Hello Diary. We have reached the end of the journey.🙌 Fat Banana exceeded my expectations in every way. Smell, taste, yield. In the end I got a little less than 70g of dried flowers which is above average for my farm. 💪 Here's how it all went since the last call. 28/11/2020 - Day 65. Harvest. I checked with a microscope and most of the trichomes are milky and about 5% have turned brown. Everything is ready. After the last photo shoot, I cut the plant at the very bottom of the stalk. Before that, I prepared a handmade cardboard box in which I would put the branches to dry for a minimum of 10 days. After hanging the branches in the box, I put the box back in the grow box, between Haze Berry who had further extended their stay at the Farm. Temp / Humidity on the farm - 24.5 degrees and 38% humidity. 10/12/2020 - Day 77. After 12 days of drying, I took the dry branches out of the box and pruned the rest of the dry leaves. I put the dried flowers in jars, put in moisture fighters for better moisture regulation and for better curing. Temp / Humidity on the farm - 25.5 degrees and 39% humidity. 20/12/2020 - Day 87. Tasting. Great smoke, fruity tropical flavor. A brief overview of the whole story. Fat Banana Auto (Royal Queen Sees) - 18/09/2020 - Sprouted - 28/11/2020 - Harvest - Total 72 days. Three weeks of vegetation and six weeks of flowering. I did a small defoliation twice. A total of 68 g of yield. The best strain so far on my Farm. Finally, I would like to thank James from the Royal Queen Seeds, for his support, seeds and nutrients. The ladies light schedule was changed to 12/12 on Oct.30!❤️ The girls were doing great about 1 week after their big defoliation and SCROG being put in, I decided to flip to flower. I had been tucking and bending and had achieved about 80-90% canopy coverage, the last bit should fill in this week as they begin to stretch. During the 1st week of flower transition, I continued to tuck and bend where I could, trying to maintain an even canopy of tops, as well as fill in as many of the squares, as evenly as I can. It becomes a morning and night routine, I check on my humidifier, say good morning, and tuck away for about 5 minutes or so, it doesn’t take much at this point. Once the first week of stretch is through, I stop tucking branches and allow the tops to continue to grow upwards. I find that by using a SCROG method, there isn’t really a whole lot to do…I don’t defoliate until week 3, so it’s just feeding every 3-4 days and filling my humidifier! When I water is when I like to get under the canopy and check the stems and leaves for anything that shouldn’t be… and typically once a week after watering I’ll wipe down the tent and sanitize any surface I can. There is no reason to get lazy, that’s how you get Pests, Mold, and PM. Happy Gardening 🇨🇦👊❤️

Hi! At the beginning of the week, as planned, I switched the light schedule to 12/12, at the same time reduced the amount of nitrogen - it's time to go to the pre-bloom. Added a lamp with deep red diodes 660nm. Actually, now there is almost no need to do anything, just wait and pray for the energy system of Ukraine😇 Glory to Ukraine! 🇺🇦

Victory over the moth larvae. Removed them with pipe cleaners. Still spraying Monterey BT. No new larvae holes. Reinforced several plants with velcro tape. The flowers are becoming heavy. The scent is overpowering. Sugar Cane is extraordinarily heavy and the flowers have not yet begun to swell. Gorilla Glue 4 is heavy and the branches have started to bend outward from the weight. All three were reinforced. Garlic Z is not a large plant and the buds are behind all the rest in progress but the flowers are close and compact.

Harvest day First day of dry 10/2/25

Just cruising at this point. Got them all on the same moisture level again. Slight infestation with gnats, but nothing to worry about at this stage. Will start giving a bit less water soon and have a big last defol in a week or so. They got their mix of mycos, trichs, bacteria and molasses again, seem to love it. Slight discoloration on the top OGT buds, but they're the tallest and receive 1100 ppfd, so I won't adjust anything.

Day 91-92 CPK. WHITE DEATH decended on her neighbors. Mold showed up on one bud in 2 of the other plants in this tent, not on this plant but in plants on either side. Got some great advice from a grower that goes by m0use and thanks so much I followed your advice and am seeing no mold or damage. I removed the top that had the mold growing 2 inches below the affected spot there was nothing under or behind it or anywhere else that I could see so I must have caught it very early. Next I mixed 2 cups of spring water with 2 ounces of 3% hydrogen peroxide, then misted the whole grow until I had used it all. This was done at lights out I placed a fan in front of the tent opened the tent on all sides and let the fan dry her off before the lights came back on. When the lights came back on there were a few places at the back of the tent where I used a paper towel to dab some wet leaves then blow dried with no heat to be sure that section was dry, the blow dry was only a minute or 2. It worked plants looking great checked trichomes and they are all there and clear so mission accomplished. Again thanks to m0use for the help and I plan to start bud washing between chop and dry on all grows, I tried to reply to all answers on my grow questions but once again the techno caveman doesn't know how to do something simple. Copy and pasteing this on the other diaries... Yep that I can do. Ok happiness flush continues and starting to see some cannibal fade. Day 96 CPK. Finally got some color on this hulk. Day 97 CPK. Watered ph 5.8 she is so close that I did not check runoff. Got the big Banana out of the tent so I moved her forward and gave her a good inspection. Found one of the small outer tops that had been facing the back wall had a small half inch area of thin white mold which got cut out. I've added a mini dehumidifier in the tent and a large one to the room. I've never had a mold issue until I switched out that big16" oscillating fan for the 6" monkey fan. Strongly suspect there is no substitute for the amount of air that big fan moved. Especially since I added 1 more oscillating fan under the canopy to the 1 that was already there plus the dehumidifiers plus the 2 clip fans that have been there from the start of the grow. My rh is around 50%, CO2 around 1200 ppm. My other theory is over the winter there was COVID in the house and we kept the humidity in the house high to keep from coughing our heads off which has led to a mold bomb effect.

This is week 4 around day 22 a few more days and flower will begin. I didn't want to push them to far to the edge of my 1.5 mx 1.5m space because of the restriction of the 600w hps flowering set up.

A microbe product, PH going into the medium is around 6.5-6.8 and coming out is between 5.5-5.8, so something is acidifying it up. Also noticed the runoff last week was a bit higher at times. So lowered the feed down quite a bit, going in at 1.4EC vs 1.8 will bump it up to 1.5 and 1.6 in the next few weeks. I also added in a bit of a PK booster. nothing to crazy only 60ppm worth on a total allowance of 700PPM Lights now running at 100% with V1 spectrum, decided to go with 100% now vs after stretch, will see how it works out. No defoliation this week, letting her fill out a bit and will do another defoliation next week. Added half strength of big bloom and grow big with about a half liter on each plant since they are in for and so far they seem to have no issues.

So after finding litteral balls no bananas the plant isn't doing much anymore, not stretching at all, just flowering. I had some issues this grow but the perfomance should still be better, the plant is also not "Red" Gorilla Girl, bummed about that as well. Values are average of the day. Things ticking along no real stresses this week. Starting to show some white hairs and still stretching. Temps and humidity much better this week and a lot easier to manage without the co2.

I had the lights at the suggested level from the company we got it for seedlings and it started to burn them. We have a 750W LED light and it was set to 40%. We turned it down to 30% for the first few weeks.
