. That's super fast IMO. 4 weeks from seed to the start of flowering, 3 weeks from seedling. 👊 Fast Buds Blackberry is shorter but much stockier, with nice fat leaves. Definitely indica dominant. She hasn't started showing any purple yet, but that should start to develop in the flowering phase. I'm starting to see some pistols develop, but not as many as the Critical+. Its going to be exciting to watch both of these ladies through the flowering process. The Coast of Maine Stonington Blend is treating the girls very well, I'm very happy with the results so far. It is a little hot, I do see slight signs of nutrient burn on some leaf tips and also notice what looks like nitrogen toxicity on the tops. Nothing major, but it shows me there is still plenty of nutrition available in the soil. So far, this has been a water only grow, with a little Recharge once in a while. If they do start showing signs of nutrient deficiencies I'll start feeding them, but I'm very curious if they can make it from seed to harvest with only the nutrients available in the soil. Added CalMag. Day #35 - topping 2/3 Da5 #38 -decided to stop using top feeding. roots are strong enough to continue growth itself. Clones have recovered making roots and now standing by itself. Plant responded very well to adding of CalMag, decide to proccede with topping (2/3). Algae start to form on the top feed tube. removed for cleaning and decided to stop. top feed get good results for the first weeks for root development but later is not so relevant, so decided to stop to see the results.

Nun geht immer mehr mit den Buds doch leider wirkt auch der Mangel immer noch stark auf sie ein. Ich versuche weiterhin die Versorgung mit Komposttee zu gewährleisten.

(END OF QUARANTINE) Now I have put them to finish underground a 600w hps under 12/12 schedule with the Divine Black opium. Luckily no more mould has spread, and all plants look happy healthy and still developing. Day 72 12/09/24 Thursday De-chlorinated tap water pH 6 today with Plagron products. Finally a video and pictures update ✌️💚 Day 74 14/09/24 Saturday De-chlorinated tap water pH 6 only today Day 76 16/09/24 Monday Feed today using de-chlorinated tap water pH 6. Will update all videos and pics tonight 😁 Day 77 17/09/24 Tuesday Feed today using de-chlorinated tap water pH 6. Seeing good developments, buds forming nicely, divines are smaller denser structures but the buds are not lacking! Damn I'm surprised by 2L pots.

The increased CO2 allows plants to thrive at higher temperatures, which in turn necessitates higher humidity to maintain the ideal VPD for healthy growth and transpiration. 80F -5F = 75F LST with 70% RH = 0.72 kPa. Higher temperatures and humidity promote rapid growth, nutrient uptake, and photosynthesis while maintaining a lower stress level. Temperature influences the rate of enzymatic reactions involved in aerobic respiration. Enzymes, such as those involved in glycolysis, the Krebs cycle, and the electron transport chain, work most efficiently at an optimal temperature range. In low temperatures, enzymatic activity will slow down, thus reducing the rate of aerobic respiration. In high temperatures, enzymes can become denatured, thus impairing their function and stopping the process of aerobic respiration. Glucose is the primary fuel for aerobic respiration. The rate of aerobic respiration increases with the availability of glucose, as it is the starting point for glycolysis. If glucose levels are low, cells may rely on alternative energy sources such as fatty acids or amino acids , but these processes may yield less ATP or be less efficient. To determine this effect, carbon dioxide volume was measured (as carbon dioxide is an output of aerobic respiration) 18/6 with the 6 being IR. The near infrared (IR-a) borders around 700nm up to 1400nm @ photon par flux density of 1.8 instead of darkness, keeping temps overnight a neat 77F-80F. Think of my tent as a lung. The plant, as it performs cellular respiration, will always be releasing more water into the air, so the RH% of the tent overnight will always increase, so long as oxidative phosphorylation is occurring. As soon as the RH% creeps back up to 55%, the extraction turns back on, over and over. This creates a strong pressure differential which will work wonders on your grow. Replicating high and low-pressure fronts in nature. Critical for oxygen diffusion at the critical time of peak cellular respiratory function.. Moisture will not transfer from a saturated atmosphere to another if that air is already at or above its saturation point, meaning the air can't hold any more water vapor. Once I understood that water is produced as a by product during cellular respiration, specifically at the very end of the electron transport chain (ETC) where electrons are finally transferred to molecular oxygen, the higher the RH of the air, the more resistance there is for more moisture to be added to that environment, and effects the ease with which it does so. But none of that water comes from the pot; it's pulled from the air. If you run high daytime RH, your medium/pot is 100% reliant on transpirational root pull to move water. ZERO evaporation happens across the atmosphere if the tent air has high RH%, the medium cannot release its water through evaporation. Once a canopy develops, light no longer slowly wicks and evaporates from the topsoil. The Soil-Plant-Atmosphere Continuum (SPAC) describes the continuous pathway and process of water movement, driven by a gradient in water potential, from the soil, through the plant's roots, stem, and leaves, and finally evaporating into the atmosphere through transpiration. There is evaporation, there is transpiration, and then there is evapotranspiration; Evapotranspiration (ET) is the combined total of two processes: evaporation (water lost directly from soil and surface water into the atmosphere) and transpiration (water released from plants to the atmosphere through their leaves). Evapotranspiration represents the total amount of water that moves from the medium into the air. There is no such thing as a medium with too much water, only a medium that retains too much for too long. The water must always flow efficiently from one atmosphere(Medium) to another(Air) in a timely manner. Moisture is a critical factor for bacterial growth and decay. Dictating how long it's allowed to sit in any one location for any given period is a key preferred control. To ensure a net reduction in a bacterial population, the rate of removal (ET) must exceed the rate of bacterial growth (decay rate), which is often modeled as a growth rate for the specific bacterium under the given conditions. By optimizing daytime VPD, we also optimize conditions for bacterial growth to explode exponentially above 77°F.. If water is allowed to sit in a medium without an escape within a timeframe, nothing good will happen. IF High RH is maintained overnight as well as during the day, placing 100% of water movement at the behest of daytime transpiration, roots can only pull where they can reach, and if soil is compressed above a certain point, moisture will become trapped in a medium with no way of moving day or night. This will begin the countdown for decay to take hold. When water stagnates in a medium, it loses oxygen, creating anaerobic conditions that foster the growth of harmful microorganisms like bacteria and fungi, which can produce toxins and disease vectors. Thigmomorphogenesis, the process by which plants respond to mechanical stimuli like touch by altering their growth and development, results in significant morphological changes to improve survival against mechanical perturbations. This complex response involves sensing touch and initiating physiological and genetic responses, leading to changes in form and structure over days or weeks. The process is triggered by physical forces such as wind, rain, or touch. Plants adapt to these stimuli by changing their shape and structure, which may include slower growth, thickened stems, or altered leaf development. Plants possess sophisticated mechanisms to detect even subtle mechanical stimuli and initiate responses. A variety of molecules, including calcium ions, jasmonates, ethylene, and nitric oxide, are involved in signaling these mechanical inputs. Touch can induce the expression of genes that encode proteins for calcium sensing, cell wall modification, and defense mechanisms. A plant exposed to constant wind may become shorter and sturdier. A plant that is touched frequently might grow more slowly to conserve energy and develop thicker cell walls. These changes increase a plant's resilience and ability to survive in harsh environments.
