Grow diary 11 stage 8 Day 71 to 80 This west coast o.g is attempting to flower after I knocked an hour off the lights. I'm thinking she needs me to go 12/12 so really her autoflower gene is redundant. She is taking over the tent and I'm having to move plants to another tent to finish them off. But on the bright side once the other 3 plants are out I can go back to adding a bit more nitrogen get it healthy and throw my net over her and switch to flower.

Hallo zusammen, wie gestern angesprochen ist es nun so weit. Die Green Gelato´s und ihre nebst Gefährtin Secret Source, haben ihr Lebensziel erreicht und wurden kopfüber in 2 separaten Zelten aufgehängt. Es wurde schon sehr eng in dem 80er Zelt, wo die drei Gelato´s verblieben sind. Wir haben auch beide Zelte miteinander mit der Luftzufuhr verbunden, so das wir beide Zelte jetzt mit einem 100er Abluftventilator betreiben. Der Abluftschlauch liegt im Fenster- Kit, was noch von dem Klimagerät vorinstalliert war und wird nach außen abgeführt. Die ideale Trocknungstemparatur (höchstens 18° Grad Celsius) bekommen wir aufgrund des Sommers leider nicht ganz gewährleistet. Aber auch positiv, wir sind keine 10° Grad Celsius drüber^^ Zur relativen Raumfeuchte: Wir fahren im Moment mit ca. 66- 68 % was trotz momentanen Regen nicht schlecht ist zum Anfang. Ein wildes Tagebuch mit einigen Tiefen Aber uns das ist uns das wichtigste, mit einem positiven Ende trotz allem :-) Wir hoffen, dass wir auch mit negativen Momenten den ein oder anderen ggf. vielleicht bei seinen nächsten ähnlichen Erfahrungen eher helfen können bzw. etwas mitnehmen konnten. Auch wir, haben in diesem Lauf wieder vieles gelernt, festigen und oder verbessern können. Einige Stellschrauben werden wir demnächst eher stellen, anders Einstellen. Es hört nie auf und das, dass ist glaube ich das Leidenschaftlich phänomenale für uns auf dieser Ebene :-) Ansonsten viel Spaß mit einigen Fotos und Video! Da mir (männlich) im Herbst ca. auch wieder eine größere OP bevor steht, wird das dann für dieses Jahr auch mal der letzte Lauf sein. Auch den Garten werden wir in Zukunft aufgrund dessen erstmal sein lassen. Smoke Report wird noch folgen, die Buds sehen wieder schön fest aus und zeigen ein starkes Terpenen Profil. One gal hermed :( Guessing as a result of the crushed tubing a few weeks back + defoliation. However, there has been some other wonkiness this grow such as no auxiliary buds on one, and 15-point leaves on another! So perhaps this is just a weaker strain not suited for training?🤷‍♂️ Checked all the other plants and no pollen sacks just yet - fingers crossed! (I sprayed down the whole tent with water as a just-in-case measure) Last big defoliation this grow! ~~~~~~~~~~ Aside from that, everything's looking good. Smaller gals are stretching considerably, two big gals have slowed down to a crawl. The tall gals are about 12'' from lamp, the others 15" - if things don't slow down I may have to consider some HST (nooooot my preference, all things considered - I'll end up with seeds, guaranteed). Or, if I don't see any significant burn, maybe I let them go and just harvest the top portions early? We'll see! More and more hairs every day, buds are getting bigger! ~~~~~~~~~~ OK! - Its the strain! Has to be. Woke up this morning and one of the big gals had fully open pollen-sacks :(((( Picked off every one I could find with tweezers This gal did not have crushed tubing issues, and everything tracked fine. This leads me to believe that these plants just aren't meant for stress training. This day and age - the breeder will usually give you info on the subject - I can't find this online ANYwhere. I know who the breeder is - (big big name-sticker was on the bag) so this comes as quite a surprise to me...but at the same time - you can't find them on the website. Feels like it was given up on, and I snagged some of them on sale, from a distributor who had some left? Best guess. (gal starting putting out foxtails a cpl weeks later - 10'' from lamp) ~~~~~~~~~~ Thought maybe the three smaller gals could use a trellis - unfortunately I did not train them well enough - they are a little too cramped/bushy. I will have to use the Bamboo support system from here on and the trellis would clip bud-sights. So worse case, I'll use zip ties / rope to keep them supported. If its anything like my first grow - the mainline/manafold will do most the work anyhow.

Week 17 Day 113 (04/12/2020)💧: Nice start to the week with a watering. Just as last week, I will be giving her the increased nutrients until the flush. However, I will stop with the CalMag because it seems that the leaves are damaged because the buds are absorbing so many nutrients. I don’t think the CalMag can help here 😅. So today I gave her 1.5ml of BioGrow, 6ml of BioBloom, and 6ml of TopMax. Day 114 (05/12/2020): The trichomes were looking beautiful today! You can see in the pictures that some are getting more amber now which is a great sign that she is almost ready 🌸 Day 115 (06/12/2020): Took a quick pic of the tent but didn’t have much time to check the girls properly. I’m sure they are great as always 👌 Day 116 (07/12/2020)💧: I watered the girl today with the same nutrients: 1.5ml of BioGrow, 6ml of BioBloom, and 6ml of TopMax. The buds on this girl are looking super dense and even the ones at the bottom are getting bigger! I hope that this 6ml of TopMax will fatten them up even more in the next few weeks before harvest 😄 Day 117 (08/12/2020): Didn’t have time to take pictures today actually Day 118 (09/12/2020): I’ve gotta say that the smell is definitely evolving in a more sweet direction. It has developed into a kind of a citrusy/grape-flavoured sweet drink. It smells so good I wanna eat it 🍽️😋 Day 119 (10/12/2020)💧: Watered the girl today with the same nutrients as last time giving them 1.5ml of BioGrow, 6ml of BioBloom, and 6ml of TopMax. She doing well but again some of the leaves and stems at the bottom were definitely a bit sad and wilting. But nevertheless, I took some videos and close-ups pictures and the buds look incredible. Also looking from their trichomes, I noticed some more amber ones so I am thinking to even start the 2 weeks flush from next watering onwards and prepare for harvest! Will assess the trichomes in a few days and decide.

This week has been all about shaping the plant. I’ve learned from last that the colas weren’t the same height, because I let the plant do it’s things with just a bit of training. Now I know what to look for so I’m trying my hardest. I top dressed this week with crab meal, Gaia green all purpose 4-4-4, insect frass, kelp meal, bone meal, azomite, and covered it with a healthy serving of worm castings (about an inch to 2 inches). All of which was sprinkled on all the chopped and dropped leaves/branches. I believe in adding biomass to soil, especially for an indoor growing who is money conscious. Doing that can help save me money going back to the store for more soil.

Marijuana cultivation, like any agricultural endeavor, involves various techniques to optimize growth, yield, and potency of the plant. This is the week to make it happen! Week 2 of flower, RO water change with an EC of 1.3. Will adjust from here and observe the next day or two. Although you watched as I did a major defoliation, as you can see, they have bounced back pretty quickly. As of now, I will be defoliating every few days just to keep the light penetrating the canopy so we have some nice buds come harvest time. 9/17 Didn't know this was a new week or I would've taken more pictures. I'm glad I took those two plants. As it dries and I start to trim I could see where it could've turned to rot real easy. It rained enough last night to soak all the girls. The two bottoms I harvest look like the have pm on them. If so I'll wash it or through it in the concentrate bag. Found a few colas a dropped which will go in the concentrate bag. Scoping the toasted toffy and the event horizon and the both look AMAZING! I've scoped the others and I'm extremely impressed. They may be difficult to grow strains but they have high cannabinoid content. The sherb cream pie has really come to life and turned totally purple with beautiful flowers. The girl in the 50 has several soda can sized buds. I hope this weather holds up. I don't like flowers this size getting wet. The sativa leaning hydrid us the only one I may have trouble with. It's only in a 10 gal but it's enormous! If needed I coyld bring it inside at night. The buds look like cat tails. I'm used to growing indica dominant strains. Plant us super healthy though. I'll be intrigued jail for a while and I've gotta make contact with whoever is going to do my extracts. I'll keep this updated. It's a lot of work bur it's worth it. 9/18 WATERED EVERYTHING I GALLON BUT THE BOTTOMS OF THE 2ND EV AND THE TT WHICH EACH GOT A HALF. Since harvest I've noticed some pm spring up on the toasted toffy. Looking at the other event horizon through a scope the trichs are all milky with some amber. I'm just waiting for A LITTLE more amber. And for me to have time and or room. I decided to harvest the tops and majority of one of my event horizon and toasted toffy. Today during an inspection I found a couple grey mold branches and some botrytis on my big GMO on the back. This plant is done. It's by far the furyhest ahead. Septoria effected the yield a little but pistols were retracted and amber was at like 10%. I thought about it and I watched the plant next to it with the pm have a branch I supported just "slough off". Right in my face. I figured if there was a sign tjis was it. I cut that rot off and put the buds from the branch in a bag and froze them then I went around and harvested the limbs on the other plant that were furyhest along. I took about half of it. I could've taken more and maybe I should've but I'm tired. I also noticed a couple spots of grey mold on the plant in the 50. All the leaves were falling off. I finally scoped it and it was right whetr I wanted it to be. Looking at the colors I'm glad I spent so much time the past few days. That one I hung whole. The sherb cream pie has something eating the fresy shoots (probably ear wigs. But the buds are fattening and the trichs aren't quite there. I'm going to let the rest of this stuff go ad long as possible. With the exception of the other event horizon. I finally tried it. It's fucking killer. I could take that plant now. The only reason I'm not is because I have to much work on my husband's as is. I'll do some videos amd pictures but I'm tired as fuck. Got to try event horizon. Very fucking impressed! 9/19 The past 3 days I've been working 5 a.m. to dark. I went back and harvested the bottoms of the toasted toffy and event horizon 1. After injury from harvest they contracted wpm. I used this as a learning experience and put some away in the freezer for concentrates and used a peroxide and water bucket. That's what kills the p.m. anyway. I hung them and they spun in the wind. I blew them lightly with a leaf blower before putting them ok strings I had previously setup with a fan in front of it. I kicked ass today. Toasted toffy got sampled and did NOT disappoint. I had it in a jar though and it was green so I'm not counting this. I do have some dry. I have indoor left too. Like in the video that one GMO looks like it's fucking dying or something. I'd rather cut it and use it for concentrates if it effects my healthy plants. I just checked on that plant in the 50 I hung. It looks amazing under the scope and smells better. Decisions, decisions. I do have a few calls I should make sooner rather than later. We are supposed to be getting rain. 9/20 The past 3 days have been hard. The wife's medical stuff is acting up and I had to tend to harvesting a few. My whole body hurts. I even did my first bud wash yesterday! The ev and tt I took and left some buds on ended up covered in pm. So I decided fuck it and tried bud washing. I also froze some for extracts. Speaking of which I need to male contact with whoever I'm going with this year because I think I've reached the point of diminishing returns on that dieing GMO. When it comes to grey mold and botrytis I don't fuck around. Winds are really high today. Putting the scope to the sherb pie is making me second guess myself too. Oh well. It's not going to rain today. And if needed I can move them in the barn. If I get ahold of Mt processor I'll chop that GMO and bring it right there. The other thing is that I've got tons of weed and a lot of its hanging so I've gotta find someone that will do a batch of live rosin then like a elbow of dry. This is the best part of the year. We'll It's supposed to be. Cutting down good plants us bittersweet. I don't mind chopping that one gmo a little early though because it's close to hitting the point of no return. That little sativa dominant hybrid in the ten is HUGE! The buds are swelling like crazy too. It's got a COUPLE septoria spots but this thing is resilient and easy to move around. This will finish perfectly. So far I'm happy with what I have. I'm GRATEFUL. The two September plants I tried were GREAT. A 90/10 and an 80/20 and they both suprised me and got me exactly whete I wanted to be. I'll keep things updated. I did a video I'll upload. 9/21 Weather is still great and the buds don't even seem wet in the morning. The thing is is that something (rot or ear wigs probably both) have stripped lower interior branches. In some cases stripping them ENTIRELY or chewing the stem right off. It wasnt happening to my favorite GMO or the one in the 30 and the like on in the ten. The Sherb pie I noticed grey mold on 3 different branches. Last time I checked trichs it wasn't ready but I've got to get a handle on this mold/pests or it's going to he taken a little early. We have incliment weather coming Wednesday I think. I'll bring the 10 inside and if I have to I'll bring that perfect GMO in as well. I'm going to scope everything again today. I called a bunch of extractors for prices. I was going to do fresh rosin and just yank and drive but that is looking to be harder. I can get badder made CHEAP from a reputable lab. I think I'll do that. They prefer dry and that way I could through what's left from last year in there. I have this other one GMO that I've had the same issues with. I'm sick of removing bud rot or having to cut interior branches off due to pm. Tried toasted toffy and it was fucking amazing. I'm planning on trimmingvthe ev and if I finish I can bring the other one in. It's done. It's not getting any bigger. Trichs aren't changing. That GMO I am going to scope when I get home and it will be coming down in the next couple days. Otherwise I'll end up with half of what's there. The GMO I took the tops from is finishing up too. If I scope that and it looks decent and I have the time I'll take the remainder. I'm leaning towards doing at least a lb dry for extracts. I've got some frozen. I've got some hanging and most is still in the ground. I sleep on all major decisions. However, I know getting my nice buds soaked when I'm already losing shit to budrot and grey mold isn't the smartest thing. I'll probably take what I can and bring the others inside to keep them safe. I didn't think I'd have this much quantity. I knew quality would be good but this isn't a bad year quantity wise either. I'll keep this updated. 9/22 Busy as hell! Rain coming Tuesday. After a final check of the scope and the flowers and I took the GMO that all the leaves had fallen off of. That plant is going straight to extracts with the one in the thirty. I also "finished" harvesting that GMO that was furthest along. Trichs were getting amber. Been in trim jail. Was going to take the Sherb Pie but I'm not seeing amber yet. I did have to cut off some branches that had rotted. I'll keep an eye on it. It will come down when it's ready. It just sucks losing little bits of it. My favorite GMO is sooooo close to perfect. I should just take it but I'll wait. If we get rain I'll bring that and the sativa looking one in the ten is the barn. Back to work now. Before I forget what strain is what lol. 9/23 Still busy as fuck. I chopped the other event horizon amd hung it whole. It's DONE and it doesn't need to go through the rain storm. I also took the majority of the GMO early pheno. What's left will get plucked off and used for extracts. The big one in the 50 is getting dry. I have finished the event horizon and I'm not "finished" with the toasted toffy but I have it in 5 gal buckets with a food grade lid so u can at least cure correctly. The gmo is still hanging. I'm wondering whether I should wait it out or chop. I'm gonna take care of what I have inside first and hope that shit doesn't eat my plants or that it doesn't rot off. That perfect GMO has one branch with some grey mold. I might cut it off. I'll keep this

First grow since 2020, with around 250 grams for an outdoor which has kept me going as I'm not a big smoker. No option for outdoor this year so with summer coming to an end indoor it will be in my tin garden shed. Bit of a heat wave this week but likely to cool down by the time I plant. Then just hoping the weather gods are nice for the next 4 months. Not too hot. Not too cold...just right🙄 Soaked seeds last night and now in paper towels. Planning on 5 plants anyhow, will veg for 4 weeks and flower for 9 to 10 or whenever ready. Hoping to harvest early winter before it gets really cold. Coco coir perlite mix this time and using the whole Mills range. Should be fun anyhow. Not expecting the same rewards of my last outdoor, but anything over 100 grams I'll be happy with. Anyhow, as far as germination goes I have 5 seeds to play with. In a glass of water for 8 hours, then paper towel in a zip lock bag in a warm location, including my pocket and next to me sleeping. Within 24 hours 3 of the 5 had germinated. I have doubts that 1 of the 2 remaining will germinate at all as it's a small mongrel seed but who knows. Update...all seeds germinated even the last mongrel seed. I like keeping em warm, in bed with me, in my pocket when cold and not in bed. The last seed that I didn't think had a chance from the start popped 2 days after the rest, after I put the zip lock bag with the paper towel in my pocket for a couple of hours. 100% ain't bad that's for sure. Every time I grow I do the same thing, no u may not see this method recommended but it works for me. Last few grows I've germinated them in my underwear, while wearing of course. Nice and warm thats for sure, maybe its the fluctuation 🤣 Go on, do a google search on the underwear germination method, doubt any hits will be found 🤣

Day 43 - 49 My beauty has a problem :(. This my first growing with coco and showing my neophyte skills... Everything was going fine until I realized my lady starting have some potassium issues. So, I increased the fertilizers to provide more potassium. Additionally, I also wanted to check the run-off water. I have never done that because I thought I was doing a good job. After checking the run-off water, I realized that I screwed up :) I am sharing the data of the irrigation water: pH: 6.06 EC: 875 mS/cm And now please look at the run-off water data: pH: 5.16 EC: 7750 mS/cm Yes you read it right, and I am sure the EC and pH is literally f****d! So, there is no deficiency on the plant. She is literally drowning and there is huge nutrient lock problem... Yesterday (28/08/2024), I flushed her with 8L of water and ~6 pH. Today, I watered her with fertilizer like as always, then checked again the run-off water and NOTHING has changed... So, I will do a couple of more flushing, I hope I will manage to fix the problem but if the situation continues like that, it won't end up nice... I am open every kind of suggestions fellas.

They smell like cola sometimes, they are growing so fast it's unreal i think they may be done after 7 weeks! I'm sure i could harvest them now 😅 they look frosty and swollen.

starting my second grow. *sorry for the fingermarks on the propagator* I am using the propagator pro 2 from Zamnesia as well as their smart start pots, I used some of the stimulator mix in 5cm lukewarm water. seeds usually sprout in 3-6 days. using half the advised water quantity with the perlite to avoid too high RH problems ( see my other grow week 1) Day 2- one seed cracked open and one is laying the first root. germination in 48 hours :) I am very excited about this one because I learned from my mistakes. my cups are ready. my 3L pot is on the way, no fimm or topping. just lst and defoliation as needed. first dose of bio heaven and root juice as soon as I plant update! Tuesday 21st. I started a second seed of GG auto in case the first one gives up, 5cm of water and a drop of root juice and bio heaven. Day 5 (wed 22) Sticky Beast is In a cup, as soon as the GG is ready I will put it in its 11lL pot. the SB gets a pot in 2 weeks when the pot is free Day 6 (Thu 23) my rescue seed got mold, the first GG seed that had a weird root that broke off (the tip) bounced back 2 days later, another 2 days till I intend to plant her, will seed what the rescue seed does till then

6/10/2024 the fades coming in nicely. I probably could have pushed her with nutes for a couple weeks and possibly gotten her to thicken up a bit. But she is pretty thick as is. She's going through water quick and I keep forgetting and so she's finishing a bit quicker I think. I may chop soon but this plant is probably a 90 day strain. I feel like most autos can fall into that range 6/15/24 she was cut. I will add a harvest week soon.

Week 02 Introduction This week has been a bit of a struggle. Had my first experience dealing with slime and brown algae. But I think adding enzymes and increasing the beneficial bacteria helped to fix the issue. Also experienced nutrient burn for the first time. My nutrient solution strength got as high as 671 PPMs. So backed it down to about 430 PPMs during the end-of-week reservoir change. Also cut Hydroguard (expired?), CaliMagic, and Superthrive from this grow. Now she's still stunted, but is starting to recover. Hopefully... [START OF WEEK 02] Day 01 - Monday - 08/10/20 - Total Days: 008 ----------------------------------- - [0830]: Still looks a bit yellow. But getting larger! --- Solution strength was at 248 PPMs. --- Just topped off with a bit of distilled water --- PH went up to 6.1 so PH'd down to 5.8 --- Ran the top feed for a bit to wet the hydroton. - [2130]: She's looking even more yellow now. --- Even the new leaves are really yellow. --- Decided to add more base nutes. --- Added 4ml of Sensi A --- Added 4ml of Sensi B --- Now at about --- Solution Strength went up to 304 PPM. --- PH was at 6, --- Also raised the water level a bit more. --- I really hope it's a nutrient deficiency and not an over-watering issue. --- Please live! Day 02 - Tuesday - 08/11/20 - Total Days: 009 ----------------------------------- - [0830]: Looking less droopy. But still yellow. --- Decided to do a reservoir change. --- 4.5gal of distilled water --- 8ml of Sensi Grow A --- 8ml of Sensi Grow B --- 8ml of Voodoo Juice --- 4ml of B-52 --- 4ml of CaliMagic --- 4ml of Hydroguard --- 4 drops of Superthrive --- PH'd down to 5.8 --- Solution strength: 302 PPM --- Since I didn't want to risk over-watering the rockwool, I did not to do a top feed, may do one tonight after the sleep cycle (lights are still set to go off at 10am and back on at 4pm). --- As I was doing a reservoir change, I noticed that the tubes and bucket were a bit slimy. Didn't really stink or anything. Is this normal? Maybe due to the Hydroguard and Voodoo Juice? --- I hope she gets better soon! - [2215]: Getting larger! But still yellow. --- Also can see a root growing through the net pot! Tiny little thing but it's there! Will have to start dropping water once more appear. --- After looking over a few DWC diaries using AN nutes, seems like my solution strength is still too low. Most around this stage average around 500 PPMs with about 4ml per gallon. --- Top fed for a minute to wet the top of the hydroton. --- Solution strength went down to 263 PPM. --- Added 8ml more of Sensi A --- Added 8ml more of Sensi B --- Now base nutes are at 16ml for 4.5 gal of water. --- PPMs went up to 411. --- Still lower than 500 PPMs, but that's okay. --- PH was at 6. Not sure if I should adjust PH using AN nutes. So going to not ajdust unless PH goes above 6.1. Day 03 - Wednesday - 08/12/20 - Total Days: 010 ----------------------------------- - [0830]: Looks like more root growth! --- She still looks yellow. But leaves are perky. --- PH was at 6.2 so lowered down to 5.8. --- Solution strength was at 394 PPMs --- Since roots are still growing, I decide to lower the water level a bit. Now water level is a bit below the net pot. - [2200]: Root is getting longer! --- Slime is returning. I hope the added enzymes will help eliminate the slime. --- Going to do a full reservoir sterilization/nutrient change over the weekend. Please survive until then girl! Day 04 - Thursday - 08/13/20 - Total Days: 011 ----------------------------------- - [0930]: I think the enzymes worked! There is little to no slime now! --- Although I think the root was also dissolved in the process. It's now just a little stub sticking just below the net pot. The enzyme is also suppose to dissolved dead roots too but guess that root was too weak? Not sure what happened there. But I think the slime is cured! --- Solution strength went down to 395 PPMs. Decided to add more base nutrients. --- Added 8ml of Sensi A --- Added 8ml of Sensi B --- Added 4ml of B-52 --- Solution strength went up to 598 PPMs. --- PH was at 6.1 --- As long as the PH is between 5.5 and 6.3, I'm not going to use PH Up or Down. But still will monitor PH levels. - [1715]: Checked up on her after her nap and shes looking alive but stunted. But no slime! --- Decided to add some sugars to help maintain the enzymes and beneficial bacteria. --- Solution strength was at 587 PPMs. --- PH was at 6.2 --- Added 8ml of Bud Candy --- Solution strength went up to 671 PPMs. --- PH also went up to 6.3 --- Lowered water level a bit to hopefully promote more root growth. --- Top fed for a minute. --- She is getting bigger, but still looks yellow. Day 05 - Friday - 08/14/20 - Total Days: 012 ----------------------------------- - [0915]: Leaves look a little burnt on the tips. Still no slime. --- Going to back off on the PPMs to hopefully fix the nutrient toxicity. --- Solution strength was at 632 PPMs --- PH was at 6.3 --- Added/Removed water until PPMs were at 536. --- PH was still at 6.3 --- Raised water up a bit, then top fed for a minute. - [2200]: Looking better. Still yellow though. --- Solution strength: 514 PPMs --- PH: 6.5 --- Added PH down. --- New solution strength: 518 PPMs --- New PH: 5.2 --- PH was kind of high. So decided to PH down. Had to use quite a bit to bring it down. But eventually got it to drop down to 5.3. A little low, but so far, the PH has always gone up so wanted to start it really low. --- Ran the top feed for a minute to re-saturate the top of the hydroton. Day 06 - Saturday - 08/15/20 - Total Days: 013 ----------------------------------- - [0830]: She looks stunted. leaves are still yellow. --- Solution strength: 514 PPMs --- PH: 5.6 --- Top fed for a minute. --- Not sure what to do at this point. Going to do another reservoir change soon. Hoping she lives until then. - [2145]: Looking pretty much the same. --- A bit of slime has returned. Since I've been diluting the nutrient solution, the enzyme ratio has dropped. So I guess this is expected. --- Also noticed that slime build up was on the air-stones. Never really checked the stones so not sure how long that has been there. Looks brown too, which can't be good. --- Going to do an H202 sterilization of the system (minus the net pot) tomorrow so did not add anything. --- Lowered the water level to below the net pot. --- Then top fed for a minute. Day 07 - Sunday - 08/16/20 - Total Days: 014 ----------------------------------- - [0900]: STERILIZATION DAY! --- Decided to skip today's night cycle for a deep clean. --- I'm hoping that skipping a night cycle won't be too stressful. --- Temporarily moved her to a new bucket. --- Used about a half of gallon of straight distilled water to flush out the net pot. --- Drained the system and wiped up all the brown sludge. Also removed the air stones and cleaned up all the goo. --- Filled the system with 2 gallons of distilled water and at least 30ml of food grade hydrogen peroxide (35% strength). --- Yea its a lot, but since I'm not going to sterilize the system overnight, I went with a really high doseage. Basically I kept adding until I started to see little bubbles start to form. --- Then I ran the water pump. - [0915]: Boiled the air stones in tap water for about 10 min. Then reconnected them to the airlines. --- I let the air stones and hose soak in the sterilization solution for about 5 minutes so the peroxide can absorb into the stones. Then ran the air stone to help mix and agitate the solution. --- Occasionally, I'd repeat the process of turning the air pump off for a few minutes to let the stones soak. - [1000]: Covered the top two row of holes of the net pot with some aluminum tape. Hopefully this solves the light leaking in through the hydroton. - [1200]: Used an old toothbrush and scrubbed the pump clean. Then drained the system. --- Refilled with more distilled water and peroxide. Again added a lot. --- Ran system again to sterilize even more. - [1530]: Drained the system and refilled with distilled water to rinse. --- Ran the system for a few minutes, then drained and rinsed again. --- Did this a few more times over about an hour. - [1630]: Added 4 gallons of fresh distilled water. --- Added 15ml Sensi Grow A --- Added 15ml Sensi Grow B --- Added 12ml of B-52 --- Added 16ml of Voodoo Juice --- Added 16ml Sensizym --- Solution strength was at 430 PPMs --- PH was at 5.6 --- I was going to add Hydroguard, but I think the bottle is expired. Since 2017 or 2018!? I think Hydroguard is good for up to 2 years from the date on the bottle or 6 months after opening. So not going to use from now on. I wonder if this could have contributed to the slime build up. --- Also removed the CaliMagic and Superthrive too. Going to only use AN products to eliminate the chance of incompatible nutrients. --- Placed her back in the bucket and top fed for a minute. --- Here's hoping for the best.
