Same old same old. No changes this week at all. Having changed it up to watering every day has made a huge difference and this plant is really bulking. My guess will be another 2 weeks till chop time. The smell is very strong and when rubbing a leaf I still pick up a fruit smell.

Week 6 for Gelato 41 Besides the sad injury she suffered from her accident (losing a main top branch), shes really starting to take off at a rapid pace wouldn't say its the same plant from the week before. Shes definitely a bushy girl, the bottom branches have fully caught up to the tops. Going to start training her a bit size ways now as she clearly favours getting bushier. Also gave her some outdoor sun for 3 days in a row as we had some cloudy days to start hardening off her leaves, but not fully transitioning fully outdoors just yet.

Before diving into the details, let’s start with a note on my flowering timeline. While this is Week 4, I don’t start counting flower days the moment I flip to 12/12. Instead, I wait for the plants to show true signs of bloom. It’s a small but significant distinction that keeps things accurate and aligned with the plants’ development. 🌱 Defoliation: Timing is Everything! Defoliation is a critical part of the flowering stage, and I typically wait until Day 21. However, this week, I tackled it earlier on Day 17 because: 1️⃣ The room was simply too full. 2️⃣ And most importantly—the Papaya Zoap had other plans! She’s a fighter—determined, defiant, and constantly reaching for the moon. Despite intense training like super cropping, she’s still pushing upward, nearly outpacing the LED lights. Challenges like this remind us of a simple truth: gardening mirrors life. It’s about resilience, adaptation, and unwavering determination. 💪 This week, I added a second SCROG layer. While this net will support the flowering colas, it’s also there to strategically manage the Papaya Zoap. Why? Because experience has taught me that if she grows out of the LED’s range, she won’t finish properly—and that could disrupt the balance for every other plant in the tent. It’s all about teamwork, even in the garden. 🌟 Defoliation was intense, removing nearly all the leaves with stems to clear space and boost airflow. The tent now looks dramatically different! This girl grew for 72 days. She shared a bed with 2 other plants and only used one of the lights in the darkroom (180 watt electric sky). She produced beautiful dark buds that smell insanely sweet. I have only vaporized 1 decent sized bowl through my mighty vaporizer and I must say it tastes pretty good even without a cure. No green earth taste and it tastes just like it smells. Doesn't produce any dry mouth or eyes so that's nice. I Vaped it right before I left for work and I didn't even get chinky eyed when I walked outside into the light. So it's a great daytime smoke. I definitely feel high, I just don't feel like other people can tell :). She grew in living soil And I am convinced that it's the way to be 💪0

The time is quickly approaching, when these three girls will be harvested and whole-plant dried for like 2 weeks or so. I believe I will be harvesting this coming weekend after I check the maturity of the trichomes. I'm hoping that Big Lemon produces at least 2 LBS of dried flowers.
